The room was very clean and the owners are very friendly and accommodating. At first glance, you see a relic left over from the hey-days of the space program, which by the way, the name fits perfectly. BUT, our room had been completely renovated and was probably one of the cleanest rooms of any hotel I've ever stayed in. (and yes, I've stayed in quite a few) It was a very personal experience. The owners even called shortly after check-in to make sure everything was OK. Any and all of our needs were met and taken care of as if we were family. We had all the amenities (Microwave, Fridge, Coffee maker) as other hotels I've paid twice the price to stay in. (less than a week later) The exterior is dated, but well maintained. Considering this is a family owned business and not a corporate cookie cutter operation, I'd say they're doing it pretty well on their own. Definitely recommend for the budget minded traveler. Is it perfect? No. But I've never been to a hotel/motel that was. Are there nicer hotels? Sure! Can you beat the level of personal service for the price? I doubt it. I've seen other reviews for this hotel that mentioned the lack of amenities such as continental breakfast, nearby restaurants, phones in room, etc. Blah, Blah, Blah! For the price you can't beat this place. It's close (enough) to Kennedy Space Center (purpose of our visit), There ARE restaurants and other stores (Walgreens, Wal-Mart, etc) within reasonable driving distance (7 miles or so), and who travels without a cell phone these days? Why be concerned with a phone in the room?
I stayed here 1 night with girl-friend before taking a Bahamas cruise. We did not have a reservation, but were easily accomodated and at a competitive rate. Hallways carpets look like they ought to be replace; but the main lobby was modern, attractive, & clean. The pool area & our room also were very clean. Plenty of pool towels were available. The front desk staff was very polite. GF used the 'business center' room to check her e-mails & such without difficulty. The pool & hot-tub is secluded (back of the hotel) and shaded; not good if you want to sun-tan, but good if you want to keep cool. Location was otherwise excellent: short walk to Cocoa Beach pier, shopping, restaurants, beach, etc. Easy drive to the cruise ship ports the next morning.
I was shocked to see this hotel only rating a 2.5, honestly it was clean, friendly and very comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful, actually we ate there every day. We had never visited Cocoa and the staff was very helpful with directions and suggestions. In the evening we would come in after a long day of baseball, (Cocoa Beach Expo College Spring Training) and there would be fresh baked chocolate chip cookies on the counter. The hot tub was awesome. Rooms were clean. PLEASE UPGRADE THIS RATING TO AT LEAST 4.5 they deserve it.
The staff were incompetent -- problems with the reservation at check-in and even at check-out there were problems with the reservation. The carpets were filthy, the beds old and uncomfortable. The iron in the room didn't work and it took the staff an hour to bring a new one to the room. I left a day early because the hotel was so bad. Not only will I not stay here again, I will not stay at any Holiday Inn ever again. And, they double-billed my credit card for the room.
I give this hotel a four out five in cleanliness because we found someone had left clothes in our room! my daughter saw them behind some furnature... Beds were comfy and everything else about the room was clean.
This is a good hotel, the beds are confrotable, staff is helpful and the pool is nice. I would recommend it.
After having a bad experince at another hotel in Port Richey we were so grateful for Holiday Inn Express in Cocoa. The staff was friendly and helpful, I even had one laughing. :) The beds were so comfy my three year old wanted to take one home. The pool was so much fun for the children. The hotel is very clean, some minor stains on the hall carpeting, and the room was very spacious.
The room was not as clean as I would like. The ceiling fan it the batroom was really dirty. There was soap scum residue in the shower. Also the floors didn't looked like they had been vacuumed.
The hotel gives off an odd vibe. The building does not appear to originally be a Holiday Inn Express. Sloppy construction in the stairways and halls. Very nice pool, but an odd large building beside it. Perhaps its a banquet room. For the most part the room was clean, but I noted a couple of dirty areas (i.e. bathroom exhaust fan grille) to the front desk which were cleaned that day. Breakfast food was good too.
3 towels for 4 people, broken furniture, hallway carpet stains, daily cleanup not done before noon unless you ask, and breakfast AWFUL, told sorry A LOT - no value for money
We were disappointed that the listing did not make clear we would be staying in 'Cocoa' and not 'Cocoa Beach'. It was a longer drive than we would have preferred to get to Cape Canaveral and the beach. The motel was clean and basic, no complaints there. Finding a place for supper took us on a hunting trip, however.
