Staff friendly and helpful. Conveniently located next to both Knott's parks and Medieval Times and Pirates. Rooms small and hot. Needed to run the AC full time because my wind directly faced the sun.
How close it was to Knott's. The beds were hard and the walls were thin but overall it was bad for the price.
Right next door to Knott's The whole property looks like it hasn't been updated since the early 90's... probably because it hasn't. The rooms are kinda ugly. The walls are paper thin. Room service is a joke (screwed up our breakfast order three different ways). The staff can't be bothered. Stay elsewhere and pay extra to park at Knott's. You'll be glad you did.
It is clean and quiet. The restaurant needs a makeover. Gordon Ramsay could help this kitchen nightmare.
Nothing! I booked a king room they gave me a double queen saying it was kayaks fault. The matresses are rocks. The fire alarm went off in our room only in the middle of the night, about 2am, and when we called down stairs to remedy the issue security was sent to investigate US, if I wanted to smoke I would have chosen a room that allowed smoking but my husband and I are not smokers. The next morning house keeping woke us up around 8am in the morning trying to clean the room we startled her because she said "they" told her we had already checked out but we obviously had not and check out was not until 12pm. Worst experience ever with a "nice" hotel. We will never go back!
Great location, discounts on park tickets and parking. Rooms were not as nice as I would have expected from Knott's Hotel. More like a Motel 6
I was given a waived parking fee for being military regardless of the disappointment that there was no military discount except jan/Dec time frame. Bed was comfy too. And hardly heard much. The amber waves restaurant was closed but the bar was open and the sign was up saying please wait to be seated and the hostess/employee at the front looked at us with a puzzled look and asked what we needed. I felt stupid. There should very been a closed sign up
Price was right, location was right. I thought the lobby would use some sprucing up. It was very bland. Even some potted plants or something to brighten it up. The room was fine, bathroom sink area was very small, hard for 3 people to get ready in the morning. Tried to take a bath, but the stopper was broken. It was fun to be able to walk to the Knott's boardwalk. Not sure if I would stay there again, but it wasn't bad.
Found a room for a great price a few hours prior to arrival. Located right next to Knott's Berry Farm. Bed was comfy. Room needs updating Plan ahead if using room service for breakfast. We made the mistake of ordering at 9am, which is an hour before the park opens... it took nearly an hour for food to arrive... food was meh. Bring swim stuff. Great pool area for kids... splash pad was nice item to differentiate itself from other hotels. Overall good value for our needs Overall the hotel is in a state of disrepair. Just little things really, stains on curtains, dents on walls, spots on fixtures.
Room size, proximity to KBF and Disney Bed was very uncomfortable, and very shaky!
Its average hotel. Needs refurbishing. Its not 4star.
The pool was great. The courtesy shuttle was free & the bell captains were very accommodating & dropped us off where we requested within a useful radius. The onsite shop was very handy. Check in & check out was fast. The hallway & carpets are looking a bit old & worn.
All that we hoped it would be, nice space for two folks with pull out couch, nice tvs, all good
We reserved a suite. the room contained two full beds with a stitting room. they were well eqipped with a small kitchen area, microwave, single serve coffee pot and fridge. Although there were some stains on the carpet, the room was clean overall the room was a bit dated. The spanish style was pretty, but it seemed like they hadn't changed much since the nineties. the beds were kind of hard. They had mattress pads but it was obvious that the mattresses were cheap. There was a breakfast buffet but it is not necessarily included with your hotel stay. We had to wait because they didn't have us on the list for free breakfast, even though i know it was included when i reserved the room. The food wasn't anything special that it needed an additional price tag. For the price I would have expected a lot more. Also, the doors to the rooms are glass, so we could hear a lot from the pool area. also, the floors seemed thin. My two year old was running and I couldn't help but think that the people down below were probably hearing it. There was a sign in the front window that they are going to be under new ownership, so hopefully that means that there will be some needed upgrades
The complimentary breakfast had a great selection, the food we ordered from their restaurant was good and the pool area had a very tropical feel to it. The rooms had a very homey feel to them and very private I reserved the room through Kayak and it took over 20 minutes to find my reservation. We ordered room service on our first day there and they told us to leave the dishes outside our door and they would pick them up....they stayed out there for 2 days
really needs deep cleaning and update
I LOVED the way the entire staff went above and beyond to make all of our special requests absolutely special. My Girlfriend actually closed the room door before getting her roses out and Satya (housekeeper) let her in to get them and was very very sweet about it. Thank You All!! We had a great time. No, everything was great but we just could not find the ice machines.
Friendly staff, good sized rooms and close to the action. Couldn't find a corkscrew after 9.
Clean and spacious Thicker bed comfortable, refrigerator, and updated TV with more channels
Staff is always nice. Rooms are always neat and clean. Very good facility and stay for the price. Sometimes things are broken. On this particular stay, the tub faucet dripped water when it was off, the tub drain cover was detached, and one of the outlets (the most important one by the bed) didn't work. I know they just remodeled the rooms here, which they look nice, but they should've added those lamps with the outlets on there.
I didn't like the hidden fees upon check in.
