The pool was warm and clean. Not up to 5 star standard. Breakfast very poor for vegitarians. Hotel and Casino look tired and need updating.
Close to the beach.Comfort and staff so friendly.
Reception Staff could br friendlier
The see view.
Location the hotel in its self was ok the room was shocking
the hotel is in the heart of the resort with easy access to all facilities
I enjoyed my stay at the hotel due to the location and standard of the hotel
Good breakfast, nice room, Nice staff, good outdoor area, nice terrace with bar just inside the door. They had a very poor wifi system, it didn`t work in my room, I needed to sit in the lobby with my laptop. This is a 5 star hotel? And of course it should work in the rooms as well.
The view from the hotel is fantasric, great prices for food, in and around the hotel It was a bit old fashioned
As I was holidaying on my own I felt very safe and the staff were very helpful. I didn't have a balcony. I would book sea view next time.
Proximity to the beach was good and rooms were big and comfortable, bathroom well equipped. Some of the female staff at reception were a bit rude - some customer service skills would be of benefit to them
Excellent location of the hotel, very kind staff, new equipment of the facilities, very clean facilities... Great location for visiting several beaches in Algarve! Breakfast should be improved (poor selection).
Modern well furnished room. Good breakfast selection Noise overnight from street as room was on ground floor. Pool small and as in basement had no outlook Hadn't booked car park and there is no parking adjacent to hotel
Great location. Free internet. Very helpful staff. Missing wifi
A brand new Hotel with great design ans style in the centre of Praia da Rocha in Portimao right on the beach with private parking..I advise staying in the junior suites, just perfect. Nothing,
Perfect location , the strip that it is on is fantastic for restaurants and shops. The views are beautiful. The pool does not get much sun and No Wifi at present.
Lovely hotel, modern and very clean. It is ideally located beside beach and in close proximity to shops restaurants and bars. I would definitely recommend Rocha Hotel Apartamento to family and friends. The buffet breakfast provided a wide variety of breakfast dishes - the only criticism I would have is that the hot food section was by no means warm let alone hot!!
everything: exelent location, staff, room facilities, plenty of space, pacefull atmosphre, good internet acess, room designe.
great friendly service. excellent clean modern contemporary decor. locatino is awesome. not the hotels fault but the music from the hotel across the road was very annoying.
great variety for the breakfast, lift very quick, very clean and bright, staff very helpful, reasonable priced. room for three using bed sofa there was very little space for coffee table
Superb surrondings, very charming hotel with tasteful decoration. Huge swimming pool. Very efficient service. And a super plus, fresh toals and private chaise-longs on the nearst beach. We just loved our stay. No free Wi-Fi; but that forced us to disconnect more :-)
Great setting; fantastic golf; hotel with a lot of charm and personality; casual but professional lunch at the Cotton Club and a marvellous wine tasting dinner at the Grill restaurant on Nov 12! A fantastic experience. Need to rent a car if you want to escape
Swiming pool and garden. If you are not a golf player, this is not a hotel to stay in. It is far from anywhere I.E. Alvor and Lagos. Rooms are average for 5 star hotels. No beach nearby. Their private beach is not good for swimming: too cold.
The swimming pool area is great! The staff at reception was not nice. And the rooms need to be renewed.
Five star atmosphere, lovely food. Good shuttle bus to the beach
The beds were incredibly comfortable! We had booked a wine/pairing dinner hence decided to stay overnight. It was a nice event but we were both ill that night and the next day. At first we thought we'd had too much wine (a few glasses but I don't think more than anyone else at dinner). We mentioned at checkout feeling a bit rough but we still had mild food poisoning type symptoms the rest of the day and realised it was in fact 'in the stomach' and not a hangover! It was difficult to know what to do but we thought the chef ought to know in case it was bad seafood ? so we reported it to the hotel front desk later on 13th but she wasn't very helpful. It's not a complaint as we didn't ask her to do anything only to tell the chef and to be aware others might report symptoms.
Wen I arrive, the room that was reserved to me was very poor ( a two stars hotel dont have a room like that ). I made a complain and they change the room. But I think a 5 Stars Hotel can put a guess in a room like that, and if we go to a Hotel like this one, we never think that we must have to discuss the quality of a room
The standard of housekeeping was very poor. Room not made up some days until late evening despite several calls to reception. Only on last day was this satisfactory.
