Firstly the location was fantastic, 10mins from the airport and 10 min walk from the old town. Our room was beautiful and big with a big balcony over looking the sea. Could'nt fault it.
staff, service, breakfast, location - excellent, by the sea, good shopping, easy to get to railway station, old city, shopping streets by walk
It was right on the beach front and a short walk to the two tour buses for Nice. The staff was very friendly, spoke many languages besides French, room service was excellent and very pleasant. No
our room was facing the mediterrania, so beautiful. it is so close to restaurants in town and shopping.loved going to the casino after dinner. it was so clean and spacious (our room).
Wonderful hotel. Excellent quality and service. Centrally located.
Friendliness and courtesy of staff None
Over all a great experience since arrival, very good complementary high speed wireless internet , great breakfast and wonderful bath and shower along with quality interior, worth every cent.
The majority of your staff could speak english very well. and they were always very friendly and professional particularily Olivier the concierge
Large spacious room, robes, slippers, fabulous bath There was no blackout curtain... Luckily I brought an eye mask!
Location close to the sea front The Pool was very small and the sunning area was very small and could only take a small number of sunbathers - we had to instead use the private beach which cost 34 Euros
convenience to activities and shopping Bedroom carpets not properly hoovered, air con.not perceptily effective.
Good location, walking distance to beach and down town.Excellent staff and service.
The receptionists were very friendly and helpful. Room was tidy and clean, with good facilities (coffee, ironing). It was good to have jalousie, you can sleep til midday :) There was no free internet access. Parking-lot is extremely small and quite expensive. The interior needs an update. Bubble bath was not working. The swimming-pool was a little bit disappointing.
not enough english tv channels
The hotel staff were very accomodating, and the location was ideal. Comparatively speaking, it was a good value.
the location was very good and our room was good apart from a very small shower cubicle
good weather, good location 4 blocks to the beach The Spå was broken, the pool was very cold, the discount to use their beach facitilies was not enough to make it worth it.
staff were very friendly and quick to respond to any problems. Hotel very clean The 7th Floor rooms are just below the restuarant, pool and Bar, noise from moving chairs and loud music in the bar does not stop until 01.30 most nights and restuarant chairs and tables are moved about from 06.45. This was the only downside. From 6th floor down this is not a problem. We were offered 3 other rooms to pick from and shown them first. The Deluxe rooms vary quite a bit in size and content, some are excellent, others are too small. It says in the brochure deluxe rooms are bigger, this was not the case in many of the rooms.
Staff failed to clean the room on the 1st day reception had to request a special call out.
The speed with which staff moved to rectify a complaint and accompanied their apology with a bottle of wine. Standard of rooms seemed rather variable as far as maintenance went. I would recommend it but with the proviso that some rooms experienced a lot of traffic noise.
The reception staff were very helpful, the room was comfortable and rooftop sunbathing in October was welcome. One particular member of bar staff was surly and obstructive.
A great family hotel, located right on the beach. Beautiful room, pool and a great breakfast. All hotel rooms have a great view onto the beach. Would stay there again.
the hotel was very central the cleaning service was excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly we stayed in a twin room my bed was very hard and was only a put up bed the room also was very small
Well appointed for conferences at the Acropolis Conference Centre. Breakfast room small when outside area can't be used in the winter.
Good Location, crean room and friendly staff, I really enjoyed staying there.. If I go to Nice again, I will stay there.. But this hotel doesn't have hair dry.. I didn't know that, also nowaday they repaired some part of hotel, so in the morning so noisy...
convenience of the location, staffed 7x24 (not all apartments do that). They have put air conditioning units in all the room so some of the previous comments no longer apply stuffness and smell in the hallway
A good hotel at a reasonable price, a decent location, a tram line nearby, 5 minutes walk to the old town, right across the street from the Convention Centre, 5 minutes to the central bus station, 10 minutes walk to a railway station (Nice-Riquier, not the main station Nice-Ville, the latter nevertheless can be easily reached by tram). The main attractive feature is that the rooms have kitchenettes, which is a great money saver (I failed to find a place to eat in Nice which would charge less than 15 Euro for a simple meal). Monoprix and Carrefour are nearby. The stuff is OK, all speak English to a degree (some speak quite good English in fact). Wi-Fi and air conditioning in rooms. The second-hand smoke from people smoking on balconies!!! Especially at nights!!! The bathroom was really small, but it is quite common in Europe. The extra pillows were provided but only on the 2nd day (the reception does not have them, one needs to ask the cleaning stuff in the morning).