Nothing this place is gross and the grounds are dirty and broken down Rooms are dirty tv's are old and broken changed my room 3 times pictures are fuzzy and the screen is green I didn't feel safe staying there the maid kept coming in the room for no reason
Breakfast was great employees were nice and courteous the rooms were clean and parking was easy and right in front of my room What i didnt like was the tv it was outdated and the cable sucks got like 8 channels terrible
It was comfortable, clean and spacious. It was reasonably price for being so close to Knotts Berry Faem & Disneyland!! N/A
I was left alone. I tried to shorten my stay due to an emergency and had to cut a day; your staff basically told me oh well, too bad.
The bed was comfortable. There was no comforter on the bed, instead there was a warm blanket between 2 sheets. I really liked that, knowing that hotels are not required to wash their comforters. The walls were thin and could here the people next door getting busy at 4 in the morning. The shower was AWFUL, there was no pressure, midway through the shower I was ankle deep in water, half of the pressure was coming out of the faucet rather than the shower head and the shower head was old and crusted over with calcium. The breakfast was lack luster
Loved the location. Literally right next door to knotts berry farm and there was a mall across the street as well. Staff was awesome and rooms were super CLEAN. That's all I could ask for. The souvenir shop was never open.
Rooms were clean, large, & sparse. Wifi was very slow.
Location only The room stated non smoking and the room smelled like smoke horrible review
Rooms could have been cleaner especially bathroom and tub. Construction to balcony incovenient to getting to the room. and really no wear to put the clothes unless you hung some of them.
Express checkout was available, but you had to fill out a card with your room number and email, so they could send you the final bill. I have yet to receive mine. I left a message and they haven't followed up. Trip ended 11 days ago. I was overcharged for car parking. They should have charged me for only one day, but was charged for four days. Car pooled with friends, they stayed over one day and got their own room the following day.
The way the lobby looked was nice. My boyfriend and I came to the Hilton in Anaheim and stayed for two nights to celebrate his birthday. We have stayed at many hotels around this area because we like to go to Disneyland, and this was by far the WORST hotel I have stayed at, Mediocre looking room, lazy house keepers and horrible service. Also had to keep the a/c running at 65 degrees because if we didn't, our "non-smoking" room will begin to smell like cigarettes. Maybe it was the room next to us that smoked cigs in their room but it was very strong in ours. Upon entering the room, the tv wasn't working, had to call the front desk to send someone up to fix it, said he'd be there in 10-15 min...he shows up almost two hours later. It would've been nice to know he'd be there in 2 hours NOT 15 min. The next morning we leave our room go to breakfast at 7 am expecting that our room will be stocked with new towels and have our bed made...we come back at 4 pm and our room has NOT been replenished no one has came in to clean anything! I call the front desk and he tells me house keeping will be there in 10-15min. 20 min later nothing...I call back and tell them that I just need some towels and finally after waiting 45 min and calling twice I got my 2 towels. The showers were terrible. For starters the shower curtain kept wanting to stick to my legs and I had to place the curtain outside of the tub to prevent that, causing water to spill on the floor but at that point I was already annoyed by this curtain! Then the water took forever to warm up, and it was either SCORCHING HOT or ICE COLD for water temperature. Overall my stay was just very very disappointing. I was expecting more from a Hilton and my boyfriend wasn't happy with it either. I have never been so pissed off to the point where I'd want to write a review like this but this place is really NOT worth the amount of money you'd have to spend. (Btw they try to charge you $5 for a ride to the park when you could just walk right across the street to the Disney shuttles for free lol). I feel that I must emphasize that this place doesn't care about its guests, they just want your money. I'll come back to Anaheim and its other wonderful hotels, but I definitely won't be staying here.
The front desk staff went above and beyond. I was very impressed with the high level of customer service they uphold. Our room was spotless, the bed was comfortable and we had a great view of Disneyland. Could not hear any sound through the walls, the room was quiet. Check in was quick and easy. Elevators from the parking garage take you directly into the hotel right by the front desk and room elevators.
Clean very well maintained lobby/bar/restaurant. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bedding was clean and cozy. Location was good. Shower was horrible. The water was either hot hot or cold cold. U could not get warm water no matter what time of day (morning, late morning or late at night). The ceiling in the shower had peeling paint and drywall (leaving a hole in the ceiling) Room was in need of some updating. Restaurant was way over priced. $16 a day for parking
The only pros to this location are the location and the beds. I have never received such poor customer service at a 4 star hotel. My husband and I called around noon day of our reservation to confirm that we wouldn't lose our room and were reserved for a king size bed, we provided our confirmation # and were reassured that our 7pm estimated arrival wouldn't affect anything. Turns out that was a miscommunication. After being placed in a double room directly across from the elevators, we returned to the front desk to rectify the situation. The employee whom helped us was completely lacking in compassion, barely looked at us, and treated us as if our requests were a bother to her. After being told they were fully booked, we then asked that we at least be placed in a quieter area. The 2nd room was directly across from the ice machine and had a rattling AC vent. We then returned down to the front desk, because if you try to call your phone call goes unanswered, and asked to speak to a manager in order to explain our frustrations. He also was not accommodating and treated us unkindly, in fact he harshly told us that that is "what we get" for booking through a third party site. Finally after his departure, the poor employee whom received us that 3rd time, expressed her surprise that he didn't help us and chose to rectify the situation herself placing us in another king size bed room at the end of a hallway. (She had noticed the amount of times we had returned to the front desk). There is no excuse for the miscommunication and levels of customer service we received from this establishment.
