clean breakfast included close to New Paltz Village without being too close easy access to main highways Entrance is easy to miss on Terwillinger Street
It was a good value for the money, conveniently located and had a surprisingly good little breakfast for such a small hotel. Suggest that you advertise Free Wi-Fi because we almost cancelled our reservation because nowhere was that listed! The fact that the hotel was under renovation and had no hot water-rather inconvenient!
The room was simple and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful and the price was right. Lots of cigarette butts outside despite the receptacle provided. That's on some rude guests but a sign or two might help.
The staff was very friendly The biggest problem was the HVAC unit in the room. The mechanicals were so noisy that I was awakened every time the unit went on. It sounded very very dated. Another issue were the dust mites that got my allergies going. This was not unexpected. Overall, the hotel was an inexpensive place to rest my head that is need of an update. In a pinch it would do.
Everything was great! Great value and perfect location to visit the SUNY New Paltz University!
It was a basic room. I would would only stay for one night tops. There was hairs in the bed and on the bathroom counter. The sink wasnt draining from the very beginning and once it filled with water it started leaking from underneath and counter. We used the garbage can to put underneath to stop it from flooding all over the floor.
Checked in after the 2 PM check-in time and was told they were just readying the rooms then. Door was difficult to open since clearance was too low. Deadbolt on door non-operational. Worse issue was the mold in the bathroom. Toilet did not flush enough to empty. Tried to check out the following morning but lobby was locked. Went outdoors and tried ringing bell several times at lobby door. After 20 minutes, clerk came to door in his bare feet (walking through breakfast area), seemed annoyed that I had awakened him (even though by that time it was about 10 minutes prior to when they said breakfast would be out). Did not stay for the breakfast. Saw that the cereals were kept out in dispensers when I checked in the earlier day so I had doubts about their freshness/closure from insects.
The New Paltz Rodeway Inn & Suites was conveniently located, with easy accessibility to the highway and a short drive to the college, yet it was quiet at night with no road noise. The rooms and public areas were very clean, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The hotel offered a standard continental breakfast in the morning. I understand that this property has recently come under new management and the new proprietor is eager to continue to make improvements.
Not much. Dirty sheets, odd smell, hovering staff over the poor continental breakfast...
Outside is nice and renovated. Front desk curteous. By far the dirtiest room I've ever stayed at and I've stayed at a lot of cheap motels. Table was sticky and had crumbs on it. Dirty dirty floor seemed it had not been cleaned in years.
Out of all the hotels in new paltz, it's the least of the rundown hotels. Linens are disgusting--bring your own. Large dark red stain on the teal fleece blanket. Disgusting.
Clean, cheap, free breakfast (very limited, but I did not even know it included one). Really hard beds, water smelled (I do not know if this is a hotel or local issue, but the water was very bad), had a funny smell in the room when we arrived (it seemed to lessen with the AC running or maybe we got used to it).
Parking, mini fridge We checked in late and didn't realize the torn up cpndition out side. The second floor had exposed plywood from unfinished construction. We had to ask for towels for the room, there were none provided. Carpet floors in our were stained. Definitely not worth the $160 we spent for one night.
The office area was very clean and modern. The staff was very friendly. The bathroom was actually the nicest thing inside the hotel room. It was clean and modern with a small soaker tub. As you first approach the hotel, you'll see a strip joint to the left and bare, weathered, plywood on the outside of the building facing the main road. (The picture that they have on their website, does not look like what it does now.) Our room was on the second floor. The steps to the second floor were uneven, and we're covered with cheap, weathered, worn out, outside carpet. At the top of the stairs, the floor was covered with bare, weathered plywood and in some places it looked rotten. I was afraid to walk on it, but I had no choice because I booked it with Hotels.com and it was too late to cancel the reservation. The room what stinky and the beds were hard and uncomfortable.
no hot water for a shower from 5-10PM
