Location, views, facilities and beach No courtesy Room
really enjoyed our stay, the hotel had so much to offer - a really romantic setting with loads of different options to pass the time. I would like to have the option of a double bed in the room rather than two beds pushed together - took a while to get used to the memory foam mattress!
Facilities were brilliant, and view spectacular Nothing
Lovely hotel with excellant helpfull staff There wasn't anything that I didn't like
The location, with immediate access to great countryside and coastline More variety in the buffet dinner would have been welcome
excellent hotel and real value for money nothing , all is perfect
This would be theideal hotel for people wishingto get away from the hustle and bustle extremely peaceful.
Nothing was a problem in the hotel staff lovely No just walk to the beach but I probably unfit
It was very good time. Everything was very good. However, as the hotel was almost complete, at breakfast we had to wait long to have our coffee and milk pots. Also the orange juice had too much sugar. But that is nothing compared with the good things we had there.
Relaxing by the pool, having bbq lunches, strolling into Albufeira. Bus transfer facilty was very convenient. Trip to Golf Academy was most enjoyable The restuarant menu in the evening was very limited and the Sunday buffet was very disappointing when one was used to the buffet at lunch time. The food generally was of very high standard so this was disappointing
Hotel is very nice because of his separte T0,T1,T2 suites. These suites has separte living room and bedroom and a kitchen. The total cleaning is done for you
Beach front, very quiet, beautiful gardens. Excellent swimming pool with warm water. Near Santa Eulália center. For a 5-star hotel, the carpet is a bit used and with some stains. Sauna and turkish bath are not included in room rate.
A wonderful oceanfront property full of amenities and lots of charm. I went in the off season so it was magical and relaxing. Good restaurants, good food, complete gym and spa and an amazing beach at the doorstep. Really enjoyed my stay. The lack of a tea kettle in the room
The staff were really helpful and polite, especially in reception and in the restaurants. The food in the buffet was ok and we liked the choice of the other restaurants. The beach was great. The room that was advertised as resort view was of the car park. The overall standard was not that of a 5 Star hotel - just a 4 star. The Kids club was basic. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and you had to pay for sun beds
Friendliness of the staff, faclilities good, location good Beds were not 5 star standard ( they were rather hard )
the hotel, the staff, the beech and every thing connected to the hotel was fantastic this is a 5 star hotel make no mistake about it,i would have no hesitation in recommending to friends and family if i visit portugal again i will be making another booking at the grande real santa eulalia
My 18 year old daughter and myself returned for a 2nd time in September. We love the hotel, particularly the beach side location. The food is very enjoyable. The pool areas clean and beautifully appointed. The breakfast selection is varied and fresh, nearby snackbars offer a selection of food whilst enjoying the sea view Although expensive, we always feel relaxed and refreshed after our short stays.
Surroundings, Club Atlantico, Restaurant, closeness of beach to eating places Should have been water in room for our arrival
This hotel is everything you could wish for on a relaxing holiday. The service was amazing, the food was delicious, the location magnificent, I will be telling all my friends
Breakfast Spa and Staff.
The check in staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was splendid. The hotel was spotless. None
quiet comfort, ample and well-cooked breakfast, interesting modern design, professional staff
The hotel had only been open a few weeks so everything was clean bright and very modern. Breakfast good. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A little chaotic at reception as obviously having problems with computer system and reservations although I suspect only teething problems
noise from rooms upstairs or alongside, high heels on stone floor.
Totally suitable for our needs- Nothing to fault-Everyone was wonderful and eberything hit the spot. Nothing- We will definitely return.
Staff and overall eperience excellent.
nice clean rooms and very helpful staff breakfast was a bit poor and i think staff need to be trained in order to deliver quality service and good food.
The staff were outstanding, especially Carlos at the front desk. Nothing was too much trouble. Tea/coffee facilities should be in all rooms.
Ultra Modern and stylish
Very modern hotel in agood location near to the beach, shops a good selection of restaurants and public transport links. As a single traveller I found it rather impersonal. I chose the hotel as I am very familiar with the area expecting a quiet location. One night I was kept awake until 2.30 am by a nearby (but not adjacent) karaoke bar which is a considerable problem for the whole area.
The confort and the location. The level too high of the music in the central lobby and the hours of beggining and ending, very early in the morning (7.00 am !!!) and very late in the evening (11.00 pm)
The location, 2 minutes from the beach.
