The hotel itself is very special and very beautiful. It is a completely unique property, one that is a welcome break from all the chains. Both the food and the service at the restaurants were outstanding. Though nearly everything at the hotel was 4-5 star, the room itself was about a 3 star. It was bland and the quality of the bed, furnishings, towels, decor, etc. seemed cheap.
champagne sunday brunch nothing
Our daughter's fairy tale wedding reception was held here two years ago. My husband and I promised ourselves that we would return for our own romantic stay. We were not disappointed and loved every minute - the luxury, pampering, beautiful grounds, wonderful food. A dream come true!
The rich history of the hotel. No coffee maker in the room.
The structure itself architecuturally is a delight. The service upon arrival was first class and it was a joy to navigate it's various facilities.
The staff were great --- the food in most of the venues (except for the pool area) was outstanding. Very enjoyable We have previously always stayed in Miami Beach. The Biltmore is a bit out of the way in Coral Gables. I would recommend it to those with a car, but not so much to those who don't have this option as it is expensive to get around by cabs. The Biltmore does offer a car service for within Coral Gables, but it was often not available. Also, the difference between a regular hotel room and the Junior or Executive suite in my estimation is not worth the extra amount. It would only be worth it if you upgraded to a full suite.
The hotel itself and its quiet and green surroundings. Pool is excellent. The awful and inadequate service at The Fontana Restaurant in the hotel
The Biltmore is a wonderful hotel with plenty of amenities and lovely food and service. I was welcomed with a glass of champagne - how wonderful is that?
We love the history, the architecture and the location. We looked forward to this our entire lives! The overall experience was not good. There were no good options for casual dining. Just poolside, with a very limited menu and LOTS of cigar smoke OR the golf club, totally undesirable very man club-ish. We ended up ordering a very pricey pizza and very mediocre Caesar salad in the room. Forget a glass of wine for room service, it was $19.There was grime in the shower exhaust fan and mold on the ceiling shower. ewwww! Some of the property was in disrepair.
This is probably the most beautiful hotel I've ever stayed in, with European elegance at a reasonable price. We had a delicious meal at the "Fontana" restaurant, and the hotel staff was generally excellent. It is the architectural centerpiece of the Coral Gables neighborhood, and within a short drive of "Miracle Mile" shopping. Oh, and self-parking is free! The room was a bit small, but the view was worth it!
Gracious, pleasant, relaxing -- just what I needed after a very busy summer. . I would have liked a simpler, less complicated breakfast.
Love the ambiance and staff service. Great place to stay. Not being able to eat breakfast at cascade during the week. Cascade menu should have more choices.
Closeness to airport and Coral Gables. Pleasant common areas and spacious rooms, all at a very reasonable price. Nice view on the backside (= poolside) of the hotel. Huge private parking lot, at 8usd/day.Helpful and friendly staff. None, other than that rooms may now be about due for refreshing, but not in a way to really complain about
Friendlyness of the staff good service
Nothing The staff was rude from the moment I walked in the door until the moment we left. They made jokes at my expense because it took me forever to get up the stairs since I'm pregnant. I booked two rooms but they didn't one of them available at 6pm (3 hours after check-in time). After sorting that mess out, we got stuck in the elevator which terrified my daughter. To make it worse the staff was giggling as we called for assistance. Upon entering one of the rooms, there was a large brown wet stain in the center of the room. When we called to complain the front desk said that we should be happy that they upgraded us to $600 a night room since our other room wasn't ready. We just asked them to clean it but they said most of housekeeping had left so it would be awhile. Even the staff at the coffee shop was rude in the morning when we asked how long it would take to order anything but black coffee because of the rest of the menu wasn't ready two hours after their opening time. Overall it was a terrible experience. The hotel is rundown but its the staff that made sure that I would never use this hotel again
Atmosphere Not alot of pillows per bed mattress not firm enough
The category of the Hotel and all the sataff.
Friendly helpful staff. Delicious food in restaurant and bar. Lovely pool area.
