Lack of staff able to iron a shirt at 10pm. No housekeeper services available.
The staff was extremely helpful and they spoke English very well.
location. Right next to the Duomo and the Galleria. the breakfast room was a little pathetic. the chairs cut off the circulation to your lower legs and your feet fall asleep.
very very nice position near Duomo. You can walk to the metro by walking. Hotel stuff are very helpfull and do their job well.
Great location by the Duamo accompanied by helpful and efficient staff behavior
Location, Hotel Bar
Style and comfort, very close to the Doumo I would have liked more cleanliness of the room and bathroom, especially, from the very first day, but this was corrected in next day
central location & room we had was grand and spacious breakfast was so-so but then
it was cold in the room
the staff were excellent - very inviting and welcoming. the room was very modern and clean and the bed was very comfortable. very close to all shopping and restaurants - excellent location.
Clean, comfortable rooms. The staff was helpful and polite. Awesome breakfast spread!
The check in procedure was really quick, they spoke English to us and gave us all the details we needed, then let us get on with our short break.
location, value for money, amazing breakfast
Amazing staff, best food in Fossano is at the hotel's 2 restaurants. Charming hotel with interestsing history. Great central location from which to tour Piemonte region (assuming you have a car).
An extremely highly professionally run hotel, friendly & very informative staff. I required a doctor and the restaurant provided special dietry needs without any fuss.
The location of this hotel, only 5 minutes from the center, close to Duomo and the metro too. The staff were all helpful, the buffet breakfast had a good selection to choose from and was all very nice and fresh.
I liked the room, bathroom, clean bed every day, I liked the breakfast, the vicinity of the Piazza Duomo
Most the location
Location and friendly staff.
Professionalism and helpfulness of staff; excellent breakfast, choice of daily newspapers, etc. There were ashtrays in my "non-smoking" room; the walls and floor were dark.
politeness, and discreet staff
We arrived in Milan in the AM and the hotel allowed us to check in when we got there even though it was well before the check-in time.
Good kitchen, very frendly and helpful staff, good location for shopping and for people wishing to see Milan city centre.
The Location of the hotel is perfect. There is not enough place to park the car. We are the first time in Milano, it is hardly to find the Entrance.
Centrally located, staffing excellent, helpful and charming. Perfectly located for shopping. Bed was excellent.
I do like the location and the service of the hotel and the interior design of the room
Exclusive, effortless luxury right in the centre of Milan. Location is superb! The breakfast was very disappointing for a hotel of this quality. The rolls were dry and the service very slow with coffee arriving 15 minutes after the rest of the continental breakfast.
Checking out The hotel was suffocating. And the outside temperature was only 14. AC barely worked and the staff was unresponsive. Room was tiny for 563 Euro and plain. Wouldnt stay here for free.
The location, stuff and interier is wonderfull!!!! the staff was fairly helpful.
The location is good, but the hotel does not deserve 7 stars - we have stayed in 6 ans 7 star hotels and expected something similar. This one would have to struggle for 4 stars! A disappointment! Bell boy did not help us with luggage until we asked. Receptionist was at the phone with someone else while showing us the room. The room/bathroom has very unpleasant smell, and mould on the wall. Breakfast was expensive (25 eur/pp) but bad. Valet parking too expensive (75 eur/night) but service slow. Room small, lights not working well, overall dark and cold experience. They brought us hot water for tea which smelled of old coffee. Stale biscuits served with the coffee.
Very central and unique location right in the heart of Milan. Attentive and charming staff who were very helpful and courteous. Special thanks to the reception staff, the doormen, and Sabrina.
The courtesy of the staff. Everyone was absolutely fantastic, from the doormen to the guest relations manager Anja. The rooms and the corridors are a bit too dark and the room furnishings a bit too austere.
The staff are very good and helpful The breakfast buffet
The room Food
all mentioned above. location, service, room space (stayed at normal double)/ expensive but it is worth of it. nothing
top area for shooping
The Location - the decor and the friendly staff
Location and excellent personel Considering the hotel price, it is not right that breakfast is not included. The hotel across the strett - Straf offers excellent breakfast for the same price.
the location and the desing the dining room without natural light
Enjoying the nearby to shopping malls, secure area and availibility of surrounding service to travellers Air conditoning at summer season
Corteous staff Aircon broken for 1 day, bedroom small for price
Great location, convenient room with all appliances and comfort, profesional and helpful staff. Painfully expensive breakfast. Not justified by the product supplied.
room was right next ddor to private terrace that was opened up for private functions in the evening- it was very noisy.
location bed uncomfortable, noisy room and poor value
the only good thing is the location. its a 3 star hotel at best.i and my friends will never book this hotel again.
position near central milan
It is in a good location, close to downtown, very comfortable beds and it is very clean. The rooms were too warm, could not be controlled, The streets are very noisy, you cannot really open a window.