I have been visiting Penina for over 30 years now - it is truly a special place. The setting is spectacular, with immaculate golf courses, and beautiful garden areas. Facilites are superb and the staff are charming. With fewer than 200 rooms, the hotel never feels crowded. Highly recommended.
staff helpful and friendly / hotel grounds were superb / drinks were extremely expensive
The Garden, bathrooms very clean, nice linnens, entertainment, breakfast.
The convenience to all the shops and the closeness to the motorway Very poor equipment in the gymnasium and the fact you had to pay to use the spa facilities.
The room and the view was fantastic yes we did not have an iron in the room:)
Central location, 5 star service, as my wife is a wheelchair user the manager had upgraded us to a larger room with full sea view, reserved us a private parking space and without any prompting left us a complimentary basket of friut for my birthday. Disabled facilities not very good, no rooms with a walk in shower
Location is excellent Hotel Staff could have been a little bit friendly especially on front desk. When we arrived at front desk our small child got very sick & the Staff on reception did not do anything to help or assist. Not very customer friendly. Staff in breakfast room were a bit better & the staff in the Jupiter Spa were very polite & friendly.
The staff were extremely helpful
The hotel is situated in the centre of praia da rocha and is 500m from one of the finest beaches in europe. Only down side the beds are single 2 single beds pushed together to make a double.
Cleansiness, centrally located, close to beach, great sea view, room size. Small pool, poor quality breakfast, unfriendly staff, hidden costs- i.e. no iron resulting in having to pay for laundry.
Lovely Hotel, spotlessly clean, with good friendly staff. There is an excellent spa and the location which is practically on the beach is an ideal spot for sunbathing or walking because of the boardwalk which is the full length of the beach. There was nothing that I didn't like.
The breakfast. The quality of the bed The room was awful in terms of decoration (clearly not suitable for a 4 star hotel). The air conditioned didn't work properly. The water pressure was low.
Proximity to the beach. Swimming pool on site. Very good breakfast Overly expensive restaurant on site. We asked for a room for 4 people and the bed for the third and fourth persons was really uncomfortable.
Location excellent, the staff were more than helpful. The rooms have a small kitchenette and are ideal for making snacks. The complex is large built around a marina, the restaurant and bar facilities are in the central area quite a walk from some of the outer situated rooms
Just everything. A Great Stay. I am not that spoiled.
Location,breakfast,cleanliness,tranquility,facilities and staff.
Excellent roomy accomodation for discount price. Worn towels (but clean!)
The location right next to the beach at Praia da Rocha is superb. The bathroom was showing signs of age, as there was mould around the bath and in the grout in the tiles
It would be better if the bedroom was separate to the rest of the room instead of like a studio .. i thought i was getting a junior suite
Bad service; Dificult to find a place in swimming pool
Comfortable apartment with a good restaurant attached. The view of the Marina was a bonus.
Really nice hotel out of season (end of October). Down by the Marina front, with a close walk to the beach and lots of shops/resteraunts & the Praia Da Rocha strip. Its also not too far from the town of Portimao (15 minute walk). Marina was filled with boats but even on the windiest of days, you couldnt hear the rigging (thank god). Would defo go back and utilise some of the hotels many facilities. 2 Beds pushed togther to make one bed??? Just invest in some double beds, 2 singles pushed togther is rubbish
The rooms have a lot of space. You can have breakfast and dinner outside with view on the swimming pool and the sea. The rooms were very good constructed - they stay cool during the day (even without a need to use the airconditioning). Only the hotel management, the staff at the reception and the higher staff in the restaurant understand English or French (few). The other staff (cleaning, restaurant, ...) only speaks Portugese. Some of the staff in the restaurant for breakfast isn't professional (for example the preparation of eggs). The swimming hasn't got a good water circulation system. The prices of consumation at the pool are too high (> 3 EUR for a bottle of mineral wather). Due to the fact that the hotel is situated in a beautiful green area, you need to walk a long time before you find a shop or supermarket. When you compare the hotel with other beach destionations like Gran Canaria for exemple, a lot of luxury in the hotel is rather common on other destinations or has a better price/quality (the Portugese Algarve region is in general expensive). The hotel is also used on one way or another for the selling of time sharing products.