The staff was above and beyond wonderful!! Very nice, clean accommodations, and beautiful pool. Great location! Overall a lovely hotel. Only downside is the only place to purchase water or soft drink was the bar. They charged us $4.00 for a small aluminum can of Sprite.
Good service and nice staff.
Proximity to airport and shuttle. Friendlyness of staff.
Able to take our pet with us and being a few minutes away from the miami International Airport. Personnel is great and services are good. Great customer services... None
Availability of gym with 24 hour access; shuttle service to the airport no standard provision of coffee makers in rooms
The front dresk service was great! The phone lines sounds awful !
The hotel was convenient for the airport and the room and beds were very comfortable. The late evening snack we had was very nice but expensive for what it was. The breakfast was also expensive.
The walk around the jogging track was immense and coupled with the water feature of the Blue Lagoon made our holiday all the better. The grounds of the hotel I found very private. No complaints
I enjoyed the stay although short. I did not stay long enough to determine.
My stay Not long enough stay
We loved the blackout shades on the windows which allowed us to sleep in from the late night flight.
While the hotel is older it was built right and they have done a fantastic job maintaining it. The rooms were so clean and comfortable, it was an absolute pleasure. As it is close to a large international airport, you may at times find yourself bumping into people that aren't used to our culture, like politely standing in line, or not blocking the main entrance with your entire group and all their luggage.
Spacious room, good pool and public areas, a place to slow down and relax. Close to highway and downtown (must have car). Hotel will rip you. They leave some water bottles on the room and charge almost 4$ for each, problem is that I found the Price on a tag with some green sayings on the las day and a lot of bottles later. Charge 54$ for a 1 minute int. Call? Cmon! The price for the room itself is good but I felt stolen.
Roomy. Clean The hotel nickel and dimes you for everything. No complimentary breakfast. No complimentary fridge. View was of a roof. Horrible view
Location, Location, Location! Really close to all the malls!
Clean comfortable beds, Great views, nice bathroom Was missing small items from room after first night room attendants cleaned room. Last morning before checkout staff barged into room. The hotel and facilities were great but houskeeping staff could be better.
The beds were comfortable and the hotel was clean. However, certain things like our acid reflux meds were missing or either thrown away, which was very odd. Also, when we were getting ready to leave around 8 AM the maid services were already barging in to clean the room, which kind of caught us off guard.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. The shuttle to the port was convenient. Later(12) check out. The shuttle to the airport didn't match our time frame.
The hotel was renovated, so the facilities were very good, the room was nice. However: -the service is terrible. -the keys keep losing their connection, and we had to go back to the desk even twice a day to recharge them (or whatever they do) -you can hear absolutely everything going on in the next room and some nights it went on ALL NIGHT. horrible. And it was due to the fact that the only thing dividing the rooms are doors that do not seal. - the breakfast ends at 9 (at 9! for people on vacation) and they never told us that during check in. they actually did not give us ANY information, and there is nothing in the rooms to see the services they have or to have information about the hotel, which is very strange, as all hotels do. So good facilities is not enough.
The localization was very good, and there is a parking connected into the hotel the desk reception man, was very rude and impolite with me and all group and the breakfast just don`t exist.
the price, and the situation on US 1 Highway. The humidity in rooms, the price of parking (8$ by night), the breakfast very poor and bad free before 9am, very expansive after 9am !
This was one of the worst hotels I ever stayed in. The service was terrible, the room smelled like mold and there was a leak in the ceiling. We complained about the leak and it never got fixed. Our door was left open after housekeeping "cleaned" the room. The sheets were not changed everyday; it was hard to get fresh towels and housekeeping only spoke spanish.
Really cold rooms. Staff were nice. Right next to the Metrorail and Sunset mall. Bedding wouldn't stay on. There were stains on the walls. Internet is extremely slow.