Walking distance to water and localized pretty well Too much to list. Let's just say was worth it for price and 1 night exp since wasn't in room much
Location was nice. Carpeted floor was damp. Bathtub faucet had a steady stream/leak. Handle was cracked so it wouldn't fully shut off. Very annoying to listen to all night and very wasteful. Interior front door handle of room was loose and it was difficult getting the door open. The handle fell off completely the last night of our stay. I was very disappointed. The spa closes at 10pm so my wedding night was spent in a dank hotel room listening to a leaking faucet. For this price, I would have expected at least a continental breakfast.
The beach was nice and the restaurant by the beach was ok. Staff was friendly. They have a big pool but in meed of maintenance. The whole hotel is very old and in urgent need for remodel. The whole feel is of a cheap motel. Our first room smelled like vomit. They change us to another room. Bathrooms are old. Our toilet bowl was loose. Overall this hotel can't be a 3 star hotel. Rooms are in the category of a motel 6.
Location was great. Pool was clean and water temperature was perfect. Pool towels were provided at the facility. Hot tub was relaxing (although a little too hot.. but we still enjoyed it). Beach was clean and not crowded. The rooms were clean and included a refrigerator and microwave. The staff was nice. The hotel offers SMS services so you don't have to call or go to the front desk every time. Just send a text message to the number provided and someone answers within 2 minutes. Good eating spots within walking distance. Bed was uncomforable and light bled through the window at night. Some people staying there/hanging outside were a little sketchy so we traveled as a group after dark. Hotel beach-side bar closed too early. We went around 11 pm and it was closed.
Proximity of facility to the beach and to other amenities. The whole facility is outdated. Not very clean and definitely needs new bed and bedding! The hot tub was broken the whole week we were there... disappointing. You get what you pay for.
the staff was nice old, most outlets didn't work, lights didn't work, no mini fridge that was promised, uncomfortable bed and pillows, no blanket on bed only sheets, I hope to never stay there again
fun activities on site slow service
Nothing Terrible hotel
Locations and facilities I have stayed at this hotel many times and it's always been pleasant. However, We did not have a hair dryer and it was difficult to get a new one. Our phone in the room didn't work. The bed had a piece of the frame on the bottom sticking out and was dangerous. We tried to play corn hole and were given 4 small bags so we were not able to play. We only stayed for 1 night and experienced all these problems. The hotel was pricey for one night this time.
Loved that the restaurant was right there on property. It made it really easy to mosey down, sit outside and have a drink and a snack or meal. Love that they have the little firepits and offer s'mores at night that you can purchase. Love that it is right on the beach with a view from the suite. The restaurant wasn't anything amazing, but the servers were nice and the food was good. Front desk was very responsive anytime we had a request for extra washcloths, coffee, etc. The place really needs a good scrubbing and some updating. There was some mildew in the shower, the elevator hadn't seen a cleaning rag or a mop in a good while it looked like. Those kinds of things make you wonder about the room, but it seemed decent.
It was really close to the port, excelent service, great location. It was clean. It's just a little outdated, the rest was perfect
The location and staff are great, but the hotel is falling apart needs some major repairs. The rate is too high for the time of the year I went. December.
The staff is very friendly and the location was convinet to a lot of things The floors are very dirty my feet got black after 10 minutes of walking barefoot. The showerhead was mildewed as was the tiller paper holder.bed was not very comfortable
Room was very nice ... Had everything we needed .. Pool area very nice Yard crew using blowers while people were in the area
Book this for a one night getaway. Room was recently renovated and clean. All requests were taken care of, and they called the room an hour after check in to see if we needed anything. Would stay again. They are in the midst of a renovation. There wasn't any noise, but there were some dumpsters and equipment around, did not get a heads up. Breakfast was typical, not too appetizing.
the location was easily accessible. the price was ok. the desk mgr was attentive blood stains at the bottom corners of the mattress. odor in the room. large critter in the bathroom. (1.2" reddish brown ?) La Quintas are officially off my list...
Good location, nice facility with some interesting history and very pleasant staff. Would definitely return!
Bed was little hard for me
Comfortable room, particularly the beds. Great pool and facilities. N/A
Close to beach access. Good value. Not enough towels. Room for 4 and only given 3 towels.
The staff were very helpfull The bathroom flooded, the fixtures were old, and the room smelled of some severe cleaning solution.