The view was wonderful. staff gets annoyed if people want to contact other people staying at your sister hotels. Not clear on what is included with room.
Location It is definitely not a 5 star hotel but certainly charges 5 star prices. As a minimum in a 5 star hotel you expect a porter to collect your bags from the car. this never happened upon arrival or departure from the hotel. Also a 5 star hotel should be offering refreshments around the pool to guests, not have them have to go to the main bar and wait to be served.
We liked the location and the position of the hotel above the best under developed beach on the Algarve and the ability to acess the beach easily. The gymnasium facility was very basic and dated for a hotel of this star rating. It needs to be updated urgently.
The weather was amazing every day. The staff we very helpful. The hotel was close to a town which provided more options for food and drink. The guests were not the most friendly. Everyone kept to themselves. Did not like the idea of people reserving sunbeds by just placing a towel on it early in the morning and then not showing up until the middle of the afternoon. Very selfish.
Fantastic location, staff very professional and extremely kind and a very good breakfast no slippers included in the room
Great hotel, wonderful location and beach. Very relaxing.. Towels changed every morning and evening.. Nothing at all..
I enjoyed easy access to the pool area. The views of the sea. The warm reception in the dining room for dinner and breakfast. The hotel enviornment felt very safe. Noise permeating from early morning risers as the wheels of suitacases could be heard. The piano for breakfast broke the peace of the morning. I would have liked a receipt for my food and drink also for my records. The airconditioning was not very efficient. The shower in my room was dissapointing and the shower curtain allowed the water to wet the floor. T.V reception was not great. I don't agree with it's five star rating, perhaps four.
The beach, the breakfast and the friendly staff Pillows were not very comfortable and the TV had poor reception.
The location is fantastic at the most interesting end of the Tres Irmaos Beach and surrounded by some great restaurant options. Loved the options to partake in free classes run by the hotel and using the spa. Breakfast was a particular highlight of our stay.
The first room given to me was a bad one. No Balcony but 2 small windows that didn't open at all instead. After my claim, the presented room has the publicized characteristic announced in the site.
Beautiful interior and excellent location. Rooms spacious and comfortable. Breakfast also good.
location, and size of room no english breakfast available,
The position of the hotel is excellent, we loved the garden area, the room was cleaned to a good standard and the breackfast offered a good daily choice. Our only complant is the people who reserve sunbeds by leaving their things on them then going away. This is unfair to people who want to stay in the grounds. something should be done to bring this to the notice of guests using the hotel.
Location is great, great views. No food options in the hotel during the day.
the location and views of resort nothing
we cut our stay short. the food was inedible and we will be seeking a refund.
Located on the beach, nice and calm at the and of the season. Original style. Wooden floors make some noice above your head.
spacious room with cooking facilities lack of choices in the breakfast menu.
friendly ,efficient helpful staff. Great location beautiful views clean, spacious rooms delicious breakfast No kleenex in rooms
Very nice apartment on 16th floor with excellent ocean view. Comfortable and clean You had do wash up your dishes yourself as it was not included in the service. Furthermore cleaning ladies always wake us up in the morning.
It has a nice room, big and clean. Very confortable and near the beach. The kitchen has everything we need. - The hot water finished before we could fill up the bathtub. - The health club only works during commercial time, we arrived saturday 19:20h and couldnt use it, cause closes at 19h and dont open on sundays.
Good location off main strip but not too far at same time. Near beautiful beach. Spa/Gym great value at 15euro for 3hrs all inclusive.
Helpfulness of staff, possibility to cook thanks to a very functional kitchen, position of hotel near at the sea and at the bus stop, spaciousness of rooms. We are Italian people and we need to eat "Pasta"...well, in this hotel it wasn't a drainer for Pasta...but it is a trifle, we like very mutch this hotel!
Noting much. It was pretty much what I expected. So, it didn't surprise, but it didn't disapoint either. All in all, a good value for money hotel.