The hotel is nice a clean and surprisingly quiet at night. It is situated right at the Acropolis conference center. Rooms are equipped with modern Air conditioners. Janitors are rather rude and since there is no way to prevent the door from unlocking from the outside expect some surprise guest in your room knocking on your shower asking when you leave so that they can clean.
The staff were helpful and assisted me with directions and advice on getting around Nice. The breakfast is quite poor. The breakfast room is inadequate.
The rooms are very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful Pption for house keeping to extend beyond mornings. I asked for an extra pillow in the night but was told by the staff that they do not keep pillows and I should have asked for it in the morning. Basic amendities like pillows, toothbrushes etc should be kept within the hotel
Nice place, nice staff
Overall style of the hotel and its superb location No parking - in a very busy and complex town
Staff were friendly, the room was spacious and the location was perfect.
Location The noise from the road in a sea view room The breakfast far too expensive
The hotel staff were very nice and provided lots of advice on how to move around, what to visit etc. Room was very clean. There is no carpet and it is all white tile which made it look very bright and clean. The sea view and sunrise in the morning is worth every penny spent. Compared to many of the hotels we visited in France this was the best overall experience.
small bathroom without practical furniture!
Staff was really friendly
The hotel is in a superb position on the seafront, the staff are extremely courteous and efficient. Furnished very well in a beautiful French style and very clean.
Renovated rooms on the 5th floor are fabulous, soundproofing is great. Location is excellent, staff is well trained and friendly.
I like the location the staff very not helpful at all ,had to ask 5 times at breakfast for hot water in order to have tea
Staff most helpful
Location, and the room layout My room was super noisy as it didn't have curtains. Couldn't sleep all night due to people partying outside. Came back to see my card being charged again for the stay even though I have already prepaid. Am disputing this with my credit card company right now.
Modern hotel in a great location for Nice city centre and the beach For the standard and price there were a few minor flaws such as plaster falling off room ceiling, and shower being extremely user unfriendly.
I liked that it has own beach, is located close to most things tourist needs Its very noisy (cant really complain about that cause its good location isn't quiet), having problems with hot water, could have few more hangers
This hotel was excellent as we took a disabled lady and nothing was too much trobule well done to the staff.Joyce Knight
This hotel located in the center of the city, next to sea, shopping, a lot of restaurants. Our room was really small. There was the dust everywhere.
Great location - Staff not always very helpful. One staff member in particular had a very poor command of English and was unable to give simple directions or answer basic questions.
Check in delay and room quality
Location The terrible service. No room service in the night. Every time you ask reception for something - the answer we don't have it. They dont't have umbrellas during the rain, they don't have iron, they don't have food in the night. In the 4* stars hotel :(
Everything was beyond excellence, the hotel, the position, the welcome - everything The staff at the beach club were quite good but one in particular was quite surly.
There is a great breakfast and the lobby is beautiful. It is right across the street from the beach.
-----------nothing to like..........I DO NOT RECOMMEND BEAU RIVAGE... My experience in this hotel:
The staff was friendly and helpful. I really liked the beach-rock themed remodel, especially the beach rocks encased in the floor of the bathroom. (I've been going to the Beau Rivage periodically for 20 years.) The hotel beach is quite nice, and lunch there is really good. The location is perfect, and Le Comptoir Bar next door is great for after dinner drinks and people watching. Not really. On my last night (the night before an early flight) they put me in a room overlooking a tiny urban courtyard (not too picturesque, like somewhere in New York), but we got there late and we had to leave before the sun rose, so it didn't really matter. It wouldn't have been a great room if I was there for a week of beach-going. Also, they took only nonrefundable cash for a spot at the beach, and there was a sea pollution warning that afternoon, and it started raining on us at the beach, so that didn't work out too well.