Was in an OK location, understaffed/ poorly adept receptionist who was unable to deal with running the front desk. Hotel was run down - but rooms were fairly clean. Bathrooms very summy but OK. Pool looked quite nice. breakfast not worth it but I suppose it's a selling point. Was cheap, so what else do you expect these days!! the basic structure was very poorly kept - ie the walls, stairs etc were in a bad state and desperately in need of paint & a clean up. Would only recommend if you are on a tight budget and dont want to spend any time in the room - if it is a base to dump your belongings and get out of the room!!!
Hotel staff asked us to wait for 20 mins for the other person to come for the shift and check in. Rooms are worst with cockroach in the bathrooms and bad smell in the room. Breakfast time is 7 to 9 but you will get nothing if you go at 8:15.
Staff was great Curtain was too short in the shower
Hotel was ideal for a 1 night stay before a cruise. The hotel provides free transportation from the airport and to the cruise terminal the next day. Just be aware that they only have 1 van and since the cruise shuttles happen between 12 noon and 2:00 if you arrive at the airport you will have to wait till about 2:00 to get picked up. Hotel is old and shabby. Couldn't control air conditioning and room was too cold. If you turned off air, water dripped from the ceiling making a large puddle on the floor. Was tolerable for 1 night and the transportation made up for the place. Safe area with shopping mall and many restaurants within walking distance.
The person well checked me in was very nice. Other than her all the staff that I encountered was unfriendly and some even rude. The breakfast is toast and waffles with butter Rude staff, specifically the breakfast staff who are super rude.
on time morning airport shuttle no shuttle pick up after 9pm from airport, no batteries in tv remote and none at front desk, dirty shower, no good aircon temp control
Food was okay, the pool was fine but had too mich clorox They did not specify the check out time and they charged me additional 50$ to check out when I had already paid through expedia 140$ the night. The front desk lady had told me that no additional cost were going to be made, but when I got to my final destination I saw my credit card being charged 50$
Location was perfect. Rooms looked dated, renovations in the Lobby
The hotel was nice and staff was very friendly. There are lots of restaurants and shops within a 5 minute walk. I would definitely stay here again. Parking was very expensive. We opted for the valet vs. the self park as there was only a small difference. Valet service was lovely. No complimentary beach towels at the pool.
Old hotel, musty smell throughtout
Located walking distance from great restaurants and shopping. Clean, comfortable rooms with a great 5th floor pool!
I had a King bed room for one night, and the room was spotless, with a clean and well equipped bathroom, as well as a very comfortable bed. The size of the room was perfect. The hotel is extremely well maintained, in despite of not being a new structure. The location is ideal, not too far from the airport. For the rate I paid, and the quality of treatment I received, I find it a bargain. I will make the Hyatt my place to stay when visiting Miami for a couple of nights, instead of staying near the airport. The best of the hotel, however, is the staff: courteous, amicable, sincerely willing to assist you in any problem. That makes the difference quite often.
Parking attendants and Front Desk staff are the best
Great atmosphere and amenities. The pool was amazing as was the food. The staff was friendly and helpful. The cell phone service was pretty awful. Other than that, nothing!
I felt like the whole staff were young kids with no experience in customer satisfaction. While i was there for a wedding they lost several peoples luggage. Literally 2 hrs before the wedding started people didn't have their dresses or suits. The bridesmaid left her diamond necklace with in 20 minutes of check out she went back to get it, it was GONE! She begged the front desk to figure out who cleaned the room to get it back, she did get it back. I was woken up several times from people walking around on the floor above me and outside my hotel room. My husband slipped in the shower (which the set up is retarded) hurt his back, there is no traction and the tub is very slippery. Was not worth the money at all!!!! However, I do have to say the outside of the hotel is very beautiful but starting to look run down and not properly managed.
Location, People were great, Hotel was fun and nice architecture. It was easy to walk to a variety of places. WI FI was not functional, there were no vents in the bathroom, and the room had an old smell to it.
