The location is unbeatable. From the rooftop you have an outstanding view of the Tower. The hotel is on the older side. Many of the rooms just need to updated and renovated.
The room was elegant, excellent Restaurant services in evenings could be improved to the same level as the rest of the hotel.
The hotel is in perfect location very close to the leaning tower of Pisa. Lorenzo the front desk receptionist was very helpful & has excellent rapport. The rooftop restaurant has a excellent view of the dome & leaning tower & sunset but was not impressed with the waiters & has a limited selection of dishes.
location and service
The staff were very helpful and the location is excellent as its around the corner from the Tower and Duomo etc. The lack of a working air conditioner! This was a major inconveience in the torrid heat of a July night. We arrived late (around 1a.m.) and by the time it was apparent that the all the airconditioner could do was make lots of noise it was too late to get the matter resolved. As we were only staying for one night I cannot say if they fixed it in time for the next occupants.
Very high standard of accommodation in a most convenient location. Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was excellent.
I especially liked the location and got a great view of The Leaning Tower of Pisa from our room which is within a three minute walk.
Fantastic location if you want to be close to the main monuments in Pisa. Bed's were very hard.
Its location and the proximity to major sights in Pisa. The hotel offered reasonable facilities for the price charged Poor information on how to access the hotel by car. For a first time visitor to Pisa the need for authorization to access the city center is no obvious and the hotel could have given advanced assistance by providing suitable information. The breakfast room staff seemed to consider serving was a favour provided to guests rather than a paid for service!
the hotel was perfectly located for the square, it is a lovely hotel, yes it maybe old fashioned but thats what gives it its character, we were very happy with it.
Excellent location- 2 minute walk to the Tower of Pisa and easy reach to shops. Staff are extremely helpful. Highly recommended.
Location very close to the leaning tower of Pisa, the barman was an absolute star, like a favourite grandad, you want to take him home!!! We were given a fairly poor room off a corridor behind the bar.....We didnt really pay very much so cant complain,I think there was a conference going on so maybe they got the best rooms....Anyway it was quiet(for Italy)!!!Shower was extremely poor and small(more water on the floor than anywhere else)..
View was wonderful. Tower just across the road. Breakfast was basic, could do better.
Across road from Leaning Tower & Cathedral. Cd not be more convenient for them
Near the leaning tower and busstation to airport, espresso at the breakfast. Price is high, a lot of traffic-noise, breakfast was very simple.
The hotel was fine for a overnight stay. Not very happy with the front desk support. Though good value for money & exellant location.
good location, very close to the center
atmosphere poor breakfast, some ham and cheese would be good to have
This is the hotell that i never will visit anymore. The noise from the trafikk was terrible.
Excellent value for money. The manager was very pleasant and helpful. The location was truly excellent as it was just across the road from the cathedral and tower and very close to restaurants and the old town. The breakfast was also very good with meat and cheese, yoghurt and fruit. The heating could not be controlled so was on very hot and we had to open the windows to keep the room at a comfortable temperature.
Nice hotel, nice staff, good location. Nothing
the view from the room noisey with being on a main road. not a very good breakfast.
The hotel is located in the old part of town, just 5 minutes' walk to the Tower and cathedral. It has a very good restaurant. The staff were extremely helpful.
The staff were very helpful and the room was lovely. The conservatory area of the dining room was very cold at breakfast (it was a very cold day!) and I did not like paying six euros for a coffee and seven euros for one standard glass of red wine.
excellent location to city center, pleasant staff, good serviceand a very rich breakfast.very nice terrace to have breakfast. small rooms needs plasma screen for TV.
Tranquil and accessible. Bedroom rather small
Dining in the garden The food was poor
The friendliness, helpfulness and professionalism of the staff. The sheer beauty of the hotel. The breakfast. The eccentric light switches
Outside breakfast area was very pleasant. The staff were very helpful. The room was tiny which is why I only put 'fair' for 'value for money'.
The location of the Hotel was fantastic. Extremely close to the Tower but in a quiet street. The room was quite small, but they do warn you of this!
near the centre of Pisa sites We did not feel that it justified its 5* status. At dinner they had a tasting menu that we were interested in but they said we would have to pay the full price without any discount although we were on 1/2 board. Also the dishes we did select did not arrive with their accompaniments on both dishes, mine supposed to have a carrot flan not there. we did mentin this to the staff and they said they would remember for next time! The deluxe room we were given was smaller than a lot of 4* that i have stayed in
nothing was to much trouble for any of the staff they made you feel very welcome
Staff was very nice. Room was comfortable. Bathrooms modern. Location was amazing. Didn't have breakfast becasue we had to leave early, so I can't comment on that. FYI - You need to remember to turn in your key whenever you leave the room. There wasn't anything I didn't like.
The hotel is really close to the leaning tower and the breakfast was good! The room was big enough for group of people or family. i didn't like the mosquitos that it didn't allow me to sleep.
We stayed for one night and the location was amazing. You walk out of hotel and within a 2 min walk you were at the tower. Th breakfast was basic but enough. Rooms are a bit old but work
The location is excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpfull. Being located at such an rather crowdy place, the atmosphere was very quite.