The hotel staff never bothers you trying to move suitcases etc. yet they are there in the background if you need them. coming in and out is simple and one always feels comfortable.
Value for money, location, confort...
Great A/C on very hot day. Porter was nice and helpful putting away our luggage when we were too early to check in. Front office staff was rude. When we advised we had a reservation and were checkin in the young woman, instead of asking for our name, said how can I check you in if I don't know who you are. She was similarly rude to the couple in front of us. Maybe she was having a bad day but this is not acceptable for someone in the service industry.
Excellent location, good breakfast, nice helpful staff, pleasant interior. Altogether a very good place that I would go back to. I found the bed a bit soft and the wi-fi was not very good.
The hotel was close enough to walk to most of what we wanted to see. Subway station was close by. Great in-house restaurant for dinner. Our room was nice and clean plus it was quiet. Would stay there again.
very well located -
Location August is a very quiet month in Milan and many things are either closed or running half open. Hotel was fine but starting to show signs of the need for a makeover.
Very clean with exceptional breakfast facility and menu.
The location is excellent, the rooms very generous, the furnishings tasteful, not chintzy nor bling, quite 1950s elegant. The hotel is in a busy square, definitely more business than romantic.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast offer was also excellent. I didn't like the bar area which is located in the reception. As a lone traveller it is sometimes nice to sit and relax somewhere other than your room, somewhere in public with other people around which is comfortable and safe but I had no desire to use this hotel's bar as its effectively in the hallway.
The location together with the view of the Duomo is, certainly, a big advantage! Also I'd point out a markable originality and cosyness of the rooms. Unfortunately, the level of service didn't meet our requirements. Thus, we waited for the in-room breakfast (consisting of omelet!!!) for an hour, giving constant calls to the room service and were almost late for the train after it. The change of the room also took quite a lot, something about an hour as well. All in all, they don't hurry to make guests' stay comfortable.
Excellent design, in room amenities and overall feeling, excellent location, but may get stuck in traffic to get close, so be prepared to walk "last mile" if you want to get there quicker, new and trendy Poor breakfast (charged extra 35Eur pp, without info that it is not included in price, not a value for money), little additional suggestion was offered - just menu handed, poor English of some staff (I guess they were not yet comfortable with their skills as hotel just opened), although express checkout was ordered in the evening, next morning had to wait for checkout, not yet many guests so hotel felt deserted
The room style and location Only the time of checkin and checkout
pool, restorant problems with staff
Location and staff was very friendly
Comfort, size of rooms, design, location and service Insufficient shelfing for putting toiletries & clothes in the shower area
te spa relax its very good, wen zou are tired of all dhe shooping in milani dhe spa relax is the beter thing in this moment. the staf it was a litele slowli
Location was perfect. Rooms very nicely done up. Got a great rate as it was pretty much @ the eleventh hour.
The location of the Hotel Boscolo is perfect, nice designer Hotel The bathroom is much to small, the superiour room even doesn't have a bath, and the nice shower doesn't have much pressure on the water. The closets are very tiny and they are located in the small bathroom. The staff wasn't so friendly. The reception is just a table, so not client friendly. The seperate toilet is very noisy.
The hotel is realy unconventional and creative in case of design. Services are not coresponding to five star hotel. The pool, which is one of the main atractivness is closing too early (8pm). We changed the room because of broken leg of the bed and broken shower. In the another room was noisy a electric equipment whole night. There was 15minutes waiting for a breakfest table. The breakfest choice was limited less than usual three stars hotel, despite the cost of breakfest was 35E per person. Very far from to be satisfied...
Please write at least 15 words Room service. Very unorganized
Fantastic location. Small rooms and some grumpy staff, facilities somewhat worn.
Concierge not knowledgeable about city.
location only. to snoby service, not friendly: not comfortable bed, very itchy blankets:room service who sneaks to my room and turns air-conditioner off-sign do not disturb was posted at the door.
The hotel was very central and fairly quiet. The staff were helpful and friendly. We had the most apalling smell in the bathroom, which the manager said was atmospheric pressure!!!!. They did move us, but I think it was a problem in the hotel. The room was smaller than I would have expected from the web-site photos. The swimming pool was pond-like.The breakfast was not as good as other hotels that I have stayed in, in the same class.
Excelent location, near Duomo and various shops and restaurants. Room a bit small
It is very well located, at 100 meters from Duomo and 200 m from the Galleria V.E. Mattress was not in its best shape. It had two depressions that made the night difficult for a person with back pain. If it's your case, inspect the room before check-in.
