a clean and well decorated hotel, excellent breakfast, friendly helpful staff, easy walking distance of local shops and facilitys. no kettle or hot drink making equipment in room.
The service was exceptional, with friendly staff and amazing breakfast. The location was superb, although a bit of a hike from the train station. Unexpected surprise to get free bus passes while a guest there. Sauna facility was wonderful Hotel room lighting was non-existent - very, very dark.
Physically this is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are designed well and the ceiling woodwork is divine. The facilities are good and the location is amazing. We particularly enjoyed the restaurant/bar and the gentleman who served there. We were surprised that the used towels were not changed when the room was cleaned. Two of the front desk staff were inexperienced. When checking out the desk clerk was unable to figure out how to process the credit card. After 10 minutes we ended up having to pay cash as we were going to miss our train.
The setting, view a real culture experience The bed was a little hard
The room was very nice. The lack of a pool and hot tub was a bit disappointing. And the breakfast, although a very good selection of food, was occasionally too cold.
The breakfast buffet provided was adequate. Fresh fruit, cheeses, eggs and meats were provided. The pillows provided on the bed were extremely uncomfortable, providing no support whatsoever. The free parking provided by the hotel was in a very small area and I could not get parking there the first night.
The deluxe double was very spacious with a wonderful view of the mountains. The bathroom was brand new and quite large for a European bathroom. Also, the breakfast was very, very good.
We were met at the reception by persons with excellent knowledge, service-mind and a good sense of humor. The room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very delcious and with a wide selection. No, everythibg was to our great satisfaction.
Loved the old stleofyheinn.
Great value. Excellent accommodations for the price and the breakfast was wonderful. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend to others.
Breakfast was amazing, the hotel was very clean. There was not very good lighting in my room. All of the lights worked, but were not bright. The toilet would not flush because it was not receiving water, the bathtub did not have a plug so we could not take a bath. The sauna was also out of order.
The Location - halfway between Partenkirchen and Garmisch. The Sauna and Pool area was good too. The smoking - although hard to avoid in Germany!
1. Hotel staff are very friendly 2. Restaurant food is good 3. Room with living zone is comfortable and hotel building itself shows long-established atmosphere. 1. Inside of hotel is comlicated to go to your room, restraunt and garage etc. 2. One of waiter at restaurant is arrogant 3. Breakfast is so so.
Very professional and friendly staff. Great location.
Everything! The service was wonderful, the staff couldn't be more professional, the sauna and steam facilities were lovely and the room was huge, very comfortable with a great bathroom. I'd definitely stay here again!
Very good place to stay
Everything! Staff, restaurant, whirlpool, swimming pool were ALL wonderful! The view they gave us was great, too! Maybe have the sauna open all day and the swimming pool could have been a little warmer.
Nice hotel, a bit overpriced for the room. 5 star hotel that felt the same as many 3 star hotels we stayed at in Germany.
I loved the atmosphere and the professionalism of the staff! The room overlooked the main boulevard and we could hear the noise of the traffic
The staff was helpful welcoming and the facilities were amazing. The hiking was great and could walk everywhere! nothing
Welcoming, comfortable and spotless.
A very comfortable, peaceful hotel with good facilities and excellent restaurant. People smoking in the restaurant.
Very accomodating staff. Entire busload of wild teenies invaded hotel at 5 PM. Staff moved us to a quieter quarter. By the time we came back from dinner, all had been tamped down and was very quiet. Nice spot with a great view of the mountains. Lots of parking available.
Breakfast buffet is good. Location is excellent.
Convenient location and they accept dogs
There was a swimming pool, sauna and steam room. The location to the main dining and shopping areas was in walking distance. The front desk girls didn't speak too good English. They also need to have a better supply of power converters.
Very good hotel with big rooms. Breakfast is enormous including local food, fish, fresh juice etc.
