It was an excellent location, and we loved the view overlooking the town and the street action below. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was just fine.
Very clean, nice and comfortable room and staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful. Very good breakfast at this hotel and service great. Great central location in Positano, near to city bus and coastal buses. Good value for the money. No.
We loved our private terrace with views of the village of Positano and the ocean. We liked being in the middle if the bustle of daily life. Our short walk to the town center and beach was appreciated. Enjoyed our breakfast on the terrace. Staff at Savoia were very friendly and helpful. Small shower stall.
The staff were very helpful. The hotel was ideally located close to the beach.
Rooms were lovely and the staff were attentive and efficient. A bit pricey, especially drinks.
Loved the location and the view of the beach No
It was a beautiful hotel tucked away in the cliffs of Positano. The views were magnificant I didn't like that we had to leave! :)
The location offers stunning views of Positano. The hotel staff were very welcoming and efficient and the room, although slightly dated, was very comfortable and quiet at night. We used a car which was collected and dropped off at the hotel for us whenever we needed it. We didn't eat an evening meal in the hotel but the breakfasts were delicious! All in all a very relaxing stay. make sure you don't get a room next to the lift!
OUr view from the balcony was amazing!! The pool staff was not very friendly. All the other staff were superb.
Location and View, restaurant
One of the best hotels we have stayed in and our holiday was an absolute pleasure Nothing
Friendleness of the staff of shuttle bus service the shuttle bus times could have been a bit more frequent
Excellent customer service.
Hotel Staff excellent except the pool attendant he had an attitude problem.Food and service excellent. The beds very uncomfortable
The view from our balcony! The beds were uncomfortable, but would still go back there again!
Rooms were as they were depicted; clean and fresh. Staff were very helpful in recommending excellent restaurants and taxi service made the evenings out so enjoyable as we could both enjoy wine with our meals. In room Internet was not working which meant we had to go to the lobby for access. This was a disappointment.
Loved the hotel & especially enjoyed the private terrace overlooking the Mediterranean Ocean. Hard to find such a good breakfast in Italy. Bus stop located in front of the hotel.
The location was nice. Good view from the balcony. The concierge was unfriendly. The concierge seemed upset since we did not use their driver for our travels in Positano. The bathroom toilet and sink were so close you could not sit straight on the toilet. The remote control for the TV only controlled the cable box and not the TV. The rooms were not cleaned very well each day. They never replenished our rooms with clean glasses or removed the used glasses and the floor was not cleaned daily.
Service from the staff, pleasant, cheerful and very helpful
We absolutely loved the view...it was wonderful to have when you wake of a morning! A man at Reception was not pleasant upon arrival (he was not wearing a name badge) and it did not make us feel welcome which was unfortunate being our honeymoon. As a travel agent I was quite disappointed.
great little hotel charming, clean little hotel in an Art filled environment. Centrally located, and helpful staff. Wonderful time there. We will be back.
Positano and the Positea Hotel are hidden gems along the Italian Coast. What a lovely place to spend a few romantic days & evenings taking in the sights, the people of the food of this lovely fishing village upon the rocky coast of Italy. Twin beds pushed together was a little bit of a turn-off, but they were comfortable and we made do.
Staff was helpful and kind, especially for Italians. Arranged car to transfer us to/from Naples train station. Location was a little high up in the town. It made the trek to/from city center and the beach quite long and arduous. Still, easier to access than other hotels.
Location provided a convenient walk to the town center. Staff was very helpful! Rooms were clean and spacious, but nothing special other than the view. Wifi service was unreliable
hotel staff and location
The staff recommended several great restaurants, and also helped set up driver to take us to Pompei. The scenery was magnificent.
The staff went out of their way to be helpful and were very polite and friendly. They made us feel very welcome. There was a very pleasant atmosphere in the hotel.
The view, the terrace, the cocktails and dinner, the manager and hostess, the breakfast. The staff was helpful. Was nicely furnished. The matress and the pillow.
Great hotel with wonderful views. Staff were very helpful. Also, hotel offers free boat trips, great bonus. Bathrooms are very small and showers are too tiny.
Beautiful spot on the Amalfi Coast, and a good choice if you want to be able to walk to town/breach/restaurants/etc.
the ambience of the hotel was magical and the staff were friendly helpful and so hospitable. the view from the bedroom was stunning. and the terrace off th ebedroom was a lovely spot to sit and relax at
The view from our room was fantastic, the buffet breakfast was also quite impressive there was a lot to choose from. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel did not offer a shuttle service down to beach. Bringing luggage down to the ferry was also quite difficult so we had to pay a porter to do it. This should really be included in the price of the accomodation.
