Absolutely ridiculous, it was about 20-30 passengers that were denied boarding, including us. They sent us on a plane through Bogota, then to Medellín, arriving 7 hours later and only with a dumb breakfast voucher. I spoke to them that I had an important medical appointment for which I was travelling for, it did not matter. They made no no accommodations whatsoever."

I never see something like that before, I ask to her if everybody need to weight the carry on bag, She told me yes, but I stay on Checking places for a long time and I don't see anybody weight theirs carry on bags. Basically the company want to get my Money forced me to pay for extra weight."

What is exactly am I supposed to do in Bogota, Columbia for an unexpected additional 24 hours? I had no money, and my credit card wouldn't work there. This was the worst airline experience in my life. Absolutely horrible. I will never travel with Avianca again. Avianca staff spoke hardly any English, so I couldn't hardly communicate with them either. Horrible."

This resulted in a long discussion where I was held on hold until they could adequately determine that yes i missed the flight because they held us late. This was the only way that i was able to avoid their charge to me for being a “no show.”"

Contras: "The food was poor. At least three middle rows did not have any entertainment. We reported the problem, the chief/supervisor flight attendant said that she was going to assign us new seats, she then disappear and did nothing to solve the problem. I spoke with another flight attendant requesting to speak with this supervisor again, she said that I rather voice my complaint through latam.com and the mentioned supervisor, not only lied to us, but never showed up. It appears that latam needs to reinforce their staff training or perhaps to renew their staff supervisors and train them to avoid unnecessary lies to their passengers."

Got to D.C. and asked to switch to go into Westchester instead of LGA which we were denied. So changed to another connecting flight to LGA that didn't take off on time. Offered nothing for any of the inconveniences. Etc."

After debating with customer servinge several times and being forced to wait in line after being told things were fixed several time we had to threaten to record conversations and had someone call American Airlines headquarters and finally was able to get in the flight the same night. We at work be point were laughed at by an American Airlines customer service professional. I had purchased upgraded seats since I’m over 6 feet tall and they were not able to accommodate on the new flight, the flight was horrible and I had ton stand up every hour to make I the whole 12 hours."

There were only 2 people helping on check in (in machines) and these people were still not helping people (like me) with questions about on how to do check in in those machines. On the other hand to dispatch the bags there were almost 8 attendants to receive the bags. Ridiculous! I’ve tried calling American Airlines and Latam several times to assign a seat for me and they swore there were only middle seats but I know how airlines work to make extra money on these seats. At the end, they only gave me a middle seat option and I had to take I.t of course. On the plane I realized there were dozens of empty seats and yet they made sure not give them to me or anyone else. Unbelievable! Unfortunately I still have to use AA on my way back to Brazil. After this, I’ll chose another airlines for sure. Also, the 3,4,3 arrangement is ridiculous: there’s no corridor space making people touching you everything someone passes by your seat. And boy! Those seats are so uncomfortable and there’s no way to incline the chair so you can even have a little rest (because it’s impossible to even sleep on those seats). The crew were simply doing their jobs! No pleasure! No smile! No engaging with anyone unfortunately! They looked miserable and I asked for water and the flight attendant NEVER brought me anything. Seriously! Water is free!"

Contras: "Surprised by a snarky employee at gate check for my connecting flight home today. I fly with AA nearly every week for work. They grabbed my bag from me and insisted it be checked. I said I didn’t want to pay for checking and that it contained fragile items. It was a little over-stuffed for the scale. When I went to open it and remove some bulky items to put in my purse, they snatched my suitcase away and refused to let me touch my bag. I find this to be completely unacceptable. They had the gall to suggest I go to an airport store, buy a “suitable suitcase,” and take a later flight home. They made a scene and called a supervisor who kindly and promptly let me in my suitcase. The employee then spoke negatively about me loudly to nearby colleagues and refused to make eye contact. After the supervisor let me in my bag, I got on the plane with my suitcase. At one point, this employee made me feel like I was going to be kicked off of my flight; this was so unnecessary and extremely unprofessional. AA - your employees are better than this."

Contras: "I didn't like anything else about the flight. My seat was broken and the seats are incredibly cramped! Absolutely no leg room whatsoever. I am 6 feet tall which is an average male height so I can't imagine how anyone taller fits in those seats."
Prós: "When I arrived at the airport to see the scheduled 9:30a departure was pushed back to 1pm, the gate crew did a good job of keeping us updated and they even provided lunch! The plane was undergoing maintenance but they found another plane and did not have to cancel the flight, and ultimately got us to our destination safely. Crew was very nice."
Contras: "Flight was delayed 4 hours so my half day of travel became a full day, half of which was mostly wasted at the airport. Would rather have been with my family than sitting at the airport."