The hotel staff is very professional e provides excellent service
Very nice location away, yet close, from the city center (if you have a car) and wonderful beach.
It was a lovely hotel that is one of the best hotels i have ever stayed at. The rooms are beautiful and would love to go back again.
Modern style. Cleanliness. Facilities. Attention to detail. Internet is very slow
The beds were comfortable and the quality of the bed linen was very good. A small detail but the hot food at the buffet breakfast was not hot.
Modern but well designed.Excellent spa.Roomy bedrooms and great shower. Breakfast buffet not well maintained.
One of the finest hotels you could ever stay in. This is truly a 'must do before die' experience. The staff were faultless from arrival to departure. The food in the dining room would be the best available in Portugal!! And the breakfast is without doubt the finest of any restaurant in the world.A New benchmark has been sent. You could not fault this hotel, the staff, the food. A Magnificent experience which I hope to repeat. Nothing
View and location excellent, grounds and pools lovely. Simple things like a bin in the room were missing, while the whole ambience suggested hgh standards the atmosphere lacked warmth.
Excellent in every way, this is a very fine hotel indeed If I had to find something then the quality of the lunch in the bar could be improved but that is being really fussy!
I liked the room, it was huge with a nice balconi. The view was excellent as well. The room service system, the cleanness of the dishes and glasses. we were cheated in several things. Valet made an Accedent in our car and even didn't apologize.
It offered comfort and space and cleanliness and the staff were pleasant and helpful. Food at the beach resturant needs looking into. However, there needs to be some improvement regarding the pool seating arrangements as there were a number of unhappy guests who put towels on the beds only to return to find someone occupying them. As a family we only took sunbeds when we were acctually using them and it was somewhat annoying when people who had reserved the beds before 10.00am only to return at 4.00pm. There were clearly not en
Spacious accommodation in the suite with plenty of cupboard space, nice outlook at the rear over the rooftops to the sea. Quirky decor. Kitchen facilities in suite but only two tea bags, no coffee or milk available. Chairs on balcony and in dining room unusual and uncomfortable. Charged for using internet.
The hotel is a very relaxing place where my young 3 year old son was made very welcome. The pools are beautiful and the gardens are great. Staff in the beach resteraunt were quite rude.
Luxury hotel, a wonderful staff The rooms overlook the road. It was noisy
Peace and quiet the first few days the staff were very obliging. The noise from the pool, indoor pool was out for maintenance lots of children running!!! About during breakfast and dinner. there was nothing to do after dinner no entertainment unless you went into town, just sport on the T.V. in bar.
very clean, nice design, fantastic location
enjoyed everything from the hotel itself to the wonderful staff who work there. there isn't one thing I would change. a most enjoyable break.
The quality of the hotel was outstanding and the staff were very friendly The indoor pool, although the three outdoor pools make up for it
A very modern hotel, quality fixtures and fittings, spacious public rooms. Our room (deluxe suite) was extremely spacious and comfortable. Complimentary safe in room. Kitchenette with kettle provided. No child-proof breakfast room, as in some 5 star hotels! No buffet dinner.
The staff and cleaniness were excellent. The sofa bed is not suitable for an adult and we were three adults sharing
Staff were really great, location was good, beds were reasonably comfortable although it was two singles and as we'd just got engaged we wanted a double. Wifi didn't work, beds were crammed in- and there were three, when we only needed the one double- room service selection was really poor, facilities were ok but the pool was absolutely freezing, shower leaked everywhere and the bathroom grouting had mould growing on it, room temperature control didn't work so on a hot day was pouring out hot air into the room...to say it was a four star hotel it has two star qualities. Be glad the staff are fantastic because the rest of it was really poor. Would definitely never go back.
Great view , good location in Faro, very nice spa .
Breakfasts excellent and great to sit beside the window on the top floor sipping coffee and watching planes approaching the airport, with the marina below. Overall the hotel provides very good for money. Internet booking saved about 7 euros per night While we were there we booked an extra night for a fortnight later and were given suite style accommodation for that night, which was excellent recently refurbished accommodation. Swimming pool on the roof is a real bonus, with excellent views across the coastline. Accommodation very central, excellent position. There is a busy street below and the main bus and coach station, however, two layers of double glazed doors and thick curtains means that sleep is not a problem Other guest reviews I had seen were not as positive about the hotel as I thought they could be. Unable to get a marina side view even though requested in email.
the location very poor service for a 4 star hotel: no working safe in the room, a mini bar with 3 bottles of water, no working internet service.....