The hotel was extremely clean and well looked after. Not luxury but very professionally run and very neat and tidy. All staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them. A very good atmosphere and a real pleasure to stay in.
I liked the location and the hotel staff. The owners were wonderful and very helpful. It was noisy.
This was the second time we have stayed at the hotel and being a family-run business it has the ideal mix of friendliness, helpfulness and peace that one wishes for in this ideal location.` We found our bedroom rather noisy as it was situated below the kitchens. We asked to change the room but as the hotel was fully booked it was not possible. Whilst slightly annoying to be woken at 6am it did not deter us from enjoying our holiday.
Location with fantastic view, excellent place for relax. Nothing!
The staff were really helpful. Breakfast was basic but had a great view. Was 10 minute walk to get to Positano and you could catch the bus back up. Great location.
conveniently situated-- friendly helpful staff--
Room and terrace with sea view were exactly as described to us on the website Wish it had a restaurant for evening dining
This is a wonderful easy-going hotel. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast good. The walk to the beach is 10 min and not too steep up-hill back. The room was big enough and the view from the room and breakfast balcony was absolutely lovely! The on-site car parking made it very easy.
Fabulous view, clean and tidy rooms, very friendly and helpfull staff Room was not soundproof, heard plumbing and people in other rooms
The terrace. The location.
The balcony to the room was fabulous - enabling us to thoroughly enjoy the view
The hotel has a wonderful staff (family run) and went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.
Loved the balcony and views!! Very comfortable rooms as well.
The views from the room were amazing. The balcony's were also a great surprise. They were very stingy about towels. They argued with us when we asked for another towel for the room (even though they gave us 1 less towel than the number number of people booked in the room.)
The amazing views from the balcony every morning and the relaxing atmosphere The beds were very hard and with two singles pushed together created an uncomfortable lump between my husband and I during sleep. Also due to the surrounding area there were ants in our room that needed to be sprayed each evening. Not a major problem as the hotel was amazing.
Beautiful view. Great beach. Lift broke - so we had to walk 400 steps up and down to room. Not fun when you are on vacation. Also, felt staff was not honest about when it was going to be fixed. We were told one day then the next. Loud hotel. You can hear your neighbors very clearly. Ac was broken - thank goodness it was not hot outside. We were told it would be fixed - never got fixed.
The location and views The stairs and the venicular breaking down. A bit shabby around the edges as well.
The hotel is in a fantastic location , the view from our room (609) was just amazing,, the free bus service takes you to Positano which saves you 30 euro return trip by taxi. The staff were always helpful and the food in the restaurant coupled with amazing views over the sea and Positano was very good. The private beach was good too, we were there two days and had it to ourselves for most of it.We will be back For 5 star we cant believe there is not a kettle and some tea or coffee in the room so you can make yourself a drink , room service is fine but pricey.
Amazing views but the hotel is very very dated and done with minimum amount of expense. Not good value for money -- it is 3 stars at the most
The best part of the hotel is the private beach. It's a bit of an adventure to get down there... taking the outdoor 'funicular', down some steps, then another lift....but once you're there, it's the most beautiful and peaceful place to relax, swim and sunbathe. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet every morning. It's only a small one but had everything we fancied - fruit, yoghurt, pastries, cereal, scrambled egg and bacon. Our private patio area was amazing. We had a table with two chairs on the upper level of the patio, and two sunbeds and an umbrella on the lower level. And the view was spectacular! The staff are so friendly, pleasant and helpful. If there was one problem I found with it, it's that the umbrella's on the beach aren't weighed down enough. Ours kept blowing over in the breeze.
Le Agavi is beautiful! It's set on the mountainside, just outside Possitano, Italy. The shuttle from the hotel takes you to and from the town.
Spectacular views, excellent service, and friendly staff. The beds were average comfort.
The location Pool not clean enough
the stuff is very very nice! they help you in everything. This hotel is well known in positano and everybody respect it and their stuff so when you get to a restaurant you get the best seat! The position of the hotel is great!
The entire staff was exceptional
Amazing view. Dinner was great. Wine tasting, Service was outstanding Need to improve breakfast. Service was good tho
Absolutely beautiful landscape, spacesious well furnished rooms, extremely friendly and efficient staff, very convenient packing arrangements, everything is excellent! We liked everything, only cardboard doors were a bit noisy and not fully convenient.
Hotel staff helpful and professional. Pillows were like rocks.
everyting about eden roc was beautiful. We loved our room, the view and the staff. The bed wasn't great, but easy to forget in such a great hotel.
