The rooftop pool, truly outstanding with a beautiful view of Athens. The location, although not a particularly nice neighborhood is close to everything and steps from the metro station. The pool hours (10 am to 6 pm) are too restrictive if you're traveling on business.
The room and bathroom were beautiful. Comfortable pillows. Great pool and jacuzzi with stunning view. Sundeck equipped with comfortable loungers. Less than 5 minute walk to Omonia metro and 20 minute stroll to Acropolis. Great breakfast (better selection than most London hotels). Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. Pool shuts at 6pm which is far too early. Surrounding area is not the prettiest.
I liked the comfort! The dangerous location
the relaxed and friendly atmosphere created by the staff
Hotel itself was very nice-rooftop pool overlooking the Acropolis. New and modern facilities, workout room, breakfast room. Front desk staff were very helpful once you got to talk to them. There was always only one person working the front desk so you always had to wait in line for service at busy times. Location was in a questionable area but convenient to subway. Restaurant was rather pricey.
Level of the employees Wi-Fi only in the Lobby (always crowded with more than 10 people trying to use internet). This is not acceptable in the level of the hotel.
Central location Bedroom and fittings need a good spring cleaning
Received room upgrade (thank you) and was very pleased with location .... only a couple of blocks from underground and thus good access to sights and airport. Breakfast good - staff helpful !! Athens itself is dirty and polluted - transport strike by underworked and overpaid public servants doesn;t make you feel that you'd want to return anytime soon.
The staff was very courteous and helpful and the rooms were very nice! The pool closed at 6:00PM which was too early if you wanted to enjoy it after a day of seeing the city.
i think the location it was one of the main reasons the fact that there was
the reception is super cute with the mini cooper reception desks and the design of the hotel is very artistic. my room had a batman painting on the wall. not hanging on the wall, ON the wall. well the only thing is that the doors make these weird alarm sounds when u're entering, and the morning of my stay someone's door alarm had gone crazy and i was woken up to have to call the reception to help turn it off.
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Gave us good ideas on where to go for dinner and booked the restaurant for us.The hotel room was very pleasant and trendy. Our wake up call was late by 20 min. I believe there was a confusion from their side and we got the wake up call when the taxi was ordered for.
The decor was really unique.
Wonderful staff and service, lovely breakfast, great location
Nothing The rooms and facilities were not of a 5 star standard as advertised. The surrounding area was not very pleasant.
Hotel in the centre and rooms as quiet as on the countryside. Price of the breakfast at EUR 20. I don't eat that much to make up for such an elevated price, so I went out for breakfast.
Hotel stuff were very reliable, helpful and cheerful. Also, it was a fast-speed internet access in the rooms, that is quite unusual.
Location was great, very close to Monastiraki Square for lots of shopping and good eats. Staff was very helpful. Would have loved a pool, but knew we weren't getting that when we signed up. Great value. Would stay here again. Would have loved a pool, but oh well! Everything else was great!
the food in restaurant the noise in the rooms
Over the top design hotel which makes it a different and fun place to stay. Big breakfast buffet. If you have a design hotel (or any hotel for that matter), maintenance ought to be a high priority. Unfortunately this is not so much the case. The room was fine, but the svimmingpool in the basement was really dirty and worn down. Rather a shame.
Staff helpful, clean. Room was a bit small but worked
The restaurant in the roof and great breakfast
the staff are absoloutly perfect the location is realy bad,on the street at night there are prostitutesshouting all night and very unsafe feeling coming back late at night, even the taxi drivers where shocked by what happens around the hotel at night
This hotel is located in a very bad part of Athens. When we were checking out and going to a different hotel, Fresh Hotel refused to provide a refund for the day that we did not stay.
Rooftop bar/ restaurant with views of the Acropolis. Room was clean with the 3 beds we requested. Location was convenient to all tourist destinations. Bed was not super comfortable.
For the price, an excellent hotel. Very modern and stylish, with great facilities.