Location The walls of the rooms are draped with tissue which fills up with bacteria.Toilets were a little old. Some of the staff is grumpy
Location Room was very small. Requested larger room but none available.
excellent staff, prime location
location & comfort would not use it at rack rate. front office staff not so good
the location, the coziness, the staff, the bar the elevator
I picked Hotel Straff for the design and location and luxuriousness and I was not dissapointed!! I read about all the bad reviews of the breakfast and they are not true!!! The breakfast is delicious and has great coffee, great bread, great muesli and soy milk!!!!!
The staff was very kind! The room was not cleaned very well
very good breakfast some of lights and room keys were not working
Very good location. I booked a room at Hotel Straf (Via San Raffaele 3, Centro Storico, Milano , 20121, Italy). I paid online via booking.com on October 18 2010 the total price of 1089 eur. When I returned home I noticed four (!) payments to the above hotel: - 1089 EUR paid on November 4
Nice, very helpfu and friendly staff. Cool design of rooms. Everything vwas in order. Small room, hard bed.
friendly staff ,good location very convenience no water boiler(no hot water to drink)its not convenience for family with small children.
Right next to Duomo. Prefect location. Modern and minimalist interiors. 1- The room heating system is quite poor. The floors are concrete and cold. In order to increase the room temperature, you should incerase the fan speed which is unconfortably noisy. An underfloor heating system should be a perfect altrnative. 2- Breakfast room is not comfortable.
Ver y good service, great little bar, excellent location.
Unique hotel! Room was quiet. Breakfast was efficent. Staff was very helpful! I prefer a bathtub to a shower, but rooms with bathtubs are on the street side which is noisy.
The room was big and clean and we got a free upgrade (due to our room not being ready) Our room wasn't ready at 2pm checkin and we had to wait 45 mins in the lobby.
the hotel staff and the location the ac was very hot
Small smart hotel, one step from Duomo. Excellent staff.
The hotel staff did their best. We got very nice room with balcony. We like especially the breakfast- fresh juice, fruit...Room was very clean and nice smelling. Very big nice bathroom. Hotel is 1 min from Duomo and there is very good pizzeria in front of the hotel. We would definitly stay again. Internet was not free
the location and the cleanliness of my room
The staff was very friendly and the room surpassed our expectations. Both my grandchild and I enjoyed our stay at your hotel very much and would be happy to revisit.
Everything with this hotel was perfect. The location was 1 minute away from the Duomo. The hotel is very new and nicely designed. We luckily also got upgraded to a Suite Room.
The hotel is located very close to the Duomo Di Milano which also means lots of public transportation offices. The staff was very nice and never missed an opportunity to please and accommodate. The hotel does not have a sit-down restaurant but does offer room service which was always good. Rooms were clean and relatively luxurious to other hotels. Only hotel in Italy that I stayed that had a full size bed instead of two smaller ones pushed together. Wifi needs work, it was slow and my devices often dropped the connection completely. It is included with the room and offers unlimited access, but left much to be desired. There were a couple bad lightbulbs in my room but the room had so many other lights I hardly noticed.
With virtually no lobby amenities, the hotel has the feeling of your very own residence in Milano. Clean, modern and spacious rooms, very big bathrooms for a European hotel with enclosed showers and your very own concierge staff. And, all this in an unbelievable location.
Located in the center of Milano. We love everything since the first minutes we arrived the hotel. Friendly staff, Nice hotel, Comfortable room. Don't go by car, very difficult to park and loading laggages
The room was well furnished with simple good taste. It was spacious and gave a feeling of tranquility even if it was on a main/busy street. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bathroom was very cold (very large with huge windows). Though we were given a small heater for it, it was not an ideal/ comfortable situation.
the location could not have been better, we could walk everywhere we wanted to visit. our roomwas at the back of the hotel so no view but for a city centre location was very quiet and the shower was state of the art. the staff were very helpful. as all hotels in city centres in italy it was v.expensive
location, friendly staff, luxury, free non achoholic minibar
Small, modern, beautifully appointed hotel with location to die for. Friendly, helpful staff make you feel at home from the moment you walk in. We stayed four nights and it was worth every penny.
The staff are extremely friendly, breakfast was lovely. Just missed having tea and coffee facilities in the room, but not an issue as the staff always went out of their way to accommodate this.
Staff and location.
Great location, just a street away form the Duomo Square and within walking distance from metro station to take you everywhere around Milan.Very polite and helpful staff, good breakfast, very comfortable bed.
Everything. We have been travelling Europe 6 months of the year for the last 5 years and this is the best hotel by far. Front desk went beyond expectation in assisting in every area, restaurants, shops, directions etc Breakfast staff and housekeeping also fantastic. Location perfect. room spacious and great outlook. Nothing
The best location. Free Internet. Good noise insulation.
The personel and the service was great, location couldn't be better as it is located one block away from Duomo. The room was very modern and very well designed
