I felt the Vesuvio was busy catering to the tour group crowd. Most of which where older people. They were so busy catering to these groups of people that I think the individual hotel stayer got a little ignored. WiFi was really only accessible in the lobby but it was a 5.00 euro one time charge. The had good shuttle service down the hill to town. If you miss the bus it is at least 25 euro cab ride back. The staff was not memorable but the breakfast was okay. They serve buffet style. If you are a coffee drinker it takes a long time to get a second cup as they are busy with the guest who came with a tour group.
Nice room, fantastic view, pleasant staff and very very relaxing. Breakfast selection a bit limited for a hotel of this general high standard
The room was good size with balcony and fantastic view of the sea. The front desk staff very helpful. The hotel shuttle to town and back was convenient and very much on time. The dinning room staff (we only had breakfasts there) were rude and not attentive. Every guest had the same complain.
The views and the pool facility was very good. Poor information on the excursions, local exhibitions etc..Were misdirected to pick up point for the hotel bus so got a lift on another hotel's bus-presidente. Needs to be more bus contact with the centre of Sorrento in the late afternoon-many of us walked and the last section is dangerous-no pavement. Because of this would book again with a hotel within Sorrento.
The hotel staff was extremly attentive & helpful , the shuttle service to d/t Sorrento was punctual. The walls are quite thin & you can hear you your neighbours taking a bathq/shower
great location, rooms not so good, very old fashion but staff very friendly.the pool was great. the rooms were old and just very quite .not much to do apart from pool. restaurant not that great .
pool , bus to town , staff breakfast limited in choice
Fantastic room and views from the hotel terrace. Good location away from the town and excellent free bus service. Lovely clean hotel Entertainment only geared towards the older generation. Livelier music and bar around the pool area would have seriously improved our stay and for the other thirty somethings staying in the hotel. A less formal evening meal option by the pool restaurant would have tempted us to eat there. Lunchime options were excellent.
Excellent pool, good size rooms, helpful staff. Breakfast was poor and exactly the same each day.
The sea view is good, though it is a fair distance from the coast. The food in the hotel is not at all good.
The location was magnificent. It didn't seem like a five star hotel based on the rooms and facility. The location and service were great, but other than that - why is this five star?
The View, which is found anywhere in Sorrento as it on the side of the sea!! Also the bar and its staff were nice enough. Everything, pretty much. Especially the room service, food and room and hotel decor etc...
The nearness to the beach Not really
Great architecture. lovely and well kept parc, very friendly and professional stuff - a place to relax and enjoy!
Great hotel with a wonderful views wish we had more time to enjoy the facilities Too far to walk to centre hotel shuttle should go to the centre instead of half way
The hotel is so beautiful, but I like more the modern style. The hotel seems to be old
Outstanding views, proximity to the main Piazza in Sorrento, lush gardens, and very peaceful. No
Top hotel, e-mailed them beforehand to tell them it was my wedding anniversary. They upgraded me to a superior sea view. there was champagne in the room on arrival. This hotel is 5 star in every way. little touches like robes and slippers are nice also. downsides. it is a 20 minute walk to the town square. the hotel shuttle bus does not run at convenient times for guests. there is however a local bus outside the main entrance that costs only 1 euro. no.
Too far from Sorrento
The location is great! A quick 5 minute walk into town. The images are very misleading. The hotel does not face front to the ocean as shown in the pictures. Also a double bed is 2 beds pushed together. The only great thing about the hotel is its location. Otherwise its just an average hotel.
Great views and people friendly. LOCATION excellent
Location, 5 mins from town centre and convienient for all cultural attractions via local transport which is cheap. Restaurants were plenty and excellent, though a litle expensive. Surprised they had no tea/coffee making facilities in the room though the room did have a well stocked mini bar.
