Very convent for beach and airport

I really liked the location. Right on the beach island infront of the airport only 5 mins away. Get to watch the planes taking off and landing (if you're into that! ) We had a balcony overlooking the Rio Formosa and its so beautiful and peaceful even with planes nearby, the sunrise in morning a particular highlight. Breakfast was really well priced at 6 euros and you could have Franks and beans, bacon , eggs etc was really good !! We arrived on a sunday eve and it was a really lively atmosphere still downstairs with lots of music in restaurant playing and local bars /restaurant opposite were really good as well. lots of cocktails and good food was had over the 4 days we were here. I really enjoy the fact you can swim in the sea, then cross the island in 1 minute and swim in the river! lots of fun! We will be back for our 3rd visit to Faro next year !!! x P.s the staff were really helpful and went out of their way to help me when I needed it. Thankyou again. Daryl

Nothing! - It was exactly what I was expecting as I went here last year but stayed up road a bit in the town of Montenegro. So was really excited to actually stay on the island this time, rather than travelling down every day to the beach. If you like to watch planes take off and land while sitting on the beach then this place is the best you could want. If not, stay further along coast away from airport. Come in September if you want to avoid the july/aug tourist rush and for it to not be too hot ! always mid/high 20s with a nice breeze.