Loved the rooftop pool and bar with an outdoor fireplace, very relaxing. The restaurant in the hotel had a wonderful breakfast buffet and delicious food. The bathrooms were nicely done with marble and granite. The Asian inspired design makes you feel like you are somewhere overseas. I would stay here again. My son goes to the University of Miami and it was convenient to the campus and Coconut Grove was an affordable area with good restaurants and some shopping. Rooms were not ready by check in time. We even arrived early and were told to put our name on a list. When we returned later at the posted check- in time, there was a long line of people waiting for rooms. The average wait was 30 minutes to over an hour for rooms to be available on a Tuesday in the off season.
LOVED the cleanliness and space of the room. Loved the japanese soaking tub. Very quiet room, even though it is located in a heavily trafficked area.
The hotel rooms, decorations, amenities, and staff were excellent. The hotel needs major renovations; phone lines, lights, and wall structure are in need of repair.
The self parking across from hotel is WAY cheaper regardless of what they tell you! This was really easy. Convenient location - walking distance to TONS of restaurants and shopping The staff were very friendly. Super cool decor and atmosphere, water, plants, courtyard, tiles, wood doors, windy hallways I wouldn't want to pay the hotel's price of nearly $300 per night There was construction across the way during the days which was not conducive for midday napping! There was only 1 shade umbrella at the pool - all other shaded areas required rental fee. The valet was slow and a bit rude and may have dented car - but the front desk was VERY interested in resolving issue without hesitation so this may not be a norm. (not worth $$ though, just self-park)
Comfortable room. Low class people screaming in the hallway at all hours of the night. Staff was supposed to contact me when our room was available and never received a call. An hour after check in time went to see the status of the room and it had been ready all along. Never going back.
The attention of the front desk staff and the restaurant. Room was very dirty, had to use shoes all the time, otherwise feet would get dirty immediately. Shower tub dirty also, and shower faucet about 1/2 inches away from the wall, which , I believe , from some previous repair that had to be done regards to plumbing, and was poorly fixed. showing a hole in between. Mildew thru out the bathtub surroundings, which proves that no proper cleaning was been done. Not for one day that we were there did the cleaning staff leave enough towels for the 4 quests. We had always to walk around the floor to find someone that was cleaning another room and ask for more towels. Closet doors extremely heavy to move. Mattress of the bed close to the wall, sinks to the middle as soon as you lay down. Not at all what I expected from a Hotel that use to be one of the finest in the area. Overnight parking fee very high. In my opinion, all that is due to bad management and it can bring the place down very fast. I would not recommend your hotel to anyone that asked my opinion.
location was convenient. mostly the moist, moldy smell in the air. but the hotel is also a bit eerie and weird. seems like a 1970s drug inspired design. It is in bad need of renovation.
location, ambience breakfast! please offer something better!
Restaurant staff and new General Manager very helpful and made stay enjoyable complimentary breakfast process not user friendly
The location since Coral Gables is central to move arouund Miami. I found the room very crouded and old. The building looks nice from the outside, but the rooms need to be updated.
I loved the antiques and the ambiance of this hotel. It was gorgeous and I will be staying there again.
It is beautifully restored - like stepping back into the 1920s Staff seemed glum, as though the place is about to go out of business
Convenient location to Quaker Meeting House where I was attending a ProNica.org Board Meeting. Very nice hotel within walking distance of many restaurants. Wished they would have had gluten-free pastries with morning delivered-to-room service.
What a lovely hotel!!!. Old fashion furniture, the elevator which required an operator, the feeling of staying in a hotel of the 1920, and everything at 300 m from Miracle Mile in Coral Gables. You have to get the breakfast in the room, and we would like to have it in the restaurant, that it is close in the mornings.
Staff very nice and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.
comfortable bed, clean room
We usually stay in 4 star hotels and chose Holiday Inn due to its proximity to UM. This was one of the best stays we have had at any hotel. The staff is very friendly and professional. The room was very clean (this is the first time I left a generous tip as I usually expect a clean room), as well as everything else in it and the rest of the hotel. The breakfast was casual, the waiters friendly and the food was very good. We enjoyed our stay immensely. The air conditioner was a bit noisy
Clean rooms. Friendly staff. No balconys.