Location and price for the main advantages of this hotel. The immediate neighborhood is a little bit seedy, but this did not bother me.
Nice central location
Roof deck, attentive service, location
They have a very nice breakfast. The difference between a standard room and a luxury standard room is virtually zero. The rooms generally are extremely small. The hotel is situated in a dirty, rough part of the central city with prostitutes and thugs on the street. Management seems to believe that their guests are lucky to stay there. I gave this hotel a second chance about a week ago. Never again.
I thought the hotel was great, nice modern interior, fantastic location, 5 minute walk to Monastiraki Square, room was pretty spacious and the rooftop pool was small but still refreshing after a long day of touring. The breakfast was fantastic, a great spread! The pool was a bit small and the rooftop bar was pretty overpriced, but otherwise no complaints!
This is a well run, very contemporary, hotel with excellent amenity ie gym, breakfast, restaurant, good sized rooms. We arrived very early (discharged off cruise ship early as they do) and the hotel staff found an (upgraded) room for us to use immediately for our stay. We found the staff very helpful and friendly. Try the greek yoghurt and honey at breakfast! While the hotel is well located for accessing the Acropolis area (30 min walk) and the pedestrian mall (Ermou), it is in a 'downmarket' area of town adjacent to Central Market. OK during the day but our two taxi drivers warned us to take care at night. The surrounding area lacks restaurants but we used the hotel restaurant on the top floor with view of Acropolis.
Everything was perfect for our stay.Staff was very friendly and informative. The location was close to all the sites that one would want to see while visiting Athens.
The staff are extremely helpful and accommodating to ensure you are safe, find your way around and connect to the right resources. The location is a little noisy with market shouters and men milling about but luckily no traffic noise. Feel the threat of pickpockets in the area, but I didn't have a bad experience.
The hotel was new, and extreemly clean. Rooms are small, but its all you need! The staff were friendly and helpful. Location was great, just enough out of town to be quiet, but we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. Highly recommended! being new not many taxi drivers new the hotel, if you ask to be dropped at the food market they usually know where you are talking about
The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly, warm and welcoming. The rooms were stylish and comfortable. Beautiful view from rooftop.
As usual, staff was very friendly and responsive to requests. Excellent breakfast, comfy and very clean rooms.
Price / Benefit balance was so well. This hotel has a so good location at the centre of Athens and you could walk to everywhere that is touristical. I and my friend travelled with metro only one station every tour. It has a good panoromic view with Parthenon on the roof. Internet connection is available, rapid and free of problems. Bath and room are narrow for 2 person but there was advantage related with this that you could find everything your nearest :) Unfortunately, there isn't parking.
It was a boutique hotel which is very smart and lives up to the photos. The immediate location is not so good though. The immediate vicinity of the hotel is not great (ie next to the food market square) however it is only a 10 minute walk to the tourist centre
Very nice and comfortable room + bathroom. Very clean. Very good breakfast. Excellent wi-fi internet connection. Very convenient location. Everything was perfect.
Very friendly and helpful staff. We stayed in one of the suites on the 8th floor - it had a great bathroom and lovely balcony, which we could watch the nightlife from. There is a great rooftop with an amazing 270 degree view of the city including the acropolis. Fantastic for watching the sunset. Breakfast was really nice. It is a about a 5 min walk to the nice, touristy part of town. It is just on the outskirts of the nice part of Athens, but still very safe. The price and location are fantastic. The elevator seem to take a long time.
The view from roof terrace is fantastic. The Acropolis view rooms also extremely good. Hotel is clean and well equipped, with pleasant staff. Breakfast is very good. We booked a twin room, specifically asked for two beds on booking form, but were given a double for the first night and had to change next day.
I liked most the perfect location within the city center - not far away from Metro station and from ancient places. And - the hotel is very nice and clean. On the first impression the area does not look very attractive or even "dangerous" but even during night there is no harm => just go for it.
Excellent location, polite and helpful staff.
Good central position. A perfectly adequate hotel but only for a short stay Poor sound proofing in bedrooms!