AC didn't work in first room. Bathroom size too small vs rest of the room (we had a suite).
Main lobby is nice, toiletries were great quality Front desk staff member was short and rude. Outdated rooms that need a lot of touching up.
the place was clean and very well taken care of. good location. nice rooms, except for (see what i didn't like) i was woken up at 9:00a.m. by some sort of knocking maybe caused by expanding joints or metal or possibly construction occuring in an adjacent rooom. i was in the quient wing so the knocking made it more irritating. it went on from 9:00a.m. for at least two hours. i had arrived early that morning like 1:00a.m. and hope to sleep to about 11:00a.m. but with the knocking that wasn't happening. i had to get up and get ready and leave to avoid the annoyance all together. there are many factors/expectation one has when staying at a hotel. with this particular stay i was hoping for a long and good night's sleep. the hotel failed in that respect. that was the most important aspect of that stay given my arrival time and need of a solid rest before a long drive home. disappointing!
I've stayed at this Hilton before and everything was fine but this time was a disaster. When my boyfriend and I arrived we went to our room to find out we were given a wheel chair accessible room because there was a large convention going on in the hotel and when I called the first time to switch rooms I was met with no solution and no option of switching to a standard king room and was told that I had specifically requested this type of room. So I then went into my emails to check if perhaps I had made a mistake while booking and it was obvious to me that this was there mistake. I then called the front desk again and they then gave me the option of switching to a room with two queen bed which we ended up doing. When we arrived in our next room, with the two queen beds, we turn the lights on in the bathroom there is a HUGE bug on the floor looking like a mix between a cockroach and a grasshopper. I then called the front desk again to tell them what was going on and they said it was normal and they could send someone up to kill the bug...!!!!!! Like what??? So unprofessional. I asked to switch rooms and they said they had nothing available do to a large convention so there we were left in this room which had more than one bug inside. So discusting. On the second night of our four night stay I called again and spoke with a very nice women at the front desk and was able to switch to a standard king room. Overall the staff is so unprofessional, the rooms have bugs and I honestly will never stay here again souly based on the lack of customer service.
Very helpful and friendly staff, specially Mike from security or lost and found. He went above and beyond to help me. so He deserves a very nice paycheck rise. THANK YOU.
Facilities & ambiance were excellent. Staff was friendly. The pool was overcrowded, so an extra pool would be nice.
The room was standard but quite clean. It was evident that the room I was staying in had been recently updated, which was nice. This may seem like a small thing but the towels were amazing! Housecleaning staff was great. The concierge was awesome. I was staying at the Marriott across the street for a few days and had to extend my stay so I moved over to the Hilton. The check in took forever. There were 12 people in line when I got there and 1 person working registration. When I left Marriott there were 6 people checking in customers. A manager walked up to check in a pilot, looked at the line of others waiting to be checked in and just walked away when she was finished. When it was my turn to check in my room wasn't ready and the woman checking me in was incredibly rude, for no reason. I left to get something to eat and when I returned a few hours later to get my room keys the next woman at the check in desk rudely told me I was already checked in and reprimanded me for not getting my keys the first time. Quite unpleasant and have no idea why. In contrast, everyone at Marriott was incredibly nice and helpful.
In the middle of Long Beach downtown. You could walk to local restaurant. Free breakfast was good. Nothing I didn't like
Convenient drive from there to the funeral I was attending the next morning. Easy check out Parking fee and got the very last parking spot at night
Location was great. 15 minute walk to the Pike and waterfront location. Close to restaurants, and shopping. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and plenty of parking. The pool was a little small.
Great Location for the Convention Center, lots of restaurant's in the area, and the comp. breakfast was good The comp. breakfast should be extended to 10:30AM , Refrigerator in rooms would be good improvement. The coffee pot and ice bucket should not be kept in the bathroom, its unsanitary
Location if hotel And cleanliness. the pool looked deceptivly large on the website. It was basically a giant hot tub. The staff was not accommodating. I wanted an earlier check in @ 2:15, I had three small children and apparently no rooms were clean. The breakfast was shady at best and not much room. I had to take the food into my room. This is the last Best Weatern I stay in.
It was so close to shoreline and pine avenue You could hear through the rooms
The hotel is clean and the rooms look modern and up to date. The location in downtown Long Beach is pretty central if you want to be in Long Beach. Two double beds instead of two queens, lots of sound traveling between rooms, not a very good shower, room was on the smaller side, check-in issues were an annoyance and were due to staff's actions. Price quite high for what we got.
It was clean and comfortable . I liked that it had things you might forget like a razor , sewing kit, toothbrush , ect. Not enough seating area at breakfast.