Rooms were large, with comfortable bedding, and ample closet, but bathroom could use a bit more space. For the location just a couple of blocks from Alhambra Circle and Coral Way, and easily accessible to MIA, the rates are a great value. Found and killed a tiny cockroach as soon as we walked in the room. Common in Miami, and didn't see any others indoors afterwards, but didn't give a good first impression. Otherwise, they'd have gotten a higher rating.
The location of the hotel was excellent and the service and amenities were wonderful.
Daniel on the evening shift was so very nice with all my questions re: my maltese. He went out of his way to help me. I so appreciated the kind and courteous treatment I received during my 2 day stay while working in Bal Harbour and Coral Gables. Thanks to each and every one of your staff. Leona
Not much. The staff for the most part was pretty rude
Conveniently located, for malls shopping, restaurants, night life, conventions, 24-hour gym facility, choice for valet and non-valet parking, etc. business center not part of the hotel when personal laptop/notebook not available for use.
This place is very fancy, clean, quiet(even though we booked while restorations were being done). It's a like a secluded get away. I loved staying here. The staff and security were very friendly and always spoke when you pass by. You have to pay to park even though you're a guest at the hotel and if you plan on going in and out it cost you more then the overnight $24 fee so if you plan on going out in your car I suggest planning it into your trip.
the rooms are very spacious and the hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. the charge for Wifi in your room when Wifi in the lobby is for free.
Clean, good service nothing
very comfortable beds and linens; good size room; concierge
Five star service and accomodations. Room was upgraded to the Starwood's freuqent guest floor. Fabulous hotel. A little confusing to find the hotel lobby and elevators. Hotel is mixed with commercial offices
Nice location easy walking distance to what is needed. Paid for internet, sheets were like sand paper.
very good nice room all in no
They make me feel like a queen It's not on the beach.
The hotel was a nice, airport location type hotel with reasonable breakfast included. Staff was friendly and helpful
Free transit shuttle to airport with friendly staff
Conveniently close to the airport. Room not perfectly clean, noisy air conditioning that you can't switch off at night.
Ubicacion y precio relacion a calidad razonable TV (no funcionaba la de mi habitacion)
Very nice rooms, you feel very welcome. Transfer from the airport every 20 minutes and very friendly. Breakfast room is too small
Staff was very helpful. To go breakfast bags were nice, since we had to leave before the hot breakfast service started. The room was comfortable and nice sized. The deal on leaving your car parked while on your trip was great. Shuttle was reliable, location is close to airport, without being too close. Starbucks, Walgreens and Publix are across the street - very handy. The hot tub wasn't hot! Construction noise was unexpected on a Sunday.
Close to the airport and cruise ports. Courtsey transportation to/from airport and cheap transportation to the cruise port.
cofee break, hotel staff is good.
Very close to the airport and the cruise terminal. The eleator is a bit tricky especially if the room key card wasn't ptogrammed correctly.
very close to airport. Clean comfortable for a quick stayover the breakfast was not great
Wonderful hotel, convenient location, free Wifi, spacious rooms, beautiful setting, great value, highly recommended! BTW, parking is $12 next door :) Staff not the friendiest - but that is a minor issue
swimming pool, design, furniture small rooms
I had to wait 4,5 hours until 4pm before I could check in and finally get my suite, Unfortunatelly they did not even offer me a coffee or invited me while I had to wait for lunch, etc. Beside that I have no complains.
very comfortable and clean.Good facilities and extremely helpful staff. Cost of internet facilities -very expensive.
The restaurant was very nice. Good food. Nice view facing the bay. No beach nearby. No real supermarket within walking distance. Lobby is very sterile and sofas are uncomfortable.
The room, view from room, pool, restaurant, etc. They didn't tell us when we booked the hotel that they are doing a major renovation to the exterior of the hotel, causing considerable noise and preventing the use of the balcony. This should have been disclosed, and/or they should have discounted the room rate.