The hotel is well placed on the outside of the town, pride is taken by the staff in the appearance of the hotel. Breakfast was excellent. Reception slightly dark and could do with a refurb and smelled of smoke - rooms however were fine
We arrived at this hotel in the middle of an October blizzard and heavy snow so it was a sight for sore eyes. Room was typical for a chain hotel - in a good way! It was clean, well laid out, perfectly equipped and a great modern bathroom (though small!). We used the pool - I think they said it was 28.5 degrees, so yes, cold, but typical. We ate in the restaurant and it was great regional food, very well priced. We also had drinks and snacks in the bar - again, very pleased. Fabulous breakfast. Becasue of the snow, we didn't even venture out so I can't comment on how well-placed the hotel is, but in terms of value for money (our room cost under £70!!), it is one of the best I have stayed in. No complaints!
Sauna availability and location near to city centre and ski facilities. One time the food (dinner) was not good: part of the meat was greenish and did not taste well.
I have been staying there for about five years when I visit Bavaria from the USA Herr Falk Bartels, Asst Mgt, has been very helpful. Frau Jenny Huber (front desk )was exceptionaly helpful. Most of the dinning room staff and the chef were very plesant and helpful I was told thery could not turn Steam and Sanua on untill three PM by three of the front desk staff when I wanted to use it in the morning. Most of the front desk and office staff are caustic, unpleasant and unhelpful. You need coffee makers in the rooms.
I enjoyed your breakfaxt buffet
The room was very small and the wifi signal very poor. Parking was great. The morning breakfast was fantastic. The whole thing is run as a home. The twin room was small and long. The beds were placed in a line not alongside as normally.
The location is great and the staff is very very nice. Oh, and the breakfast is really good too.
The personal touch added by the owner that made us feel at home, like a guest of her house
the friendlyness of the staff and the gemutlichkeit
Great location, food, and staff. Would like a room with a balconey next time but would stay again. no
The food was outstanding.
very good location; free parking; nice local restaurant with live music and good food wi-fi is not working; room was much lower standard as advertised; no info during booking that room was not in hotel but in guesthouse;
We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and our hostess at breakfast and our clean rooms and the food.
The restaurant was fantastic. Great food, dancing, music, ambience, etc.
Hospitality at its best! Rooms are cleaned everyday. Their restaurant is one of the best in GAP (Garmisch-Partenkirchen). The hotel is right in town of Partenkirchen, it's so easy to get around. For those who would like to shop, it's about 20-30minutes walk to the Marienplatz, the Fußgangerzone of the town, at the Garmisch side. Not a bad walk because there are stores/bars/restaurants on the way. My husband and I will be sure to stay here the next time we visit our friends again... next month, perhaps? It's too close to the church, which we don't mind, but the bell tolled at 05:30 on a Sunday. It was pretty tough for us that morning, after a night of party-ing :-)
Very friendly and helpful staff, owner involved, plentiful breakfast and beautiful traditional ambience Everything was good
Lovely shower, good reading light over bed, good location, best breakfast ever, nice to have a refrigerator
We found the hotel to be all that we expected and needed for our stay. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. Amenities such as free onsite parking and a free internet connection were very welcome.
We liked the veiw of the mountains that we had from the room and the freindly staff. The breakfast was very good. no
We loved the traditional Bavarian atmosphere, facility, and restaurant. The room was spacious and beds were comfortable. We especially liked having a balcony for relaxation and enjoying the view. The restaurant was excellent. We ate there the evening we arrived, and returned for dinners each night. The breakfast buffet was the best of all the hotels we stayed at this trip. The staff were very friendly and helpful too. The location in Partenkirchen is convenient and a nice walk for shopping in both Garmisch and Partenkirchen. We highly recommend this hotel. It was a bit noisy on the street side in the a.m., but the advantages of this hotel outweigh any inconvenience.
Clean, great food, good clean rooms, and good staff. Great atmosphere.Great location to see Cow drives in the morning and evening in the street. Entertainment and Music a couple days a week local traditional.
Location and community are good. Cleaning staff were not careful with personal belongings.
The Juniour Suite of 40 m² was very nice. The meals are typically bavarian - and good.