Staff friendly Parking could have been better, no big deal, we arrived late!
clean & great location THe undisclosed fee to park at hotel. $10 a night which was never disclosed on either website, NOT RIGHT!!!!
Cleanliness and friendly AM staff No room service
The rooms were spacious and very clean. No complaints.
Stay was Awesome Excellent Customer Service!!!! I liked how when I called Front Desk about not having a microwave and how it said my room included microwave I was informed that it was available upon request and one would be delivered to my room right away and literally as I hung up phone I received a knock at the door that microwave had arrived and they set up. Great friendly staff!!!!
Friendly staff, clean room, clean bathroom, pretty up to date, close to attractions. No personal valuables safe in room clean but extremely small fitness nook/room
Close to tourist spots Coming from the south must make a u-turn on busy street to enter parking lot.
From the moment I walked past the glass door and into the Lobby area I was in love with the decour. The lobby area was beautiful and spacious. There was a snack room dining tables to our left and a bar/ restaurants right there. Once you continue to walk further into the Lobby you'll notice there is a computer area which all guests area allowed to use to surf the web or print. Next to that was more seating areas. There was a beautiful fire place area outside that was surrounded by comfortable seats. There is a big pool and jacuzzi. The bed was super comfortable and I loved the water pressure in the shower. Moreover, it is near everything so it was very convenient. It's surrounded by Medieval Times, Knotts Berry Farm, The Bodies Exhibit, Restaurants, The mall is down the street, etc... The outside of the Hotel was dirty. There were a lot of leaves everywhere in the driveway area. This needed some serious cleaning As soon as I walked into the Hotel my opinion changed however. The rooms were a lot smaller then the pictures showed. Our room did not have a balcony which upset me but we did arrive before our check int time so maybe that was the reasoning behind that. The jacuzzi and the gym were in tiny rooms and everytime I intended to go into either one it was crowded. They only gave us 3 towels.
I liked that the staff was kind The tv channels didn't work you had to put the channel in. Also the beds where rock hard they where the same as sleeping on the floor.
It's cheap, parking is free, staff is nice, and the rooms are just right What's not to like?
Nothing but coffee.
The clean room. All around the hotel. They didn't inform me about $25. Hold. They didn't give me a room on 3rd floor. When I got a text saying no problem.
The room was clean and comfortable. I was upgraded to a room with a refrigerator at no extra charge. The front desk person was very nice. I stayed at this hotel for about a week while I was having plumbing problems worked on at my home, so this was not leisure or business, essentially just using the hotel to have a place to shower at, and I never did sleep there so I wanted a relatively cheap hotel. The hotel is actually right next to a few eating places that we had frequented, so I felt like I knew the area and it was okay. Well, I was wrong about that. I would say it did not feel safe to go in and out of at night. Right outside the entry door, which you must use if you are using the elevator, they have a few benches for a smoking area. In the evening there was always a group of 3 to 4 people who hung out there to smoke and drink. They appeared as though they were living at this hotel. I got the feeling this was a hotel people stay at that are otherwise homeless, which isn't bad, but didn't feel comfortable either for a family. I would have never stayed here for an actual vacation. One night as I went out to my car, there was a man doing something from the trunk of his car next to mine, and he had left his drivers door open which made it impossible for me to get to my door. His lady friend was sitting inside the car, and obviously extremely high. I just wanted to get into my car and go, he started yelling and screaming at me that I shouldn't have parked so close to him. Obviously, I was not that close, he was able to leave his door fully opened up. It was very intimidating and scary, I have never had someone just start yelling at me like that before for no real reason, that I didn't even know, so creepy. This was an emergency stay, it was cheap, and as they say, you get what you pay for, but I won't be going back and am thankful I have a home to go to at the end of the day.
I had already paid for my room online, but when I got there, they did not accept my netspend card which was the same card I used to get the room. That posses me off.
Service is excellent and the guy was friendly and helpful...thanks! Nothing....all is good...
Close to Knotts Berry Farm Friendly Staff Great Rates Quiet CLEAN New AC system Looks better maintained then other motels in the area Dated decor (to be expected for the $) Bathroom vent didn't work Was clean ,but there was hair from the housekeeper everywhere
It was quite. We got a room where car was close by. It was a good neighborhood. Walmart Target. Dennys.. Are all close by. The AC unit leaked...
Stayed there about a year ago, it was no frills but clean.. Now its worse. A little dirtier. We wont stay here again.
Nice Clean hotel, quiet, close enough to Disney and Knotts Didn't offer breakfast, called front desk to ask for wake up call and never received it.
I loved the location that was a plus, and the staff was very friendly, the breakfast was ok but i would put more of a variety of food to choose from. Well our pillows kept disappearing, we stayed 3 nights and started of with 4 pillows on each bead by the 3rd night we only had 2 pillows a bed. Also our bathroom had new towels but they where very dingy
Breakfast has waffles. Staff friendly & helpful. Near Theme-Parks, Theatre-Dinner-Shows, reasonable & kind-hospitable-restaurants like Sizzler & 24Hr.-NORMS, Target-store OPEN late by Beach Blvd. & if that's taken South that street goes 2 Beaches @ Pacific Ocean & Coast Highway (a LOVEly-Drive)! Somex daily rates can b high depending on Corporate HQ & how high the occupancy. Wish complimentary Breakfast lasted til 10am like some hotels. It is an older hotel/Inn w/noisy AC, but it is well kept up & HoJo hotels been since 1925!! Views r of business-bldgs. & Storage.