The staff were extremely helpful The restaurant was very small
We went for business/leisure for 5 days. The staff was very helpful and amiable. The location is outstanding. The room was very clean with an excellent view. It could be a little bit bigger but it had all we needed. The room was somewhat small.
Location, service, attention with me as a guest, the restaurant, Everything was fine
It was clean. The pool view is great. Location is good. We were in a room that was off from the others. It was small and the finishes were outdated. I am very sure this was an overflow room. I'm guessing that is how you were able to get the low price. They probably don't use these rooms for the guests who book directly through them.
Loved the pool area the staff was very nice location was beautiful The coffee carafe was the wrong size, and coffee was not coming out. The kitchen area was dirty not fully clean. The bathroom was not fully clean in corner areas. Pillows are way to soft
Secure and well organised. Rooms well equiped. I was originally booked for two nights, but left after one. This place didn't fell like a hotel... Rather serviced apartments. So in short it was a boring place to stay for vacation.
Concierge was nice but he did not explain that there was an additional charge for parking. He gave me a ticket that I thought I would show at my departure next day but at the parking place they would not let me go without paying. That was a surprise for me. Also, at the front desk they did not ask me if I was a member of the Marriott hotels, I am, so I could have given them my name and number to add points or miles.
While the hotel did seem to be an older establishment, it was maintained wonderfully. The room was painted nicely, and the room was spotless. The room was comfy you could tell that management took great care to keep up the hotel. The MIA airport was a 10 min drive. I would stay again next time I need to leave from MIA airport.
room was clean pillows were lumpy and hard, room was very noisy
The staff was friendly and efficient, The room was well equipped. Plugs were well placed and enough for my electronics and the TV had a sleep timer which I like. The toilet had to be rattled to stop it from flushing and the hair blower kicked off and I couldn't get it to go back on, using the switches the causes it to go off. It could have had more, brighter lighting. there was only coffee for one cup.I wanted to tell them about the hair blower and toilet, but they were too busy and my shuttle arrived.
The hotel was near the airport and not too far from the cruise port which was a plus for us. There was a great seafood place next door! Good deal for the money. The rooms felt a little old but the location and price were reasonable. I was also a little disappointed that the pool was outside and not heated.
This hotel is convenient from the airport due to its shuttles. Their drivers are very kind. And its room is quieter than I had expected in this vicinity of the airport. Overall this hotel is recommendable. Sometimes the elevater is too slow. I used the hotel's restaurant for breakfast, but its service was limited.
The hotel was lovely. On a busy street. Alas, not near water but did have pool.
The hotel staff really impressed me with their great hospitality especially George and the manager Jose. Hotel was clean in a great location near the airport.
Place was clean, and good location. Price... kyak charged $200 for a Saturday night. Called to book the same room for a second night sunday direct and was charged $150. Cancelled Saturday due to a cancelled flight. Then after arriving in miami Saturday night at almost midnight after finding another flight I was charged $240.
The Regency is convenient to MIA, has frequent shuttles to MIA, and very helpful staff. The room was fine; quiet and comfortable. I stayed one night for a connecting flight south, and The Regency served very well.
Very easy access to Miami airport, especially if you have a rental car that needs to be dropped off. Reasonable prices for happy hour cocktails including a free appetizer and a nice restaurant with not the greatest food, but very attentative staff and again reasonable prices. Nothing else in the immediate vicinity if you want to kill some time with a walk, etc.
The hotel is only about 7 - 10 minutes from MIA. The night manager was very friendly and great to deal with. The room and bathroom were clean. Everything in the room felt dated The bathroom was right out of the seventies or eighties, and the air conditioning unit made all sorts of noise. If it weren't for earplugs, we would not have been able to sleep. The hotel needs a serious remodel.
Closeness to the airport and the extremely friendly and professional staff Air conditioner in the room was a little loud
This is a very nicely appointed hotel, near shopping, and has transportation to the airport 24 hours a day. The Staff was great, all of them, the guy driving the airport shuttle, the folks at the front desk, and the resturant too. When traveling through Miami and needing to do some shopping and get to the airport in a timely manor with out breaking the bank the Regency is a great choice.