The gym WiFi access not available
practice sports in hotel Gym
Good location yet very quiet Don't know why we weren't given a balcony when we paid for most expensive room and hotel was far from full
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the short distance to local bars, restaurants and shops was a bonus.
Hotel Eva is a very pleasant place with helpful staff and great facilities, which makes it an ideal place to stay in faro,If their is a down side it would be that their can be some street noise but this depends on which room you are staying in as to the level of noise that you will hear.
We selected hotel EVA in Faro for location and value for money. Both were excellent. The hotel is in the same building as the bus station for the lines from faro to Sevilla, Spain, and at the same time 200m from the old town. Internet should be free of charge, as there is no running cost for it. Safety box in room was not large enough for my laptop.
Great location - helpful people Poor and expensive internet access - no wifi . Ocean view was really only ocean glimpse when on the balcony - very disappointing
Perfect location, excellent facilities, friendly and helpful staff. Great food if a little pricey.
comfortable and well appointed and managed location - too islolated
Access to the Beach, good restaurants, Breakfast buffet not 5 *****
Nice and big territory!!!! Wonderful beach!!!
Excellent hotel! Yard was nice! Swimhats... :)
saying 'goodbye' the stairwells were covered in pigeons excrement for the whole 2wks we stayed - it's a health hazard and despite seeing cleaners everywhere I never once saw the feathery pooh disappear
Good facilities, helpful staff Pools too crowded at times, restaurants are fairly good but prices exorbitant.
The space around the hotel provides a relaxed environment and its cliff top location gives great views out to sea.Overall it has a nice ambiance. The on-site restaurants are expensive and although the food is good it lacks originality.
Wonderful location and relaxed attitude. The cornflakes and bacon - very cheap and not good enough!
pool area the room particularly bathroom seemed ready for refurbishment
Has above should confirm my wife & i cannot think or find a better place than your hotel
We have stayed at this hotel 6, times and have been very impressed and will return again.
Excellent hotel very central Entertainment could have been better at night
very near all facilities and the town of albufeira.lovely pool area and bar. didn't like having to pay for the use of indoor pool
Staff were excellent Late check in- did not get in till after 3pm
not bad location, 5 minute stroll to old town. hotel states 4 star but i feel it is more like a 3+. reception pleasent.i booked a room with a seaview at an extra cost to a pool view, they are the same rooms and both face the sea so i think it was a way of charging an additional £40.00 to a pool room, unfair!
my wife and i have stayed several times at this hotel and would again without any hesitation we have always found the service very good indeed
The hotel staff were all very friendly. All our accomodation was in order when we arrived. The food was lovely and a good variety. We had breakfast every morning and a buffett dinner one evening which was very nice. Our room was cleaned every day and towels changed every day. everything was being kept very clean. Could they supply additional umberellas at poolside as there was not enough to facilitate each two sunbeds.
very nice restaurant, lovely food for breakfast, indoor swimmingpool nice
The staff are fantastic and make you feel special. The location is beatuiful and the gardens are maintained very well. The accomodation is ideal for a family. This is our 3rd visit to Pine Cliffs and we will be back again.
The resort was beautiful, lots of birds, flowers, grassy areas. The facilities were very good and they were well set up to cater for children. Porto Pirata, the indoor pool and the beach provided lots of entertainment for little ones and there was the option to pay to have your children cared for by a wonderful team of girls in Porto Pirata if you so wished (see negatives in terms of expense!) Our two bed residence was large, clean and extremely comfortable - the actuality exceeding the pictures shown on websites (not a frequent occurance in my experience). Staff were very friendly and helpful. There are lots of activities organised every day. Lovely Italian restaurant. Resort was so well tended - it was a wonderful holiday Childcare in porto pirata was excellent but expensive, especially if your children were under three years of age. Food was good but expensive comparatively speaking with nice restaurants outside the resort. We were there in quiet season so many of the restaurants in the hotel were not open. If you book a residence by prepared for a good walk to breakfast, it may be only in the quiet season but we had to walk nearly a kilometre (albeit along a pretty path) to the hotel for breakfast each morning. In high season there is a train that takes you but in low season be prepared for leg work - I lost about four pounds in nine days!