The apartment was new and nice. In the kitchen you can find everything you may need (except for the Italian moka obviously). The apartment was not really clean. The daily maid service was approximate. Sheets were not "fresh". I expected a better service due to the many comments I read on the website before booking the apartment.
the size of the room was perfect and the kitchen was perfect also the should wash the dishes every day
the room, the design anything
I really loved this hotel. Our room was very spacious and we even had a ocean/see view which was perfect for relaxing evenings on the balcony. The beaches were really near (just across road) and Staff was very helpful (and nice!). This hotel is amazing for somebody who is looking for quality accommodation with average price and great location.
It was our 1st time in this hotel and we were given the room asked during the booking. The room had a stunning view of the beach and the hotel is very close to it. The apartment itself is well equipped and that's very good for people (like us) that want to cook something nice themselves, instead of going out for lunch / dinners all the time. Overall the experience was good and we would return again for sure, if staying around this area. A couple of things in the snag list. :) There wasn't washing liquid in the kitchen. This is not very nice for people staying just for a few days, as if we go in the supermarket, such liquid comes in in big bottles only and it doesn't make sense to buy it. I think this is in the interest of the hotel as well. We wanted to keep things tidy (mainly when leaving), but there's no way to wash pans, cutlery, etc... without a small sponge and some soap. Another issue was the bed, as it was pretty noisy, but it wasn't uncomfortable.
The sea view. The beds were more suitable for children. A full size single would be a bit more comfortable, especially if staying 1 or 2 weeks.
The location is excellent, very close to the beach. Unfortunately, we stayed on the 4th floor, and the view wasn't spectacular. The apartment was clean and was big enough, only that didn't have any pot or pan, so basicly either you buy them or you don't cook, also the beds were quite uncomfortable. The pool is nice facility. In any case, I think it is quite expensive to pay 100€ so not good value for money, besides I had to pay all my stay at arrival, even before seeing the appartment first.
we were central to everything and it was so quiet
The apartment's location was great, clean and up to date. Easy to find, very close to the beach a local shops. In suite laundry and kitchen were great for the few days we were there. Great value. Suite was easily big enough for 4 people. The hot water tank was quite small, and we could barely get two reasonable showers on a single tank. Not a big deal, but the pool was not yet cleaned for the season.
location they offer appartment for 3 people but beds were awfull
Great location, half a block from the beach, restaurants and grocery store. We were first given a room on the 3rd floor but asked for a higher floor and ended up with a 24th floor ocean view......fantastic view. Directions could have been better and beds were very hard.
Fantastic location and cleanliness of the building and our room which was sea view on the 23rd floor with balcony. There was no phone in the room. had to go all the way down to the reception from 23rd floor to answer phone late night.
very close to the main strip a little dated
location excellent staff very friendly accomadation very clean close to beach highly reccommended very noisy fridge in our room 2607 kept me awake most nights it was reported clean towels should be available every day
The staff were always friendly and accomodating. The access to the indoor, outdoor pools and beach was easy and safe which is important with kids. Everything around Jardim do vau was very accessible either by a short walk or a short taxi ride. If being pickey I found the beds were too hard for me.
The size of the apartment was perfect, large enough for 3. Not many activities available as they only run on certain days.... which is ok if you have two weeks however if you only have 4-5 days it limits what you can see and do without a car. This is not the hotels fault is is the organised tours with which they work. The fact that you have to go into town to buy dishwashing detergent and sponge - a containted apartment with complete cooking facility and dishware should as a basic standard come with products in order to clean these utensils. Simply ridiculous! On top of you are not told of this until you find out the hard way - with dirty dishes in the sink.
pool, beach at the door step, short walking distance to Alvor and Praia de Rocha, golf nearby
relaxing, enjoying the facilities of the hotel, swimming in pool and sea Found one and only one receptionist not very friendly.Abrupt with a bad attitude.
Was located adjacent to beach. Hotel staff cleaned room every day and provided clean linen. Staff were helpful. Nice pool although water could be warmer ! Good facilities. Not much in Praia do Vau itself - a few below average restaurants. It was however no more than EUR 4-5 to either Praia da Rocha or Alvor. The hotel is located on a fairly busy road so there is noise from traffic so a light sleeper may suffer from this. We picked accommodation because of quality and proximity to beach and were very pleased in those respects. Also contacted hotel in advance regarding transfer from airport to hotel. Told me they could organise taxi for EUR 80, didnt go for this. While there, they were however able to organise shared transfer to airport for EUR 34 !