Close to Cocoa Beach and Port Canaveral The chain lock on the door was broken so I did not sleep well nor feel secure. The bathroom was disgusting and looked as though it had not been cleaned in years. I booked this reservation through Kayak but ended up also being charged by La Quinta. So I was double charged. After reviewing my bank statement and realizing this today, I contacted La Quinta and they did apologize and a refund is being processed. The hotel just did not seem clean and we will not be going back.
Though the pool looked very tempting, the brief walk across the street to the beach looked even better! Lower level room was clean and quiet, even with bar upstairs. Employee at breakfast was diligent in cleaning constantly. Edges of bathtub looked old and worn.
Staff is very accommodating and friendly Room renovations are wonderful, loved our room! Quiet Reasonably priced ample parking close to attractions There was nothing we did not like.
The room was very comfortable, I like the paddle fan and the amenities. Great pool.
The beds and linens were awesome. Bed was super comfortable. Very nice atmosphere at the pool bar. I was dissspointed there was no morning breakfast included in the fee. Continental breakfast is pretty standard anymore at a hotel of this caliber.
Our room had broken lamp, broken "select comfort" bed, generally not clean to the level you would expect for a $200/night hotel. Long hair(s) in multiple places in room (including nicely folded bath towels - yuck). Toilet bowl had shavings from someone who was not in my family (double yuck). Doors on rooms had security brackets in door jam near lock to prevent door from being pried open (not a good sign). Common areas beat up and/or dirty. General disappointment basing my decision to stay here on the reviews on Kayak. Pool was nice though.
Proximity to the port for cruise line The pavers, could hear suitcases and cleaning carts click clack across the pavers.
Lovely grounds but needs more attendants to clean up after guests pool was beautiful not too cold room appeared clean Jacuzzi had bad smell pool towels were a 45 minute wait bed not good maybe sleep number is not for us carpet was moldy and smelt of feet Next time I would go for a newer property and pay more Maybe it was the timing of being Christmas Day maybe they only had a skeleton crew? Either way it was not a good experience
Shaun at the Tiki Bar was great. He went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of.
Great location to the cruise terminals. Clean and updated room.
We had a group of thirteen going on a cruise out of port canaveral and stayed here the night before. The front desk staff was great. We had a smooth check in and they made the arrangements to get us to the ship in the morning. Rooms were clean. Pool was nice. Perfect for what we needed. We would stay here again.
Convenient to the KSC If it were a rainy day I'd have had a real problem with the lack of parking spots that somehow cost an additional $6.... Seriously? $6 for parking? Get a lot of walk ins do ya?
The king suite was very comfortable and the tub was huge (basically next to bed)! The products used in the rooms were so wonderful, I am buying some for personal use online! Two free drinks at Tiki Bar provided when room was not ready (30 minutes after check-in time). For guests staying at the hotel, my husband and I thought it was silly that we had to pay for parking, although affordable ($6). There is a 'Barnie's Coffee Shop' in the lobby, which was intriguing in comparison to standard room coffee; however, when I went to get "specialty" coffee, it was the same coffee in the room AND I was CHARGED for it ($2+)!
Great heated pool that the kids loved even during the cooler days. We had, what I thought were pretty large rooms. I booked a double with 2 adults and 3 kids. We fit and slept just fine. Many things to do in the area both kid and adult friendly. I sat at the pool side bar while the kiddos swam all day! Charged extra fees for daily parking, resort fee, internet fee. So the"great rate" turned out to be about average for the area. I had a couple days where nobody touched up room for us. No coffee refills, empty trash, etc.
The pool is awesome.
No Hot Water
location hotel is somewhat dated and very expensive for what you get
The convenience to the cruise terminal and location. They display a banner "newly renovated". This may be true for the continental breakfast area and added fire pit to the pool area. However, the rooms are horrible (outdated, paint clipping, nasty tile and the list goes on). Our room had to have refrigerator repaired then replaced the first night. The second night we had ac issues that took about an hour to resolve, while we had to stay in a room that felt about 80 degrees. Staffing is not the best and could use business skill classes on customer service. The free coffee our front totally - cold and not hot. They try to patch everything with a free cookie
The hot tub was awesome! Most hotels "hot" tubs are about as warm as a bath, this one was actually hot! The rooms were clean, although if you were still sleeping when the cleaning staff came around, they wouldn't come back to clean your room. We were out of our room by 9am both days we stayed and came back in the evening, the room had never been cleaned.