Contras: "Film selection was subpar, and had no subtitles available. Flight safety information video so unbelievably boring. Flight crew repeated all instructions at least 3 times including video interruptions. What is the point of having in flight entertainment if crew will interrupt said entertainment at least once every 10 min to remind you you are still in turbulent air? Do they honestly think the passengers forgot? We are in the plane too! I understand they have to be careful due to liability but this airline is ridiculous. Believe it or not customers do not like being treated like children. Would not recommend to others or fly this airline again. Also, the lunch was awful even by airline standards. Btw the airline was avianca not AA. kayak must have messed up or they are owned by AA. AA is great and I recommend them wholeheartedly but Avianca is awful. Stay away if you can afford to do so."
Prós: "The flight to LA was fine, but the screen shot of the flight details didn't match what I purchased with a return date a day sooner. American Airlines blames Alaska airlines and they blame Kayak.. it's a blame game that only looks good for everyone but the consumer!"
Contras: "5hrs in LAX due to flight change without notification.. American Told us to go see Alaskan vise versa, but the conclusion was no seats were even available for the flight that was changed a day earlier.. Alaska Airlines solution: 2 additional days of travel and $700 per ticket x4 tickets. Finally after 5 hours of trying to figure it out some resolution to the mistake $500+ with additional stops. Ridiculous to say the least, I had to pay for their mistake"

Also they lost my luggage. LATAM and American Air Lines doesnt know where my luggage is. I arrived at my LAX 12 hours after. They still dont know where my luggage is"

Contras: "I had my reservation cancelled despiste numerous phone calls. The flight was operated by AA, and they told me I wasn't on the flight, but after many phone calls LATAN assured me I was booked on the flight. When I got to the airport, I was not allowed to board my direct flight from GRU to LAX, instead I was sent to Miami then Charlestown , I took me an extra 12 hours to get home. I lost a day of work. Who's going to reimburse me for that ???"
Contras: "The plane was a very old 767. No tv The food was ok."
Contras: "The crew definitely needs to be changed. There needs to be hostesses who are more attentive and actually care about their passengers."

Prós: "Awful food selection, small entertainment selection, none of the crew knew how to properly board the plane and left guests waiting in the aisle for over 45 minutes of standing for no reason and then yelled at the passengers that we were 'late' and that the standing passengers were causing the delay of the aircraft! The staff were VERY, VERY rude. I would do yourself a favor and NEVER fly Iberia!"

The line reserved for baggage drop-off was used to prioritize check-in for a large group, making the benefit of online check-in meaningless! Also, the supervisor who intervened on my check-in issue lacked basic customer service skills!"
Prós: "I paid the $29 for an aisle seat and wasn’t disappointed. It was a pleasant flight."
Contras: "Hanging flown on several wide bodied aircraft, it’s been my experience that the A330 has a much better coach experience than the 777 aircraft models. For me, it’s a matter of legroom). Fortunately, I didn’t have anyone next to me on the flight and was able to spread out a bit (I’m 6’5”!!) My only other complaint was that while this was booked as an Iberia flight, the flights were all serviced by American Airlines. Check-in, seat selection were all handled by American. It was a little confusing in the online check-in process, because for months, the AA app wouldn’t recognize anything but the return legs of the trip using the record locator provided by Expedia."

The food was not bad either as it was pretty good and included many beverage options. Would like to see how they do for flights lasting longer than 8 hours. Mine was only about 5 and a half hours from Madrid to Tel Aviv."

Also staff were rude and unhelpful telling us to remove all things from the floor for take off and landing ( which i accept is the policy) but since we had nowhere to put them except on our laps (she’s, books, sweaters pocket book) as there is no seat in front for an exit row to put under. The staff member kept saying “up, up” motioning with her hand, but made no offer to assist us in finding overhead space. Upon our return flight, our pre booked exit row seats were switched on us right before boarding in a rude and matter of fact wayand my husband and I were separated one on either side of the aircraft. When we queried this, we were told it would be up to us to switch with the person sitting next to us. Overall very disappointing. I would not fly Iberia again."

Contras: "Iberia allows kids to abuse other passengers. I asked a flight attendant to stop this abuse after I was bumped in head a number of times by a kid that was jumping across a row a seats in front of mine ,the flight attendant told me that I should tolerate this abuse because it was from a kid,then proceeded to tell me that if I did not want to go throughout this abuse ,I should fly in a private plane. I felt irate at such response from a flight attendant and responded that I will never fly Iberia again. I wanted the attendant to talk to the parents and ask them to control their kid from abusing the adjacent passengers.I felt the impulse to talk to the crew chief but decided against it simply because I would do them a favor if they listened. Truthfully I think carriers with such attitudes deserve to go bankrupt and I hope they do."

Prós: "They took invalid information from my travel records which resulted in my passport from 2006 being on my ticket for 2017. Aside from not helping me getting on the plane, and or another connection, they proceeded to tell me after the fiasco that they are in no way elligble to refund anyone and are a 3rd party, therefore not liable. $700 and its not there fault. They just pushed all the paperwork"
Contras: "The fact that no one in this company is liable or helpful in tge slightest after they have your money"

My husband left his iPad on the plane, and realized as soon as we stepped off, but they refused to let us retrieve it. Instead, they went us through this ridiculous online process, where they determined they found the iPad, but "rejected our request to have it returned"!!!!!! The absolute worst!!"

People have lost their ability to be respectful, so please get rid of this and put the controls someplace else. This goes for all airlines. Thanks."