The superb attention of the staff was overwhelming and very much appreciated, reception was excellent,as were the housekeeping staff. the restaurant was perfect and food served was first class, really loved the towels supplied by the resort for use in the spa which was spotlessly clean at all times. all in all a very enjoyable and relaxing time was had,we will certainly be returning soon. not one thing,
Good location and facilities
The location of the hotel is excellent as are the facilities and staff,an all round great place to stay, The beach is spotlessly clean with an excellent selection of reasonably priced restaurants, staff are very efficient and provide a first class service. no
The staff were so helpful and accomodating, always pleasant to deal with. The hotel was right on the beach and close enough to Praia Do Rocha to avail of the local amenities, but far enough away that you didn't feel like you were slap bang in the middle of a high rise resort. The hotel was very dated, the reception/rooms/restaurant could all do with some redecoration, but I fear that that would come at the expense of the customer as with all these things! So maybe it's best to leave it as it is, a reasonably priced family hotel with a great location and lovely staff.
Beautiful veiw, appartment bigger than average and clean. Quiet and peaceful. Well equiped but overall appearance was a little shabby, wardrobe doors scuffed in several places, covers on lounge furniture shabby and poor fit. Bed very uncomfortable, pillows small and poor quality. Guests need an explanation on how to use the electricity on arrival, had to go down to reception twice and ask how to obtain a supply, should have been told by reception on arrival or had printed instructions in the room. Late booking in times [16.00hrs] although did manage to get in room earlier
closeness of beach, and private seccurity no
lots of room in the appartments, good location
The excellent location nearby the sand and the beach. The pool is also good, the water is nice. The playground for kids is poor.
Parking facilities were excellent Although my booking was for 3 people there was only towels and bedding for 2. I had to go up and down to reception twice to rectify. Also I was not informed until my arrival that they would not accept visa card to pay bill, this caused great inconvenience as I had to pay cash out of my spending money.
the location was excellent , apartment was huge , plenty of cafes and bas nearby. bus stop outside door. very helpfull girl called Maria on front desk No complaints, great budget break...
Very quiet rooms quite large pleanty of sun beds at pool easy distance to beach public transport outside gate Rooms a bit dated
the apartments were very well equiped, spacious, clean and comfortable. the beautiful sandy beach across the road made coral do vau the perfect location
Very friendly staff. Great location on beach front. Very roomy apartments. Relaxing and quite location. No complaints.
Beside the beach, spacious and clean apartment.
Hotel was clean and relaxing, rooms are clean and sufficiently furnished Breakfast could have have a little more choice and something needs to be done to prevent the constant door banging when guests forget they have balcony doors open. This is mainly children and starts early morning. Perhaps a door stop or foam lining would help.
apartments very nice and big and very clean the supermarket attached to the hotel very poor lacking stock and very expensive pity as this is such a nice hotel could have better and more up to date shop staff in shop lacked manners it would not cost anything to smile and be polite to customers
swimming area very good. Apartments very good size.Staff very helpful with any problems. Showers need to be up graded in bathrooms.Staff in the bar did not keep it clean.
Swimming pools x3 great to have, room very big Breakfast very poor, had to pay for anything decent not used and felt like a wast of money
We both liked the relaxed athmosphere and the short walk to the beach. We would recommend the hotel it ticked all the right boxes
Comfortable and pleasant place, difficult locate..
reception very welcoming and efficient on arrival and departure. maid service excellent. cleanliness excellent throughout hotel. well maintained facilities.
the setting - good staff - good rooms
close the beach, amazing room, great price, very friendly staff. a grocery store wasn't close by...the supermarket attached had very high prices.
The hotel staff were helpful and the apartment much larger than expected considering the price being charged.. The apartment was cleaned every afternoon to a high standard. As the hotel is about 4Km from the centre of Portimao, it is a pleasant walk and taxis are relatively cheap. I would certainly use the Estrela do Vau again.