The outstanding view of the bay from almost everywhere in public areas of the hotel. It is just outside the town but a walk of less than five minutes puts you on the main street. Our room (507) smelt a little damp although it appeared to be dry i.e the bedding and our clothes never felt damp. A minor issue and I would certainly use the room again.
the comfort of the room, the delicious breakfast, the suitability of location within Sorrento As afore mentioned, pool hours
Good Pool Area. Great Views over Sorrento. Close proximity to Sorrento town.
The breakfast and the stunning views from the dining room were the higlights for us. Even the garden bedrooms were a good size and well furnished and equipped. We thought the choice available on the television packages were excellent for allowing us to relax in our room when the weather did not alow us to venture outside. The food in the restaurant in the evening was good but we felt the price precluded regular utilisiation. Also, the lack of tea and coffee facilities in the room was a source of consternation for us being big tea drinkers.
good location, efficient checkin etc, very well maintained throughout The reception staff all seemed very abrupt and direct, all other staff were much more helpful, and polite
Staff, food No Gym
Fantastic view of coast and Sorrento from a spacious and elegant room.
The breakfast was very good, lots of variety and plenty. Some of the staff were not very welcoming and friendly.
The hotel was placed very well for Train station, bus station the town and a sea view - boats/ferries were also close by. The hotel staff were amazing and so friendly - hotel fsacilities excellent - I would strongly recomment this hotel
location, value for money, views from rooftop terrace
This is a special place offering extremly good value for money although perhaps initially out of some budgets I would recommend spending the extra cash. The room was outstanding with a magnificant view of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. They did not over charge for extras drinks etc. The staff are very friendly and curtious may only complaint is that I could not stay longer! I would however not recommend the hotel for young children as it is not really set up to cater for them compared to some. Nothing
The Lobby and outside area is nice. The rooms smelled like moth balls. Very noisy, we changed hotels after our first night. The staff did not go out of their way to help us.
Close to Sorrento town centre Number of extras that needed to be paid for, i.e. wireless internet
Clean, well-designed layout, excellent breakfast, very good location - short walk from train station and into town- good view from the balcony, and very helpful and gracious staff. The in-room safe required a separate key from the desk, but it still did not work.
very friendly helpful staff
very nice property. we were able to walk to many things of interest.
We liked the size of the room and the sea view from our balcony. No complaints.
On the far end of the main street of Sorrento. Main train/bus station 15 mins walk. Port 15-20 mins walk. Lobby and common spaces are rather cute. Our rooms were rather dark. Noise from other rooms. Breakfast included in price but quality is below average. No WLAN in rooms, but available in the lobby. No printing facility. Water pressure problems. They tried to charge more than was agreed at booking, but then admitted their fault.
The front desk staff was courteous and helpful. We were in the hotel for a week, and in that time there was no variance in the breakfast buffet at any time. The buffet staff were courteous, and didn't smile at any time. Although advertised as Air Conditioned rooms, the air conditioning had been turned off for the season in spite of warm, sunny days.
nice room, small but serviceable bathroom with shower, restaurant open until midnight, helpful staff, good buffet breakfast included pay 10 euros per night for parking, too far to walk to center so pay 15-20 euros for taxi
Nothing It was one of the worse hotels we stayed at
We loved the hotel. The rooms were clean, it was in a fabulous location, and the breakfast was excellent. It was definitely worth the money to stay there. The staff. At the front desk they were very rude every time we walked in to get our key (except for the night guy, he was very pleasant!). When we requested to stay an extra day we were told it was no problem, and then we were questioned by the same person as to why we were not leaving on our initial proposed day. The staff at breakfast were difficult... our last morning took 25 minutes of trying to get their attention before someone finally asked us if we wanted coffee. The hotel was great but don't expect friendly or prepared staff!
The friendliness of all the staff - they were wonderful;!! Could not fault anything.
We found this hotel to be very comfortable clean and a great location.Staff were pleasant and very helpful. breakfast could be improved a little.
