The rooms were comfortable, clean and quiet. Some of the furnishing could be updated, but we used it for sleeping, so it was fine. Close to Rittenhouse square and plenty of shopping, restaurants and entertainment.
There was a lack of food amenities, only 2 higher end restaurants with limited open availability. Small coffee area with some snacks.
I like that staff was quick to upgrade my room and give vouchers for free breakfast and beverages, after issues of a/c and tub drain. Made me feel like a valued customer even though I had a cheaper room.
Would have like a bigger fridge, w/ small freezer for ice cream. And maybe 2 water bottles per day instead of just one.
I liked the boutique quality of the hotel. There was an attempt to provide a Luxury touch throughout the interiors of the hotel. The price through Kayak was great and allowed me to stay in what seemed to be the most central location in Philly.
There were some crumbs in my room floor. But other than that he room was great.
The room was spacious and comfortable, also very clean
Didnt like the square shallow sink in the bathroom. Looks great but not functional or user friendly at all
The best feature of the Warwick was the staff. Chantal at the front desk was very helpful (kayak had reserved the wrong room type) and a great ambassador for the hotel. Anson in the executive lounge was welcoming and always looking to enhance our experience. The location was good. We enjoyed a dinner at Tavern 17 in the hotel. The free wi-fi was dependable and bed very comfortable. We would definitely stay at the Warwick if we return to Philadelphia.
Unorganized. Didn't have us on the maids schedule so she thought the room was vacant. They lost track of our car (valet parked) and took 45 min to get it. Messed up our dates so that they checked us out a day earlier than we had scheduled. They fixed all of these things graciously. The valet parking attendants on one (of three) days were very annoyed to be doing their job. The room was tired, but clean enough. The refrigerator didn't work so we had to keep ice buckets to keep my son's milk cool.
Great location Stylish design
Well first things first, the room smelled overwhelmingly like cigars, and i know because i smoke them. Second, they never advised me that parking was not included with the room. Had they let me know i would have parked it on the street because it was only going to be parked for about 8hrs(got there at 2am and left at 10am). Instead they charged me 80$ for two nights of parking(again i was there for only 8 hours) and then to add insult to injury they damaged my car which i didnt realize until after i left because i was in a hurry to make a meeting. I have called them 6 times and left them 3 separate messages to return my phone call to no avail. I have never been to a hotel that looked so great but preformed so poorly on all accounts. I would have rather stayed at a holiday in express.
Loved the lobby, my room was great and very spacious.
Some outlets didn't work. Overall though, I loved it here.
The proximity to Rittenhouse Square, the shops on Walnut Street, and the many many restaurants in that area is fantastic. The hotel was very clean. Found a great price online. Would stay here again.
We checked in at 4pm. Hotel check in time is 3pm. The desk clerk told me our room wasn't quite ready and that we could wait or upgrade to a better room. Here is my summary of the conversation: Clerk: "Sorry, you're room isn't cleaned quite yet. You may wait about 20-30 minutes or we can upgrade your room" Me: "It's past 3pm, right? (I look at my watch). Yes it's 4pm. Check in time is 3pm, right?" Clerk: "Yes. We had a lot of check outs today and our cleaning staff is doing their best" Me: "Is the upgrade free?" Clerk: "No, it is $30" Me: "So, I reserved a room but it's not ready after your hotel's published check in time, and you want ME to pay YOU so I can check into a room now?" Clerk: "Hmmm. Let me look again, maybe something else is available. Oh yes, there is an open room. I'll check you in now". How many people would have paid the extra $30? Probably many would have. Seemed shady to me that she was able to find an available room after I declined the upgrade. I felt like I was in that Seinfeld episode where Jerry reserved a rental car and they don't have his car available. Other than this interaction, which unfortunately was my very first interaction at the hotel, our stay was great. Would stay here again, pending they reserve, and hold, a clean room for me to stay in.
My wife is from the Philly suburbs and we like to take a trip down to Philly for a night each year in January to have something to look forward to after the holidays are over. We've previously stayed at the Sofitel and enjoyed it, but the Radisson Blu Warwick was considerably less expensive for a one-night stay this go-round so we decided to switch it up. We had a really nice experience. Our room was comfortable, though did not have a view at all except for the run-down building directly adjacent to the hotel. That's to be expected when booking through a third-party vendor, I suppose. Beyond that, we enjoyed the place quite a bit. Nice lobby, nice staff, decent beers on draught at the hotel bar and they even gave us a couple of toothbrushes and toothpastes when we realized we lost ours. We'd definitely stay again!
The shower took a considerable amount of time to heat up to a comfortable temperature, so just keep that in mind before you jump in and rush through a lukewarm shower. The in-room refrigerator was a nice touch but it actually wasn't set to cool, which we didn't realize until our leftovers spent the night in it. Our room was about 40 feet down the hall from the elevator bank, but we could hear the ding they make when the elevator arrives pretty clearly.
I have stayed at the Raddison Blu several times. It has become my first choice of hotels in Philadelphia. The location in the city is great with Rittenhouse square and many great restaurants around the corner. Our room was very comfortable, quiet, and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. We also stayed here for my husband's 70th birthday last June. The staff were so kind and attentive, making sure he had a really special celebration
On my last visit in December, 2014, I found the bathroom did not fully meet my cleanliness standards (splashes of something on the toilet tank and some finger prints on the door frame). Some of the paint in the room was chipped and looked in need of some maintenance.
The last night there was a group of drunk people outside my room. They were fist fighting and screaming from 3am-5:30am. Eventually, security had to come a haul them to the police station. It was very violent and scary. One young man was begging everyone (security included) to beat him to death. Quite frankly, I will not use Kayak to book rooms unless they reimburse me for a night.
Friendly staff, nice rooms.
They didn't have my reservation and they charged me $281 in addition to the $206 I paid to getaroom. I explained that and showed my reservation to the desk clerks when I arrived and when I left and the t have still not removed the extra charge.
Very nice lobby and good size rooms.
We had 15 rooms for my daughters wedding. Our room at check in had a dirty coffee cup and used toothbrush at the sink. We had the room re cleaned but imagine how I felt as mother of the bride when 3 others were talking about their dirty room at the rehearsal dinner! The worst room was a aunt who's bed was made with dirty sheets, tv on, trash on floor and dirty bath. Gross
The lobby and decor
The wait time at the desk, the cigar smell in the lobby.
The location is good. Rooms are big and decorated well.
The bathroom wasn't very clean. There were things that I feel the cleaning staff should have noticed, like something gross looking out the shower curtain.
The hotel lobby was very nice
I did not like how my room seemed like no one even checked it. The light switches coming into the room were not connected to anything, the smoke detector was dangling from its wires. The outlet next to the bed wasn't even connected to the wall so when I went to pull out my charger I pulled out the outlet as well. The heater in the bathroom also looked old, and stained. And the bed sheets had rips in them. The the amount of money that I spent on that one person room, I would have expected that it would have been a little better looked after.
Decoration and room layout.
- Having to wait 1 hr for my car at valet parking. Along with 25 other angry people. - It was loud in the morning.