Pricing Rooms were very clean Even though we didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel it was nice and quiet when we did. Unless I didn't read the fine print but their $100 deposit was a surprise.
Service: Excellent. They let us check in a full hour early which was lovely because we were exhausted. Everyone we encountered was friendly. Rooms: Clean. Nothing fancy, but for $40 a night we got more than we paid for. Plus free WiFi! I've paid more for hotel and was still expected to pay for internet access. The mini fridge was bigger than expected and clean as well. I didnt use the microwave but it looked as if it was in good order. Breakfast: Pretty darn good for being free! They had waffles but I'm a cereal person. The coffee was tasty! Pool & Hot Tub: Also clean and well maintained! Overall: I couldn't be happier. This was a very nice place for the price and the service was excellent. I have nothing but good things to say about it.
Friendly staff, clean room, location. We had to go to front desk ever day for new keys, $50 incidental charge but not per night which was good, spa really small.
The location was great The room smelled slightly of urging and we were told breakfast was until 10 we arrived at 9:03 and were told they were done she was very rude
i was told you could check in @ anytime but when i got there check in was @ 3pm. The man @ the front desk was very rude
The price was good. We needed a place to stay while our house was being tented for termites. I made the reservation but when my wife tried to check in during the day (I was still at work) they wouldn't let her because she didn't make the reservation. We have the same last name and she has the same credit card that I used on the reservation and they still wouldn't let her check in. She sat in the lobby for 2 hours until I could get off work and get to the hotel. WiFi was not good. Had difficulty connecting and once connected it was very slooooow. The TV would constantly display a message that it had lost its signal. Very difficult to watch a TV program when you miss 5 second blocks every couple of minutes The alarm clock crackled every time the bed moved. Found out after the first night that bed was pressing on the plug in the outlet.
I liked that the beds were comfortable and very clean. There was almost no wifi service. We were towards the back, far away from the front desk and the wifi can't reach that far so there was no wifi service for us. Not a big deal but we were located in the middle of Los Angeles and we had no phone service. There were 12 of us in our group and each with different cell service and nobody had phone connection. We could make calls but no data for internet. It was very frustrating since some of us had work to do.
Location and breakfast Noisy A/C. Dirty carpet and bathroom
Nice big room with great facilities, wifi, water machine in the lobby. Good tv. Big king size bed. Having a microwave and refrigerator was great. Could not change the input of the TV with the remote to hook up my laptop. But I could do it on the TV set. Rooms are a bit older, up keep was decent though. Location had very little in easy walking distance. Everything accessanle by car. But hey, that's LA.
The pool. How close it was to Disneyland. Overall was pretty gross. The towels had makeup stains from previous guests. We got bites at night from the sheets. The room/bathroom was poorly cleaned.
The bed squeaked, tv didnt work, bath was moldy, room need some major tlc and renovation
location the place is a dump
Courteous staff. Moldy bathrooms. Peeling wallpaper. Hair on pillow.
They have very competitive weekly rates. The staff is very rude... And they are bothered by people that have children. Surprising since its across the street from knotts berry farm. Never staying here again, there are much nicer hotels for this price range within a mile radius.
Sink and tub faucets were defective. Air-conditioning was defective. Towels felt like sandpaper.
The location is great! Very centrally located to Knotts Berry Farm and Disneyland. Also the mini fridge in the room was great to have because my boyfriend and I would make lunch to take to the park and it was nice to not have to keep lunch meat in the cooler. I didn't realize that they still made beds so uncomfortable. I felt a bit like the guy from the mattress commercial that wakes up with the red bullseye of pain radiating in his back. Also the "complimentary breakfast" is just cheap coffee in the lobby. My boyfriend went in to grab is some and we ended up just dumping it out and going to Starbucks.
Room was nice and clean when I first arrived. Check-in and out was easy. During the day parking was good. And the hotel is right next to Knott's Berry Farm, Soak city, the Buena Park Mall, and just a 5 minute drive from Disney. Definitely a great price for the area and good hotel. Parking got filled up at night, had to park in the back. the view wasn't anything special, it was of a dirt lot and cruddy rundown store. Maid service never came to clean the room or change the bed. We could hear everything in the room next to us at 5am. Including the persons cell phone ring, there conversation, and fighting. The smoke detectors went off randomly in our Neighbors room and our own. When checking out the guy at the desk was on his cell phone and just took the room key, he didn't bother to ask how our stay was.
it was a nice place
The night receptionist was fast courteous and efficient. The morning staff was abrasive and dismissive. The room was disgusting, and I don't mind staying at hostels. The floor was so dirty that after my shower and I walked around a bit I had to rewash my feet before I got into bed. There was also a bug in the fridge.