My mother and I stayed here in order to catch the cruise ship in the morning. Hotel and staff were excellent. Stores were a few blocks away and into a not so great neighborhood. The hotel itself is close to Miami airport and the cruiseport. They will pick you up at the airport for free, and take you to the cruise port for $10 each. We found a terrific price on this hotel, compared to $200 ++ nearly everywhere else. I would highly recommend it for a pre-cruise place to stay.
Qiet Box springs old and gross, little scratchy bath towels, over priced, small bathroom, chipped porcelain, room not well cleaned, room smelled of smoke for a non smoking room, carpet was nasty.
It was a short drive from the airport and the port. Close to a few good restaurants. The room was disgusting. The wall A/C unit was only half taped on, with obvious water damage around it. The walls looked like they had not been painted in years. The carpets had stains. The clock was broken (face and buttons were missing). Someone had left pistachio nuts (not in a bag) on top of the shelf in the closet. Some of the electrical plugs did not work.
Stayed one night only for proximity of airport. Opinion is neutral as nothing stands out as good or bad.
was close to the center at a good price not clean , need some renovation
In easy reach of the airport as well as the nice parts of Coral Gables In need of modernisation
Cleanliness- even though an older hotel and sons are appear under construction- overall clean. The staff was helpful and accommodating. Only two towels with four people registered and no wash cloths.
biggest shit i've ever been i disliked everuthing
-good location in a safe, clean neighborhood with lots of parking -nice pool area -room had a private balcony -close to lots of great restaurants -A/C barely worked (fortunately it was not hot outside) -no hot water in shower in the morning -sliding door to balcony very difficult to open
Clean rooms, walking distance to Coral Gables. Nice Restaurant in building. Food was very good and reasonable, wait staff very attentive. Need a shelf or something in bathroom for personal items. Not enough room for two people's things. Chairs in dinning area need something to lesson the scrapping sound, very noisy.
the pool No
Hotel shuttle was very prompt and driver polite, Hotel staff was courteous and helpful. Mylos Greek restaurant was quite casual, but the food was pretty good. All rooms have a balcony. Location was residential and safe for walking around. Hotel is in need of a complete remodel! Very dated and old. Furnishings were well used. Had to be strong as an ox to slide open the balcony door.
We actually wanted to stay in Coral Gables so it very conveniently positioned for this stay - but we would go back to South Beach next time. Our room although very spacious backed onto the main road "Ponce De Lyon" which was extremely busy so we never got the chance of a lie in although they said when leaving ask for the pool side we would not stay again
Room comfort - location Staff did not communicate properly with in-house services
Location ,price, A lovely room.Train a street away makes it easy to get around.
very welcoming staff who really looked after us - so many extras great breakfast was very good, too.
Cleanliness of bedroom and bathroom Lobby
It was clean neat and close to the metrolink and walking distance to coconut grove and the breakfast was good
Very comfortable, quiet, good bed and room. Top rooms are best. Second time I stay here, and its far better than anything else in Miami for the price and comfort.
Staff was very helpful. Private parking lot, good wireless internet, nice, roomy renovated bedrooms. Breakfast is good but could be better.
Quiet nights sleep. Clean room
Overall the accommodations were nice. The room was in nice shape and was clean. The TV had many channel options and the bathroom was modern. Very well priced for the area that it is in and the room was modern (maybe remodeled in the past 1 or 2). The parking area is small and althought the hotel is technically in Coconut Grove, you are several walking blocks from the restaurant and shopping areas. This hotel is right off of US 1, so the traffic is hectic during rush hour times.
Location is good but any coconut grove location would be good. Free parking is great! A bit grubby. Toilet didn't stop running. Allergies went wild when in the room. Dust? Mold?
all the little extras were included, good breakfast, 24 hr coffee and tea, fresh cookies in the evening, newspapers and business centre