Location Staff not very helpful. Very slow to deal with guests at reception
Excellent location for shops and beach. Very nice hotel. Room not quite matching external areas of hotel. Overall, very nice hotel. Rooftop restaurant/bar/seating area impressive. Room very average.
Location Poor view from room. No coffee or tea making acilities in the room.
What I liked most about the hotel is that it is very central. You are near the sea and shopping and restaurants are also very close. Probably coming from a country that has a "smoking ban" I felt that the smell in the corridors was quite overpowering, and this was made worse by the fact that air freshner's were used. I feel the hotel needs some freshening up. Breakfast also was delivered incorrectly to us on our first morning. We did not get what we ordered and it was cold.
Location Room size
we were given room 401. We liked it because it was a renovated room with a view of the sea. The bed was very good. Towels were good and the supplies (soap, shower cap, body cream etc...) in the toilet were good.
location excellent, quiet, very good maid service, plenty of towels the tv selection is not for english speakers, the shower did not have hot water all the time and hard to control, bathroom small for so called luxury hotel, no coffee or tea with room, no couch in room, staff was aloof
location, price and atractivness I does not have a pool and the room was small.
The location, and room size. The hotel was very clean. We would have liked 2 chairs in the room. The bar area was basic and lack atmospere, it did not open until 6pm. The roof terrace was closed the whole time we were there.
Location Everything else. Room to small old dirty, poor breakfast, service. My Deluxe room was much small than my friend's superior ?
Third visit to this hotel, very good value for money....better than many 4 star in Nice. Close to trams/trains and easy walking to Old Nice......
Breakfast was excellent. Location was also very good. No drinks served at the bar area.
Room was a comfortable size Breakfast should be included in the price
the big rooms, the seperate door in the hotel room, so your room didn't open straight out on to the corridor. the pool on top of the hotel outside was dirty and cold. the toilet smelled of urine. the showed leaked all over the floor and we had to use our towels to keep mopping the water up.
Good location for the Acropolis convention centre. Roadworks outside the hotel, location on a very busy road. Room was very very basic.
Comfortable rooms. Swimming pool area not so big and only a few beds.
Great staff. Very helpfull. Strange smell in hallway outside the room.
It was clean, comfortable and only one tram station away from Piazza Garibaldi. Good connection to the railway station and very close to the Ligne d'Azur bus ( 1 euro trip to Monaco, Cannes, Menton, Antibe etc). We spent the first night in a standard double room even though we had paid for a superior one, because they were all booked up; that was a little confusing since we had made our reservation and paid for a superior double room three months prior to our arrival... But they change our room the very next day and it was ok.
Comfortable accomodation, location good;
there was only 2 lifts available and one was down. To make matters worse, the hotel was busy. Also there was some roadworks outside the hotel and there was no parking so we had to pay for parking ourselves
We got a good deal for the 'Privileged room' and we were given an upgrade to the next level as it was out of season and they had the ability to offer it to us. Was great to have a large room for a few days. Close to the beach and loads of shopping, restaurants, cafes and the stop for the hop on hop off tour bus. They had all the flyers of tourist things at the counter. Wifi was good. No TV reception for english channels.
Location was good and hotel's decor fun and kitschy. Small room.
Location was excellent I wouldn't say it was 4 star. It was very basic and tatty in parts.
I enjoyed the fact that the hotel was very central with easy access to buses and trains.
Great location, very close to the Messena Place and the old town. Restaurants close by. Rooms are a decent size as far as French hotels go and for once the air conditioning actually worked. Staff spoke English and were helpful. We were only at the hotel for a quick overnight stay and didn't arrive until 9:30 pm so we didnt spend a long time in the hotel. Had breakfast in a cafe in the market.
Location No parking facilities offered to guests, however there is a public parking with preferred rates overnight
Near to the City, clean room Room was very smal
convenient location, not too noisy
We were made very welcome and the Hotel was very well placed for the park and shopping. The view was hardly inspiring.
The availability and efficiency of the staff. The quality of the infra-structure, atmosphere of the hotel and its location. The room bathroom could be equipped with more towel hangers. During breakfast it would be best if the service staff would not start cleaning the room (washing the chairs, etc.) while people are finishing their meal. It disturbs a bit the breakfast experience.