The location is great. Directly across from Knotts Berry Farm and only 6 min away from Disneyland! The hotel in general looks old and rundown. There were a couple of roaches in the room. The pillow cases smelled of cigarettes. Housekeeping refused to change the pillow cases. There was only 1 pillow per queen size bed. When we requested additional pillows we were given 1 for each bed. Pillows were flat and old. All in all I would not stay there again.
I liked the cleanliness of the room and the pool and hot tub. Everything was very clean. I did not like the service, day time was very unprofessional and after hours/owners were not friendly. We called ahead to request flowers etc be brought in, and the answer wasn't even, "can we give you some phone numbers for delivery?" The answer was, "no. We don't do that." Not how we anticipated spending our 7th anniversary. Also their afterhours security gate has a metal tab sticking outinto the hallway... Not highlighted, and is actually the same color as the wall... In any case I now have a deep bruise and near fracture on my hand because I didn't see it, and walked right into it.
Nothing at all!!! Oh wait maybe that it was 10 miles away from the beach. Oh yes I did not like any of the staff they were very rude and did not understand half of anything you said. ALso the manager (rude) gave out my room key I guess they thought we had checked out? Lol who knows but we were only there a day and reserved two nights. They just gave our key to some random people and it just so happend my lap top got stolen right along with my purse. But thank god the cops came let us watch cameras and just happend to catch that the people were still staying in the hotel and got our stuff back. After spending three hours looking at cameras on my vacation! So if you want the staff to just give your room key out and let your personal belongings get ransacked threw you go ahead and stay there! K! I will never go back
The only reason why I stayed after seeing the room is because I didn't want to lose my money. I did not feel safe at this place. The carpets were not cleaned it appeared, for years.
it was clean and quiet and close to knotts berry farm. breakfast menu was a bit sparse.
I liked that the room was clean and had a refrigerator and microwave. I did not like that there were mattresses outside the lobby. It made my first impression of the hotel very bad. Also, the staff were not friendly when checking in or asking questions and I was ignored a few times.
The closeness to the theme park which we visited in our trip. It was literaly a walk away.
Only that it was close to Knotts .... The entire stay was terrible, noisy, dirty, smelly, and not very pleasant totally
the convenience of the location to other businesses in the area the claim of wireless internet access I could not access
Clean place... new paint, over all a decent place to sleep. Front desk person (male) was rude when we asked if we could have a later check out being that we unexpectedly checked in at 4am..and his reply was " well thats not my problem" was just flat out rude. Regular check out was 11am- we only needed a hour being that we had 2 small little ones with us ..he ended up allowing the later check out but was rude about it.
The location was very close to the attractions I wanted to visit The morning breakfast, needed more variety
The location and the rooms were amazing.
It was close to our destination. Staff was helpful. Misrepresented on website - pool is extremely small; family suite does not have kitchen facilities only a small microwave and mini-fridge; tubs need resurfacing; carpet was so dirty our feet turned black.
Easy to access internet. Clean room. Breakfast was juice, coffee, toast, big oranges, big apples and some bread. Easy to use ice machine. I like this inn.
Room smelled like Pine Sol - dirty tub (hair in tub!) filthy carpet.
The Queen Mary is an amazing hotel: historic, beautiful and a great location! We can't wait to stay there again!!!
It's a cool, old cruise ship. It's kind of a tourist destination in itself. Also, it's really close to the helipad if you're taking the helicopter to Catalina. Overall, the boat felt old and empty and dingy. The bathroom looked a little dirty —probably just age—and there were lightbulbs missing from some of the fixtures in our room. I wanted it to be like stepping back in time, but that wasn't the experience on a weekday. Maybe weekends are better?
Right next door to the Carnival port. Enjoyed the self guided tour of the ship. The rooms are large. We had a 3 person room which consisted of one large room with a king bed with an adjoined small room with a twin bed and bathroom. They offer free shuttle to/from downtown Long Beach. They charge $35 to check in before 4pm. They charge parking for hotel guests. The rooms, food, and drinks are overpriced. The bedding was dirty, and it didn't look like they have ever vacuumed under the bed. There was a fire alarm at midnight. The submarine was closed.
the novelty of staying in an ocean liner the value for price, the staff, the size of the room, the parking, the lack of amenities onboard, the check-in process,
There was no hot water in the shower. I told the staff I was sick and needed my room right away and they didn't really seem to care.
Cool old ship. It's old ship, so the rooms are a bit old and not exactly sparkling clean. But the real issue is the Dark Harbor, haunted house event that goes on in October. We were not informed till arriving that are room would be adjacent to this raucous event. From 7pm until 1 am in the morning, extremely loud music, screaming, grass breaking and roaring gas flame would shoot off. It's criminal that the Queen Mary would rent rooms next to this mess. Oh but the front desk gives out cheap ear plugs, so that makes it all better.... not. We were on our one year anniversary and needless to say, were extremely disappointed and frustrated,
I enjoyed the history, as the ship is a museum. I also enjoyed the scariness of it. I caught orbs in my room, B505, and it was spooky. I enjoyed the feeling of being on a ship and the sights from the decks. I don't know if the rustic feel is part of the theme but it seems as if it could use some maintenance.
