Lounge view awesome went for the sunset and ended up going back for night cap and view of Phoenix at night from the mountain every night. Plenty to do golf, great hiking trails, tennis and great pool area.
Since you are literally on top of a mountain restaurants off property are not walk to but a quick 10 minute cab or car ride.
Resort was pretty and acommodations acceptable for price.
Narrow roadways and endless views of cars. I was unable to find a way to navigate through the resort without walking through the parking lots. Only room service ordered was a caesar salad with a total cost of over $20. Lettuce had just been washed, but not dried so it was watery with cold cut type chicken placed on top. Very poor especially for a Hilton.
beauriful view from the highest point on the property. Rooms are a bit stale and in need of renovation. Sink made weird noises that woke us up. Staff is mediocre at front desk.
Beautiful location and amenities.
We expected great services and top-notch amenities, but the staff and our room were just mediocre. First, we had to wait for 10 minutes to sign in. The check-in agent was tied up with a time-consuming transaction but didn't even bother to apologise for the wait, much less attempt to summon a colleague to help us. Bad form. Next, we paid for queen-sized beds, but our room was outfitted with full-size beds. Wah wah. It was late and we weren't in the mood for making a fuss, but it was just...shabby. Nothing horrible, just not good.
Nice views. In a very cool mountainous area. Free Parking
Rooms were obviously old and had the "old home" smell to them which isn't the most pleasant way of entering a hotel. Parking is also pretty narrow and somewhat annoying.
Different Pointe of View was great! It is pricey but the food was very good. The view is incredible and I recommend eating at sunset or the night time. Do plan accordingly because dinner took 2 and a half hours for 3 courses. They space out the courses nicely as to not feel rushed or too full.
So many kids running around the pool and splashing. The adult only pool was full so was forced to use the falls pool. If you have a room with a view be sure you wear flats/comfortable shoes you will have to climb up hill a ways to get to your room. They have a free shuttle but be sure to call way ahead of time. It made us 15 min late for our dinner reservation. The "falls view" was not worth the upgrade. You couldn't see the falls you just got a great view of the pool and all the noise.
Balcony pools beds
Poor cable tv
LOVED the pools, especially the main pool near the waterfalls. My king suite was very spacious, quiet and clean; very impressive. The resort is gorgeous, one of the best I've stayed worldwide. The views from the upper floors are amazing!
I did not like the mandatory resort-fee upon arrival or the refusal for my one-hour complimentary extended check-out request on a Sunday. I'm fairly sure the room was not sold for that day/night. The beer prices at the pool bars are absurd ($6.25 + TAX & tip) for a 20-oz TAP domestic beer is rather excessive for hotel guests.
Quiet retreat. Comfortable suite.
Convenience and value for money in a high class operation
Stayed in the Presidential Suite which was absolutley amazing. There was more then enough room for two poeple and the rooms were very nicely decorated. Not mention, we were within 20 ft of a pool and fitness room and had no issues with parking the entire trip.
It was quiet and serene...not very crowded.
We stayed in a Presidential suite and had a lot of nice room to visit with my son and family. (big living room and large dining table and chairs, bath and a half, large master suite with balcony and bar area). The kids enjoyed the pools and water facilities. The facility is older, but is kept in good shape... Off season pricing was great!
There was a small frig. in the bar area that was filled with hotel snacks that were very expensive. There was no microwave.
out of the way....
Everyone was really friendly. The hotel was clean and offered all the amenities we desired (golf, swiming for both kids and family). An area to allow the family to gather and talk.
we were billed incorrectly for our room. We were billed at $211.65/night which was higher than the rate on the booking.com confirmation. I have sent an email to the Pointe Hilton to ask them to review our bill vs a copy of your booking confirmation email.
The Cliffside Resort was beautiful with a gorgeous view of the city. We especially like the hiking trail at the top of the resort which had a panoramic view of the city. The patio view was also very nice.
I did not like the fact that we had to worry about extra charges that were added on. We paid over $100.00 extra than we originally anticipated. It makes the experience less pleasurable. The cleaning staff tended to be slow about cleaning the rooms and left stuff laying around.