Staff is very friendly, breakfast was excellent, hotel in general (colours, furniture...) Room for breakfast is too small for so many people
The Best Western Roosevelt is a good 3 star hotel in an excellent location in Nice. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Our room was had double but when we requested a room with a larger bed our request was granted immediatly. The buffet breakfast is fresh and plentiful and is served until 10.30. After that there is a supply of coffee and pastries available all day. We received a complimentary bottle of wine and a bottle of water on arrival. A nice touch. The reception staff were extremely helpful and were able to answer all our questions and showed concern when we needed help. The manager/owner was also available to answer any queries and made all his guests feel welcome.. We had no problems with this hotel.
nothing was to much bother for the staff you could hear the the other guests in adjoining rooms
We found the hotel staff very friendly. The location of hotel very central. Area excellant. Short walking distance to tram/bus stops, promenade and old town. Rue Messena/France, bars and restaurants only a few minutes away. The rooms were very clean and the beds very comfortable. The free coffee/tea in the reception area was a bonus. We were stuck in Nice for 4 extra nights due to the pension strikes. The staff were very helpful in accomodating us in extending our stay at our original tariff. One of the better smaller hotels we stayed in.
The hotel is in a good location for sightseeing, the staff are friendly and helpful. It would be nice, if they turned on the heating when it is only 8 degrees in Nice.....
We loved our triple room, which is very hard to find in Europe. We lost our parking pass and were told that we would have to pay a fine of $100 if we couldn't find it in 3-4 days. This seems unfair because we were not infromed that there would be a big penalty like that when we were given the pass.
A+. Location is perfect, but without the critical other 50%, location is worth little. Timed 5 min walk to the sea [emerge between Negresco and the citadel], Albert I gardens; tram stop, Nice Etoile, Monoprix just "up the street;" short walk to bus station, Old City. Re the other 50%: terrific staff [professional, warm, courteous; always helpful]; so very tidy and clean throughout; room good size/attractive/comfortable; fridge, kettle with coffee/tea/biscuits, AC/heat control, "lingere" wash line; plenty of hot water. Free internet in lobby; umbrellas, maps; weather and popular bus routes posted. Am an AM coffee-only person, but heard no complaints about the hotel's breakfast [aromas very nice]. Only regret was leaving. Perfect 10.
Excellent central location - close to everything. Good value for money Lack of a small barl/lounge area
The location was good, it was within easy walking distance from the promenade as well as the station.
location, staff, comfort room was renovated recently, but not the bathroom.
Room was spacious, friendly service and good location. I missed shower curtains.
I didn't stay there Their policy of no refunds despite the fact that I tried to cancel the reservation more than 6 months before the scheduled arrival date
I found the hotel to be very central.
Great location - quite close to train station. Clean hotel and had a room with a balcony overlooking Rue Jean Medicin. Friendly staff. Nothing in particular.
the ubication was excellent, the hotel is modern and the personal was very nice
the friendlyness of the staff at the reception desk The rooms were not cleaned adequately every day, sheets were not changed and soap was not restocked every day. Also, internet access was a rip off pricewise.
best price in offpeak season.
The hotel was very central and most of the staff were excellent. One guy was very rude. We only had one key for a shared room.Could not access the iron in evening before dinner and the receptionist did not do his best for us to get it. he was very abrupt saying they did not have one.The hairdryer was antiquated.very old and useless.need replacing.
The location to the shopping district. I think the decor and carpeting could be updated.
Super helpful staff
staff was friendly no maintenance in the evening.
upon checking in we reported the bed linen being dirty, it was noted and told it can only be tended to the next day, the next day the roomstaff still did not change it. I certainly won't stay at this hotel neither recomend it
The hotel is very well located Staff at the reception could have been more helpful
The ambiance was nice- classic old style .The rooms were big and the view spectacular. Unfortunately the bath tub drain cover was not working so it required a nail file to remove the cover to drain the tub. This was repeated every day of our stay without the staff fixing it! The room was not cleaned on returning in the afternoon and we were told by reception that we had to call for cleaning !The wall tiles had black mould which Is really unacceptable in a hotel of this class.also, our room had chipped paint around doors and peeling wallpaper trim. All in all,This hotel needs revamping. On the plus side, the location is the best in Nice. The staff were very poor in responding to complaints - no apologies ever.My room smelled of mould ,to discover next day that there was a furnace type room opening into my closet, which did not have a door.On complaining ,I was given an excuse instead of an apology. Also, after staying 3 days,I was stopped by a security doorman on entering the lobby ,to question me if I was staying at the hotel. Very very upsetting and again ,after telling him yes ,no apology. Good staff should know the guests and be carful before causing an embarrassing moment. The service at breakfast was very poor and the buffet layout difficult to manage due to the tightness of the restaurant.