Great location, near to center, yet at the quiet edge of town. Very close to the only gluten free restaurant in town. A short walk to the ferries that go to Capri. Great view to the sea. Great with private parking. A bit expensive for wifi use. No minibars in room
Close to the town center.
Great location to all that was needed for touring, lovely clean and modern hotel, breakfast was great. Friendly and helpful staff
The friendliness and courtesy of all staff, wonderfully comfortable and spotlessly clean rooms, excellent food. The hotel website states that all standard double rooms have a balcony with a view of the beautiful gardens. However, the view from both our room and our friends' were of a brick wall and someone's washing line. This was the only complaint we had and, as we did not spend very much time in our rooms, did not bother us. However, for someone staying at the hotel for a longer period who might perhaps want to sit on the balcony and enjoy the view, it would certainly have spoilt it for them so they should really change what is stated on their website as it is obviously not accurate for all rooms.
Nice hotel with excellent value for the money. Enjoyed breakfast and drinks on the roof top.
The hotel is very clean with lovely rooms and is in an excellent location for getting around Sorrento. The lack of WiFi in the rooms and the only English language TV station is a news channel.
The rooftop pool had fantastic views and the bar was beautifully furnished. The staff were helpful and friendly. There was noise of running water from the walls at times.
The Grand Hotel La Favorita is simply an amazing hotel. Everything about it exceeded my expectations. I came to stay for my sisters wedding in sorrento and my stay at the hotel made the trip fantastic. The decor in the hotel is beautiful, the roof top pool and views are just fantastic. The rooms are large, bright and extremely clean. The breakfast is fantastic and last but not least the staff really are brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble to them and they make an effort to interact with the guests and go out of their way to make your stay unforgetable. This hotel should be a 5 star. I would recommend it to anyone and will certainly be returning myself in the future. Thanks to all at the hotel.
Excellent Hotel, centerally located in Sorrento, everything associated with the Hotel is of a very high standard, including breakfast and the staff.
Very elegant hotel, delicious buffet breakfast & attentive staff not one complaint - perfect!!
Very nicely appointed hotel, comfortable and good quality. Public square outside hotel attracts young folk until early hours of the morning. Noisy motor scooters, same all over Italy?
We had a lovely time at Hotel Continental. Porters helped us with our bags, and we were upgraded free of charge to a room with a balcony looking over the bay and with a wonderful view of Vesuvius. We could easily walk to everything, and just down the road is the ferry to Capri. The pool was also huge and luxurious, I had to brush olives from an overhanging tree off the deckchairs to lie by the pool. Ahh!!! that's the life, while waiters wander around taking orders for drinks and snacks. Fantastico!
The hotel has a huge pool. Rooms were kept spotless. Good location off of main area with only a 5-10 minute walk away to everything. What made this hotel great however was the staff. From day one they were calling us by name. They were always pleasant and helpful with anything we needed. This was the first of four hotels we stayed at on our trip. I wish it was the last because then we would have saved the best for last. No other hotel's staff compared to this one.
Fabulous hotel with very friendly and helpful staff, facilities, location and standard of accommodation were excellent. The local bars and shops offer a good choice. Nothing
We did not eat at the hotel but had room service and all items were good with generous portions ( a thing becoming increasingly rare in Italy, unfortunately The lounge area was a little tired and would greatly improve the general atmosphere and overall impression if it could be refurbished
The staff were wonderful... friendly, very helpful, kind and customer focused. The location of the hotel is fantastic - beautiful views across the bay of Naples, very little traffic noise, a small park just outside the front yet a stones through from the main town centre, shops and restaurants. The room was lovely but the bed and pillows were very hard and would be uncomfortable if you're a bit stiff and achey like me. Also the sound proofing between the rooms was not brilliant We could hear next doors' conversations and TV. The gym could be a great asset as the room layout is very good but unfortunately much of the equipment needed replacement or refurbishment and the weight bars were the wrong size for the bench press bench which is a basic error. So with no additional cost of equipment but more maintenance and more thought this could have been an excellent facility. Finally the quality of the breakfast was a bit "iffy" for the quality of hotel and this put us off trying the restaurant in the evening and we ate out all the time.
