Our stay in Cambodia was trully unforgettable. What a country, what a fantastic people. And part of these great memories are from the days that we stayed at "Borei Angkor Resort". The hotel has all the amenities of a 4 / 5 stars hotel. But what makes this hotel so special is the extraordinary friendliness and efficiency of the staff. But what has fascinated us more is that they make us feel that we were the most important guests of the hotel. I call this perfection. To all who wish to visit Angkor I highly recommend this hotel.
excellent hotel, full fledge 4 stars, fusion of colonial and khmer style, excellent view from the top floor, huge terrace with a palm... hmmm.. very good
good location, good service, good breakfast, good vaule
From the moment John greeted me at reception, I was made to feel welcome and taken care of. They brought a drink and a delicacy right away as I waited in the lobby for my check in procedure. They arranged a driver for the day, they arranged a massage, they suggested dinner spots. Breakfast buffet included. They spoke perfect English. The copious lush wood in the lobby together with tasteful decoration was on par with any western 5 star hotel. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. The value for money is unparalleled. Great spot for couples or family. Just go. Nothing.
Hotel staff always more than willing to help and offered useful suggestions.
amazing staff, always friendly and helpful , very clean , great pool and fab breakfast choices.
The staff, incredible; the kindness, awesome; the breakfast, excellent; the decoration, ellegant; the services.... simply perfect!!
The Staff were very professional and helpful.. Great food and the swimming pool was excellent .
Everything! Excellent value for the money! These are just small sugestions: - Internet room could be better; - Bigger towels to the swimming pool
Beautiful hotel with excellent leisure facilities. Friendly, helpful staff and good food. Great value for money overall.
The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay The local guides provided by the hotel were not as knowledgable of the Angkor Temples as we would have expected.
The most I like was the big swimming pool. Some staff of the hotel was not very polite, the prices on the hotel are crazy expensive if you compare with the street restaurant for the same food and service.
Very attentive and effective staff. Nice rooms and large above-expectation swimming pool. N/A
Very good hotel with good service and large swimming pool Too many mosquitos
Very pleasant and enjoyable stay with friendly staff
The beds were wonderfully comfortable and the room was spacious and clean. The spa was very relaxing too. Plenty of space to hang clothes but not enough drawer space for other clothing items.
the staff was always very pleasent and helpfull, the spa experience is a good thing to enjoy after a hot day at the temples also the large and very clean pool, the room service is active and helpfull at any hour of the day or night, very impressed by the fact that they sent the driver to wait for us even if we did not asked for it - we were travelling with a 6 months baby and it was amazing that finally in Cambodia we find a hotel that sent us a car at the airport - in Bali and Langkawi we asked for a car but did not got one the breakfast was pretty poor as choices
Beautiful place to live in with greenery all over, staff was very humble very cordial very polite always smiling always ready to help i wish i had spent some more days there no regrets
very clean,good location,near old market,
Great location, easy waking distance of night life. However - although the hotel is exactly as described, it's utterly forgettable. It could be any hotel you've ever stayed in anywhere. The staff are great if you can get their attention ....you normally have to go ask for it! I gave up and went looking for a drink after sitting by the pool for 45mins. Beds are hard (but we found that everywhere on or travels ...except the Hanoi Metropole which is amazing).
The hotel is in a great location and within 10 minute walking distance to Pub St (main bars / restaurants area). The Pool is very nice and the hotel offers internet terminals for those travelling without computers. The rooms have a walk in shower. While the rooms are large and clean, they can be considered a litle on the dark side. With the decor being Khemer it cannot be regarded as modern and bright. For the rooms that do not face out onto the pool (Standard rooms) the noise from outside can be annoying,
location is great. Nice pool Did not have the beds turned down
The facilities, the great rooms, the super bed, the pool, the breakfast and the attitude of the staff at reception. The noise of repair work around the pool started early morning and did not stop until nightfall. The roommaids need to get more training, ie; cleaning the room better, not leaving anything behind and understanding that TWO persons in a room need TWO shower caps. We had to ask for a second one several times. Also, the command of English of their staff is below international standards. Generally their prices for food and beverages are outrageously high. Better to eat downtown at Pub Street.
The pool was absolutely amazing. The room was beautiful and very large as well. The hotel was quiet and peaceful and the staff were always so helpful and available when you needed them. The perfect place to stay to relax and have some peace and quiet!
Great hotel with beautiful grounds. Very well located in city. Pool is amazing. Staff is very helpful and attentive. This is Could be a 5 star property, but it need a good cleaning. The bathtub in my room was heavily stained and discolored. The floor looked as though it could use a good scrubbing. The concierge service is terrible. I paid for a full day (8 hour tour) with a guide and driver. I was brought back to the hotel 3.5 hours later... When I told them that they only provided me with a half day tour, they giggled. I would highly recommend using one of the many off property services. Or, just go out the gate and get a tuk-tuk (5 bucks to Angkor Wat) and hire one of the many tour guides standing in front of the entrance (7 dollars for a full walking tour). The final price you pay shoul be about 1/3rd of what the guide asks for.
Wasn't sure what to expect in Cambodia but hotel was excellent - modern, great location, modern clean hotel rooms, large pool, good restaurants. We were extremely happy with the Sokha Angkor Resort. We had no complaints with the Sokha Angkor Resort.
Overall satisfied. Internet is 25$ per day which I think is expensive
Good location of the hotel closed to "Pub street" only 6 mn by foot, some restaurants nearby (I recomend you 'Nest' just in front), good price during low season, breakfast quality is ok bad insonorisation of the room, not possible to sleep after 7 am due to the noise but you should normally wake up to visit temples at this time so not a big deal, decoration is a little bit 'old fashion'
Spacious and clean rooms. Great location in the city centre and walking distance to shopping, restaurants and bars. Friendly personnel, very good breakfast buffet. I still don't understand how the "spa" works. We booked a massage at the hotel but ended up going to a small, old, rather "dodgy" massage place around the corner. Not recommended!
The staff was very friendly, good breakfast selection. You cannot beat the price for the location, a short walk to Pub Street were all the action happens. Great pool to hang at, room was comfortable, even had a balcony The lobby is never really "cool". The AC doesn't pump very well, but the room AC was just fine
The staff is outstanding--one of the best I've ever encountered. All of them couldn't have been more helpful. Rooms are comfortable. Pool is delightful. Overall, a very good stay and an excellent value. Wifi is way, way too slow. I'm talking sometimes 607 kb/sec. It was frustrating to wait and to sit close to the door to get a better signal. The lobby was only marginally better.
The hotel is located close to the center of Siem Reap. The breakfast buffet was good and offered a wide range of food, from asian noodles to french bread and omlettes. The prices for the drinks and the food in the hotel was pretty high for cambodian standards. But never the less one could get cheap food and drinks from outside in the direct vincinity of the hotel.
Regular type of hotel with simple amenities . Too pricy for a simple looking hotel Overpriced
Great and friendly staff. Room was awesome. Location was close to everything (airport and Angkor Wat were about 20-30 minutes away from car/tuk tuk). Pool was quiet and serene. Laundry service was great as well. Overall excellent stay and would stay there again.