Wonderful wonderful staff and location location location. The rooms were well appointed and in a style that suited the hotel. The balcony was a great place to get a lovely view of the sea. The rooms were larger then most European hotel rooms and air conditioned which made it very comfortable in the August heat. The public areas and dining rooms were very comfortable and charming. Good business center with easy access. The carpet in the halls made it hard to move luggage around and did not fit the period and style of the hotel. Some of the art didn't suit the hotel ambiance. The carpet in our room was very worn and old. The bathroom had chipped sharp tiles and had not been updated which was a little disappointing for the price point. We were also disappointed that no one informed of the beach facilities available.
Very helpful staff; they even said "Have a nice stay" in my language that was amazing! Excellent localtion; place full of arts. You have a feeling that you stay in a museum but you really like it! Just spledid! Nothing, just perfect place.
Perfect location, nice sea views, really interesting interiors. Some service points, at the reseption and consierge points.
Good taste and comfort all over + restaurant Chatecler - the best I ever experienced food/wines and ambiance. Nope.
Bad brekfast? bad plage, bad service, wery high preis - but only in this year
the interior of the hotel is exelent, very historical! The restoran is also very doog! Service of the reception and also reception manager was full boor. We planed to stay 21 day- and changed the hotel to another one on the 2 day of our stay!!!
Staff were fabulous. Hotel is a superb alternative place to stay quirkiness of some rooms makes them slightly impractical. might be helpful to make clear this is not a good choice if you are travelling with children
No coments!!! Everything was perfect!!! The breakfast was too poor and during our holliday without changes !!!
Organic Breakfast and internet access Room was too small therefor not functional with a bath tube in the middle of the room
the bed was very comfortable, the shower area was exceptional and the organic breakfast was good the unfortunate size of the room - too small the choice of music at breakfast was not condusive to the effective recovery of a hangover
Friendly hotel staff The in-room toilet
The steam room in the hotel was quite nice. But for the rest this is the worst hotel that i have ever been in. Everything about the hotel is horrible. The design of the room is extremely uncomfortable. The toilet is right in the middle of the room with no doors (and its a bouble room). So is the shower. You are right there on display. You have no drawrers to put yous clothes in. So your stuff just lays around on the floor. There are no hooks for the towels so they are right there on the floor as well. No mini bar. No room service. And the price for the room is just unreasonable. They called it the new luxury. Thanks. Id rather stick with the old one.
It was unique in comparison to other hotels. Staff were very helpful and dedicated to serving their customers needs. Overall an excellent experience. The main point would be the exposed toilet in our room, as we found our main problem was having to go downstairs to the public toilet!
Very charming and professional staff at hotel - sadly not on private beach!
Excellent service, modern design and very comfortable beds. The design of the rooms looked impressive however was not always 100% practical. There is limited privacy whilst using the bathroom and it's quite noisy so difficult not to wake a friend / partner when using bathroom at night. Also a shelf positioned on top of sink makes it very hard to wash your face without hitting your head!
Very lovely beautiful hotel. nice terrase and 5 min nto the beach, the beach is elegant and relaxing.
Across the street from the beach, fairly good location with free internet. Excellent refurbished bathrooms. Staff was very friendly, particularly the bellman. Pictures on the hotel site do not match rthe ooms - stained rugs, old looking furniture, very hard beds and rough linens do make it a newly renovated room except for the wonderful bathrooms. However the size was perfect for two people and the rooms were clean.
Fabulous location and views, excellent access to old city
nice view, good breakfast and restaurant
The friendly and helpful staff and the fact that it was so near to the bay No
the location was ideal, the hotel very comfortable. In short, we were very satisfied.