Perfect location and comfortable The smallest and old TV set I've seen last years. Shower was broken and very old
execeptional customer service.....such a good experience!!! It's location. each night after 7pm the police close off the only street you can drive through to the hotel. To get to the hotel you'll have to pay 1 euro to get past the police.... location is only bad if you rent a car and drive.
An excellent location in the centre of Sorrento. The views of Vesuvius are probably the best on the Sorrentine peninsula. A quiet part of town, excellent service, friendly staff make this hotel a good choice. Honestly, nothing. It is an excellent hotel. My daughter would have liked free internet access, but apart from that nothing.
The staff at the Hotel Continental were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Even when I dropped my tweezers of the third floor balcony, the staff happily retrieved them for me! All the staff seemed to speak an infinite number of languages and the waiters in the Dining Room were friendly, polite and provided excellent customer service. There was nothing that I did not like about my stay at the Hotel Continental. it was a lovely hotel which provided excellent value for money.
The hotel is really new and opened since few days. Is visible that organization must be improved. Anyway the hotel is really in the center of Sorrento. The hotel has not car parking. Anyway at only few meters there is a public car parking but the price per day is 20 euro.
Staff is excellent only one key
Nice style, very nice position. The staff are always been kind and the service is nice. Walls are so thin you really hear anything is happening not only in the halls but in any other room.
Excellent place to stay. Staff were very pleasant and efficient. Room was nice. Breakfast buffet was outstanding. Conveniently located to main town and train. Would stay again..
The hotel is very clean and modern. The staff were very friendly and accommodated any requests we had, especially car parking facilities. Breakfast buffet was the usual but the staff and the coffee were excellent. The hotel is central to Sorrento making it easy to access all the local facilities. The only problem i had with this hotel was the pool. It was a roof top pool which meant it was very small. But this would not put me off going back again.
Great location in center of town, comfortable modern rooms, and attentive staff make the Hotel Plaza an excellent choice in Sorrento.
The decoration is very modern and new. The staff nice and the breakfast very good.
Arrived in Sorrento for a short break with my boyfriend.Hotel in great location, less than 5 mins walk from main square, beach etc.Hotel extremely clean and fresh, rooftop solarium with great views.Breakfast had great variety and very helpful staff throughout regarding local services and amenities. Will definitely return to Sorrento and would definitely stay at Hotel Plaza again.
Well located, close to shops & resaurants. See-through elevator. Wide range breakfast choice, well-serviced. WiFi required re-entry of username and password when session was paused for a short time.
The location of the hotel was central to shops and restaurants. We also liked the convenience of a car park and friendly, helpful staff.
Very nice hotel, wonderful location, Very good breakfast and very clean. We loved everything
Hotel is very beautifully decorated, all floors are marble, and has great open spaces and sitting areas to enjoy. The back of hotel (really front) is on the bluff overlooking the water and has a huge swimming pool. It was too late in the season for us to enjoy but I'm sure it would be wonderful in the summertime. Also, there are grapefruit and oranges growing on the rear grounds where you can wander and stroll through all the lovely flowers and trees. It is a wonderful location, right downtown in Sorrento within a 5 minute walk from shopping and dining. I highly recommend this hotel.
Very conveniently located to the train station and the town centre (about 5 min walk each). Stunning views over Bay of Naples. Broad range of food for breakfast. Plenty of fresh fruit. Breakfast dishes not cleared from table till after we left.
2nd time staying in this beautiful hotel, loved it. Very clean, staff are great and very helpful and best breakfast.
The graciousness of the manager of the hotel. Everyone tried to make you feel at home. We had no dislikes.
