Prós: "The flight to Zurich was delayed so I would have missed my connecting flight. We were automatically rebooked on British airways which got us home three hours sooner than the Swiss air connections. If they did the rebooking, I find that a real plus but can not rate them on anything else."
Prós: "The most difficult problem I have to deal with in airline transportation occurs when the fellow traveler in the seat in front of me decides to drop their seat back into my lap. The seats are so close together that when the seat in front of you is all the way back the following happens: 1. You can no longer view the monitor on the seat back. 2. You cannot eat or write from your tray top. 3. You have great difficulty getting out of your seat. 4. You have great difficulty keeping from severely injuring the occupant of that seat. The way to deal with this is to get out of your seat. Stand in front of the offending passenger and as politely as you can as him or her to refrain from dropping the seat back so far. But the airline should not put you in this situation."

Contras: "The flight from Nairobi to Zurich starts in Nairobi, flies an hour south to Dar es Salaam, you then sit on the tarmac for an hour, then you fly north for an hour until you get back to the starting point. I would think they would save money if they flew an empty plane down to Dar es Salaam, picked up those passengers and then flew back to Nairobi. No way should an 8.5 hour flight take over 11.5 hours. Plus my screen didn't work for one of the flights, nearly 12 hours without entertainment was BS. No real variety in their meals either. The first leg had a main meal of beef and potatoes as the meat option, same option for the second leg."

Contras: "I will only say that I am writing this review as we are sitting on the plane in Newark where we are waiting for our gate for a half an hour already and we do not know when we would get off board. And oh yeah... the flight was originally late for about an hour too! Simply unacceptable!"

I contacted customer service by email and was told I was all checked in. Assuming no issues I went to airport to find out it was canceled. I did not receive an explanation. I waited in line for two hours before speaking to a representative. Was made to feel like it was my fault I hadn't worked things out while waiting in line-"didn't you receive an email!?" I was told no other options except to leave the next day. I pulled up many other flights out of Venice that would get me home in time and was told that there simply were no other options. The real explanation was that Swiss didn't want to pay out to get me home in time. I had to pay more money to get back into the city rather than sit in airport for 12 hours."
Prós: "This direct flight from Zurich-Newark is pretty comfortable, especially if you get the two seats at the either sides of the plane (it's a 2x4x2 config in Coach). The food is really good, they are generous with drinks and the crew is really friendly and smiling! Would take this flight again without any reservations in future!"
Prós: "I am a big guy but the interior of this plane is laid out for more room than commuter flights are in the States. The window seats sit further off the wall so there is room for my shoulders to not be forced into the wall."

Prós: "On every flight I have ever been on, if I request it I can get a whole water bottle vs. the small cups offered...however on this flight they refused saying 'it is against the rules"?? As a result I had to bother the flight crew over 10 times to refill my small glass...a huge inconvenience for both of us. The other inconvenience (one I have not experienced in over 5-6 years) was the the headphone jacks were the old fashioned kind...meaning you could not use your own, and the buds given by the airline were very uncomfortable."

My complaints were met with nothing but rudeness by the Swiss Air employees at JFK. I then called Swiss Air, who confirmed that it was their error, but they told me that there was nothing that they could do, even when I asked if they cared that they were losing my business, they showed that they did not care at all. Never flying Swiss Air again."

Prós: "On both of my flights to New York City, I was amazed at how friendly and helpful the flight attendants were to the passengers. On my short flight from Basel to Amsterdam, a young French speaking girl was concerned about how to manage getting to her next gate. The flight attendants talked to her and arranged for someone to take her there. On my longer flight from Amsterdam to New York City, there was a customer who was in distress about missing a previous flight and not making it to her connecting flight in New York. One of the flight attendants reassured her until she stopped crying and calmed down. That same flight attendant was always so positive and cheerful in all she did. The rest of the crew was top notch. This was my best experience flying in such a long time. Well done, KLM crews of flights 1984 and 0645 on July 10!"

