Excellent staff who always go the extra mile. We found the rooms to be very clean and comfortable, and the pool areas were great. Delicious food and the most amazing cocktails we've had- couldn't ask for a better hotel!

Only 2 slight issues were a shortage of sun loungers and the air con in the restaurant was too cold- we wore jackets to dinner!

Staff were super friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Roberta at reception was really sweet and helpful as we're staff in the bar, despite our lack of Portuguese. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the facilities were great. The lift in and out of historic centre was really useful and saved us from getting taxi's.

It was too far from Paraty city. Despite the hotel offering transfer to and from the historic centre at no extra charge, we felt too far from restaurants etc. As it rained for most of our 5 nights and the road leading to the hotel became a muddy bog we felt cut off as it was impossible to walk anywhere. Our room was very noisy. We could hear people in the room next door using the toilet, showering, vomiting! We were woken up 2 mornings at 03.50 by someone's alarm going off! If you want peace and quiet don't stay here. When the hotel is very busy it feels like there are a lot of people in a small area.