The hotel has an excellent location Hotel would benefit from a gym and a spa partiularly in times of poor weather
Very good location for Sorrento town centre and the railway station. Pleasant views over the Bay of Naples.
one of the best hotels we have ever visited.wonderful location superb view very comfortable . and charming staff.. no criticism whatever
Excellent view and quiet. Breakfast is also good. Car park is important none
view from balcony was super no
Nice location Very poor staff / very expensive given quality of room and facilities (i.e. no business center)
hotel staff and location
Beautiful hotel with magnificent views of Gulf of Naples
This hotel was the highlight of our trip. Our deluxe room with sea view was unbelievable. It was a good location to take the boat to Capri, Naples, etc. Beautiful gardens, fantastic staff, would stay there again and only there. We have no complains as it was fantastic
location, views from hotel. dining room
We liked the de luxe room we had overlooking the Bay of Naples. It was very comfortable and we had wonderful views of the bay.Breakfasts in the beautiful restaurant were excellent. No complaints.
the view, food, history, staff, Full breakfast, Great location bed was a little soft for me
Excellent staff at the front desk, very helpful. Amazing views from balcony and restaurant with excellent food as well. Bed could be more comfortable.
Wonderful Views, great location, beautiful grounds/gardens. Expensive, Bedding and towels were average quality, Although nice with a great view, the room was not has luxurious as some other hotels we stayed at in the price range.
Courtesy of the staff - particularly concierge. No language problems and internet access to room good Bathroom in room looked a bit tired and sliding door not a good idea.
Service and friendy staff Initial room was lacking a balcony but we were moved the next day to a suitable room as reserved.
Hotel very central, lovely pool, food average
the nice welcome of the stuff
The staff is great!
beautiful hotel location, misrepresented services.
The staff were great and offered us a free upgrade. The hotel was fantastically located just outside Sorrento in the hills in a very quiet location The breakfast selection was not great unless you got there early
Hotel has a very nice view over the bay of Sorrento; rooms and services offered are mid standards; staff helpful Very much out of the city; there is nothing around the hotel; even to buy water you have to go down to city; hotel tried to solve this problem by shuttle services. Shuttle leaves to and from the city center three times in the morning and three times in the evening; it is free of charge and the driver is kind; however it takes 20-30 minutes and the road has a lot of curves as the hotel is up on the hill.
It was away from the tourist spots in Sorrento. Would highly recommend renting a car. Room was a bit victorian/old looking.
The staff were very nice and kindley and helped us in everyway they could if we asked them for, and the room was lovley and very clean.
Nice hotel, perfect location, splendid view, excellent and professional staff, breakfast with fresh orange juice, pancakes and spumante. If you want to feel realy comfortable, don´t hesitate to choose this hotel. Absolutely no.
The service is excellent no
The views fom our terace were spectacular, hotel staff were excellant No restaurent in hotel which would hav been nice for lunch but breakfast was great and when we asked about lunch they did offer to make sandwiches
The Hotel was faultless in every way. I would not hesitate to recommend it to any of my friends. The staff were helpful and charming and the Hotel position perfect, did not want to leave. Peter Franklin Nothing at all
size of room. treatment by hotel staff. quality of breakfest. location,
The hotel staff were all friendly and helpful. The hotel is lovely and location is very close to the centre of the city with a beautiful sea view. It is really a pleasant hotel to stay.
It was a great location with fantastic view. The room was tastefully done with modern amenities. The staff were helpful and we would stay there again.
Location, and general satisfaction. A Little inflexible - re seating of a wedding party. and the resident pianist -good - but not very accomodating
Service, decor, location and views make this one of the most memorable and pleasurable hotels we have ever stayed in. Art work is amazing and obviously took a lot of time and consideration as everything is perfectly styled.