The view of the Pisa Tower from the window, even if only the upper part Wireless was only in the breakfast room and was 6 Euro fro three ours. Room was small and so was the bathroom
very friendly staff, and cannot be beaten on the location! ony one person serving breakfast, so was a bit busy, but hey, this is the part of the experience!
The view from our room - number 42 (i think) was amazing. Room was large and clean with comfy bed. Staff were not that friendly and breakfast is basic
The staff was great and it was easy to find. The rooms were clean and ours had a terrace. The shower stall was tiny, I could barely turn around in it.
Beautiful town in the mountains. Beautiful location for the hotel. no english tv
Superior rooms located over Plazza excellent rooms extremely noisy early in the morning from 6am with road sweepers and 5.30am on thurs with set up of market in the square
Excellent location - not far from the Central Station (by foot about 20 min.) and the Leaning Tower round the corner. No breakfast, helpful people at the reception desk, free shuttle to the airport!!!!!!!!! Value for money.
Clean but very basic
The staff was very friendly and helpful. In addition, the location is fantastic to see the sites.
It's location in Pisa is perfect, on lovely street and very near all tourist outings.. It had sky tv but only a few channels in english, a few more channels needed as tourists need a rest and relaxing time now and again from all the walking.
Staff is nice and helpful. Hotel is in the center. The price is quite highe.
Helpful staff members, extremely close to tourist attractions and retaurants Lack of dedicated parking places, hotels inabillity to offer breakfast and extremely cramped en-suite facilities.
The location was superb! Just 100 meters from the tower in Pisa. The breakfast was not the best, at the time for our breakfast they were out of youghurt and fresh bread.
The proximity to The Leaning Tower of Piza. The staff were friendly but not intrusive. Breakfast could be better
great location close to sights, very good breakfast, nice patio
I liked my room and where it was located with regards to the Tower. Decent breakfast and close to lots of things including a supermarket just down the road. Oh and there is a McDonald's "literally" underneath the hotel rooms. That worked out for me as a good thing in a pinch. Well the location does have it's drawbacks. I was in room 9 and found myself wide awake at 5:30 due to the street sweeper making sure the place looked great for the upcoming day. I'm not sure if this is a daily thing or just every few. If it is a daily occurrence, then I'd have a hard time sleeping in. The internet access is on a basis of created login and password. It has a lifespan of only 3 hours. I would assume this is because of the McDonald's being directly under the hotel and people stealing WiFi bandwidth. The only problem with this is that if you use if for an hour or so and then leave your computer, go to check it again in a few hours, you have to go downstairs and get a renewed un and pw. Not a huge deal though.
situation rooms a little bit old
Hotel staff very helpful. Easy walk to Leaning Tower, but quiet. Good breakfast. Easy to use public transport nearby. Sense of style. Unobtrusive modern art. Confortable bed. Nice terrace. Good local restaurants and pharmacy.
200m from Pisa tower Living in attick without window
very close to Campanile di Pisa!!
Good report quality/price, excellent location for visiting Pisa. Breakfast could be improved from variety point of view. Unfortunately just near the hotel terrace there is a Mc Donalds and the bad smell of fast food makes the terrace almost usefulness.
close to tower i was told they could not accept anything but cash even though i only had a credit card. receptionist told me to take cash out on credit card which cost me money. the booking was made with my credit card and it stated that cards were accepted. one member of staff was particularly unfriendly and unhelpful. toilet clean but in bad state of disrepair. no bar or restaurant even though they are publicised. no tea coffe making facilities. lots of stairs but no one to help with luggage
the best location to visit pizza.
Clean, near by the tower of Pisa... Had to pay for the parking that is available in the open street in front of the hotel (so why is it specified as having free parking?) ... I will go there again but without a car cause it's like 10 euros more per day... A lot I think...
The location of the hotel is perfect for visiting the leaning tower.wi fi in every room.friendly staff. The hotel is very, very basic, no lift, no ensuite, toilet at other end of corridor. Bed was very uncomfortable.Very dissapointed.not value for money.
The room was lovely and the staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. It is a small hotel so doesn't have a 24hr reception but in return gives a family type welcome. The restaurant was very good too and the staff there were also lovely.
It's a clean and nice hotel, with wi-fi, very good located. In one of the days we stayed there, we enjoyed a very rich breakfast at a 5 star related hotel. The reception is open only a few hours a day.
The hotel was easy to find and the room comfortable, clean, very attractively furnished and decorated with excellent bathroom/shower. Lovely. There is no one available at the reception desk in the morning. Although possibly an unfortunate but "one off" problem, the one member of staff who serves breakfast was late to work so breakfast was not available until well after the published time. The taxi requested the night before was not called until after the time it was expected to arrive. These things made the morning time before an air flight rather tense due to lack of time.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely room. Great location.