The staff was knowledgable and very friendly. The historical information was incredible both posted and what staff knew. Being able to explore many places on the ship on our own was really fun. Wish there was a microwave in the room.
We left to go to Catalina and asked them to hold wedding cake til we returned later that eve. When we got there they had put the cake in one of the catering refrigerators, and didn't know which one. Front desk people said the catering manager had left and he was only 1 with key & asked if we could come back the following day, which we couldn't. I said someone must have a key. He called around & finally someone said to check w/security, who had the key. I waited 35 mins. to get my cake. Why didn't person at front desk, and the manager he called, know security would have a key. Or why didn't they put it in a refrigerator they could get to knowing we were coming back that eve.
Being Located near Long Beach was the main reason i booked. It was so easy in the morning to get into Port of long Beach, cruise terminal, downtown and aquarium. I would only give 3 stars for cleanness. It's old cruise so you can't expect the bathroom to be modified or anything but seem to work sometimes, the shower and flusher was an issue in the room I stayed.
Atmosphere, history The bathroom wall in the shower was peeling. Looks like they don't maintain their rooms.
I liked the continental breakfast. It had a wide variety but they were constantly running out of things so go before 8. The parking was a nightmare.we ended up parking at a nearby hotel one of the nights.
Breakfast Price Location
Room was clean Separate shower and sink area a plus Included breakfast was awesome.
Not too far from the parks, shuttle service was available right outside the front desk, multiple pools and hot tubs, gym facility if needed, included breakfast. All major key points that make me want to stay here again. Just a few little things that I didn't like. None are deal breakers nor did they make me want to ever come back. First of all, I have a dairy allergy and a lot of the breakfast options had dairy in them. The eggs and potatoes both had cheese in them and you couldn't exactly take the cheese out. It's 2016, dairy allergies are very common so you'd think they'd be a little more considerate. Second, we were there for four days and they only cleaned our room once. Then when they actually cleaned our room, they made the beds but then left all the pillows in a pile on one of the chairs and left one of the throw blankets bundled up and tucked into the night stand. Not sure why that was a thing but it happened. Lastly, and this is mostly me being knit picky, there are only soda and ice machines on the first and third floors. We stayed on the second floor unfortunately and it was a minor inconvenience to to have to walk all the way to the middle of the second floor then go down the stairs and back again just for ice. Not the biggest deal I just don't understand why it was designed that way.
The hotel is super close to Disneyland without ridiculous prices. Also, it has the convenience of a motel but the luxury of a hotel and is really clean with a nice breakfast each morning. There is rarely parking available on busy days and therefore I was told by staff to park in handicaps, red fire zones, and other places where I didn't feel was safe to park my car
Crazy close to Disneyland, the staff was really nice and breakfast was fantastic. Had to pay 10$ a night for parking extra which was a surprise.
Bed was comfortable Had to pay $10 a day to park and they didn'thave enough parking spots. The ACTUAL didn't cool the room. The complimentary breakfast was crowded ,place was dirty and the food was awful. Asking help with direction was pitiful
We stayed at this hotel while in town for Disneyland's Half Marathon Weekend. Overall, great value for the money, clean, and proximity to Disney Parks was especially convenient. The A/C unit is a bit loud, which makes it hard to sleep or hear your tv.
We arrived EARLY and they accommodated our early check in thanks to an empty room. The room itself was clean me organized. The sheets were fresh, the mattresses soft and supportive, but the bathroom was tiny and the rugs a little worn. We enjoyed the free breakfast, though the selection is rather limited. The staff was friendly and attentive, had answers for all my questions. Even the people staying alongside us were pleasant and non-disruptive. Having stayed in the other best western's around, this by far was the best experience. I honestly have no negative reviews.
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, check in and out was super easy. Stuff was super friendly. Love the free breakfast, it really helps you save money if you have a full breakfast you can last until a early dinner. Only a few min walk to park... Carpet was a little outdated.
The location was fantastic as it's across the street to Disneyland California Adventure. The rooms have been maintained well or have been remodeled recently and include a decent sized mini-fridge. Free continental breakfast was nice to have. Parking was easy. Hot tea b and pool were nice and had a great view of nightly Disney fireworks. Overall it was a good value. The beds were substandard. They were like sleeping on a trampoline. The pillows were so thick and dense they were uncomfortable. But the comforters were thin, not much thicker than sheets. The hotel was very busy, and so the breakfast was a disaster to access and they were out of half of the items early. The elevator was out of order so I had to carry my heavy bags to the third floor. You can hear people walk past your room or talking outside the room.
Walking distance to enter the park via the Grand Californian Hotel and Downtown Disney. Good, basic hotel room to stay in close to the parks. Checked in at 11pm, walked all the way to the room with a tired wife and tired 4 year old. Room key did not work. Walked all the way back and the staff did not apologize at all. Just made a new key and said "you should be good." Small but infuriating detail. Breakfast time is a zoo.