Absolutely everything about this hotel was stunning - the location, the design, the room, the food in the restaurant and the spa was great too. Nothing at all - I loved everything
excellent breakfast nice room and decoration
This beautiful hotel rivals any 5-star hotel that I have ever stayed at. It was beautiful, immaculate, romantic, and peaceful. The location was incredible. The views from everywhere...stunning. We will return and will recommend this gorgeous hotel to everyone we know.
refreshment was good. lounge was comfortable and I like the pianist who perform the music from 1930-2300. no bottle of complimentary water in the room.
the views and the hotel it self decor
the location and the pleasant outdoor breakfast area the colour and pattern of the floor tiles in the room!!!!!!!!
The six days we stayed we had excellent service from the management and staff .The location is central. Can not wait to return.
The hotel staff were very helpful in recommending places to visit and eat, and arranged for transportation. Their friendly attitude made it feel like home. Breakfast was great. paying for internet in the lobby - but if you bring your own laptop it's free.
Very pleasant hotel, centrally located, loved the use of local ceramic tiles. Slight problem with lighting: light at entrance to room malfunctioned and lamp shades were old and actually fell apart.
great location within walking distance of the harbour and town. Lovely rooms and pool and garden area, great breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. uncomfortable pillows
great location to visit Sorrento,Capri,Pompei. Shopping and dining in the narrow street of historic just a short walk from hotel. Hotel staff very helpfull.Great experience.
Close to everything! Rooms are clean & small.
location to downtown ,easy walk large cement beam in the middle of the roomfrom floor to ceiling
Great, friendly and very helpful staff, beautiful setting right in the town center. Room was very classy though quite small for us. Not much to do with kids in November.
Very relaxing atmosphere. Hotel staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Ammenities on premesis were fantastic.
Location is excellent, specially in small city as Sorrento , The hotel is very nice with rich breakfast. service in the lobby, parking and breakfast is very good. The internet connection is free only in the lobby and the quality is very poor.
We loved our stay at this beautiful hotel! Our room was perfect, with nice furniture and plenty of room in the closet. The hand painted tiles in the floor made it so cheerful and unique. Michelle from Reservations was extremely helpful in giving us information on how to travel from Naples by train and on how to find the hotel once that we arrived in Sorrento. Mario and Pepe at the Reception were always helpful and happy to provide us with all the necessary information to visit Capri and Sorrento. The outdoor pool is located in a very nice setting, surrounded by flowers. The same with the breakfast area. Great food. We would be very happy to come here again and stay again at this beautiful Hotel. Nothing, we loved everything there!
The hotel is in located in a spectacular spot - built into the cliff face overlooking Naples bay and Mount Vesuvius. The only criticism was of the front desk staff, who were a little rude at times. All other staff were very helpful and friendly.
The staff, especially Giovanni & Associates were outstanding. The maid service The ants were out of control. Before guests arrive and at least every other day, each room should be routinely sprayed for control. Also, gustes should be informed about not leaving any type of open food laying around. Bedding (sheets, pillow cases, and outer blaket if soiled) need to be changed daily without asking. Soaps and shampoo should be readily available and replenished daily.
Sea view - good bfast and good staff Initial room very disappointing
the excellent and discreet service from the reception staff. The service and food we received on the platform at the beach was extremely good. The breakfast buffet was not to as a high standard as i thought it should have been for a hotel of this kind.
The hotel and the grounds were beautiful. It had agreat gardens and a view of Naple Bay was perfect. If you had a room on the street side it was very noisey. Also they do not start the air condition and beach acess till May.
The location and the staff
The location, with seaview, is excellent. The room was comfortable, except for the pillow which was a bit thin for my liking. Breakfast was satisfying. On the whole, the hotel had a very comfortable feeling. At such rates, Wi-Fi should be free.
Each member of staff was highly attentive. Beautiful reception rooms. Breathtaking views. Very comfortable rooms with sea views. Very good quality food. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in bedrooms. There was no iron and/or ironing board in bedrooms.
