The main attraction is that it is right at the airport - there is a walkway from the terminal. Also, the hotel is well-maintained, has a restaurant, gym, pool, bar, all the basics. The staff is helpful and speaks English. I would be happy to stay there again. Being on the airport grounds, it is not particularly easy to get around anywhere else. Therefore, it is best for people passing through.
Location, attentive staff. The gym could be better ... and easier to find. Breakfast is only for the American taste (but adequate).
Proximity to the airport meant no hassling with taxis and Lima traffic. It was noisy. Sirens and car alarms all night. Porters in the corridors noisy with banging doors.
location to airport was great bathroom smelled like mildew. beds were hard. Not supposed to drink the water, but had to pay for water in room. had to pay for coffee in room. good breakfast. excellent location next to airport, but pricey. staff very accommodating, held some luggage while we were traveling. it looks like they charged us for the room, even though we paid through priceline, so we'll have to check that out. (they took our credit card for incidentals, but my husband didn't notice that they charged us for the room)
It was a nice convenient hotel to stay at if you have a early flight. Staff very helpful expensive for a short stay
We (a couple) flew through Lima twice on our trip to Peru from the US and stayed at this hotel both times in Dec 2016. This airport is located right across the street from the airport and has a sky bridge to the airport on the 2nd floor. The hotel is nice but the convenience to the airport and avoiding the crazy Lima traffic is what makes it a good value. I thought it would be noisy but it wasn't too bad even through the Lima Airport is a very busy airport. The staff were all very nice. I wouldn't stay here for an extended stay in Lima. For an extended stay it would be better to be away from the ambiance of the airport. The airport is very busy 24x7 so don't be surprised if there is a line at reception.
Been near the airport.
Great airport location if you need to spend the night to catch a flight the next morning. It is not luxurious. Simple clean and comfortable.
Procimity to aiortr Not anything
Only the location, right at airport. Sketchy hallways and not so clean room, especially for the price.
Location. It is right in front of the airport. I requested "Junior Suite", but they don't have such a Junior suite at all.
From the moment you are welcomed by the doorman Andres and Alfredo . To the front desk Daniel and his crew . All were incredible . Great breakfast , again service is a ten . Housekeeping is immaculate . You can walk anywhere in ten minutes . The office center is staffed by a woman named Brenda . The reason i know the names of the staff is everyone is so helpful. I live in Maui Hawaii and have to travel six months a year . This is in my top five business hotels across the world . Get the junior suite its worth it The carpet is shohing age in the rooms
The hotel did not have my reservation. As a result I had to pay twice for my stay, a total of $1,800.00. This will be the last time I book with kayak. The hotel staff was not concerned at all with helping me resolve the issue.
Club lounge has become a children's playroom, excellent staff, terrible patents
The staff was exceptional. From arranging car services to helping extend checkout times to overall kindness I couldn't give better marks. The hotel was extremely clean and well maintained. If I return to Lima I won't even look for another hotel! Mike Seattle WA
Wonderful time clean. Attentive, professional, great conceirge level spread. Enjoyed the rooftop very much. Thank you!
The location of the hotel and quality of rooms is great especially anyone spending multiple days in Lima. However, the service by each of the employees we came in contact was outstanding and certainly makes the Marriott name shine in Lima.
Full gym, accommodating for our stay. It was a very business and turístico atmosphere. Even though it was not romantic it was still great for us as a couple because it was close to everything romantic. Was not romantic
I'd just like to take this opportunity to publicly give my thanks to Juan Jose, the young bell man who took the time to kindly grab our luggage, welcome my wife and kid, and show the functionality of the room to them while I stayed in the lobby checking in. The first thing my wife said was: "Wow!! that young man really went above and beyond helping me and made me feel at home." Additionally, Priscilla, lady at the concierge desk, was very attentive and knowledgeable to accommodate our transportation and reservation needs while in the hotel. Even though, we only stayed one night (Sunday May 29th, 2016), we experience and saw enough from the hotel and staff that would makes us go back and stay at the JW Marriot Hotel Lima. Cheers
Wonderful service, beautiful hotel, location and views. Bottled water provided free and unlimited. Gym was FABULOUS! Shower door leaked, charge for wifi in room, coffee/expresso machine pods not restocked daily. But were provided after request. Bar drinks and breakfast buffett were overpriced.