The staff were very friendly, especially Simona. Location was excellent and the room was great! Antonio or Tony that made breakfast was very accomodating and his scrambled eggs were excellent. Thumbs up in all departments. I thank all the staff for the wonderful stay. Parking was a little pricey.
Great value for a four star. Fine location, excellent view and competent/friendly staff. Sould have informed in advance of 25 Euro/night parking charge.
Amazing staff, always smiling and cheerful. Nice views across Positano from the rooms...big spacious rooms with balcony...a refreshing change from the shoebox I had in Rome which was more expensive. 10 min walk to the beach, bus stop very close by so easy to get to Sorrento or Amalfi where you can catch the train to Pompeii, Vesusvius and Herculaneum. Would definitely go back. No complaints.
The hotel was everything that we could ask for on this part of the coast. The aspect across the bay from our balcony was spectacular and the suite had all the facilities we required. We ate a few times at the hotel in the evening and the food was always good. Nowhere in Positano is an easy walk but the Eden Roc is in a great position to get straight to the shopping. Best of all were the staff. Many thanks especially to Simona, Pascal and Carlo who could not have been more helpful. Nothing!!
Very helpful and personal service. Sitting out on the terrace relaxing with the wonderful view. We could always ask for something and receive satisfaction. The car parking lot was very helpful, so close and the attendants were courteous. Good value for the money spent. No
The view from the hotel is really amazing. The access to the hotel is difficult, there are too many ladders to get into it and also it is far from the beach/city center. To use the air conditioning, we had to pay 10EUR per day! The service at the jacuzzi area is not so good, we have asked for bruschetta and they brought it without knife and knappings. Further the bed and pillows were not confortable.
the cleanliness of my room was awesome. it has 106 stairs to it. Not very good for older people.
the View was absolutely fabulous room was small; many steps to get to the hotel
It's just a very nice hotel. It's pretty expensive.
The venue and location and the freindly staff.
The views are fantastic but that's because the hotel is way up the hill from the main town. The hotel is very nice. No complaints except maybe the breakfast could have been a bit more varied. Positano is fantastic. For me the best place in the area. I see other reviewers are praising the location! For me it was not good. Apart from the 100 or so stairs you have to walk up it is probably almost a mile uphill from the main center before you reach the stairs.
This is my second stay at the Conca d'Oro, and I will return again and again. The views are spectacular, the breakfast is ample, and the staff are helpful and friendly. Many excellent restaurants and charming shops are within easy walking distance along the winding road to the beach. The Hotel Conca d'Oro is a lovely retreat with large terraces and incredible views of Positano and the glistening bay below.
Spectacular views. The "Terrace Rooms" are definitely worth the extra $. Beautiful restaurant. Outstanding breakfast with the option to add eggs/omlet for small charge. Very helpful staff. Parking available close by. Comfortable spacious rooms. All around great value. 120 steps from the street to the hotel desk. Not for those who have very limited mobility. (This is true for most of Positano). Porter will meet you at the parking area to bring your luggage.
The hotel was clean, and the staff courteous and helpful. The food was very good also Access up the steps was difficult for some - but good exercise!
This is a great property and the view is fantastic. Breakast and evening drinks on the balcony will be treasured memories of our time there.
Outstanding views of the water and hillside if you have a sea view room Not really an issue but lots of stairs to get to the hotel
Location overlooking the bay of Positano was beautiful. The food at the hotel was amazing and the best we had in Positano. The staff, family owned, very friendly, helpful, and made sure out visit was good. The internet connection was very slow. I was on vacation but did have some tasks that required connectivity. This is a small nit, but noticeable.
Great location, very helpful staff. The view from the terrace attached to our room was magnificent. Great to have cable TV with a number of English channels.
Location; the public rooms were very lovely; breakfast was very good Rooms advertised as having a terrace with a sea view are in the attic. The room was very small and plainly decorated, with a sloping ceiling. There was a desk but no dresser to unpack some items. No pictures on walls; bathroom was barely adequate. When I asked for a second luggage rack, I was told only 1 per room despite the fact that the hotel was pretty empty. Wrong answer! During our stay, I needed to confirm a car pick-up via e-mail. I was told there was an internet cafe in town by the receptionist who was sitting by a computer.
The views from the balcony of room 5 were spectacular - everything I wanted. The staff was friendly, location of property terrific and the room was very, very nice with great terrace. Nothing.
