Very convenient location to the old city, close to good restaurants, very friendly and knowledgeable staff .
Luxurious room, friendly and helpful reception staff, good location Bar staff mostly absent and were not attentive
Excellent location, friendly staff, the room is great (roomy, clean, nice lcd tv), esp. the beds, which are extremely comfortable (what they call "mybed"). Even though the price is not too cheap, we still find it's great value for the money.
This is a lovely hotel in a lovely city. The hotel is in a great position for shopping and for seeing the sights of Dijon. I would highly recommend this hotel.
The staff were very accomodating and the location was great The lifts!!
Know what to expect, expect Sofitels to be excellent! Usually have great resturants - Dijon's had an excellent one. The staff were very helpful..
A great, clean, comfortable and central hotel and with free garage parking! Restaurant is well worth a try, also. Will stay again for sure!
the restaurant poor satellite TV
Nice location, close to city centre.
The price and the location The beds: the matrasses are very hard for the back; the rooms are extremely miniscule.
Upon booking, we requested a room with bath. We arrived at about 4 PM on a bank holiday and hotel reception was closed until 5 PM. When we returned later in the evening, the only room available was with a shower. This room had been renovated and was very clean, but also quite small and noisy. We requested to change rooms the following day and we liked that room much better. Renovated, quiet, with bath and a bit larger. We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and thought it offered good value for money. Very basic (including the breakfast), but all fine if you take into account the room rate.
Very good location with easy parking. Very helpful staff None
this hotel is wonderful, and pascal is a gem. my room was spacious, clean, simple but almost modern in its design. brand new/renovated. probably could have paid much more for what I got. highly recommended
The room was really good as it had been recently refurbished. It appears the refurbishments are taking place progressively through the hotel. Parking was easy to find close by althought that may be because we arrived on a Sunday. Annoying that while check in was advertised as from 3.00pm the reception did not open until 5.00pm the day we arrived.
The location is very good The staff were also very help full. Ithinkthe breakfast Pricesfar to expesive and that makes you loose bussines from custmers who are alread your guests.
We had a great stay! Dijon is a beautiful city and this hotel is just 10 min walk from the historical center. We stayed in a renovated level of the hotel (just 8 days after it was completed). The room was small but clean, modern and neat. Ask for the top level room, when you book. (They are renovating more end this year) The hotel owner is a friendly French man and he will answer all your questions and provide you with a city map. We took no breakfast -too simple to be worh 6 euro!
It was good value. Simple hotel, but everything was ok and breakfast was included. It was not easy to find a parking space nearby. 2nd floor was under renovation.
We stayed in a newly decorated family room, which was very clean, tidy and comfortable and a good size. The staff were very friendly and helpful with parking and supplied ample information about the town centre, restaurants etc. The hotel was situated in a pretty and quiet road but within walking distance to the town centre. I had a wonderful night's sleep there. There is nothing I did not like, but I don't think all the rooms have been decorated to this high standard (yet?).
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Close to rail station and city centre. Hotel was excelent for the price. Nothing specific.
The town was alive with a music festival, when usually Sunday nights are very quiet. Also friendly and helpful staff. Turning the power switch on, that just looks like another light switch was not obvious.
Very close to the city center. The hotel has no parking but the have and agreement and you can park 24h for 6.5 EUR.
Big room, friendly receptionist. Leaky shower, shabby breakfast room, broken coffee/tea machine at breakfast.
Location to the Train Station. The furniture in the room had been updated but shame the walls were not painted, they looked cracked and dirty , plus mould on the shower door. Also the walls are so thin I could hear the person in the next room thinking!
This is a good hotel very close to the main train station - less than a 1 block walk. Also convenient to stroll to the historic downtown. The tram that circles the city stops right in front. Marvelously helpful clerk at the front desk. The breakfast is the bare minimum that one might expect.
Large room; comfortable; staff very helpful Street noise
We apreciated the kindness of the staff and the cleanliness of our room. The only thing that we dind´t like is that the hotel is not so close to city center as we´ve imagined. It´s about a 10 min. walk.
The location - this hotel was two minutes walk from the bus/railway station (which was convenient) and five minutes walk into the town centre. Shops and restaurants nearby. I requested on the booking form "A room with a view (if possible)" but was given a room with partially opening frosted windows. The room was gloomy and smelt of cigarette smoke. The 'view' was of the fire escape of the adjacent unoccupied building. I asked at the reception to change rooms, which they did. The second room was bright and airy, with double opening windows, small balcony and a good view. The breakfast was expensive for a cold buffet. €8.50
Comfortable room, good facilities The only drawback: the parking of hte hotel is in a different place.
