Location is great. Close to everything but the way property is set up quiet at nite and exclusive during day. Also gives you access to Southern Most area via their B and B. Staff at beach were wonderful and very courteous and hardworking. Kyack asked would I prefer a room with better view or more space and extra towels I received none of the above. Room service cleaning was very late in day. There were days I did not think they would show at all.
Absolute perfect location to experience all of Key West! Big bonus having the option to enjoy the beach/ocean and the pool. Will stay here again.
I liked the view from our room, and the restaurant attached to the hotel had great food. the town itself was excellent and beutiful. very over priced tho. the price was very high for what you get. The staff were only alright. the front desk staff were great, but the servers in the restaurant were very unpleasant and dident seem to care. although the food was great, the servers were not.
We had a problem with are air conditioner. They dispatched an in house maintenance person. He explained that the unit was frozen an they would get a HVAC specialist asap. The unit was up an running the next morning. This all happened Sunday eve around 7pm. We were compensated for our troubles. .
The hotel has its own beach. Lanai view was parking lot with plants taller than patio.
Room very nice, loved the beach. Always enjoy the jazz in the evening, location excellent.
The spa was terrific (we went back for seconds) and the live music at the pool-side restaurant was lovely. This hotel was a bit pricey, considering the level of service.
Wonderful view from the room of sunset island and sunsets, awesome pool with great drinks and bartenders that'll bring them to you in the pool, great staff, very helpful and knowledgeable, loved every minute of staying here!!! Leaving
My visit was due to a wedding I attended at the resort. Location was beautiful. Overall the staff were helpful, kind and considerate. The room housekeeper did not understand English and I was unable to get items requested of her.
the location is perfect, right in the heart of everything. The decorating is whimsical masking the garage. the pool area is comfortable and friendly. We were able to rent great bicycles right there.
The location was great - right near the pier and overlooking the ocean. Our room was large (we were in a 1 bedroom suite), but everything was dated in the room. Plus, I found some leftover trash from what I imagine was the previous occupant in the bedroom so seems like housekeeping was not very thorough. Staff at the front desk was ok, but not incredibly helpful, just average.
Room was spacious and clean. Our room had no view; we were practically on a parking lot with cars parked a few feet away. We had asked for a quiet room with a view and we were supposed to get a "view of the Old Town". "Island view" means looking out on a car park! The room had a connecting door to another room and we could hear all from next door (and they from us). Front desk staff quite rude: if you book with Booking.com, you'll automatically get the worst rooms, this is what you get if you go for their low rates..., we were told. There is no beach, just a small pool. However, we were able to leave after 2 nights.
Attentive and responsive staff. The 4:00 am rooster, friendly bird but took his wake up service very seriously. Being located at Mallory , the 5:30 am dumpster collection finished any further attempts to remain in the comfortable bed. Great facility, noisy location.
The location was great, staff at front desk were friendly, the pool area and the rooms were all good and comfortable, bathrooms were nice. Overall very good experience The cupboards in the rooms under tv (518 and 520) were very tatty - chipped etc not good for the image and price we were paying
Pool is awesome. Nice rooms. Location is also great. A little difficult to navigate hotel.
Best location for Key West. Every thing is close by, Not cheap but worth it.Would stay there again Restaurant was closed on the last day of our stay. No idea why.
Customer service and staff was excellent. The view of the Golf of Mexico was paradise.
The location of the resort is better then most, the one LCD/Plasma TV in the room was nice, and the bedding was comfortable. They failed to notify us that the hotel would be under going various construction activities during our stay (water pipe repairs/changes, elevator nearest room didn't function, etc... or that we would be forced to endure daily the excruciating noise of rigs pounding in 100'+ metal beams immediately adjacent to the pool as part of pier repairs. The concierge's changed daily and apparently make a considerable amount of money from referral fees/commissions paid directly to them by vendors providing any and every type of service (boat outings, dinner reservations, car rentals, etc...) to the tourists. This resulted in Concierge B on Monday providing us completely different recommendations then Concierge A had on Saturday. This was so extreme it would have been comical had it not left me with absolutely no faith that any of them were actually interested in meeting my/our needs which is really the heart of what I did not like about this hotel and did not feel was properly represented in the comments shown on Bookings website. This was merely one stop in a lengthy vacation my wife and I took for our 15 year anniversary, but it was supposed to be the highlight as we were there for 10 days and willing to pay for the best of the best throughout. In all reality it was clear that if we had just drove up for the weekend we would have received a better rate and room.
The location, decor, and service were excellent, and the amenities were most pleasant.
We were greeted in the office by Scott and Dennis, both of whom were very welcoming and friendly. They answered our questions, showed us around the property, and were more than helpful in getting us situated. The location is tough to beat -- it's a block off Duvall St. and walking distance to the waterfront (and if you're planning a trip on the Dry Tortugas ferry, it's a stones throw from the marina). There's no parking on site, but they offer a reduced rate at a garage a few blocks away. The property is beautifully maintained with modern conveniences. The bed was comfortable and the adjoining porch was enjoyable in the evening. Keep in mind this is a block from Duvall Street and no amount of sound proofing can remove all of the noise drifting by on the street. It was also a bit on the pricey side, though not out of character for that neighborhood.
I have stayed at the Cypress House a couple times now. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. The room I stayed in was very comfortable and clean. Also, the location is great being a couple blocks from the best bars on Duval Street. Nothing
Liked just about everything! The beautiful historic property is well located just steps from Duval Street and within easy walking distance to all attractions yet peaceful and quiet for sleeping at night. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are beautifully furnished, there is a pool, and an excelled full breakfast is included as well as a two hour open bar each evening. Only 28 guest rooms and easy to meet very nice fellow guests at breakfast and evening cocktails. We were first timers, many of the guests we spoke with were repeat guests, and we will be too. There is also a pool, and can sit around very nice patio area around the pool. We liked everything, there was not anything to not like!
