Super attentive staff, exquisite decor, yummy breakfast. My favourite shoes on sale in the hotel- bonus! (Christian louboutins) Rooms were stuffy despite air con (windows could not be opened)

The Merchant is a very luxurious hotel and even though it is in the heart of the City, we were not disturbed by traffic noise in the morning. The staff were very helpful and courteous. We had a lovely experience and would definately return.

Everything about the Merchant was excellent, but the quality of the room really stood out. We stayed in room 528 (a Deco deluxe room) and the view across to Victoria Square and the City Hall was worth the room rate on its own.

The Merchant is a stunningly gorgeous hotel, the beauty of the building is only outshone by the excellence of the staff. Nothing.

Lovely breakfast experience with lovely dining room, great location, staff all very nice Rooms whilst really lovely were very darkly lit and a bit small given the price.

staff were excellent without being over the top. Very friendly abd accomodating. The decor is amazing and food excellent nothing I could not fault it

The management and staff were outstanding and very helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, especially those who enjoy a little bit of luxury. No tea/coffee facilities in the room.