Very clean. Decent pool. Strong WiFi in lobby. Reception switched us to a room that received the WiFi signal. Across the street from the gare train station. Walkable to sights in Dijon. Most rooms don't receive WiFi signal. Rooms are very small. We stayed July 2010 and there was loud road construction just outside.
leaving, I was reading a book recently that described the slums of Barcalona and I now know where the writer got his inspiration The room that was too small to have a wardrobe, a toilet with a shower in it that was too small to include towels they had to be left on the chipboard shelf in the roomthe threadbare carpet on the old staircase , the broken banisters
An ok hotell in the middel of old Dijon and in walking distans from all the historic sights. We had a big loft room with 5 beds. The hotel is old and not in the best om shaps. The shower did not work and the rooms felt damp.
Staff very pleasant and helpful. None, except the weather!
Great location and friendly. The children liked the garden. The room was large and accommodated the 5 of us easily. No lift, therefore had to carry heavy cases to the very top of the building and given it was a spiral staircase made it more difficult. Also, the stairs to our room I.E. no. 21, were quite dangerous, particularly when you came out of the room. If it were an elderly person staying in the room, they may well have tripped.
Vey helpful, English-speaking owner. Nice breakfast. Easy walking distance from the center of Dijon, on a bus route from the satation. Comfortable beds, good sized room. Very tiny shower room (impossible to dress in)
Friendly, helpful staff. The public areas of the hotel including the courtyard garden were lovely showing off the age and history of the building. The family room which we booked was adequate in that it was big enough for the five of us with 3 single beds for our children. However it was in need of refurbishment and redecoration with old carpets a broken shower attachment and no shower curtain.
This was one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in during my (many) travels. The manager and her husband were so warm and helpful, this made a big difference to someone who travels solo. The other staff were similarly pleasant. Also my room was nice and quiet and comfortable. The location is good - only five minutes from the centre of town, but quiet, and close to a bus route to the train station. But the best thing was the friendliness of the place.
friendly staff. owner lady speak english.
Michele, very friendly and helpful, breakfast great, personal service good
special experience of the hotel with his old rooms reformed to comfortable rooms!breakfast was poor.car parking available for only 3 cars ! street parking possible but you must pay every 2 hours. free bus to the center of Dijon for everybody! rooms walls are so thin.
The breakfast was very good and the desk staff was excellent
Location is good. The room was very nice, but a litle oldfashioned. You have to ask for the parking lot key every time you need to park your car. And the entrance for the parking is in an other street, behind the hotel.
Bar closed too early - we arived at 10:45pm and it was already closed
very friendly staff & just a stone throw away from the city centre the room was clean but old, a renovation would be nice. the parking is quite narrow.
Needs upgrading to withstand their status.
Good location, very close to the train station and to the city centre. Quiet room. Internet works well. We were two people but several days staff only left one bath towel!
nothing accept for sleeping - breakfast was ok they were not rude but unhelpful and it was a bit old shabby it didn't feel as though it had been thoughly cleaned for a while but it was tidy and neat
Courteous and helpful staff The shower had very poor water pressure and the surface of the bath was extremely slippery and dangerous
The room was very clean and quiet and we enjoyed a very nice continental breakfast served in the room - with no additional charge - Difficulty to open and/or close the windows and shutters
Very convenient very clean
The decor in the shared spaces and the backyard bar-b-que gave the hotel a feeling of comfort. The kitchen was well equipped and there was a great boulangerie 2 doors up. The initial difficulty of getting in and out of the building as there is no one on reception between 12 and 2pm and access is only through access code. A few more instructions about access when booking would have been helpful.
Friendly staff, good location. Other noisy tenents
Excellent location close to the railroad station. Good for the price. Room and shower very small.
Price and Location - we visited our daughter who studies in Dijon. They had a very friendly staff and it was comfortably near to the inner city.
Great location close to railway station, but not so easy to get to by car (one way streets). A short walk from tourist sites. Free wi fi. Car parking available (xtra E10), but a nightmare for various reasons! The room with the A/C had a fridge but it did not work. Very noisy from the street on Saturday night. One smokey room out of the two, despite asking for nonsmoking.
I found the room to be cosy and comfortable with good beds. Neat and tidy and tastefully decorated. Bathroom and shower also good. Staff were helpful in every way. Great value for money. Location excellent. No fridge or tea/coffee making facility. Couldn't find an English speaking TV channel. Saturday night so a little noisy (no fault of Hotel).