We enjoyed the many views of the sea from the hotel gardens. Sorrento was more pleasurable because of this grand hotel.
Absolutely spotless, pleasant staff, views outstanding, location brilliant, food tasty, No tea & coffee making facilities in room.
The position on the clifftop with the view across to Naples were fabulous. The room was wonderful, both with regards to size and quality of furnishings - luxurious. The breakfast staff were not always helpful with our requests. The food also was not to the expected standard.
Ambiance of the hotel, knowledge of staff, food and wine knowledge of maitre d' in restaurant, outlook from our room and restaurant was magnificent Nothing
The hotel key advantage is it's excellent location in the middle of Sorento. The walls are extremely thin, and you can hear whatever is going on in the next room.
Fabulous location, wonderful views, excellent service
It was very central. Showers were fantastic. Lovely breakfast Lift to beach closed.
View and location
lovely hotel ,good position shame about some of the rude staff
The views were exceptional as were the rooms, staff was wonderful and very courteous. The only negative was the fact that the lift to the beach was not operating. It would be better to keep it going through October.
The views were amazing The bar and food prices but I suppose hotels are always expensive to eat and drink in
The room was very good and the staff helpful at all times. The hotel has had some recent redecoration and was very attractive in the respect. Gardens were lovely as was the pool area When we visited in April there was only an a la carte menu. This was expensive so we chose to eat in the restaurants in the town instead.
Lovely views from the terraces, hotel was a short walk into town, bar staff very freindly and room was lovely and clean and always offereing fresh towels. Would stay here again Even though breakfast was very good, didnt like queing to get a table in the morning, and when I got up from the table someone was sitting in my seat when I cam back from the buffett.
The hotel was fine and so was the room except for the room's outlook - it was described as a 'standard room with garden view' in fact it really had no view at all, looking out over the goods entrance onto a wall. Location was a little bit out of the centre
It has magnificent views over the Bay of Naples towards Vesuvius and a superb pool. Great indoor pool close to the spa. Quite a walk into the historical centre of Sorrento with an irregular bus service. We found the rooms incredibly noisy - the doors to the corridors are not sufficiently well insulated to stop sound from the corridor or the lift foyer. Late night revellers and cleaners became an annoyance. The doors also banged shut loudly and door closers would definitely help. We would recommend adding an additional door to the rooms beyond the bathroom and possibly double doors to the lift foyer
The location was good, the view was spectacular from the 7 floor ,the breakfast was excellent and service was great.
Swimming pool, brekfast, staff at reception.Family room is a very good size. we saw a worm the first day and we called them and they came and sprayed a medicine.
The pool, the kids club, lounge bar, the food - all was very good. The room was very large and had excellent air conditioning.
large spaces, staff very friendly and helpful, excellent outdoor pool, wide choice for breakfast crowded for late breakfast
Swimming pools and the view and the breakfast
Clean rooms, most comfortable bed in Italy (that's saying a lot). Pool area was huge - free breakfast was great, staff was professional and very helpful, there was free parking across the street. It was also close enough to the town, but far enough that it wasn't too noisy. This has nothing to with the hotel, but there were a lot of families there. A lot of screaming kids and a lot of splashing in the pool. This hotel is not an adult experience.
Breakfast excellent. Staff friendly and attentive. No real wardrobes in room and few drawers. Children and teenagers dominated the pool area and no staff supervision of the use of balls ans other items in the pool.
More informations about excursions
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. Noisy street outside hotel. No refreshments available before 3pm daily. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Noisy plumbing!
Great location - easy walk to the town center. Nice sized European room very stingy with ice - unlike the 5 other European hotels we stayed at
Very good situation! Near to all. Breakfast with sea view is very nice! Some towels are not clean. The man in reception is not very nice. But Fatima is very professinal, thanks for your info.
Staff were fantastic, spoke fluent english and were very helpful. Location is perfect, short stroll into the main square and same distance the other way to the beach.