Interior and seaview, helpful receptionist Poor breakfast, leaking ceiling
It was right on the Esplanade D'Anglaise and very well located for everything.
Very friendly helpfull staff
A spacious bedroom & bathroom A little strange there was not shower curtain or door in the bathroom
close proximity of sea and shops/restaurants. grandeur of a hotel with history and tradition.
close to train station, reasonable price, walkable distance to many sight-seeing points... cramped washrooms...
I like the garden and the exterior architecture. I appreciate that the manager made me a small discount for not having air conditioning in the last day of the sejour. The staff promised three times they will provide me parking place with no result. No one of the receptionist was able to explain me how is the wireless internet working. The breakfast is very poor for the money you pay.
It is a good hotel and the proximity to the rail station is its strong point. Not very far from the promenade too.
very close to the train station, quick 5-10 min walk to the beach breakfast was horrible, the room was tiny and the reception staff not overly helpful. they charge extra to secure your belongings in a safe and extra to store your luggage after checkout
Very pleasant and friendly staff at the frontdesk. They provided maps and info about the city when we checked in. None.
proximity to train station difficult street access; lack of nearby parking
friendly & helpfull staff. & 200m from main rail station & airport bus stop. no
No Free wifi
Convenience to the City and the rail station. NA
The location was perfect, right around the corner of the mainshopping street. Rooms were very French romantic, though could do with some polishing. Normal price is 200 a night, via booking only 60.
The roof-top terrace was a very relaxing area to sit. Also the conference meals and events were well organised. I found my bed too hard and the pillows too soft for my taste.
Staff I asked for a non smoking room. Our room smelt very bad of smoking. My wife is allergic to smoke.
Staff and the room how ever we could not get a smoking room
nice and clean hotel, pro staff expensive rooms, very expensive food, services, minibar etc. - not good value for the money. Besides, the hotel is quite far from the city centre (ca. 30 min walking)
Overall nice hotel, very good facilities and friendly staff The colours of the furniture in my room at 3rd floor was not very pleasant, the floor of the bathroom was with noizy tiles and the air conditioned had no functioned properly
Very nice stay. The view was beautiful. The personnel was courteous.Good food at Bleu Citron.
Nice staff, clean and quite. Hmmm, a bit far from city, but bus is available!pillows could have been better
Standard of service. Having to pay for sun lounger.
Room and sea view was excellent. Both the breakfast outside seating and to a lesser extend the roof top restaurant were extremely unhealthy. the breakfast outside area has many dozens of pigeons everywhere, tables, sunbrellas and outer walls were full of pigeons.
roof top swimming pool, serviced very well by public bus service, complimentary bus service offered by hotel, opposite beach double beds do not exist, have to request that two singles be made up as double.,use of beds at rooftop pool had an extra charge!!!!!!!!!
The swimming pool. Friendliness of the staff. The room was very comfortable. Prices for sunbed and towels are too expensive even when using the hotel swimming pool.
Room facilities was excellent, the pool area was lovely and the room service was very good. Two out of three concierge staff weren't particularly friendly, while one of them was excellent.
Staff were helpful and polite. Breakfast was very good. Beds were comfortable. Availability of computer in the lobby for internet use was very helpful for re-booking flights and trains given the train/plane cancellations caused by the strikes. Meant we didnt have to go out and search for an internet cafe to access the net. Not everyone carries a laptop/ I pad with them so having a computer to access on site was very useful! The superior rooms were clean and comfortable but small. Could possibly be improved in terms of being re-decorated. Re decorating would render the rooms I stayed in more asthetically pleasing. Also sometimes the rooms were too warm at night. Air conditioning is too noisy when its put on as is leaving a window open. This is a general problem with most hotels, not just the Mercure!
The staff were very pleasant and helpful, breakfasts were good and breakfast staff were excellent, they couldn't do too much for you. Rooms were clean. Ideal for shopping and business alike. Sparse room amenities. Poor decor in bathroom
the location is good, close to shopping area, old Nice, public transportation very small sized rooms with old decor and furniture, unfriendly staff, no minibar
Location. Excellent breakfast. Good size room. No towel racks in bathroom. Portable fridge to use dumped in a corner on the floor. Plenty of coffee and tea but only two nimbles of latte.