Hotel was clean and had a good value for the money. It is a typical bugdet hotel. However if you choose the hotel for Disneyland trip be sure you have the car. It is nearly impossible to walk to Disneyland from the hotel. But if you have the car it is just a 5 minute drive. As for the employees they were really helpful. Free wi-fi and parking is a plus.
Good experience for the price, comfy, quiet, easy check in, easy check out. Might want to bring a blanket and your own pillow, our bed blanket had stains on it and I never trust the hotel pillows.
The htl wifi hve to be reset most of the time. We hve to call d reception to reset d wifi. The room is clean but d only thing abt my htl rm during my stay is dat it smell of urine. My fren will stand far away everytime I open my room door. Lucky I was there only at nite n was away in d day. But pls can u do sumthing wz d smell. D smell stick on my luggage wen I rtn hme. I do hope to rtn to yr htl nxt time. N also if can hve more choices n diff menu everyday for d breakfast.
Location is close to freeways and airport The room had an odor. However was generally clean
It had a refrigerator and microwave in the room. close to Disney and Knots. The fact that we got pulled over driving out of there and the cop telling us it was not the best place to stay and checked to see if our car was stolen.
Nice waterfront location Hard to fine by drivers
I would recommend a water view. It was a great! Nothing
We (either spouse and/or kid) have stayed here at least once a year and have watched it undergo many improvements, it is a wonderful place to stay if you want to be close to the Queen Mary but would like to avoid the noise or prefer a larger room and a pool. Since it is set up like a motel, you have to walk over between buildings and to the pool. The Sunday brunch is fantastic, there is a cute sand area for the kids, decor is cute and the facility always appears clean. I have not used any of the service options (in room or pool side) due to some really bad experiences prior to the change of ownership. During the last stay there was a music festival at the Queen Mary which is to say that it was difficult to get to the hotel and once there, parking was difficult and people were pre-partying around the hotel. We had dinner reservations on the QM and the woman at the front desk offered a golf cart shuttle to the ship. On our way to the room we watched concert goers jockey for a space on the golf cart and then proceed to sit on one another's lap to fit. When we later approached the golf cart pick up area we were relieved to find it empty. A person identifying himself as a manager informed me "this cart isn't working, the battery is out" and then he clarified that it was the only one they had. Lame. In the end we were able to get to dinner in 10 minutes via sturdy Louboutins and the walk path but I would have liked a more professional handling of the situation.
Beautiful view and location, and very nice room. The staff was very nice to deal with. The price was a little high, and the rug in the room should be replaced.
The staff was very courteous from the moment we arrived and very helpful the entire time. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Long Beach area in the future.
We especially liked the location and the service by the front desk. Fuego is a great place to dine. Unfortunately, we were placed next to a family that were loud and disrespectful until late night. The hotel staff tried to quiet them; however, it took many attempts. It was not the real fault of the hotel; but it did make our stay unpleasant.
Easy access to bus line ( bus line is Clean an convenient) takes you to downtown long beach. Free shuttle to cruise ship terminal. Great pool and pool bar staff. Cool/funky mayan theme throughout.
The views, particularly at night. It was undergoing renovation of one of the towers. Some noise etc. associated with that although it stopped by 5 pm. The staff at the restaurant was really terrible when I had a late lunch. I have stayed there before and enjoyed good service, but it was quite bad on this trip. I waited for at least ten minutes while waiters walked by me and waited on tables seated after I was. There were only 6 or so tables total as it was late afternoon. At one point my waiter talked to the table next to me about personal matters for about ten minutes and then walked off without coming by my table or refilling my water. My experience with all other staff was excellent. The restaurant staff is entirely responsible for the Okay rating.
The atmosphere, view and vibe was relaxing and incredible !! the guy at the front desk was really respectfull and helpfull and even gave us free fresh baked choclate cookies at check in and compt our parking for our visit , think his name was Noor ... Highly recomend and will definitley be coming back soon ! Thumbs upppp
Overall nice motel for the money. Only one elevator.
Same price as stripped down motels, but it has more of a hotel feel. Rooms have extras - fridge, coffee maker, iron, hair dryer, etc. Comfortable beds. Decent breakfast. Workout room, computer room, and a nice pool. Efficient staff. It's a comfortable place to stay.
The Disney theme picture frames and distance to Knotts Berry Farm. Also, the jacuzzi. Did not get notified when the shuttle to disneyland was leaving, so did not get the chance to experience that.
The breakfast was delicious. That was the best part of my stay. The carpet was torn and, dirty. Lots of stains. Ironing board was stained with black spots. Iron was burned. Couldn't use it.
I liked that the room i stayed at was at the end and by end i meant outside i went up the outside stairs and there was my room. Staff was nice. And room was clean. No one told us the entrance to the room was outside at the end of the hall. We went from one end to the parking lot to the other,so we could get the elevator to the third floor. Then go around the whole 3rd floor to find out our room was in front of where we had parked and we could have just gone up 4 flights of stairs at the most to arrive at our room.
I liked the cost, cleanliness and location close to theme parks. The maids kept our room clean while we were away so that was nice to come back to as well Wifi was horrible
The only thing that fidnt work was the phone signal and the wifi in our room