Contras: "Flight way delayed 3 hours. Staff gave no information and wouldn't help rebook us onto other flights. They gave us food vouchers 2 minutes before we finally boarded, so we couldn't use them. The food on the plane had spoiled so we were all starving on the flight, and we all missed our connections. Horrible experience and wouldn't fly with KLM again."
Prós: "Of the multiple international airlines I recently flew with, I would have to say KLM was by far the best. Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating, great in-flight entertainment, although I have the go-go in-flight data/entertainment plan with t-mobile (highly recommended), the flight included a decent selection of movies, television programs, etc. The food far exceeded typical "airline quality," even for an international flight - and included a fabulous little snack box with locally sourced gourmet and specialty items such as chocolate from Belgium, fine cheeses from France, and crackers from England. Drinks = gratis, and crew was exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make flight as pleasant as possible."

Contras: "Since we had two extra bags (paid for in Chicago), they demanded to see my receipt before we could board in Amsterdam to Nairobi. We had trouble locating the receipt and we were not given an explanation as to why we needed it again. We were traveling with 5 kids including an infant and we were not allowed to board until we found the receipt. I thought surely they would have record that I had paid, but I guess not. We were the last to board and all very stressed out. The staff seemed not to care the least in our troubles."
Contras: "The flight was very delayed. We sat on the floor because there was not enough seating. We eventually had to squeeze into buses and drive around the tarmac to find a plane. We lost 5 bags in the process but eventually got them 2 days after arrival. the bags did not show up when we originally were told they would."
Contras: "Flight was delayed 4 hours. was not able to make connecting flight in Amsterdam. No flights from Amsterdam to final destination in the US. Lost one full day. Had to stay overnight. What a cluster mess. Will never fly with KLM airlines and would not recommend. Will spend a little extra money and fly on other airlines......very poor, disorganized, and horrendous flight experience. Buyer beware."
Contras: "Taking off late caused me stress because I had transferring flight within less than two hours in transit originally. So we arrived later about 50 minutes so I had to manage my situation and find my next gate and be on time. And an other thing that I disliked was that I was allowed to have only one baggage which was very unusual for international flight between two countenances. And the crew was not polite enough so she made fun of my Cary-on. In short, I expected more from KLM which is famous for them being "Royal" but not acting as one of them."

Prós: "I flew with multiple international airlines this summer and KLM was by far the best. The crew of KLM were exceptionally attentive, polite, and helpful. The meals were by far the most enjoyable of my airplane travel meals; and I learned that KLM does not charge for it's drinks on international flights, unlike most other international airlines that I traveled with this summer. In a sentence, flying with KLM was a very pleasant experience and I will recommend this airlines to others."
Contras: "If I were going to list any negatives, I would say that the little travel pillow that was given to the passengers was so thin that it was practically useless, but I brought my own with me, so I was none the less comfortable."

Prós: "I can't even count the number of times I have flown KLM in the last 4 years. They are my airline of choice when I fly back and forth from the U.S. thru Amsterdam to Nairobi. This last flight I boarded and then 90 very exuberant girls from London board in all the rows in front of me. I was concerned it was going to be a less than restful flight. Just the opposite. As always the KLM crew took extra ordinary care of all of use. The service was wonderful and I scooted off the flight ahead of the girls to make my very short connection. The crew is what always make the experience delightful! Thank you again KLM."
Contras: "It would be so nice if the arm rests came up all the way. When you have empty space on your row it would be nice to move the arm rests all the way and stretch out. Also there were not as many New Release Movies to choose from as usual, it seemed."

Then obviously both seats were fully booked and I jammed in the corner. Ridiculous."

Contras: "Inbelievably chaotic boarding process for Kili to Dar leg. No boarding lanes so had to fight through the crowd. Was able to observe cleaning process at Dar stop, which was cursory and am sure there was no cleaning of seats of those who boarded at Kili."

Contras: "At one point during the flight I took a video out of my window with my camera, a member of the cabin crew barked at me in French. In bewilderment I asked her in English to repeat herself and she sarcastically repeated what she had said, in French, I asked for her to speak in English (which she had done to me previously on this Paris to London flight) yet again she scolded me in French. I was left absolutely none the wiser and it left a bad taste in my mouth."
Prós: "Movie selection was awesome! Food was good too."
Contras: "Too many interruptions. Every time there's an announcement, it interrupts the movies and some of the announcements were completely unnecessary and there were so many of them, it was like constant interruptions, really annoying."

