This is a five star location with two star rooms. Go out the front door and walk to all the good sites. The rooms were very disappointing. Old, needs updating. Very overpriced for the room
Very gool luxury hotel, with heritage, traditions and royal atmosphere. Excellent food arrangements, bars and restaurants. Comfortable rooms. Friendly service. We arrived to the hotel at 18.00, and it found out thet our room was not yet ready. No wireless internet in rooms was available.
The location is exellent, THE BEST in Munich. Too much people from the Middle East 90%
The hotel staff was very accommodating and helpful - pleasant attitudes . The first room they showed us was unkempt looking (rumpled bed) - it also had a damp odor, The hotel lobby is lovely - however, the hallway rugs are faded and sometimes stained. The rooms are small and need updating (desparately!!!)
The room facilities The lobby is very loud you can't hear anything , and the rooms hallway is very old
Freindly staff, and a nice spa. The LAN internet connection is very bad, and it`s not worth paying for.
the staff were very helpful, location great room is quite small and bland!
Excellent hotel, with perfect location. Extremely helpfull and friendly staff, gourmet food, comfortable rooms. None
Location is perfect but no value for money Location is perfect but no value for money
The staff really made you feel like a VIP guest, and were friendly and efficient.
The location of the hotel was excellent. The room was incredibly small for the cost/five star rating
Excellent front desk staff, concierge services, drinks and atmosphere in the bar, rooms design, prime location No
everything top class: location, service, restaurants, roof bar.. Internet access is not included in the roomrate, unusual for a hotel of this class. No WIFI, only wired access available
The location was superb, the room very quiet
Unbelievable experience, it was the first time that I've seen in a hotel the following, all the staff knew the guest name, a prayer carpet and a compass was prepared in the room(respect to the Muslim guest needs), complements fruit and minibar without alcoholic drinks refilled on a daily basis. The room services food is the best in quality. And laundry service fulfills the guest needs. Never the less the location of the hotel is the best, and it worth every cent. Finally one of the main reasons that will make me to come back to Munich is this hotel.
good and friendly service, central location a big plus
I would like to thank all the staff for the excellent services they have provided to us during our recent stay for the christmas holidays. We were very happy to be there. Rooms were very clean and spacious with excellent decoration. Ideal location in the centre of the old town. We strong recommend this hotel .
Luxury room and good services
excellent concierge service. Reception did utmost to give us a room we were happy with. Excellent breakfast staff. Very poor views (look out onto a multi storey car park) from back of hotel and I had requested a room with view on booking form. Very disappointing to get allocated very small room with car park building darkening the room even more. The gym is too small!!
The location of the hotel and the competent and helpful staff in reception and lobby.
Great location - staff very helpful and curteous.
The location, staff and cleanliness were fantastic. The rooms were actually larger than I expected. Beds were too hard.....but it seems most Euro branded hotels are thus way.
location Suggest to travelers that they do not drive in Munich. We received excellent directions from the hotel and doorman made parking very easy, but Munich is not a city to drive in, even if it is only coming and going. Take public transport.
Location was very convenient to Marien Platz, Hoffbrau Haus and city market. Staff was very courteous and helpful. The only complaint we had was not being able to lower the thermostat setting in our room.
The location was perfect, the breakfast was enough full and staff was very welcome and helpful. We enjoyed our staying there.
Everything was perfect ... literally . every staff member seemed to know my name . The room was outstanding. Big , clean and just the right temperature . No in house movies . Everything else was fantastic
The quiet rooms, central location, and excellent breakfast. Reception was very helpful. Highly recommended.
The staff, breakfast & location
It was a clean room, and the staff was very nice.
Very nice hotel. Absence of the air conditioning made my stay not so comfortable, it was too hot in the room, what is not acceptable for such expensive hotel.
Good hotel, good breakfast
Location in munich, comfortable room, adequate dinning room, good service, friendly staff, reception good, doorway assistance good. People were both friendly and helpfull. Rooms were not heated to usa standards but qit all right vs other hotels of same class in germany.
