Great Hotel and great localization. The room was perfect.
not only was the imperial hotel a quietly luxurious place to stay with wonderful service, staying there felt like being part of history. i believe that the original hotel was designed by frank lloyd wright and though the original is no longer standing, pieces from the destroyed hotel have been incorporated into the current lobby. it seems that an effort has been made to retain the frank lloyd wright feeling in the remake of the building. overall, a very nice experience.
Positioned near the business district, but the general area - including the Imperial Palace - are very nice. Well equipped and very modern rooms. The bathroom was enormous with entertaining shower equipment! Public areas are huge and drab in places. But we would certainly return to the Imperial.
This hotel was AWESOME! The service we received can't be spoken about enough. Everyone went out of their way to make sure our stay in Tokyo was problem free. The location is in a prime spot and our room had a great view. Highly recommended!
I have stayed at hotels all over the world butt he Imperial was fantastic. I have never seen such a polite and professional staff. Everything from the moment I got out of the taxi to the moment I boarded the Narita bus was handled with the utmost proficiency and friendliness. Although there are hotels that are more modern and flashier, nothing beats the Imperial. Great location as well.
I was only in Tokyo for two days. I have always wanted to see the City so I stayed as a long lay-over. I have traveled quite a bit and mostly stay at high end hotels. The room was amazing. It was large, clean and the bed was perfect. I think the one thing that stood out was the service. I mostly felt with the front desk manager Tetsuro Nakamura. Everyone at the hotel seemed to really appreciate their job and enjoy helping their guests. Nothing comes to mind
Location, service, pool staff
The room was small even by Japanese standards. Staff was nice. TV only had Japanese channels. Breakfast provided was good. Value for money was not there. My friend stayed at Gracery nearly next door for $100 cheaper and a much bigger room.
location was easy to walk from for transportation around the city attractions no pool
Wifi password always wrong, I could not use wifi.
Location in Ginza The room and bathroom were the smallest room I have been for a very long time. Everything is also industralised and calibrated (to reduce cost), which makes it more like a chicken battry than a hotel room.
Close proximity to subway station and multitude of restaurants and shopping in Ginza. Secure WiFi in every room, free for rewards members. The breakfast buffet was great, with many choices of local and western cuisine. My omelette was cooked to perfection! The beds were a bit firm. The toilets weren't as fancy as other Japanese hotels (not heated).
Great location, wonderful staff, great breakfast. Spacious room for Tokyo
Friendly staff despite the language barrier Now that Tokyo is becoming a touristic area, the staff shoulkd learn the manners of good service.
The location was excellent and the airport bus delivers you directly to the hotel door. Some of the staff were uncaring and had no knowledge of the area.
Only the fact that we had Japan Hato tours that did a pickup from this hotel location and there were a few folks at the information center that were nice and very helpful The room was awful - 1. Shower curtain was dirty and had hair on it from god know how many previous travelers!! I asked the manager to change it and they did not execute it well, they forgot! When I asked again they replaced it but only this time they put the shower curtain inside out...Japanese attitude is supposed to be all clean and perfect and this was definitely not it! 2. We were offered free breakfast due to the shower curtain situation which was a nice gesture, but honestly the breakfast was not so great 3. The room was really really small and the 3rd bed that we got was broken.. We paid like $250 a night or so and this was so not worth anything penny, will not recommend it anyone.
they were a bit inflexible with the check-in time.
This was my first time in Japan, but I heard about the hotels beforehand. The rooms are small because you are in an overpopulated city, so if you manage your expectations it is really very pleasant. The hotel was clean and each floor and your room are secured by access card. Staff was very friendly and accomodating as well. You are a short walk from 2 subway lines, the imperial palace, hibiya park, and Tokyo's version of Times Square. Overall, I enjoyed it and if I go back I will strongly consider staying there again.
The highlights of Daiwa Roynet were definitely the bathroom and breakfast. The buffet wasn't free, but it was worth it. A wide selection of great food, including smoothies! It was an awesome way to kickstart our day. The room was small, but comfortable, excluding the massage chair, which was curved in such a way that my back couldn't fit into it. The bathroom, on the other hand, was by far the best of the six hotels we've stayed in so far this trip.
Everything is ok. Very nice personal, placement is convinient for shopping and city walking. too small rooms.
Compact, well presented business hotel well located in the middle of Ginza. Close to Shimbashi JR station is a good base for business in Tokyo at an affordable price
I changed dates but your website could not reflect new pricing on site. You should have fixed
Great location! Good price
The location is about a 10 -15 minute walk to tokyo station and closer for the Ginza metro or shimbashi if you have a jr pass. Somehow we were put in a smoking room, i think it was an error on agoda that showed up as Small deluxe room was actually smoking deluxe room. When we switched, we were in a Japanese style room which was fantastic and actually felt larger than the western style rooms with everything low and a bit less cluttered feeling. The room felt larger than some of the other business hotels we stayed at. The reception is on the 2nd floor. Everything went well. The bathroom feels a little dated but is perfectly clean and with all the bidet functions etc common with Japanese bathrooms. The breakfasts are a tad expensive at $22 but there are a lot of convenin e s
+ great location -breakfest was not worth the price, in Ginza you can get much better and tastier food for the same price;- you had to pay for whole stay directly at checking in, not polite at all; - no closet in room; -no fresh air in room as windows are locked;
The location was perfect, the staff were very helpfull and the free internet was much appreciated.
The hotel location is very convenient in the heart of the Ginza shopping district. The hotel does have a small modern lobby with free coffee and espresso for the guests. The are rooms are relatively small. Only smoking rooms were availbable upon check in.
For the money you pay, this hotel gets you the best location and the best location and the best location. Everything Ginza can offer is within walking distance from this hotel. Close to all sort of transportations. Very good for business. It's less desirable if you have kids traveling together due to limited some of the hotel room. Famous ramen 一風堂 is right across the street. Small hotel room really makes all the facility become less comfortable when using. So if you have kids, it's going to be a bit challenging. Counter staffs are not all good enough on English. So get back in couple hours if you don't like the staff you encounter.
good location, easy to get the train station and many food store surrounding hotel. lobby hotel very small
In the heart of 'fifth avenue' (Ginza) of Tokyo. Quiet rooms and free internet; daily deliverance of an english paper. Skilled personal and by elvevator entrance to the subway - it all made it a pleasure to stay in this hotel.
Breakfast, location. To small room like for 4 star hotel. Very high price but probably this is a standard for Ginza. Only one TV chanell in English.
Clean hotel with decent size rooms and bar - quiet location but very close to Ginza shopping & restaurant district - good access to multiple metrolines
Helpful staff Small room, Restaurant permanently closed to public..
quietness and location
Staff were very helpful, excellent location in Ginza. Good value for money.
Location, good bed, cleanliness Small room for the price
Perfect location in Ginza. Our non-smoking room was once a smoking room. We could still smell it in the carpet.