Not much, close to the train station, but not close to the tourist part of town I felt terribly un-safe in this hotel, the bathroom was disgusting with mold everywhere, the doors where difficult to open and close, all noise in the hallway and stairwell could be heard in the room, no air conditioning, no pillows, mish mosh of hangers, i.e. felt like Salvation Army, not close to tourist area of town
The hotel was conveniently located within walking distance of the train station, tourist offices, restaurants, movie theater and everything we wanted to see in downtown Dijon. For a very low price, we stayed in a huge family room that had two double beds plus a single bed and bathroom, with plenty of extra space for spreading out. That is rare to find in European hotels! We enjoyed the breakfast, which had a good variety of breads, jellies, cheese and meat, yogurt, fruit, apple sauce, cereal and hot and cold beverages. The staff was friendly and helpful and able to speak English with us.
Great location, good value for money Item lost from bathroom due to 'accident'
Good Location. Near train station and places to eat and shop, as well as close walking to local tourist destinations. Lack of parking.
The staff were very friendly The bed was not very clean
The hotel is clean and the staff is kind A bit far from the city center more expensive compared to other hotels of the same level where we have been in France
The restaurant There was no indoor pool as stated on booking.com and was the whole reason for us booking this particular hotel - so we were extremely disappointed.
Excellent Restaurant Rooms were dull and in need of updating.
Swimming pool was just the thing needed after warm trip Restaurant very costly
The location and the friendliness of staff
Good location, lovely room and wonderful staff None
Very modern, clean rooms. 10-15 minute walk to the historic centre.
More or less central, City-Ticket included, staff very friendly and helpful, room not too small, gratis parking. Interior fairly outdated and needs some renovation. Breakfast is not usual quality you will find in Mercure. Would only recommend if not charged full price. Otherwise you find reasonable and comparable room for less.
My partner and I are vegetarians and while in France we found it very difficult to find any food that did not involve meat. However, the restaurant manager at this hotel was very sympathetic and arranged for a meal to me made that was not on the menu. Fantastic! The only complaint I have is that the room smelt slightly of damp.
This hotel presented excellent value for money. It was close to all the main attractions of Dijon. The room was large by European standards for hotels in this price range. The bathroom was new. no
Very good location near railway station
Helpful staff, excellent breakfast, lovely view from room to courtyard, great location
Very friendly, helpful staff. Very nice room. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room would have been nice.
Reasonable price, quiet and clean City center location, getting out of the city and on to our route was a nighmare due to lots of road works and diversions in the city centre
Comfortable and clean room. Quiet area of town. Nice courtyard outside the front of the hotel gives a tucked away feel to the place Very noisy building - from my room you could hear every step taken upstairs/next door/along the corridor, and every word spoken at the reception desk. I was woken up constantly during the night and again at 7am
The location was good, near the Metro and several restaurants. Our room had a small balcony and overlooked the rooftops of Paris! The hotel was well maintained but the E7.00 breakfast was unexceptional with coffee from an automatic machine and breads that were less than fresh. The day shift front desk clerk, while not rude, was unfriendly. All others smiled and were very helpful. We were there for 4 nights and my travel partner had her purse stolen. The staff directed us to the police and American Consulate and were empathetic. Replacing a passport requires a police report, alternate ID or copy of original passport and $135.
The hotel is near the touristic points (walking distance 15 minutes) and restaurants and shops. The hotel staff is nice and explain to you what to do in the city, the directions... I could use the internet. To enter the passage where it is located is quite difficult if you have a big car. For the first time they didn't know about my booking reservation but the problem was quickly solved. Breakfast is not bad but could be better with small changes since this is a gourmet region and nothing different was offered.
Location and parking The room was far from what I anticipated a 'superior' room to be. It was cramped and dated with a small double bed. Glad I was staying for only one night.
Good central location, but in one way system. Attractive central courtyard. Room much smaller than expected, overlooking busy street; took upgraded room overlooking courtyard. Dinner: food over complicated and not wonderful.
Free easy parking; cheerful breakfast staff. Small room (called Superior); outdated bathroom; stained lavatory
Located very close to the old centre of Dijon where sightseeing opportunities are best. Restaurants were in abundance.
Hotel was spotless and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Restaurant was not cheap but prix fixe was very good value for money. Well situated for old Dijon and very pleasant courtyard garden. Very quiet. Only previous point about needing better map or directions from station.
Excellent room, good location and parking.
The hotel was very nice and very comfortable with very helpful staff. The breakfast was very good.
We found the hotel ideal for exploring Dijon, the location being on the free bus route is a bonus. breakfast was adequate but could be improved by using a local boulangerie.
The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. We arrived around 21:00 and was looking forward to eating in the restaurant but it had closed minutes before.
