Very friendly and helpful. I needed some documents printed and the gentleman was able to print them for me
Front desk was friendly and informative at check-in. Room was clean
Air con was a little fickle. It was a long wait for the elevator as it usually had staff using it. Decent breakfast but split between 2 rooms- only coffee available 24 hours, not even spoons or napkins
Everything. Very rude customer service only gave me one washcloth for 3 people, just horrible
Clean and convenient. Quiet rooms and parking usually available on site.
Breakfast was ok but the coffee was terrible.
The comfortable bed , room and location.
The smell of the room .
it's location (2 subway station to Manhattan). The Quality/Price (incl breakfast)
the carpets in the passage looks dirty and/or old
Room were comfortable and always clean ,stuff at front desk were helpfull try always for the best .... Very close to hotel the subway , next block...
Well terrible worst ever traffic during the breakfast ....and variety of breakfast were really really very very poor , just american ....donuts donuts and again just donuts...
The hotel was ina good location to get in and out of New York really easily.
There was not enough room for breakfast, it got extremely busy as there was a limited amount of tables and chairs.
Nice and budget hotel, perfect for exploring the city (close to the subway). It offers also breakfast and internet connection, which is great. We loved it :))
in general I don't have complaints at all..
The breakfast was ok, although everyone seemed to appear for breakfast at the same time and the size of the breakfast area was totally inadequate for the amount of people staying. One of the girls working there also arranged for a $10 transfer for us to JFK which worked out well, much easier than using the subway system to get to the airport
The staff - the girls working there were pleasant and helpful but the men working there were so rude and generally acted like you were a nuisance to them. The location was intimidating but it was only a very short walk to the subway station. After the first day or so we got used to the atmosphere around the subway station. The carpets were so dirty and disgusting in the hallways. Would not stay there again or recommend it to anyonel
The hotel is newly opened, all the rooms are very clean and new. Free internet access. The complimentary continental breakfast buffet is for U.S. standards ample, only the breakfast space is too small for the hotel. Comparing the prices of other accommodations in NYC, I can totally recommend this hotel for younger travellers, as there is good subway connection to all midtown and downtown attractions.
The hotel is in a not so nice neighbourhood, with women walking in broad daylight with crowbars!!! Bumpers missing on vehicles and the cab drivers telling us not to go out at night.....
excelent location, rooms with a view to the skyline of manhattan. 5 minutes walk to the subway, then 10 min. to the heart of manhattan. clean, good service, free parking. fully recommended.
Nothing at all. I was booked to stay 4 nights and left less than 12 hours after check in.
This is not a area of town that you could go out and walk around. The hotel staff told me that they would not let there spouses or sisters walk outside. This is not a joke. Gangs hanging out on the corner looking at your car like they are going to strip all the parts of it like the Ford minivan less than 100 yards from the hotel on the same street. The staff could not speak English nor were they trained in their new jobs. Our room only had one tv channel and they said our tv needed a tuner. To make things worst, while I was there the entire hotel was rented out during the G20 summit. It was rented out to a group that was fighting to free Iran. I would never stay at this hotel again and I have asked Howard Johnson for a refund.
Went to Coney Island, Brooklyn, Greenpoint, Manhattan
It was in a horrible part of town, not at all where the bookings.com map showed it to be.