The staff was very friendly, continental breakfast was good. Room was very clean. Facility was nice. Very pricey. I feel they took advantage of the location and raised the prices simply for that reason. The same room anywhere else would have cost 1/3 of what I paid.
Not far from Kennedy Space Center. Close to highway, easy to find. Room and furnishings were well worn.
Free cooked breakfast to order but poor service. Difficult to carry luggage up the stairs. Restaurant staff has poor morale & service.
Darlene at front desk was very polite and helpful. It went downhill from there. I went to tell the head of housekeeping that there was a red spot on my comforter looks like nail polish but I still didn't feel good using it. When I asked if she had another one to replace it with she started yelling at me that it was brand new and should have nothing on it she repeated this about 5 times and she marched off towards my room. Also sitting in the room relaxing trying to get some work done in the maid came to the door I told her I was fine didn't need anything she says let me change your trash bags and walks in before I can say anything I just sat there with my mouth open picks up the trash Bucket Place it is on the sink where I brush my teeth and wash my face and change is the bed and looks around at my things that she's doing it I watched her in the mirror. Very odd. Then I heard the main telling the owner that she had to get me another comforter after she tried to take off the nail polish to no avail. And I heard him telling her to tell me to go down the road to the Holiday Inn if I didn't like it from the owner's mouth no less. I confronted him on it and he said oh I was talking about another woman I accepted his apology though I knew better didn't want anymore problems. It was a very good deal and it's not that bad a place but the people there are freaking strange
Should switch to buffet or continental breakfast. Waitstaff terrible. No need to offer cooked to order service when it is bad. Otherwise was ok rooms. Fairly quiet.
Easy to find. Good restaurant beside, nice pool. I booked 2 nights via booking com. Motel recieved just one night booking. I had a confirmatuon - but not printed, because I was on a trip and had no printer. Had to pay for the second night the original - not booking com rate. Recieved no breakfast voucher for 2nd night, also it was no online rate.
Good simple breakfast. Lovely staff. Aircon was good. Very large room. Bathroom was just ok but then again who spends hours and hours in the bathroom anyways?!! It was clean
It was a nice friendly place. My TV didn't work but they replaced it promptly. nothing
Proximity to Kennedy Space Center
Park in front of room. Clean rooms, no carpet. Friendly staff Location is away from everything
convenience; we liked the idea of stayng overnite, then for an extra $30 we got a shuttle to the cruise ship and were able to leave our car there while we were on a seven day cruise and then a shuttle back .parking at the cruise ship terminal would have cost over $100
The price was ok and so was the breakfast
Located within ten minutes of the beach. Room is clean. My room overlooked the pool area. Vending machines had snacks for sale cheaper than what convenience stores charge. Free Internet with excellant connection. My tv reception was a bit fuzzy and I couldn't receive Foz News. Don't know if that's a positive or negative. I just turned it to Comedy Central instead for my evening laughs. LOL. The shower head like in most hotels was too low. I'm 6'-4" so I have that problem a lot.
Very nice breakfast buffet. Staff very nice No
Location was great
Location is good and price is good. Good convenient parking. Staff were nice. The rooms are not clean. Need to be updated. There is urine smell in stairways. Non smoking rooms smell like smoking rooms. Elevators smell like smoke.
that breakfast was included the room smelled like cigarets and the carpets could use cleaning.
The location to the cruise ship and being able to leave our car parked at hotel while on cruise also $10.00 per person for shuttle to and from ship. For the money I paid I was ok.
Clean and no Bugs! Bed was not comfortable and the pool is green.
Free cruise parking. Breakfast7 Put into smoking room I
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
Close to beach and cruise port 5 trains that went by through the night waking us up. Sketchy bar in the hotel.
Surprised that there was a continental breakfast that was good. The staff is friendly. Not in cape canaveral. It's on mainland cocoa. There is a very loud train with blasting whistles from 5:30am that runs through. Lack of sheer curtains to let the light while keeping room privacy. Forcing a night feel even in the day. Refrigerator squeals
We were visiting family in the area then were going to go on a short cruise out of Port Canaveral. This was the best option in our price range in the area., the front desk clerk, was able to check us in a little early and could not have been nicer. The noise from traffic was loud at times but quieted down about the time we went to sleep. There were no useable electrical outlets on the desk side of the room. It was necessary to run the electrical cord from my laptop across the room to the bed stand.