Room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. Bedding and towels were very soft. Very practical bathroom toiletries. Bar with live music was great. Cost and fee for wifi.
Neighborhood, near everything
great service; wonderful breakfast buffet; convenient transport to/from airport (for a fee but safe!); good location for "away from it all", more local feel of a nice area of Lima;excellent restaurants nearby.
Comfortable room, beautiful neighborhood, excellent breakfast Bit off the beaten path for going out/night life. Otherwise a great location.
So I get to my room, and as usual in Peru, there is a bottle of water (because the local water is generally not potable) and I start to use it and then see a card telling me that using the bottle of water cost me 25 soles (about 10 dollars). We then went across the street and got a 2 liter bottle of water (about 6 times the size of that bottle ) for 2 soles (about 80 cents). The internet is slow, unpredictable and constantly cuts you off (and it's 35 soles a day or $13.50). Our room on the 14th floor still had significant traffic noise outside. the bathrooms are the new 'see through' trend in Starwood hotels, which offer no privacy at all. The refrigerator in the mini bar did not work -- it was simply storage. Breakfast was great, but overpriced at about $19 per person. Here's the BIG SHOCKER -- if you are planning to stay at this hotel, take the price of the room, food, drinks etc. that you are planning to spend and add 28% -- what they don't tell you is that there is 18% tax and 10% ...
Nothing This was the worst. I made my reservation through Kayak, received a "confirmation" code and all for nothing. When I arrived at the hotel I was at the check in area for 4 hours. They never found my reservation. I had to pay for a whole new reservation at the spot cause I just couldn't take it anymore. Do not book this hotel through Kayak EVER. BOTH THE HOTEL STAFF AND KAYAK ARE RESPONSIBLE and a disgrace.
Great location and staff was very heldil with internet problems I had that has nothing to do with the hotel. Great free breakfast No visitors to room seemed juvenile
decent place, but perhaps a bit tatty around the edges to be considered a true international hotel. That said, the location - both in Miraflores and within the district is excellent. If you want to hit the casino, the two best - Fiesta and Atlantic - at weithin 1 block. If you want to dine in at the hotel, resist the urge as there are numerous restaurants within blocks that are are miles ahead. The staff was excellent and to our surprise honest in assessment of restaurants, etc. Overall, not bad but not 4 star, either.
Good and large bed. Excellent breakfast choice and excellent breakfast room. Good location near to shopping district in Miraflores Noisy room for two reasons: located at the back of the very noisy elevetors, and one floor up from the swimming pool with terrace where two american ladies had a quite noisy conversation after midnight; limited parking lot, with too limited space for the average car.
Very comfortable bed. Fantastic restaurant setting on the 21st floor
Location, quality, staff, view
Used the ATM in the lobby, and my card info was robbed. Later, unauthorized withdrawals. Be VERY careful.
Like the previous poster... get the Tower room. The service/rooms are not as upscale, but for the price you can't beat it.
Absolutely the best hotel in Lima. The rooms have amazing views and the staff is extremely helpful.
Great hotel, but expensive. It is located in a very busy site of Lima, the only transportation is by taxi, walking is not very fun. They extended my staying for 8 hours, because my plane was departing late, and they charged me for the 8 hours, not for a new day or half of a day, which it was very nice.
We stayed 1 night at this hotel. Should of been 3 but we ran like hell. Its a tiired dirty old smelly hotel. How it stays part of the Sheraton is beyond me. Its a complete garbage can. Stay there at your own risk!!
This hotel is located in the downtown area of Lima. It was very loud with honking and street noise and I was up on the 10th floor. I preferred staying in the Miraflores area of Lima. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking to have a pleasant experience in Lima.