Everything! For us no problem, but I think that the room cleaning could be better
very clean- friendly staff -good location for beech-shopping - proximity to all facilities twenty four hour reception. the exterior could do with a touch up
liked the closeness to beach would have liked a full sea view. intend going back in may and september
Quality Vs Price Air conditioning doesn't exist.
nice and quite
space. view. for the value payed, nothing in particular.
It was an excellent, basic apartment, very clean with everything you needed in it.The position was good for the resort and it was quiet at night. Hair dryer would be handy
It was freezing at the apartment. I was sleeping in the hat. We had to leave as the situation hasn't changed overnight. Beaware during offseason.
We had a large, comfortable apartment with kitchen facilities. It is very close to the beach and buses for the area are right across the street. While it is close to many resaurants and other facilities, it is far enough away from most of the late night discos to keep the noise down. Staff were generally helpful and friendly. Very good value for the money.
location! there wasn't air conditioned!!
Hotel Staff, location and food! Too pricey for what was actually available at the Hotel.
the hotel location, also the view from room, the facilities were excellant, all ok
quiet surrounding, good parking facilities complaint about the music at breakfast. Far to loud, bad choice. Temperature inside hotel and rooms, much to high. Air conditioning not working properly.
Very difficult to find.Bar/restaurant area poorly staffed. Only one small bottle of shower gel and one small one of shampoo provided for 2 people. Upon requesting additional supply, we were told that the 2 bottles provided upon arrival were all that were offered. - very mean!
Generally we enjoyed the whole experience with few exceptions, the hotel was very clean and well organised.Reception and public areas were small being a budget four star, but was more than compensated by the room sizes and room facilities, all in very good condition including the dishwasher. Though not situated right on a beach, 5 minutes walk away, it was very convenient to both Alvor and Praia Do Rocha being just a 4 Euro taxi ride away. If I had to highlight one area of dissatisfaction about the hotel it would be the perceived indifference of some of the evening desk staff to guest requests. I felt on occasion it was disturbing for them to be taken away from 'twitter' or whatever they were at on the desk PC monitor. On my one visit to the hotel bar, which was empty at the time, we had to wait until the barman had finished his session watching the TV. Now maybe this perceived indifference is a Portuguese thing, but as I mentioned above, 'if I had to highlight one area of dissatisfaction' this would be it. It is also fair to say that the day staff were extremely friendly including the young ladies I met as I checked in.
Best value for money for some time and we travel a lot. Very clean and modern. The beach was about 300 metres away - close enough - extremely nice beach.
Covenient to beach, praira da rocha and alvor were in reasonable taxi distance for night life and restaurants and relaxed environment in the hotel itself.
Comfortable room with settee. Well equipped kitchenette. Good sized balcony with furniture. Buffet breakfast is more than adequate but definitely not four star.
The staff we excellent and we got in our room early which was a plus side. We expected this hotel to be a little bit more central but it was out of the way a little bit and you needed a car to drive to restaurants etc.
The staff where very friendly and helpful and the location, it's very close to the beach, this was the second time I've stayed at this hotel A few things didn't work, like one of the bedside lights, but that's no big deal
i love the friendly staff they are very helpful also the hotel is not to big and that makes me feel safe staying there i would say only thing is no english channels on telly except for mtv which was in german.I am sure that they do get a lot of english speaking guests and they should also fecilitate for such.It is nice to relax for an hour in the hotel before maybe geting ready for an evening out
cleanliness and exceptionally good staff one or two noisy neighbours
Great location, 2 min from beach
Location, price and insonorization of the northern rooms given the noise of the discos in the main street. The bathroom has a bathtub and was recently renovated, although the rest of the room is clearly older. Breakfast was just ok, except the juices available were way too waterish. No power socket near the beds (for powering my mobile or laptop, for instance) and the mains switch at the entrance only works with the actual key (no credit card trick), so I couldn't go and have breakfast or take a walk and leave the laptop charging unattended (of course I would switch off the lights in such a case)
Its location and the staff friendliness. They all knew English. They have a separate sitting room for wireless internet and this is a nice feature, they also put in this room all the books the guests leave behind.