The location was excelent and it's in a quiet area, but close to restaurants, shopping, and only steps from the beach and pier. Rooms could be cleaner. Underneath the bed skirting (that skirt that hides the base underneath the bed) were things from prior guest - bottle caps, floss, ugggh. Other than that, it was a decent place. I marked it overall as good, because nowdays, unless your paying $200 or more a night, thats about the cleanest you can expect.
Great customer service. After having a bad run-in with Economy rentalcars, and getting to the hotel at almost midnight, the woman at the front desk was fantastic and helped get my vacation back on track!
Ocean front view-on the beach, great breakfast, hard working staff.
I had a balcony room with an ocean view. It was wonderful. The staff was very friendly. Nothing
Loved the suite room with a separate bedroom, with the view of the Atlantic and the sunrise! Trying to get young children to sleep, it was very noisy by the poolside, with swimmers screaming "Marco Polo" from 8:00 to past 10:00. Too bad the beds are not located on the quieter side of the suite, which I know would not be possible.
We had a double Queen room, which usually means queen beds stuffed into the same size rooms as the full size beds. Nope! Pleasantly surprised! the room was larger, the fridge was larger than the normal Mini you usually get. there were towels everywhere! LOL! The air worked very well. The bed was very comfy. The room was clean. the breakfast was a real Hot breakfast, not just bagels & pastries. Eggs, hot cakes, meats, oatmeal, grits, as well as bagels & pastries. It was good for a fast hot hotel breakfast. We would stay again, I just hope it's sooner than later! thanks for the nice stay, Best Western is now on my go to list! If I had to pick something, it would be the parking & the Tiki-Bar wasn't open on a Saturday afternoon! the weather wasn't good, so that's probably why.
Closeness to the beach
The location was excellent and staff was great. The room smelled funky
Right on the beach, nice beds and very clean. Staff was excellent, very welcoming.
Nice Water Front Hotel; heated pool was very nice. Good Breakfasts each Morning. Arrived with our reservation all booked up; so we had to settle for a lesser value location.
We liked that it was so close to the beach. The staff was wonderful!
Convenient Shower would not drain Ants/small bugs in my room
The location is convenient to both 95 and Merritt Island and the beaches. My room did as promised. It was clean, large and with all the amenities I needed. The bed was very comfortable with super clean pressed sheets. The microwave and fridge were perfectly big enough for my needs and were virtually brand new. This is an older facility but very well looked after. Breakfast and the dinning room were more than adequate. An extra nice feature is that it overlooks the pool. A super way to start the day! I would not hesitate to stay here again.
As an European we always wonder why the breakfast is so poor in the Usa. Its not only The Best Western but in every hotel. In the morning we do not eat pancakes or donuts or sweet bread. We like to have good Fresh baked bread with a slice of cheese or a hot cooked egg.
The manager did great at helping us in multiple ways.
had washer and dryer available for $1 each older hotel in need of some upgrading, step up into unit could cause tripping
Decent breakfast, spacious room, karaoke night in the bar, friendly staff A bit further away from NASA and the beach then expected.
Front desk was very helpful due to my online reservation was for 2 nights but the hotel only had 1 night but my request was still honored at the price I originally requested. My room had a connection door to another room which we could hear all noises from the next room and other guest even tried to open this door.
It was right off the highway. I think it was cheaper because of the renovations in the lobby, but was a great value for a place to stay. The room was clean.
I booked online when I arrived they were completely booked, I had to sleep in my car because all the rooms in the area was sold out. No one didn't even try to fix the issue
Good parking. I'd suggest booking direct with hotel as the "agency" tried to impose unnecesssary restrictions on requested amendment to booking. The hotel itself is more amenable to reservation changes. The noise from neighbouring guests using their bathrooms is clearly audible.
clean room, good reception, computer with internet available, location out of city, to close to gas station
Breakfast was nice The ocean breeze was pretty chilly one night, a jacuzzi would have been nice.
I realize it's south Florida, but seriously... The amount of ants inside your room and overall cleanliness of the room makes you look twice at your receipt. At least the bed sheets were clean. Ants, parking can be a challenge, getting your room cleaned for a new day.
The location is amazing. Close to the peir and beach. The main dislike is the 4pm checkin. The waffle maker wasn't working one morning but the other breakfast foods made up for it.