Location is excellent, kitchenette is convenient for travel with young children, good and helpful staff. Parking is public, so need to walk from parking to hotel that may be inconvenient if you have luggage.
Great central location, friendly helpful staff, clean & tidy, value for money, good facilities - jug, microwave, etc. Room smelt of smoke.
The location ... The room stunk of cigarrette smoke. It was stale and had permeated everything. We left the window open all the time and the air conditioning but the smell was so strong that it never disappeared. It was a disgusting room. The beds are fold away, sofa style. The toilet was like one that is found on trains and areoplanes. The bathroom smelt mouldy. It was a disgusting hotel and I would not recommend it to anyone,. We moved onto the Ibis which cost us less and offered outstanding value. It was immaculate.
Central, large room, well priced Dated bedding/beds, carpet, due for tlc
Centrally located. Large rooms. Flexible about requests. The Air conditioning did not work properly in one of the two rooms I booked.
We loved this little place! It's situated in the heart of the historical area and has a view of historical alleys. It has a kitchenette and we were able to make some home cooked meals. The room was roomy, comfortable and very pleasant! Nothing to complain about!
Great location in the heart of Dijon. not a great view, but nice rooftops.
Great location right in the heart of town. Small but nice rooms with big windows and views. First room was not clean and had drapes ripped off the wall. Was quickly given a second room but card key system for electricity wasn't explained so I didn't have power the first night. Great potential for this place but not very user friendly.
The very comfortable large rooms with kitchen facilties, great location, very helpful staff. There was a problem one night with loud noises from the plumbing which we realized is a problem with certain rooms. We were very helpfully assiged a different room for that night.
Excellent location, adequate cuisinette so that you can have your breakfast in your room, spacious rooms This time the staff was not able to help me with ordering a pizza...
Please write at leastThe decor is very attractive and the staff super helpful by driving us to the train station during a strike.
The staff were welcoming, the room was clean and very comfortable. The bathrooom was modern and very well equiped.
The helpfulness of the staff. The central location. The first and more expensive suite we had was dark, no views very noisy if you opened the window due the air conditioner units operating. There were faults with curtains not well hung and not closing and the bathroom fittings were not all working. We did request a change of room and this was quickly done and the second and cheaper room was very good.
Great location. Amazing restaurant. Helpful staff. Quiet room Outlook from window
Good situation in the center of Dijon Hotel sart renovation, restorant was closed
Excellent location and accommodating staff. The only things I didn't like were that the room did not have a comfortable chair to read in, and the bathroom wasn't supplied with soap. I like to sit up while I am reading, and not at a desk chair. And I don't like to wash with shower gel.
nothing to mention
The location-it's in the center I didn't ike, that I had to wait for the morning coffee for 10 minutes and the breakfast selection was poor. The room was a bit worn and it was difficult with a child to get upstairs as the elevator didn't go to the floor the room was located on. And also some of the reception ladies had a bit arrogant attitude.
Best hotel ever. Clean - great pool - spa. Helpful staff. I'd stay here again. Loved it. Loved everything.
No hassle Outside parking not as secure as I would have liked.
its always very comfortable and quiet. Good safe parking with so many good restaurants and cafes nearby we would not pay the Holiday inn prices
it was close to Zenith the shower curtain was dirty and smelled, for €14 the breakfast was pretty poor. A basic chain hotel at 4* prices
Te easy way to reach it, the quality of the hotel.
Friendly staff, clean rooms , nice restaurant , good value for money
Quiet location, as long as you keep the windows shut in the early morning Very run down rooms, well worn, but hotel is undergoing a complete restoration at present
Room was very comfortable, perfect for a stay while traveling south Breakfast was very poor quality
Ease of parking, easy to find the Hotel without going into the town, next to shopping Centre.
Good value for money; large comfortable family room for four, helpful, friendly and efficient staff. Part of an out-of-town shopping complex with a very large supermarket, so useful for stocking up. No problems!
Ideal for check in at any time. Great for long journey from UK to South of France as not in central city yet convenient to motorway and nice clean quiet room with en-suite. Air con was noisy. Cost of meal / drinks were high so we ate next door in the shopping arcade. Holiday Inn should provide food in line with their 3 stars. Breakfast was ideal - self service with a range of options - at a 3 star level
The room was spacious and pleasant The location of the hotel was disappointing in that it was in a commercial complex most of which appeared to be closed down.