Very responsive. Not a thing.
Great location, good size room and bathroom. Decent breakfast.
staff very cold towards guests, staff loudly fighting and arguing in front of guests, poor breakfast buffet offer, very high price for the service rendered
The location of the hotel was excellent. We were initally booked in for 2 nights and decided to stay another night. Once we parked our car we did not need it again until we checked out as we were able to walk everywhere. The staff were friendly and our room was clean and comfortable.
The location was excellent! The noice was coming from outside surprisingly clearly.
Central location, excellent breakfast selection, reliable service, old world charm. The front desk staff is distant rather than friendly, but they are efficient and get the job done, which is enough for me.
The location was excellent. The room was very noisy, no tea/coffee facilities, no aircon, very very poor value for money - it was twice the price of the 2 other hotels that were four star that I stayed in, and half as nice!! Not a 4 star hotel if I compare it to others.
The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The hotel is on a small side street within a short walk to the Marienplatz and Munich's famous Glockenspiel. We stayed one Saturday night in November, and while the hotel is located on a small, quiet side street, it shares that street with a bar. Now that the laws in Germany have changed and smoking is no longer allowed in bars and restaurants, people must go out onto the street to smoke. So the quiet street transforms into a loud, crowded extension of the bar from about 11:00 in the evening until 5:00 am the next morning.
My self-catering suite was huge, spotless and wonderfully presented with great furnishings. The little kitchen was very handy and the balcony over the courtyard charming. The hotel's location was fantastic - a short stroll to Marienplatz and the centre of things. Staff at reception were very helpful. It was relatively expensive at €195 a night and breakfast wasn't included in the price of the room.
Everything, beautiful, clean hotel. Great location In room refreshemnts were way overpriced
Location, nice rooms, nice staff no
Food, quiet, central location, helpful staff Room heating on ground floor was barely adequate
nice bar, lovely clean room restaurant was small and we could not get a reservation
The apartment had everything a couple would need in a great location in the old part of town near the Hofbrahaus. We found the staff to be excellent, very friendly and more than willing to help in all cases. We madea mistake with our reservation and thought we were checking out a day later. We arrived back from an excursion in the afternoon of our actual departure and realised we needed to get to Frankfurt airport with 4 hours! Unfortunately we weren't able to make it however all 3 staff tried as best as they could to arrange many details. Thankyou The air-conditioning was lousy and the pillows were large yet soft, otherwise quite fine
Closer to the Marienplatz and ability to cook light meals The celings were too low; I bumped my head a couple of times while getting up from the bed or the sitting area. The hotel did not provide detalied direction on how to go there from ythe metro station; very difficult to find the hotel.
Excellent room, v quiet but with all mod cons and in the centre of town.
location and hotel staff
Very clean and very quiet, excellent shower. Very expensive
Liked the way the bathroom could be visually integrated into the sleeping area (glass wall) by opening the sliding door. Trendy cocktail bar. Super location close to Marienplatz and Viktualienmarkt. Could have done without the strip joint opposite, which leads to late night traffic
The location was excellent. The rooms were very nice and clean. Breakfast was not included in the rate as with other hotels we stayed at.
Staff were very helpful and efficient. Decor and ambience excellent. Comfortable lobby and pleasant outdoor area. Needed more wardrobe and cupboard space for clothes and toiletries. Pillows very hard and uncomfortable.
Staff were very helpful, and friendly. Hotel in a wonderful location for the old part of Munich. Not really a 4* Hotel, room standard a good 3*, breakfast buffet average and overpriced at 37 euros for two.