Kept clean and reception staff friendly and helpful
The hotel is decent for a three-star. We chose this hotel because it was pet-friendly. The room was decent if a bit drab and the location was good. We found the front desk people extremely unfriendly and unhelpful, which was a damper on our whole experience. With many hotels in Nice, one should consider others in the area.
Location great just two minutes from main restaurants, yet in a quiet street. Friendly and excellent quality and cleanliness. All in all a great stay and would definitely go back or recommend it. Tea and coffee facilities would be good
The location was perfect great resteraunts nearby
The vicinity to the beach. The hotel couldn't accept credit cards because their machine wasn't working. We had to pay by cash for 6 nights (which came out of our holiday spending money), the annoying part, however, was that we weren't advised until we were checking out, so it was very inconvenient. Also, there was no mini bar in the room (fridge especially) so we couldn't keep our own drinks cool.
Good Location, Helpful staff, Comfortable Hotel Bad odour coming from the sink tap.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was conveniently located next to shopping area and close to transport for the airport.
Great location - less than 10mins walk to main train station. Supermarkets and bakeries close by. Not that far to walk to the old town either. Tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms.
the location is strategic, good set-up, excellent breakfast offer. we had pleasant stay there. definitely a serious consideration whenever we visit Nice again in the future
Staff helpfulness and courtesy n/a
large rooms, enough space and clean nothing
We found the staff in both the reception and 8th floor bar extremely helpful, friendly and very smiling (a characteristic not previously noted at many French Hotels). We had to make a number of reservations (other hotelsd, golf clubs, business meeting, taxis and hotels and the reception staff simply said ''leave it to us'' Upon return to the hotel everything was perfectly arranged. The 8th floor bar has a good selection of drinks. .I would definitely recommend this hotel and will personally stay there agin on my next trip to nice nice. I I had any negative comments I would say that in the 8th floor bar they could have more selection of snacks and serve them at all hours
Staff very friendly and keen to help Safe area Convient to Train station (5 - 10 minute walk)
walking distance to shopping area and beach
The breakfast was very good with lots of variety, it has good location, short walk from the train station and right in the middle of a shopping street. We were quite disappointed with our room, it is very old-fashioned and we had a small tv. It looks very different to the pictures they presented on the website, and for the price we paid, we expected a better room. The pool on the roof top was nice, but it was too cold to swim even with 25 degrees weather, would be better if it is heated.
Friendly reception staff. Excellent location
clean, comfortable beds, friendly and helpful staff, excellent location
the location of the hotel was convenient to both the train station and old town. the accomodations were fairly typical of that level hotel. the staff was friendly and helpful, particularly when i had issues making an international call - the front desk attendant went further than i would have expected to help me make that call. i was a bit surprised when i asked for restaurant recommendations that i was sent all the way to old town. when i asked for something closer, i was advised to go to the restaurants immediately next door, not because of their quality but because it was a "What the heck, they're decent and they are next door" issue. i guess i would appreciate the hotel having a few quality restaurants in the immediate vicinity that they recommend to their guests who don't want to walk all the way to old town for a meal.
The place where the hotel is situated. (Location). The bed was small and hard.
Well positioned geographically and staff were very good - always polite, courteous and helpful. It did not appear to have bar facilities.
Nice, comfortable, clean, good central posizion, excellent staff.
Good, central location. If you are given room in the worse part of the hotel (we were) - no wi fi, no lift and zero noise protection - you can easily hear what TV channel your neighbour is watching.
it's amaizing, in the middel of the center of Nice, the best staff and the prise is very good for that location.
the staff are helpful and the location is convenient Basic room, but not really expecting too much. Price of Petit-Dejuener was such that I didn't bother to have any.
Good location, reasonable price Wifi reception was poor
Internet was not available in the room, there is no elevator in the part of the hotel I stayed - at least they could have offered to carry our baggages to the room.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The storage of luggage if waiting for your room or a late flight. The hotel stacks the luggage in the breakfast room which is open to anyone. It would be safer if locked away.