Great location. Ecellent breakfast and very comfortable room Outstanding views. The only drawback was the young lady that checked us in and out. Not friendly at all. Gave a very negative first impression of the hotel. She is not what you want meeting a guest excited about arriving for a vacation. Not a smile or an acknowledgement upon the check in. Other than that the hotel was great. The lady that was there for breakfast was outstanding. Met every need.
Beautiful location and wonderful facility!
The Hotel is very good and well situated. The family who runs the hotel is very efficient and professional. The rooms are big and modern with all facilities of the hotel of 5 stars. We enjoyed ourselves for the time in the hotel. Everything was fine.
Large room in a good location in Partenkirchen; attractive street and hotel. Very poor customer service - charged an extra $10 for using a Visa card after staying for 2 nights and eating 2 dinners in the hotel. Brought a salad after we were finished eating (ie very late) and refused to remove the charge from the bill. greedy management and not very friendly attitude toward guests.
Convenient location, good food and drinks at the restaurant, clean and comfortable. Great views. The flights of stairs can be tough with luggage but once you're settled in its not a big deal.
Staff gave us a room options to choose from, and the were very friendly. Loved the view from the balcony of our room. Staff was not accurate on train schedules to Zugspitze and how best to get there.
This hotel is in the city center, opposite the church. The location is nice .The room for 5-6 people was very clean and comfortable. I recommend this.
The staff was fantastic! Great experience! Quaint and relaxing! Clean! It was not "tourist-y" at all, it was authentic and welcoming! Loved the dining experience! Loved our stay!!!
The staff was all very helpful and courteous and most of them spoke English Our room was on the top floor of the hotel and with the way that it was built we did not have a stand-up shower in the bathroom
The hotel is right in the heart of the old town, in a lovely buiding that is centuries old. The breakfast chef was very attentive and cooked us delicious fried eggs. Our room was very big and really felt like home.
The location and size of the room The beds were not comfortable
Location was excellent. Plenty of space for our family of 5. We were offered choice between two rooms on arrival. Heat went out but was quickly fixed. Good restaurant in hotel. Staff were mostly friendly and helpful. Parking is in a public, underground garage close to the hotel- 5 euro per day. The 12 Euro charge for credit card payment was not advertised. Would not take VAT form. Staff was very friendly until morning of our departure. An hour and a half prior to check out, we went to move our car from the public garage to the front of the hotel to load our luggage and children when one of the previously friendly employees stopped us and accused us of trying to leave without paying the bill. We explained what we were doing, she apologized but said we should have told her what we were doing. Kind of a bizarre and disappointing ending.
The room was clean and comfortable with a nice deck. We had an extra bedroom (not needed since I was traveling with my 20 y/o daughter) with 2 bunk beds that would've been perfect for a family. Breakfast was good--typical German style. We had to spend the first night in a different hotel because, although they booked us for the 2 nights, they did not have room. (The first hotel was much better). The hosts do not speak English (wife speaks a few words only), so trying to figure out what was going on was difficult. The door is locked and you have to ring a bell when you arrive. After hours everything is dark. When we came in the second evening (around 8PM so I'm not talking about showing up at 2AM), we had to try to find the key to the front door in the dark and then find our way up the stairs in the dark. Although it says "apartment" there is nothing to make even tea or coffee, much less anything else.
The owner couple was absolutely great. They gave a lot of instructions what to see, how to get there and so on. Hotel facilities are great, also location. Breakfast buffet is good.
We had a wonderful stay at Pension Mirabell!! I would highly recommend it! And if we ever are back in that area we would stay there again. No, everything was perfect!
The owners were really sweet and wonderful and made every attempt to make us feel welcome.
Breakfast was delicious, hotel staff was friendly, it was within walking distance from city/conference center, we had an apartment with 2 rooms so me and my colleague could have completely separate schedules if we wanted, we got a cool good-bye present Wireless internet was not working (at least in our room) and we almost got charged for it, it was somewhat difficult to communicate with hotel staff because they knew little English, but that was part of the charm (unless you are in a hurry)