The view and large patio was great
we stayed in a suite and the room was amazing with amazing views ... I would recommend this hotel to anyone..except elderly people,as the hotel is up quite high and there are lot of steps to the beach...lovely family, very warm and informative..great stay.. no
Everything! It is in a great location with beautiful views over the coast. The room was excellent - a good size, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great and the staff were really helpful when we asked questions about where things were etc. Very laid back atmosphere and everyone there speaks good english. To get to the town and the beach there are loads of steps but they really aren't a problem if you take your time. We are both quite fit and exercise a lot but they did make us a bit out of breath!! it's all part of the experience of being in Positano though so don't let it put you off!! only a tiny point - only 1 pillow each on the beds but that's a personal preference! Can't fault it in any other way.
Nice little hotel, perfectly situated in Positanos quiet part , family-run with a good restaurant.
Staff was very friendly. Excellent Restuarant. Location ideal for Positano. No. Everything was superb.
This is a family run hotel and all staff are very friendly and helpful. Restaurant was excellent. Our room (No. 6) had a spacious balcony with spectacular views. For a 4 star hotel, the bed needs updating
The staff was excellent, friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful waterfront room which appeared to be recently remodelled.
The location was perfect and the service was good with helpful staff and good breakfasts No kettle in room
The staff were friendly and very helpful in recommending and booking restaurants and day tours. The room was clean and with a beautiful view of the ocean.
view from room
Friendly staff, free internet acess, room upgrade, good breakfast. difficult to get to
Just being at the hotel was like a vacation in itself! The location was convenient and views from our room and the hotel was breath-taking The entire staff was always friendly, helpful and showed genuine interest in making sure we were enjoying our stay. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with lots of variety to choose from. The restaurant food was really good, better than I expected with typical "hotel restaurants". Not a thing!
Very convenient location (right by the beach and shopping) - however, as it is right on the beach, it is a little difficult to first get to with luggage (there are numerous stairs). There is a porter service that can assist you. Otherwise, hotel was excellent. Great service, lovely breakfast overlooking the sea and clean rooms. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay again.
The location. Right by the pier and beach. The shower at my room sets the standard of the smallest shower of a hotel in Europe. If you are a big person, make sure you ask for a room with a big shower. It was ridicously small. The room was very, very noisy, you hear everything from the rooms above you. Make sure you get a room on the highest floor.
Excellent location in the heart of Positano, no traffic, excellent and friendly staff, good restaurant facilities Few sitting areas for bad weather.
Location, location. Immaculate maintenance. Great views. Wonderful food at hotel and others just steps away. Desk clerks extremely helpful with every question and request. Would have liked some salami on the buffet. Otherwise, everything else was even better than we anticipated from info on the 'net..
The staff was very pleasant and the views were very nice. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. Very little hotel amenities, or at least no communication about what they were - no games for a rainy day, coffee maker in the room, etc... Finding the parking lot was challenging and getting from the lot to the actual hotel is difficult (2 elevators down plus 70 steps and through another hotel to get there). There were ants in the bathroom. While there were doors opening up to the sea, would have been nice to have a ceiling fan as the room felt stuffy.
The room was damp and cold with no ability to fix that. May be fine when temps outside are soaring but in variable months like April & May, you could be uncomfortable. Decent fit for budget seekers, not appropriate for comfort seekers.
Great location, relaxing view, nice breakfast. Not easy to get to.
friendly and courteous, fantastic location right on the beach and out of the busy part of Positano. All perfect.
Convenience and location to Sea and Port. No Entertainment.
Hotel Staff were very friendly, Very big rooms and beautiful view of the sea from our balcony. Lack of fridge in our room was a minor dissapointment.
The warmth and friendliness of Signora Lucia and her family. Signora Lucia was responsive to problems we encountered. and also enjoyed speaking to me in both English and Italian. The noise from the dining area carries to the close-by rooms in the evening.
excelent location the beach is very good
Close to town easy pathway, nice beach, friendly staff, good breakfast, easy internet access, pretty place. Many ants in the room
The ocean views. The bathroom really needed a shower curtain. We would also have liked to be able to get breakfast in our room.
The place truly was amazing. And the female host (Rosita) was more helpful than any other host we had on our 2.5 week trip. The view was outstanding, and they were so helpful making our time with them priceless. I can't say enough good things about this place. Just finding the actual hotel at night was a little tricky. It's not right on the road, it's down a long set of stairs, and tucked in along a nice walking alley.
Beautiful sea view. Also the view from the breakfast buffet was stunning. The hotel was small and neat, and very cleanly maintained.