Fantastic service and excellent value for money
Location was great and after 10 minutes walking you're downtown. The room was clean and big enough for 2. Price was fair.
the bar was good no tea/coffee making facilities in room, no hairdryer and lots of noise could be heard from the corridors
clean comfortable slightly out of centre
Hotel is very clean. Bathroom is nice and all facilities are quite new. I can get a comfortable hot shower in this hotel, which is not always the case in other hotels. Generally a very clean and functional hotel for a very good price. Parking is also directly under the hotel, and is quite secure. The hotel is only a short 15 minute walk to the centre of Dijon. Which is good, you just leave your car in the hotel and walk to the city. Buffet breakfast is good, a good variety to choose from. Hotel and neighbourhood feels very safe. Nothing major to dislike about the hotel. Only thing, there is no safe. Breakfast is not included in the hotel price, which was not made clear before booking.
as a new hotel, the finish was really good. The staff were attentive, friendly and helpful - thankfully making allowances for my poor French. My wife particularly liked the shower room!
good position (you could walk to the city center, but free Dijon shuttle bus is near), helpful staff OK but relatively small room (but this is something you should expect in this kind of hotel)
Able to book into hotel at 11am instead of noon as arrived early. No.
Helpful Staff, Close to city sights/shopping of interest and good for the budget. Thank you.
It was only a passing threw visit, but the staff was friendly, provided us with everything we needed, the hotel is clean and the breakfast very varried.
High value for money
Pleasant, comfortable and very clean room with good size bed. Excellent, reasonably priced restaurant. Bottle neck at the breakfast coffee machine was a bit frustrating.
Quick check-in procedure, knowledgeable and helpful reception staff, excellent sized bathroom.
the location and the facilty to check in
The atmosphere was really friendly and the staff cooperative. The location of the hotel is not the most convenient if you want to visit or have dinner in the city centre
convieniance to rail and town
The personel is very friendly and efficient. the Hotel and rooms are clean. The Hotel is not fare from the train but not from the city side.
Proximity to station. Usual standard Ibis quality. No unpleasant surprises. Professional friendly staff.
free parking on site. location and proximity to city centre bar and restaurant not welcoming. room basic and decor tired
Not too clean in the bedroom / bathroom, noisy from people using the rooms
Staff very pleasent and very helpful. room was warm, welcoming as was the large and very comfortable double bed. No
Free WiFi. Easy to get to from the motorway if you are driving. Five minutes drive to Dijon town centre. Very helpful staff. The maid came in a bit too early and woke us up on the first morning! The bathroom is basic and small but does its job
Clean, modern, quiet Nothing
Convenient location near to motorway. Ability to check in up till 23.00. Good level of service. Plentiful breakfast buffet.
Nice hotel, great location
Clean room, comfortable bed, good shower. Breakfast adequate but i.e. no boiled or fried eggs. Perfect for a night's stay on your journey. Not as close to the highway as they make it seem. Pay good attention to the roadsigns and roadnumbers.
Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. It was also very nice to have opportunity to prepare a hot tea at room. I tried to watch TV in the evening but it shew some text in French only.
It was clean and convenient for the main motorway as well as being close to the town by taxi We went for breakfast in the morning which started at 7 am but at 7.45 they had no more eggs and when we asked if they could do more they simply said no! As we do not eat meat we didn't have much of a choice
easy to find and pleasant staff room very cramped with extra bed.
The food in the restaurant was of an excellent standard. The hotel looked like a prison
Well appointed, close to railway station, shops, central, clean, helpful staff. Breakfast was expensive at 10 euros
Location was perfect. Public parking nearby. Free internet. The airconditioning did not work, so we had to keep the window open all time.We made a remark about this to the hotel stuff.
The hotel is in a good central position and very close to secure parking. The room was quite old fashioned in decor, the main course of my evening meal at the restaurant was poor.
do not use
see above breakfast generally good but too much packaging
Goodtation location near station. Helpful staff room well maintained and roomy enough for 3 adults traveling together.
Cheap budget hotel with basic but functional rooms. Good location for hypermarkets and cite europe. If having breakfast get there early before the ganets! Did not appear to be wi-fi as described.. though I didn't pusue this further.
Excellent location and easy parking. good modern accommodation. popular restaurant
Location, just 5 minutes walk from the old centre of Dijon, 10 minutes from the Palais des Ducs, and close to major shops. Our room looked out onto the busy square below, yet the sound-proofing was so good there was no traffic noise at all -- when the windows were shut. The breakfast, at 11.50 euros, was grossly over-priced for what was available. On the second day we found a boulangerie/coffee shop just two minutes from the hotel where an excellent breakfast was available at half the price pf the hotel. I should add that the Mercure in Beaune offers a far better breakfast, with decent coffee (as opposed to the insipid Quality Hotel brew) and a very wide selection of cereals and other items, at only 7.06 euros.
The location was excellent, the room was clean and the staff were very helpful. Good value for the price.
