The hotel was clean and comfortable, the breakfasts were very nice and well presented. It was only one train stop away from the main station which made it easy to get around. I think the directions to locate the hotel could be a little clearer, it says that it is between the train station and a restaurant however it is not quite that simple, if they named the restaurant and perhaps said turn left after leaving the station and at the second set of traffic lights you cross with the .... restaurant on your right it would be perfect.
Well-appointed room, very clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast, with option to eat on a pleasant outside deck. Very professional and helpful staff. No air conditioning, potentially a problem in summer. (But room on North side out of the sun was ok, even in a heat wave!)
The room is one apartment with salon and 2 bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom, and the rooms are spacious and clean. The price is expensive and the hotel is so far from center of the city
the hotel is little far from the city center (approx 3 KM)
Excellent breakfast buffet with wide range of cold meat/cheese plus hot bacon and eggs. Great choice of breakfast cereals, bread, fruit etc. and cute patio area to enjoy; highly efficient service, with items topped up regularly. Attractive bar which does snacks (though we didn't use). Staff helpful. They recommended Augustinerbraeu nearby for dinner: great on Bavarian atmosphere, generous portions, good cheap house red, but disappointing Wienerschnitzel! Rooms modern and to a high standard of decor; very comfortable beds. Extremely limited public areas. Car parking charged at 12 EUR per night (not necessarily 24 hours!). Car parking not guaranteed in advance. Room somewhat warm, small shower. Few if any English TV channels.
The hotel is the perfect location for Oktoberfest activities!! Just 2 blocks and you are there! The breakfast included is impressive and delicious! The cost is substantial but you have to pay for such a prime location for Oktoberfest.
breakfast in the sheltered garden
The hotel was in a great location to visit Oktoberfest. It was clean and well-kept. Our room was sparse and the staff we didn't get the room type we asked for.
Friendly staff, quiet hotel but close to downtown, extremely clean room.
Best small hotel I have stayed in. Staff, food, ambience, decor, position, price all excellent. Garden a nice surprise too. Bathrooms were a little small, but not enough to complain about.
If you're going to the Oktoberfest this hotel is as good as it gets!! Can't find anything closer for sure. And great great breakfast!
The central location and having the Ubahn close by. Lack of bar facilities to relax at night, and the breakfast was not to our taste which i realise is a cultural thing.
proximity to festival
Very close to the Oktoberfest Rather expensive for the facilities provided but given it was Oktoberfest that makes sense.
The shabby chic decor throughout the hotel was charming. The complimentary breakfasts were EXCELLENT! Honestly, one of the best breakfast spreads I encountered on my journeys through Germany and Austria this summer. The breakfast room was also very cute and had a small balcony where you could sit outside if you wished to. The location was also convenient and nice. The hotel is near a subway stop and it's across the street from Theresienweise. There were many things about this hotel that made my stay uncomfortable. I would NOT stay here again. First of all, the bathroom to my room was not connected to my room but rather down the hall and required a separate, archaic key that did not always work very well. This bathroom was not well ventilated and smelled moldy. The room description did not indicate that the bathroom would be down the hall and had I known that I would not have stayed in this hotel because that was very unpleasant. Also, the cleaning staff did not clean my room or my bathroom everyday, which was especially annoying because I really needed fresh towels. Also, the hotel in general suffered from a general lack of care and cheapness when it came to certain things. For example, there was NO towel bar to hang any of my towels on even though there was ample wall space to attach one (or two). The soap dispenser that was attached to the wall in my bathroom was empty and a secondary, oversized bottle that did have soap in it was haphazardly placed on the sink. Why not take the time to attach this bottle to the wall and replace the empty bottle? The same goes for the body wash container in the shower. Also, it was extremely hot in Munich when I stayed there and there was no AC (to be expected) or fans in the rooms or the hotel. Also, the entrance to the hotel was in an alleyway, which wasn't the most aesthetically appealing. The WIFI was also so slow that it effectively did not work. This was a major problem for me because I relied on the internet to research things to do during my stay and directions to places. Lastly, the staff in the hotel (in particular the woman who worked at the reception desk) was very unfriendly. I felt like this hotel was WAY overpriced for what it was.
big size room, nice and helpful hotel staff breakfast starts a bit late
Good location, full breakfast Bed was too hard, blanket was insufficient
Very friendly staff, able to answer any question about directions and attractions throughout the city. Went for Oktoberfest and stayed here, it's right across the street. With a short walk or by taking the U-bahn everything in the city is pretty much within 20 minutes. Little pricey, but everything in Munich is during Oktoberfest.
The breakfast room was very appointed and the breakfasts very good. Our room had a broken (exterior) window pane which had obviously been patched up some time previously by sticking something over it with brown packing tape (gaffer tape). We were surprised that the room had been let out in that state. That was a shame as, apart from this, the room would have been a very pleasant one.
Hotel was clean and friendly and perfect for Oktoberfest.
Very helpful staff; excellent breakfast Liquid soap dispenser in bathroom