GOOD LOCATION. BREAKFAST BUFFET WAS OK THE ODOR IN THE ROOM WAS ALMOST UNBEARABLE, HAD TO CHANGE ROOMS TWICE, AND IT WAS BECAUSE OF THE CARPETING IN THE WHOLE HOTEL. ADD THE HUMIDITY OF THE CITY AND YOU'RE BREATHING FUNGUS TROUGHOUT YOUR WHOLE STAY. IN GENERAL THE HOTEL NEEDS MAINTENANCE AND REMODELING. FOR ONE NIGHT AND NEXT MORNING UNTIL 11:00AM WE HAD NO HOT WATER! STAFF WAS NICE BUT THEY SEEMED UNMOTIVATED, NOT OVERLY NICE, EXCEPT FOR THAT VERY SWEET CHOCOLATE LADY.
Location of the hotel excellent in the heart of San Isidro a very nice neighborhood in Lima Peru. Very nice reception service, I'm bilingual. Breakfast accomodate my style and taste: lots of fresh fruits, breads, eggs etc. Rooms are very quiet and clean.
The hotel was very nice, especially the starff. It is located in a very nice section of town near some very nice restaurants.
No complaints. The staff was friendly and courteous. Great neighborhood around many embassies. Rates competetive to everything else in San Isdro and Miraflores. Short walk or cab ride to : the fountains, archeological sites, the beach and down town. This says it all. We checked out and were loading into the cab. In the time to load bags into the cab, the staff had already done a once through the room and found the point and shoot camera my brother and I had missed when we had done our once through. They got the camera to us even before we had gotten into the cab ourselves. The beds are rooms are quite spacious. While not on business, they appeared to have all the amenities for the business travel : spacious area to hang suits, desk, iron, etc.
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
The rooms were spacious, full cable tv. jacuzzi in the bathroom, VERY clean. The breakfast buffet (included) was excellent The dinner was very good but too expensive and the service was VERY SLOW!!
The rooms very very nicely appointed and very spacious.
Spacious, clean, well appointed rooms, courteous staff, quiet location, good hot/cold water pressure, internet works well. Room soundproofing not so good, especially if you have a conjoined room.
Great value and fantastic place to stay in a safe and the nice area of Sa ISIdro. The hotel staff were very freiendly and helpful in so many ways. The free breakfast was incredible! Would definately book at this hotel again.
The large room, very clean and great shower.
The staff was very efficient. The rooms were comfortable.
It's close to parks, historical sites, shops and restaurants. Easy transit options (bus, taxi). Good breakfast. Clean. A bit dated, almost run down. Reminded me of non-tourist hotels in Cuba. Might have been the world's slowest elevator.
Our bed was really comfortable. It was great that hotel has 3 computers with internet free of charge. Breakfast was good. Good location. The bathroom was a bit misty. The price was quoted in USD, but it is not possible to pay in USD. The hotel used the excange ratio 1 USD = 3 soles... which is more than official exchange rate (for example: at the same day Peru Rail used exchange rate 1 = 2,8)
It is near the indian market and serve a good pisca sour
We loved the massive bed in our room. Apparently, only the rooms X02 have this 'more than King' size bed. So, whatever floor you're on, ask for the 02 room. We stayed on the 7th and 8th floor (=rooms 702 and 802).
Good hotel staff friendly and helpful. Very clean hotel. Took a tour to Colonial Lima using the hotel transport, just felt treated like as part of their family. Took a while to process the credit card payment at the hotel.
Very friendly and helpful staff who knew english very well. We could store our bags after check out until we left for the airport late evening. We felt very welcome and they even offered us a drink upon arrival. The location is pretty far from downtown Lima, (about 1 hour bus ride). On the other hand it's right in Miraflores, right next to shopping and 20 minutes walking to the ocean. Overall we are very satisfied with our stay!
Pleasant, cordial staff. Comfortable bed. Clean room. Convenient location. None.
Tasteful and thorough recent renovations. Excellent service from all: front desk, restaurant, doormen. Highly recommended as a hotel that adheres to international standards in comfort and services but is a reliable alternative to the chains.
For the money, could not ask for much more. Clean, large bed, decent breakfast, and very nice staff.
The location is very good.