The closeness to the beach (100yds max), Cocoa Beach Pier is literally a 5 minute walk if that. Closeness to Port Canaveral. It is literally infested with ants. Ants all over the sink, toilet, tub. The air conditioning is old school, so it's incredibly loud and meh on cooling ability. Parking can be tough at times, especially at night. Did I mention the amount of ants already? Well it deserves to be mentioned again. Room cleaning is ridiculous. They come around once at around 8ish. Either you get your room cleaned and stocked with towels then or you are screwed for the rest of the day. They do not come back if they skipped your room earlier and seem to be done with work around 3.
Beds uncomfortable, noisy
We live in SW Florida but decided to go to Cocoa Beach for a mini vacation. The hotel is nice and was a great price on Kayak. Plus when we got there the hotel upgraded us for free to a mini suite with a view of the ocean! The beds were very comfortable and the hotel was very clean. Staff were friendly. We ordered room service for breakfast. It was average and right on time. The beach is amazing! The bathroom was small but still nice.
Great access to the beach. The brownies at the coffee shop were delicious. There were two, not one, but two, fire alarms in the middle of the night while we were there. When you are woken up at 4:00am, and again at 6:00, it makes for a long, unpleasant night.
Water front. Liked that the BEST. Comfy beds The doors slam so loudly Morning and night !!
Hotel restaurant was slow to seat, even with empty chairs. Seem as if there were no one in charge.
The hotel was very nice and clean. The location was wonderful, right on the ocean. The air conditioner was very load and woke my husband up each time it kicked in. Had to pay separate for parking- which is in my opinion ridiculous.
The view was spectacular! The beach is also surprisingly uncrowded. We loved the food and drinks at the Hilton's restaurant and patio bar. All of the other staff throughout the property (except at the front desk) were very friendly, gracious and welcoming. Seriously, once you get checked in, you feel very well taken care of. Our room was immaculate and comfortable. We'd read online that the front desk staff was rude. We were actually surprised to find that those reviews were absolutely true. These employees must go through some sort of special training to be so unhelpful, unfriendly and act like your checking in to the hotel is interrupting their day of scowling. They live in this paradise. Why so grumpy? Also, this hotel was the only one around that didn't have a balcony. When you see your view, you quickly become disappointed about this fact.
Staff and view were amazing !! Somebody needs to sit in the bathtub in rm. 654 . See what we see ! You see PVC pipes under sink. The ceiling was chipped paint ! The drywall was the shottiest job I have ever seen ! Somebody okayed that job ! It was a renovated room already , if that is the case , the standards were Days inn , at hilton prices !!!! As you can tell not happy at all ! We love hilton hotels , but may have to reconsider this one !!
Ocean front and deck Didn't like being charged for parking in just a big parking lot $6.00 a day is too steep and being charged for the last day was wrong when we checked out on time
Nothing Looked like a party house in courtyard. I'm sure there were drugs being done on site, you should take them off your site!! I also want a call from Priceline and my money returned!!
Staff was nice No swimming pool, terrible parking, noisy
The manager was very friendly, very helpful in providing suggestions and directions. The washing machines that we had planned to use to wash our laundry mid-trip were broken and the cleanliness of the room was questionable since I saw a cockroach and the shampoo available had been opened and used already.
clean thin pillows with no extra ones
The hotel staff was kind and helpful; the rooms were clean and well equipped. The parking lot was difficult.
The room was clean and comfortable.
owner was very friendly and helpful. room was as good as any higher priced hotel's parking was a little tight but managable. It would be nice to have a continental breakfast on site.
All new and clean noisey. the refrigerator made alot of noise and so did the heater and airconditioner. Also couldn't watch t.v. when I open the remote found only 1 battery.
Our room was nicely sized, neat, clean, and up to date, with the amenities that you would expect from Sheraton. We had a very nice room. The staff was professional and very nice and accommodating. No Issues at all. Not sure where some of the reviews are coming from, but we would definitely stay there again, and recommend it to others. It is connected to the Cocoa Beach Surf Company store (very nice) and a wonderful Restaurant/Grill with huge shark/fish tank, and a Starbucks! - no need to venture outside for coffee if it happens to be raining. Oh, and its next door to Ron Jon! But don't disregard the CBSC... The ONLY thing that would make this hotel better, would be if it were closer to, or on the beach. It's not a far walk at all, though, but might be too far for folks with small kids and carrying a ton of stuff. In that event, Alan Shepherd park is about a block away with parking ($10 per day) on the beach, or there are other free park(ing) options nearby as well.