This is the second year running that I have stayed here at this hotel and look forward to returning next year. The staff are very pleasant and the hotel has an ideal location,10 minute stroll to the main Piazzo Tasso and 5mins to Marina Grande. The breakfast was pretty basic last year, but acceptable, this year there was a bigger selection which was a great improvement. I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel as a clean welcoming place to stay in Sorrento.
It had a large balcony with huge doors. The room was massive. Beautiful view of Bay of Naples. Dinner was not included with our stay but it said it was on the website. Solarium was not open. The pool would have cost $9 euro to use.
Well located hotel close to town with a wonderful view of the sea. Comfortable spacious rooms, even the breakfast room had a brilliant view. The garden was the perfect place for pre-dinner drinks. The location of the hotel is very difficult street to navigate but once we were there the staff parked our car in the hotel carpark where it stayed for the duration of our stay. The drivers in Sorrento are slightly lunatic.
Standart 3* hotel not more Water costs 3 EUR :))
It was a comfrotable room with a spectacualr view of the coast
The lady who checked us in was quite night but she was the only one. It was really dated. Apprently we booked a room with only a bath there is no option for this but even so the bath was so hideous with the covering wearing away & green cleaning product left in the sink hole, you would never use the bath. We complained to the front desk who were not pleased & said we had already been upgraded free of charge & if we wanted a better room we would have to pay, we asked if we could please leave after one night and they refused saying we would be charged even though we were extremely unhappy. The breakfast staff were unhappy in the mornings and you felt like you were an inconvenience to them, we asked to take our car out of the garage the next day and the man removing had a tantrum as it was parked in. very bad.
Room 3 was amazing. The terrace had amazing views. Staff were attentive and willing to provide ice to chill our wine purchased outside of the hotel. A great location to take in the views of Sorrento. Private beach was a bonus and the hotel reserved sunbeds in a primary location. The view was great from the restaurant but the food didn't match it. Breakfast was great though.
The views were spectacular and the outside dining terrace was lovely. A long hilly walk to the town centre.
Gorgeous facility with incredible views. Our balcony (from room 14) was enormous and lovely. Breakfast was delicious. We loved this hotel! Our room, though immaculate, smelled like cigarette smoke - it was almost like it was infused into the linens.
The location was great, the view from the balcony spectacular, the food first class and the hospitality endearing. The reception was not well informed on the local transport arrangements. But we quickly worked these out.
Very lovely views. , All Sorrento coast and the Vesubio. OK the little private beach, as in Sorrento there aren´t many beaches. Lots of towels in the bathroom.I suppose some rooms are lovely rooms. Poor breakfast. Room 7 (classic room) is dark, no balcony, no views, no place to put the beach towel and simming clothes to get them dry. Old bathroom with a little shower whit a curtain. We had ants in our room. Maybe other rooms are beautiful, but we haven´t seen them. I can only talk about the room I was.
Great location overlooking Sorrento in Bay of Naples. Terrace, diningrooms and some bedrooms were on a cliff 200 feet over looking the bay. Terrific. Food was wonderful, fresh fish but the 4 days the menu did not change .If you're homeymooning or want a getaway to sun and relax , this is it. Climb in shower was decidedly odd , I wouldn't like to be old or infirm! I km walk to the town. Couldn't drive as it was impossible to park in Sorrento, public transport sporadic and a taxi is E13 each way!.
Stunning views and wonderful restaurant staff
Great seaside view, friendly stuff, private beach area, rather noisy in the room.
hotel was beautiful, built on a cliff top overlooking Sorrento and Bay of Naples. breakfast surprisingly good for european hotel
Excellent value for the money. Extraodinary views. Very good dinners. Excellent breakfasts. Very helpful and friendly staff. My only recommendation is this: Our room did not have the best view, but it could be improved by removing the small tree in the courtyard in front of our view, and by relocating the TV antenna to another location our of the view.
