Was hair in my ice tray but it was a peaceful stay.
The location was great. Close to Georgetown, Dupont Circle and a reasonable distance to the mall. The restaurant served a good breakfast. Large comfortable room.
We arrived near midnight. The valet parking at that hour is handled by a rather rude and indifferent man in a security guard uniform. Check in was rather slow. WiFi is extra.
Whenever I'm in DC, (once or twice a year) I always stay at the St. Gregory. It's centrally located in the Hub of DC action with convenient public transportation to anywhere within walking distance from the front door. Love the food, drink, and freindly smiles and banter of the doormen. The computer equipment in the business center can use some updating though.
Very nice rooms and staff
room configuration location amenities
leaky faucets that no one fixed check in process - couldn't find reservation for our second room, and parking valet unavailable lack of utensils and plates in kitchen area
Location is excellent, room was quiet and comfortable, which was all I needed since I did not spend much time there.
When I booked, I was sure that hotel rate included "wifi" since that was listed on the confirmation I printed out. Turns out "wifi" just meant that it was available at extra cost. Why "luxury" hotels charge for this is pure greed since discount hotels don't.
The size of my suite, the quality of everything in the room, & how everything was set up was great.
They didn't have the king size bed we wanted.
nice place nice location
Staff was super friendly, manager Chris made great food recommendations, room was clean, I enjoyed everything about my experience and would stay there again.
Didn't get the suites I booked.
We stay for a night. When we arrived, we were welcome by the staff member at the door. Then, we were directed to the check-in desk. The staff was friendly and professional. We were satisfy with the service from beginning to end.
The hotel does not have parking, so the rate offered was a bit too high. However, we found parking on the street.
we ordered a king bed. ended up with a twin bed.
Attractive hotel, upgraded to a suite. If you have an SUV, you have to park in garage next door, but it's not an inconvenience and it's less expensive.
Called for towels, never received. Called back and informed front desk that towels weren't delivered, we were going out for the day, please have housekeeping leave extra. No extra towels were left by housekeeping. Called for a 5AM wake up call for day of our departure at 9PM the night before. We never received our wake up call.
It is very conveniently located to many restaurants and shops just steps away from where I wanted to go during my recent brief visit to DC.
Room could have been a little larger and the charge for Wi-Fi was antiquated. I would stay here again, but have stayed in nearby hotels for the same price with more amenities.
Staff was amazing. Very helpful.
For the money they charge there should be a pool.
Quality of room. Very old
Rooms were clean and comfortable. Excellent dinner one evening, though I received the wrong order. All worked out fine, decent location in the business district, close to DuPont Circle.
$12 daily charge for wireless? Outrageous...should be free, or pay one time. Absolutely inexcusable in 2014 to charge this fee.
They didn't try to add crazy charges onto my bill, as many hotels do, and they had a fairly competent staff. The location was great, the price was great, but as someone who used to live in DC, I know I could have paid a little more for much better quality at a chain hotel.
Unfortunately, I didn't like most things about the experience. I was willing to pay a low rate for lesser quality, but for the reason that I was planning on being out for most of my weekend in the city. I think the only "luxury" thing about this hotel was the doorman, and even that was inconsistent. Pillows sucked, room looked gaudy, heating system was difficult to control, room service stops at 9pm, very little sound proofing between rooms and in the hall, and overall, not a very welcoming experience. I once lived in a tiny Russian apartment, and it felt like either that, or what I imagine a hotel straight out of the 70s would look like. Just a weird stay - would not recommend it unless you think "gaudy" is "classy."