Nice room and breakfast, the location is just north of Marienplatz. As a suggestion, if you have 3 or more people, it's actually cheaper to get a taxi from Marienplatz than to take the U-bahn unless you have a day pass - only about 6 euros. It'd be nice if the hotel set up a free internet station
It is not so far from city center. Very small rooms with thin walls, so you easily hear every sound from corridor and nearest rooms. Shower is inconvenient and room itself is uncomfortable because of its small size. Well, it is not so bad, but I think these rooms don't match the price.
Spacious room No free wireless internet access in room (hotspot wi-fi is available in room but is not free).
Quality of room, bathroom, room facilities & breakfast; practical location (close to underground station); quiet neighbourhood; friendly & helpful staff absence of coffee-making facility in room
Excellent location, comfortable beds, good showers, extra security with second inner locking door. could use a fresh coat of paint in the hallways for better presentation, walls were a little thin (meaning could hear alot of the activity in the hallway and adjoining rooms) but it was not busy during our stay so it wasn't a problem.
The apartment was arranged for us though we paid for the double room. Also the facilities there were great! The lift and staircase, if I have several big luggages, might have issue to the room.
Firstly the location close to the centre of the city and the english garden (very profitable for runners). The room was comfortable and clean. The price excellent
The rate was very high during Octoberfest
only 10 min to the city center, parking, wifi, standart germany breakfest
The location is 1 stop or 15 minutes from the down town area.It is a very quiet location, nice big rooms and parking. the breakfast was poor so i am pleased to have walked 2 blocks to a cafe for 5 euros and had a coffee & pastry.
Location is very central /wealking distance to all tourist & shopping sites. Breakfast is excellent. No elevator. Pillow is very/too flat.
Perfect central location, spotless room, reliable (free) wireless internet and yummy breakfast included in price. Even with the heating on full blast, the room was unacceptably cold in October. And the noise from the neighbouring nightclub was deafening on Friday night from 2am to dawn.
It was close to the downtown area so we didn't have far to walk. No Air conditioning. A very small hot stuffy room. If you open the window you get a lot of street noise until very late at night. Economy furnishings. They didn't have a fan. Lights in hall were partially disassembled. There is no elevator.
great location close to everything! The staff at the hotel is amazing. Love the bar downstairs. Wish they had an elevator - for travelers like me that don't pack light.
They had THE best bartender I have ever encountered. Thanks Oliver! The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was great. The room was clean and modern, not to mention located perfectly in the heart of downtown. If and when I return to Munich, Hotel Lux is my #1 choice hands down. Thanks to everyone at Hotel Lux for making my stay an unforgettable one! No complaints. Extremely pleased with my stay.
Located halfway between town hall and haufbrahaus. Walked from Mariensplatz to hotel with 2 daughters. Tons of restaurants and shopping within a 5 minute walk. Bar/restaurant was great - loved the breakfasts. Drink menu was very innovative and fresh. Surprising in a very good way. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. Great stay!! Bathroom was very small for 3 people. Shower ok for women/girls but would be challenging for a full size man. No counter space around sink.
the position is perfect for visiting the city the car parking is not inside the hotel, it is quite far away considering that it must walk with the baggages for few minutes
Free internet, clean, good location, easy They could be a bot more flexible with everything aond breakfast. Yes it is Germany and if breakfast stops at 10.00 it stops not one minute late....but a bit of customer service could do ;-)
Bedroom - clean modern cosy
Excellent location with friendly staff
Room is clean and comfortable, though small. Convenient bathroom. Good breakfast. Poor sound isolation from other rooms and corridor. Noisy environment - lots of people on the street at night, not possible to keep window open (price for central location!). Internet connection could be improved. Old TV, did not work.
Very central location, breakfast was quite good as was the coffee. Room quality was just ok. Tiny room. We travelled from Australia around Europe and with the 2 of us and our 2 suitcases we had nowhere to move.
This is the second time I have stayed here. Very good value, located close to downtown, nice breakfast. A very good place to stay in Munich. I love the free wifi.
Walking distance from city center, WiFi, friendly and personal atmosphere Missng fork during the breakfast :-)