Third time I have stayed here, the club opposite and local bars can be damm loud - but the hotel has triple glazing so keeps out most of it.nice helpful staff - clean breakfast room, for a continental breakfast it was good - wish the white coffee was hotter.
the ease of checking in andof course the locality what I didnt like was there were no facilties for making tea or coffee in the room
The staff was very helpful and friendly, room was cleaned everyday. Good internet connection and nice breakfast
The staff was very friendly, the facilities were clean and comfortable, and the price was great. We were really, really happy with our stay - we even stayed an extra night. We would highly recommend the Made Inn. No - it was everything we expected and more.
The modern, clean style of the hotel, the staff were happy, enthusiastic and as helpfull as they could be at all times.
Hotel is based in town center. They have bike for rent which is cheap too. Great Price, Staff and Location. Clean and tidy room. Only the room doesn't have fridge. but they provide you with ice
Cool, modern hotel. perfect for young people Yes. The terrible, terrible t e r r I b l e stink in the morning...was it the river, was it the town sewers...i don't know but sweet jesus....what smell!
Decor and excellent breakfast
Friendly staff, very good location . Got up early and had a long wait for hot water in shower
The hotel was perfect for our needs, it was immaculately clean and fresh, staff were friendly. Highly recommended.
Warm welcome from receptionist - who spoke English. Decor bright, clean and vivacious - all roomes are themed. Room spotless, roomy enough for a short stay, theme was motor racing so huge mural behind bed of racing car. Bathroom good size with bath and very clean. Breakfast good with choice of hot and cold food, great coffee and very friendly staff. Location central. Bathroom lighting very dull. Bedside lights were motor racing helmets and although novel, they were ineffective. These are small things and do not affect my overall opinion of this great little boutique hotel.
A problem on arrival - but all was handled in a very professional way - They thought of the customer and all staff seemed to have been told of the problem and everything was very well handled and dealt with. I would stay here again. Walls are a bit thin!! If you have noisy neighbours you are in trouble!! but I always travel with earplugs - you never know when you might need them!!
very clean hotel inside and out. pool area never over crowded so sunloungers were always available. very good location, its at the heart of everything in praia da rocha.
Price, pool, value prices in hotel bar, location, tasty snacks, friendly staff. Poor airconditioning. Hotel exterior needs repainting. Rooms could do with decorating. Replace carpets with floor tiles. Repaint the rooms.
very bad breakfast
Really liked the proximity to the beach. Excellent location on the quieter end of Praia da Rocha, but very close to the beach and easy walking distance to the activities of the area. The hotel is really starting to show it's age, it needs a face-lift and update.
When I looked up the trip adviser for this hotel there was a number of complaints regarding breakfast, however I found the breakfast as good as any , with even a hot breakfast available for a very nominal charge of less than €3.00
The hotel is superbly located behind a famous beach. Many souvenir shops, bars and restaurants at walking distance. The hotel is clean and fairly priced for the amenities they provide. Considering that this hotel attracts mostly beach lovers it would be considerate of them if they provided their guests with beach towels. Most people don't travel with beach towels after all.
easy access to beach and excellent pool
Everything was ok No
All the staff spoke English and were always availabe to elp with information and services. The rooms were simple but ample. The room was made up very well each day. There were no noisy complaints from other guests or from facilities in the hotel.
On the beach, quite zone and one minute walking to the restaurants way . Easy to find parking.
It was quite good, however there should have been a bar I think there should have been a bar
Friendly atmosphere, good central location.
hotel staff were very helpful. great location. clean, quiet and comfortable.
Booked a single room and was given a double.
good staff good location clean and tidy excellent breakfast parking though limited quiet rooms balcony shower very small would prefer a bath no shelf or cabinet in bathroom
The locatiion was excellent as it is close to everything, the beach restaurants etc,
That's a good Hotel, the staff are very nice
the hotel was spotless and the staff very good the room was fine with the best shower we have had abroad
Excellent Staff at Reception could not be more helpful or pleasant. One lovely girl did not get her name worked at reception she was the nicest receptionist i have ever come across so well done to her just wish i could have thanked her in person but she was on day off when i checked out but well done to her Breakfast was very poor left a lot to desire in choice and bread very very scarce, No bar and no swimming pool
Excellenty location for exploring the Algarve. The hotel was clean and comfortable. We would stay there again in the future. The only things to add in this area is that the coffee served at breakfast is bleak stuff and I think there are some guest parking issues.