Very clean, great room. Friendly staff and good location.
nice room , clean and as expected no wireless or atleast no info about it... and a very very shitty area
? The hotels 3rd floor flooded so they moved us to a different hote. It gave us a different choice of restaurants and was in the graffitied section of town.
staff were excellent. the overall experience was great.
The hotel is close to metro station Omonia and metaourghio which was very easy for us to move. The breakfast was a great buffet . The street from Omonia going down to the hotel are full of strange people ( seems that they are taking drugs, drinking beers etc. and made us scared to pass the street.
Fairly central, although area between hotel and square a little on the rough side. Staff extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
Friendly people,Very good for the Greek standards,4 minutes walk from the Metro very good for the price 100% pleased.
Location , near to Metro , and a reasonable distance to walk to some of the city sites Breakfast choice was limited
The staff was very polite and helpful.
Very good location overall good,Staff very helpful and courteous
Breakfast was great Room size good Friendly staff Good wifi
Good Hotel, was nice to stay there! Close to the market and metro as well to the city centre.
Personal muy amigable, eficiente y servicial.
The breakfast and the staff were excellent. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The walls were thin and you could hear your neighbors. The bathroom was very poorly set up. There was no door to the shower so water got all over the floor. If someone was using the toilet and another person opened the door, it would open onto their knees. The toilet paper holder was located in an awkward position behind the toilet...hard to reach. The hotel is located in a rather rough neighborhood.
The view from the rooms is amazing. The service was really good. We consider the hotels' roof garden with it's great view relaxing atmosphere a great place for food and cocktails. It's close to the center of Athens and we had easy access to the metro(Omonia Station). We highly recommend the Bistro next to the lobby for coffee and evening drink. If you visit Athens and you are looking for a pleasant stay,go to Polis Grand Hotel!!!
service value no wi-fi access
Polite Reception Stuff. Price! Definetely worn out and shabby, not 4*! Breakfast was of poor choice, and there was too much noice in my room!
Very good hotel facilities, nice roof garden!! Value of money as a four star hotel.
The location is great, only 3-4 minutes walk from Omonoia square. The view from the room was amazing, Acropolis and Lycabettus Hill. The bed was very comfortable, and free wireless internet!!! Small thing that isn't worth to mention. The value for money is very hard to beat.
close to Metro subway. close to Metro, but bad environment. Too laud to sleep. Window sound insulation is terrible.
Not sure this hotel is worthy of a 4 star categorisation. Room was very small and the shower inoperable
Great staff Room 245 is a little shabby in the bathroom ie loose taps and tatty ceiling paneling
The friendliness of the staff especially in the breakfast room. Olive Garden staff very friendly even at 2 a.m. Kyraikos Zinoviou at recepion was exceedingly helpful.
The bar/restaurant on the top floor has an incredible view. There really isn't much in the surrounding area for restaurants/bars.
I liked the friendliness of the staff, they were very helpful and on-point for all my requests and questions. The view from the executive suite is amazing, you can take a shower while looking right at the Parthenon! The standard rooms appear much nicer in the pictures provided. Our first room had a view of the "guts" of the building i.e. ventilation units, water tanks, pipes and little to no sunlight. We then requested to be moved to an outside view room and was given to us with no charge. Was a bit better than the inner view room but still nothing like the pictures or our expectations, so I ended up paying 100 EUR extra to be relocated to an executive room that was more than perfect.
I like very much the olive garden restaurant and food there. and good location of the hotel I didnt like a food at all.
location no free internet
Comfort/services Outside noise
The location was perfect The hotel promises internet and wifi but once you get there, they tell you that if you want internet in your room you have to pay for it and it is expensive!!! The room smelled of cigarette and the bathroom smelled of stale mold. The staff was impolite, at best, except for Adonis at the front desk, he was extremely courteous and helpful.VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE!
The service was very good and the people that they work there very friendly.
rhe lobby was cool from 70's The room from 70's too and needs total renovation Should have a pool Still charge for internet And gave no option for late check out.