The bathroom was excellent - always a big plus. The location is right in the middle of Pisa - five minutes from the main shopping/restaurant area and the tower/duomo. The bed was a bit hard, but the room was beautifully decorated and came with a plug-in mosquito killer. The series of automatic doors can make it feel like a James Bond set! Arriving after 9pm, you have to check in at their sister hotel a ten minute walk away - a difficult task in car-hostile Pisa and something that makes it all quite complicated, especially if you don't have a detailed street map of the city. They're all very friendly when you get there, though.
in the centre of the old town of Pisa and a car was not needed. Directions to the hotel were confusing
Our stay at the hotel was wonderful. Fab location, lovely breakfast, lovely room.
Location - very close to major sights. Small and intimate hotel
breakfast room was very cold
The rooms are very very interesting. Clean. Antiques. Well stocked. Great location. Very roomy. We didnt realize, nor was it advertized well, that the apartments are shared. You have another party sharing the common space but you have your own bedroom. When we checked in nobody told us this. Surprise!! But if u are ok with that...10/10. Cheers.
No No Staff, No reception. Hotel is on fourth floor and without lift
Our stay was very plesureable one, perfect location for all Pisa tourist attractions and nice walk away from the central train station for all transfers. Also nice located away from the airport. THey was nothing we didn't like during our stay.
The location is excellent - right beside the Tower and restaurants. The entrance to the hotel is on the 4th floor and there is no lift.
Fantastic location just 50 m from the Leaning tower, wonderful owner who picked us up at the airport at no extra cost at midnight, excellent room and free internet access Breakfast could be included in the price
The help was great! Very friendly and helpful. The room was worn out; there were too many beds and though the room was large it was not comfortable.
The location. It is a B&B and no hotel. Beds were broken, which is dangerous because I need physiotherapy to fix my back because of the incident. Furthermore, the owner/staff is unreachable and unfriendly when you need them. So bad service, big mess with administration. Besides, the shower and toilet seat were broken. Annoying sound of boiler in the bathroom when sleeping.
very near Leaning Tower...just a few steps away
very near pisa tower, good access to restaurants no lift, no double bed.. only 2 single beds joined together
The room seemed newly renovated and the bathroom was nice. First impression of this place was not good, a lot of dirty old stairs welcomed us. Staff not so welcoming either. We got placed in the place "next door" which in fact was waaaay down the street. So you are no longer under the tower... The main place had coffee making facilities and a honor bar. This place nothing. The back door of this room did not lock, so it was not so safe and the area behind the door was filled with dirty laundry and trash. Over the main door to our room it was open space. So anyone could jump over, with help of a chair, not very safe huh? I do not recommend this place.
Location is convenient Some thoughts about the owners: Oh the owners... they are really tired by all the tourists and probably they are in the wrong business... They rent something like 5 to 7 rooms at their own home and at the same time they don't want to bothered! Thats about 10 people a day that they have to avoid...They expect you to arrive between 15.00 and 19.00 otherwise they keep your money and you stay out of their property (check some of the previous reviews)! I made the reservation based on the location and the good average rating of something like 8.5. At that time I was thinking that it was a real hotel ... At arrival we found nothing but a closed door and a ringer that nobody answered... So I checked my confirmation mail just to be sure that we were at the right place and that was when I came across a strange email... Dear Guest: I would like to remind you that the check in is available from 3.00 PM to 7.00 PM. After 7.00 PM , you will not be accepted . BR The Owner Wow!!! I did not know what was more appropriate to laugh at this impossible message or to cry. Anyway I realized that time was exactly 15.05 when a young man came (probably an employee) called the owner named Patricia who was the whole time INSIDE the building but just didn't mind opening the door or answering our calls!!! The young man asked Patricia which is our room and she gave him instructions. So that was pretty much the only interaction we had with the hotel staff. We quickly left our luggage and headed for the city. Next morning we made what would soon be proven to be a very bad decision... we decided to prolong our stay in Pisa and head to the nearby villages. As you probably guess we were alone at the hotel and nobody answered our calls so I payed for our second night through the booking site, received the confirmation and left a written message at our door explaining that we payed for a second night (time was 10am). At 16.33 I received an sms from Patricia the owner: I'm sorry but your Bill isn't pay. You luggage is in the living. Ciao ciao Tried multiple times to call her back but she never answered so I forwarded her the confirmation letter just to verify that everything was payed and informed her that we would be back by 10pm. We were back in town by 9pm. At the hotel we met Patricias spouse who told us that they re-arranged our things in another room in the first floor but quickly after we had to confront Patricia that acted like crazy!!! Saying impossible things like that she had not eaten dinner because of us an all the time she were referring to us in Italian language saying very inappropriate things and she wanted us out!!! So Patricias spouse re arranged again our things in yet another room in the second floor without any windows with the bathroom outside and so small that we could hardly stand. Guess this was something like a punishment for being late... Because of text size limitations I'll make it short Patricia refused tho give me back some personal items of me like mine travel kettle... We called Police to help us out but that didn't work either... Patricia refused to meet them All ended with Patricias spouse (who identified himself as a policeman) threading my spouse to be careful because "the dog didn't like her" and HITTING and PUSHING my spouse out of the front door!!! We spent a whole day in the local police station and hospital... to be continued.........