The only reason they got a 2 was because IF the rooms were clean, it would be a good hotel. And the staff seems nice. Particularly one if the cleaning crew guys whom was very friendly and warm. My room was dirty. Not to the immediate eye. There were food remains under the bed, couch and behind the dresser. There was a bottle of cleaner left behind one day on the dresser by my stuff. There was chalky food on the couch. And my key didnt work 2 separate days. I addressed the issues to the Sheraton, I got an email back stating they would address the issues. I got a call from the assistant manager from the Four Points to apologize. I will not stay there again nor recommend it.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to be accommodating.
When I arrived I was told they were overbooked! I had to go to another hotel next door that was not nearly as nice. What made me most angry was that I had called the hotel when I landed and told them I was still coming since it was 9:00pmEST. They said no problem we have your reservation. Then as soon as I walked into the lobby they said Ms. Perz?? There is a maintenance problem with your room so we have you staying at the comfort inn and suites next door. When I went to comfort inn they told me the Four Points accidentally overbooked . So #1 they LIED, #2 they knew this was going to be an issue an hour prior when I called them! They could have at least told me then!
Had a mix up the first night we stayed before our cruise, and front desk attendant was very rude, the next morning the Front Desk Supervisor was VERY helpful and apologetic! I wish I could remember his name to call the manager of the hotel.
Staff was very friendly and helpful at all times, good breakfast, free parking, room size and views o.k. air condition noisy and did not smell well
We upgraded to an ocean view room and the view from the balcony was lovely. Hotel is a short walk from cocoa beach. The sand is lush and waves are big! 20 minute walk to the pier where the friendly staff serve fab cocktails with a great view out to sea and the beautiful long beach. We loved it here, just a shame we only stayed the 1 night! Dislikes - air con unit in the room was too loud. It sounded like a motorcycle engine so had to turn it off to sleep. Ended up propping the balcony door open with a chair. The complimentary breakfast is poor quality. Coffee and pastry was ok.
The breakfast was awesome! Loved it! Rooms were clean and comfy Would rather have an inside hallway than to go outside to the room.
closeness to the ocean. Access path to beach right off the pool had and incident with anther guests child spitting on a sleeping freind poolside. management threatened to throw the sleeping person out when she was offended and wanted an apology.
We liked our waitress Cora and the location to the beach. The pool area was dirty with empty glasses and pool toys, there was no hot tub for adults to enjoy.
Convenient location to the beach, lots of parking, convenient to shopping and restaurants. Did not provide beach chairs for free or for a low price. Charging $10 for a lounge was too much.
The beach was wonderful!
Comfortable, clean, helpful staff, well located, easy parking, good restaurant.
we stayed here because it was the location of an event we were going to attend .... it was just an ok hotel for the money ... nothing wrong just nothing exceptional, For the top end dollar you pay for a room at double tree ... I expect more then one chocolate chip cookie and a beach front red roof inn with a bar. I was constantly being asked if i belonged to their double tree club... and treatment seems to depend on that ... maybe you get different service then but I for one dont want to belong to a club to get what i'm already paying for... those perks come from the revenue generated by all of our business. Just another place that wants to treat a select few like rock stars and the rest of us like paupers with the moneys all of us pay for .... sad new standard in customer service. most staffers seemed unhelpful and in capable of helping with the simplest tasks ... Might I borrow a pair if scissors? can you dirrect me to a non tourist shopping area.... and until I found a staff member that was originally from my home state, I may as well been talking to deaf staffers, makes me even more happy I booked with kayak and got the best deal possible.... like I said beach front red roof with bar.
Loaction on beach front. Quality and range of food in the complimentary exuctive lounge was dissapointing
Location was about two miles from the beach. The breakfast was very good with hot and cold items. The inconsistencies of the staff at check in. We were told by Regie that my sister's rewards number could be used for us to receive high speed internet. However, when we checked in the staff told us that Regie gave incorrect information and was no longer employed. This was not our fault. Then the staff finally said we could have high speed internet.
I didn't like the extra parking fee
We left an article of clothing at the pool and it was gone the next day. The staff thought someone might have dropped it in the dirty towel box. They checked with the laundry department right away and then again after we left and retrieved it for us so we could pick it up after our cruise. It has a lot of sentimental values so we appreciated that effort.