I did not like the fact that when I booked a triple they said they would not allow my 6 year old son to stay in the room. they considered him a fourth person. he is a very small six year old. to go to a quad, the price went from 135 euro to 260 euro. that is a big jump and I do not feel like the room was worth $416 us dollars for the night.
It is well located. from the hotel is possible to walk to all interesting places in Athens
In not so good neighbourhood, but this beautiful building hosts a very nice and good value hotel. The bed was very comfortable which is not often the case.
Helpful staff and big rooms. Excellent location but there are some thieves in the area, be careful! Bathroom was small.
Very comfortable room and good breakfast No mini bar refill
I liked the view out onto the neighborhood and the comfortable atmosphere of the restaurant. It was not far from being in a the wrong neighborhood at the wrong time. For one who doesn't know, it could make him/her/them feel uneasy.
cold floors in the room
Not in a very nice part of town, rather scary leaving or entering specially in the evening. I would not classify as a 4 star
Great staff, good breakfast, 15 minute walk to town. Kinda looked sketchy when we first drive into town but really was safe and very clean and nice hotel. And parking just down the street in a garage for $8 a night!
Breakfast could be improved: better orange juice and coffee and some fresh fruit.
Nice, friendly staff and a central location. Our room was old and needed a revamp. Mattresses were extremely hard, not very comfortable.
I liked the staff, very friendly and helpful. I liked the room and the breakfast was first class. I liked the location and the price is reasonable. Nothing
Very helpful and friendly staff. Pleasant decoration style.Good breakfast. Close to metro station. Good for business trip. Some problem with the water pressure.
Close to Omonia square, metro etc Breakfast was not as good as on our previous trip i.e.scrambled eggs swimming in oil, fresh fruit either too hard to eat or overripe and inedible.
Very close to Omonia Square ( Metro ) and shopping center, Hotel was clean, nothing to complain about, Very nice staff. i would stay again. Bed Mattress was hard , but ok. Elevator very small and no ventilation in it. Breakfast very poor.
The staff were very helpfull. The room was clean and modern. The hotel is at 2 min walk from the omonia metro station. For a hotel in athens it's a very good quality/price i am satisfied and if i have to go again in athens that will be the hotel that i will chose. safe choice in athens not the safest neighborhood but nobody bother me.the view from my room was creepy
Proximity to the subway and downtown area; the room had a nice terrace with view; the nearby construction was apparently discontinued and we enjoyed a quiet milieu; the hotel staff was excellent. Located two blocks from the Omonia square abundant in unpleasant people; in the middle of the room a pillar was sited, making dangerous walking to the tiny shower room; there was no bidet and no shower curtain.
It's a nice hotel, with quite good facilities. It's also clean but there are some problems like the noise in the second floor due to the cleaning staff and the elevator. The location is really but and also there are some rooms on the hotel that a lot of noise is been making. Although it's a good solution for the money you pay for.
We used triple occupancy room and found it was spacious enough. The hotel looks like newly renovated and very clean. The front office staffs were very helpful and friendly. The shower in the bathroom is too small.
Good value, generous breakfast, good vistas from balcony, central location, easy to reach from Amonia Square and subway. Ice cold air conditioning. Helpful and friendly staff. Quirky, and tiny (3 persons max) elevator
kind personel space in the room, internet, and good value for money floor not so clean,
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The buffet breakfast was great! Location wasn't anything special - but hotel made up for this! The location is in a fairly run down area but not the worst I've stayed in!