The staff was incredible. Beautiful location. Our room was very clean; the only downside was a mouse found their way in our room but I guess that's what you get when you are in an old mansion.
the concierge Rosita was fabulous, very welcoming and warm and helpful in recommending great places to eat or things to do
Very helpful staff , and a wonderful sea view . Incredible service from the porter - how does he manage those steps ? ! The steps , in any direction , but if you don't like steps , don't go to Positano .
We liked everything about the hotel, the location and the view!
What did we like? Everything! Nicola, Rosita and all staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed for 5 nights in the annexe, the room was very spacious so easily accommodated three adults. Our terrace overlooked the sea, the breakfast room had a spectacular view of the town and the sea... the breakfast was abundant. You will have read about the steps.. well, it's true but that's part of the beauty of Positano. If you want tranquillity this is the place to go because you don't hear a sound. A tip re eating.. you can eat well and cheaply at the trattoria at the top of Positano, next to Bar Internazionale.. or if you just want a snack the bar has a range of tasty rolls and pizzas (the first bus stop coming from Sorrento).
This hotel was incredible! My husband and I traveled for our 2nd anniversary around Italy and Hotel Miramare was by far our favorite. The staff was so helpful and welcoming, the room had the most incredible view, we hardly wanted to leave our balcony! We highly, highly recommend it. Nothing!
Great view, could easily stay a few weeks. no
View of the superior room. The stantard room does not have any single window. We were not informed about ir when we booked the room. Once we did not like the standard room, we requested a update to the superior room, and agreed to pay the difference. However, later in that day, a woman from the staff told us that Miramaere hotel wants its guests to be happy and because of that they would not charge us for the upgrade (we could move to the superior room with no need to pay the difference). However, at the check out time, we were charged for the difference and an unpleasant discussion took place (staff members said they never promissed us anything), until they decided not to charge us.
A real luxury in a romantic setting!
It is so quiet and relaxing. The staff was great. And, you are so close to the beach.
Beautiful room and view and beautiful gardens
Beautiful hotel and gardens. Superb staff. Excellent location. Perfection.
The location and ambience. The balcony was a good size and overlooked the garden and the town above. The rooms were large. The outdoor restaurant area was very pleasant for breakfast. The internet did not work for some reason. There was some incompatibility problem between my computer and the wifi service. However a computer with internet was provided in a separate office.
Our magnificent view and the loveliness of the room itself. The staff upgraded us to an even better room for no additional cost and were wonderful. Nothing!
It was a great value. I would recommend it to anyone and I am used to 5 star hotels. (This was a 4 star.) The people couldn't have been nicer.
beautiful room, beautiful garden no
Location, garden, the room, view from the balcony, beauty of hotel & area, breakfast, people, the service - everything was perfect. Very romantic and restful. Absolutely nothing
Good restaurant and helpful staff. Great view from room. The rooms and hallways are in need of updating. Hallway carpets, room furniture and bedding need to be updated.
nice hotel in a good location
The restaurant had a limited buffet menu. There was difficulty getting food outside the restaurant rigid schedule.
The view was amazing. The restaurant should open to others not staying at hotel. Great food, would have liked to have friends join us for dinner, but they only charge to room and would not provide separate check for those not staying at hotel.
The comfort of the room, the excellent breakfast (with lots of varieties) No internet in the rooms...They don't have any kind of shuttle to get to the hotel. We arrived at the port and were told that we need to get up to the piazza and grab the local bus to get to the hotel. No big deal when you're without luggage, but when you're carrying heavy suitcases you really don't feel on a relaxing vacation. There is a Porter company that offers this service for 7 euros per suitcase. It's kinda ridiculous when you realize that you're off to a 4 star hotel and are going to pay over 150 euro per night. One would imagine that someone else would have thought about that before you... but no. Same for the way out, you have to carry all your luggage higher on the mountain to grab the bus back to Naples.
We were very dissappointed with our stay the first impression was very bad they try to put us in a standard room when we had paid for classic triple sea view. There was no sea view. The staff did not understand us lanuage barrier which was very frustrating. Rooms needed alick of paint black marks on the walls. Things we enjoyed were the pool and the room was cleaned every day. The cleaning staff were friendly the rest of the staff could take a lesson from this a smile costs nothing.
the scenery and pool area
The pool Location was a quite a bit of a steep walk from the beach, that was no problem for us although maybe for others
Facilities were very good with the tennis court and pool. Also the hotel location was excellent. There seem to be no twin rooms which can be a probablem if you are travelling with a friend. However the hotel staff found us a larger room but my friend still had to sleep on a sofa bed.
the veiw, the staf, every thing no