Beautiful - absolute luxury. Very expensive food and drink
- Very good swimming pool; - Walking distance from the beach; - The apartments are spacious and very well furnished including the kitchen; - The balconies are big and if you are in an apartment with sea view the view is great. - The check in hour was at 4pm and not at 2pm as it says on the bookings website (we had to wait 2 hours to get hour apartment); - Parking area is small near the aparthotel, no garage was available probably because they are still doing some construction work; - Some construction work is still being done near the pool area (it was done after 6pm and for a short period of time so it was not so bad); - The pool bar was open only until 5pm what is very early (there was other bar availbale in the resort but not near the pool); - The press center available on the Alfagar resort (on the supermarket) doesn’t have Portuguese daily press (like us there were on the resort many Portuguese people).
brand new, modern equipped spacious apartment, large terrace, nice and clean pool area - the place is great...but... ....there are huge and very noisy reconstruction works in the building going on and the hotel management is not professional enough to inform and apologize the guests - they just do not care that you would like to relax - they started every day at 8 am (!!!!) and finished their works around 5 pm. The receptionists do not smile at all, internet is expensive, beach is not nice, not suitable for babies, not easy way and impossible to take the trolley with you. There are only other hotel resorts around, the shopping/restaurants centre is far away, 30 minutes by foot on a busy road...
Modern, spacious, well furnished apartment. Excellent views to Santa Eulalia beach and ocean. Some traffic noise at night/early morning
The facilities are new, clean and modern. The beach and ocean view is amazing. Parts of the hotel are still under construction (restaurant, and grounds). Did not really impact our stay....
The rooms were fresh, pleasant and clean - it helps that they are newly built. The location was quiet and close to the beach. The pool and bar facilities were nice and the supermarket was very convenient. The restaurant was good and the waiting staff there very friendly. Apart from the restaurant staff and one of the young men on reception, the other reception staff were slow, not particularly friendly and service was not a strong point. When the air conditioning wasn't working and we needed a bath plug, it was an inconvenience. They did not appear to value repeat business.
The garden...and location...and service The old furniture and plastic terace equipment ...this is in contradiction to the general standards of the" luxury collection" ....really disapointing
Location to Beach, Breakfast included was a bonus. We had booked a TownHouse and from the website looked to be a modern, bright airy property; on arrival it was old, dark and damp; with bronchial problems in the family we have to move; 3 options later! We upgraded to a beautiful villa at extra cost of e2500 above that already paid! A expensive but good experience in the end.
The location and excellent facilities Not really a complaint but the restaurants on site are very expensive
Very little, the hotel was closed and the facilities were very limited. It is great in the summer but a no no in the winter, avoid at all costs Deserted, no facilities. Poor location if everything is shut
Great rooms plenty of room. Didn't like the fact that you have to pay to use the fitness facilities and indoor pool.
The facilities were excellent Additional payment for use of pool and gym
The pool, the place: is near beach and fun (strip), but quiet and has relaxing view. Just didn't use my car for 5 days because everything was very close. The studios and T1 apartments didn't have couple beds (the ones given to me), ar conditioned in studio where noisy but good in T1.
Cleanliness, size, location and pool area I was surprised that there were no waitresses at the pool area to take drink orders. The prices of drinks were also extremely expensive...
Good standard room, great views, good vfm
It's surprising to find such a relaxed place in this busy part of the Algarve! Airco was really missing in Alvagar I.
We enjoy the privacy and quiteness of Alfagar and yet the resort is set in a beautiful garden with convenient access to such a lovely beach. Cleanliness is excellent and staff are very pleasant. This was our third visit. Hot water for washing and cooking was in very short supply for half the time we were there.
Appartment, swimming pool, facilities for the kids. Nothing to complain.
The weather! apart from that the location was lovely and the complex was spacious, beautifully landscaped, and provided for all needs on-site. The fact that our stay was off-peak time was also a bonus in terms of tranquillity away from noise and crowds. It was interesting to see that a few previous criticisms/comments from guests had been noted and the requisite improvements made.
friendly staff very cold and only small heater with no effect
The maid service and reception staff were brilliant and issues were dealt with straight away, everything was clean Building work at back of our apartment started every morning and 7.30am, we feel we could have been told about this. The stray dogs barking constantly during the night made this the perfect hotel for insomnia
The children loved all the different pools - especially the one with the slides and water jets. We went in quiet season and found it very laid back and relaxing. Short walk down steps to beach and 20 min stroll to main strip of restaurants cheap taxi back.