Close to the subway // just the right fare for this medium class hotel // desk clerk Cannot pay by credit card at that time // the location (small street with odd people) <- this explains why this hotel is not very expensive
The staffs are very nice, the price for the hotel is really competitive and valuable. although the wireless is free, but the way to connect the internet is quite trouble, almost every few mins need to enter the user name and pin to connect the internet. That is quite waste of time
Nice room, clean and close to all the sights.. Area is a bit scary at night
Friendly stuff. Dangerous area
location, friendly staff and informative with tourist information
Decor was unique, staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Eileen was helpful! They made us a breakfast two hours early before time because we had an early flight. The room was small, which in Athens is understandable, but the furniture was too big for the room. There were two a/c units in the room, which we didn't know one didn't work. Missing remote for the working one, and never cooled the room down. The phone didn't work until staff said we had to jiggle the cords. The area of the hotel wasn't the best, but the price reflected.
The staff of the hotel is very friendly and service minded, even at night they provide you with internet wires, drinks etc a tiny criticism , the breakfast coffee is really not strong enough.
The personell were very polite and they were trying to help you all the time! The breakfast was very good and the location of the hotel excellent. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were excellent. Great value for money definetely recommending it!!
Excellent staff, friendly and helpful. Exceptional room. The area around is not the best, but quite close to main attractions.
The hotel is great. The staff very friendly, nothing is too much trouble and theie English superb. On the day I left there was a taxi strike and they offered a car free of charge to the tube. The breakfast is very good. The rooms quite large and very clean. Internet connection in the room is an added bonus. The Art Hotel is a little away from the Plaka near Omonia. It is a 15 minute walk to the main tourist sites. The 5 minute walk to the tube takes you through an area frequented by prostitutes. I felt safe at all times and was not hassled at all but this may make some people feel uncomfortable.
The hotel staff were very friendly and we were greeted with a complimentary drink on arrival. The hotel rooms and deco are very fresh, bright and modern. The hotel is located in a rather rough part of town with lots of people hanging around on the street.
The surrounding area is horrible.
Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The common areas of the hotel are beautiful. Room was spacious. A/C worked exceptionally well. Bathroom was large. Room furnishings a bit dingy. Minor problems such as burnt out lightbulbs, no remote for the TV, shower drained very slowly. But for the nightly rate all these things were worth it.
The friendly welcome received after the while it took to get there was really pleasing, free drink and informative talk of where to go and what to see. Nothing bad about the hotel itself, just the outside location of poor quality but then again most of Athens is of poor quality.
friendly staff, short walk to Acropolis, cosy rooms and nearby parking garage.
The air conditioner kept the room quite cool, and the staff was helpful. The shower facilities were slightly basic.
That there were beds for all four of us. worn down room with dirty carpet.
Close to Metro. Room did not have a hot water kettle.
did not look like pictures on the website.
The staff were so nice. Free internet. Good breakfast. Near Metro station, 3 stops to Sytagma. A little noise because our room near the street
Nice, welcoming staff, good buffet breakfast, close to metro station and the city center. Inexpensive hotel, good value for money.
Old. very often out of order elevator, terrible neighbourhood by night and really poor breakfests.
There were misquitoes in the room from the bathroom window with no screen. I could not sleep well from the aggravation
it was cheap. But for a reason. It's good to get a night sleep and shower. Supposed central heating or cooling was horrible. Being a very cold November night. We froze the whole night The area around the hotel is very bad. Lots of what seemed like druggies. Not safe to walk around at night at all.
surroundings and bathrooms. they need reforming.
it is close to turistic destinations the neighbourhood
The breakfast was good.
all was ok no
The Hotel was great, staff very helpful the breakfast was good. Free Internet. but on the downside is the location which is not the hotel's fault. but a 15 minute walk will take you away from the gloom. Also Taxis from the hotel are quite expensive, during the day about 50 Euro and at night can vary from 55 to 65 Euro. Take the Metro or Bus!!!!!!
Staff was helpful, room was clean, hotel was easy to find. The wireless internet connection was frequently going off.
cheap price the location
The service was outstanding. Very friendly and helpful staff. There is a cockroach problem on the second floor, we had to move to the 5th floor.
Good service in the reception.OK breakfest Lots of mosquitoes in the bedroom. Not a nice area.
Nice room environment, large balcony, clean, prompt and amiable staff, free internet service. Dirty surroundings neighbourhood.