Everything we needed for a perfect holiday with three small kids was close by. Good beach, good swimming pool with slides, playground, well stocked supermarket and good take aways from the restaurant. While we were there we got new pillows, a new garden table, new pans and a new large flat screen tv. Everybode from staff and house keeping was very friendly. The bathrooms do not have the same standard as the rest of the apartment, When we ordered a taxi via reception to get back to the airport we had a delay of 50 minutes. The staff did not manage it properly and we almost missed our flight.
The best place to stay for holiday in Albufeiro. Very nice place with view to ocean, new rooms, apartment has a coffee machine, microwave, oven and many other comfortable things. Cleaners could remove debris on a daily basis, and change the towels, which did not have time to dry.
The pools, restaurants were great the entertainment was good, had fun the fact that there was no air conditioning, and if we opened the windows or doors the bugs would go in.
Room was modernly decorated and very clean. Staff were friendly enough. Nice swimming area. Good value for money. Swimming pool was so cold
Got the pool view that was asked for when booking, only 10 minutes from the strip, cheap and cheerful plesent stay Towels only changed every 4 days, and bed sheets only once a week Race for sunbeds which had no cushions, very hard on back
Near to good bars and Restaurants, but not to near so the hotel is not noisy. Beach is not to near, but not so far that it would make you unhappy Internet could be cheaper or free if you have your own laptop.
Location is good and pool big but needed to be cleaned more. Nice place for money paid. Hotel charged for bus from airport even though bus never turned up. No doulbe beds, two singles pushed together. Pool should be kept cleaner.
Complex had good location to all amenities, far away enough from nightlife but close enough to walk. Entertainment in hotel could be improved, quite a long walk to beach
it was close to the shops and bars, it had a lovely swimming pool and nice gardens the extra beds in the apartment were not very good
Good hotel if you want to enjoy the Portugese sun and swim in the pool. There were quite some noisy hotel guests (night disturbance, loud discussions at pool side)
Pleasant hotel and staff. Very good value and good facilities. Would return. One noisy guest at 2.30 am. just only once.
location and services of aparthotel. didn't like studio room, transferred to a 1 bed apartment
The rooms were very clean. The staff were very helpful. Very big outdoor swimming pool and very small in door pool. Very close to the Montechoro strip with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Nothing
hotel was lovely, poolside loungers always available, very clean and well laid out.7min walk to beach-10 to strip.nice and quiet. the only thing that i did not like was as a double rm.beds still made up as 2 singles-very easy to sort at booking stage.also beds quite need more english channels uncomfortable and very small pillows.not a big thing but so easily fixed.
It was centrally located with good transport links. Rooms were good especially at rear of Hotel away from any potential traffic noise. Staff were very good. Air conditioning included in cost of room. Advert did not specify that items such as tv, Hair Dryer etc were at an extra cost in fact the advert gave the impression that these were all included. The beds in rooms 302 and 304 ( I presume the same was true of other 2 bed rooms) were nothing better than camp beds, did not feel this was justified at either the price and being a 4 star hotel or for the comfort of the guests, especially us pensioners and those that are stockier built. Did not feel it should be up to the guests to review the inventory, the items should have been checked prior to us occupying the rooms E.G. room 304 had only one blanket surely this should have been obvious when the cleaners prepared the room, and it took over a week to have this replaced!
Had a great time, the location is excellent for access to the strip and the supermarket, only bad point was the quality of the beds I stayed with a group of 6 and our 3 rooms had 2 single beds acting as a double bed...not ideal when you had a few drinks and wake up in the morning lodged between the two beds on the carpet!!
Hotel was clean and well maintained, good central location 10mins either way to Old Town/Strip. Beds in Studio Appartment were not very comfortable.
fantastic time had by 2 adults and 2 children, staff coulnt do enough to help. I would use again without doubt
Nice hotel. Clean and of good standard.Well located between new and old town with 10 minute walk each way. Lack of deck chairs a problem. Too many rules and regulations at the hotel.Studio bed was extremely uncomfortable and small.
The Hotel staff were friendly, the rooms kept spotless and it is centrally located between the Old town and the Strip. The exchange rate for pound!
Room space, cleanliness, value for money and centrally located. Yes, I didnt like the booking staff of hotel. It took them 4 hours to alot a room to me.
Staff were super friendly and spoke excellent English. The Portugese are very friendly people. Lovely hotel, clean, comfy and welcoming. Hassle free holiday, just brilliant. Would highly recommend this hotel, good prices and lovely people. I didn't get a pool view but then again I never asked for one.