Contras: "we had paid for the exit row and had a luxurious amount of room. But when we tried to sleep, our fellow passengers came and stood at our feet and talked so loudly that we could not possibly sleep. They stayed there for more than an hour. Would have loved for the staff to maybe ask them to tone it down, if not move."
Prós: "The crew was friendly."
Contras: "One of the engine was smoking just as we took off. This should have been checked beforehand that it was working correctly. The pilot missed the first landing, was going too fast and had to turn around. We circled the London eye 3 times. When we were actually landing it was extremely bumpy and on the way down the plane was tilting back and forth a lot. They were going too fast when we landed as well, I have never been in a plane that has landed so poorly, and I have travelled a lot and used many different airlines. It was worse than any budget airline I've been on. As we were driving back to the terminal, the pilot stopped short for some reason. Things were not explained clearly. I will not be flying with airfrance again and will be sure to spread the word of this awful experience."

Prós: "I liked that there was a bit more space, larger seats and only two seats (instead of 3) along both sides of the plane. The blankets and pillows were nicer than economy, and the service was impeccable, friendly and attentive. The cabin was quiet, and I was able to sleep most of the flight ,probably because I was exhausted and it was a night flight."
Contras: "We paid 370 euros to upgrade and for that amount, I wouldn't do it again. The seat comfort wasn't much better than economy, the food was exactly the same as economy -- terrible, especially because we were flying from Brazil to Paris -- so the only thing you're getting is a bit more space and less people. The movie selection was tired - or at least not my cup of tea."
Prós: "The flight attendants were so funny, uplifting, friendly, and willing to help that it turned the flight into an alternative experience."
Contras: "The seat, food, and movie selection don't apply to what a premium flight promesses. 370 eiro upgrade is way too expensive for only a little difference. I took premium two years ago and there was a real difference, but now they cut food and movie experience to half it was."

Contras: "Retornei ao Brasil na classe Premium Economy, acreditando que teria mais conforto. Apesar do maior espaço entre as poltronas e o reclino maior e interno( A poltrona da frente não te atrapalha) e do suporte regulavel para panturrilhas, o estofamento parece mais duro que o da classe econômica. No mais o pior foi a temperatura, desconfortávelmente quente, o espaço da Premium Economy só melhora quando abrem as cortinas e circula o ar mais fresco que vem da classe econômica."
Contras: "As poltronas desta aeronave, são muito apertadas, como é um voo curto, isto não fez a menor diferença, mas em um voo com mais de três horas de duração isto seria um transtorno."
Contras: "Próximos do final da viagem recebemos o aviso de que iríamos para o Rio de Janeiro abastecer, atrasamos o vôo 3horas, não havia problemas de mau tempo em Guarulhos"

Contras: "They have a terrible communication problem, they never communicated why the flight was late, they never communicated what they were doing or what was happening. Bad customer service. Bad communication with the client. They told us when I asked several times that we would not lose our connection and that everything was fine and that was not the case. We lost the connection. No one told us anything. Another problem was that the girl in the boarding process removed the suitcases tickets from the boarding pass and did not want to return them, and held it without any cause. Without that tickets we can not claim the bags. The flight staff went looking for us. Pretty sad and disappointed by their service. I understand that they were causes outside the airline but must communicate to the client. They cannot remain silent and say nothing."
Prós: "Good selection of movies."
Contras: "Had to use a shoe horn to get into and out of my seat and I'm not a large guy. But really my harsh criticism comes from the loss of my girlfriends luggage. It was left behind in Paris on our way to Casablanca causing us to waste a day in Casablanca traveling back to the airport the grab the bag the next day. And to add injury to insult her bag was left behind in JFK during our transfer for our flight to Seattle. No big deal right, Delta will deliver the bag to our house the next day, wrong, we were told we have to go to the airport ourselves to get the bag."
Contras: "Kayak updated me that my flight would be late. It wasn't. Missed it had to pay $700"
Contras: "No leg room at all, cant believe those seats met legal standard. The plane smelled, boarding was a nightmare because too many people had big bags. An announcement had been madd that vags would be collected, but obviously were not."
Contras: "Our request for vegetarian meals got lost after a glight was cancelled."

Prós: "The entertainment system is pretty good. Touch screens work great, and you can charge your phone. The plane itself is fairly up-to-date, and the headrest is adjustable and very comfortable."
Contras: "I am 6' / 183cm and 210lbs / 95 kg. The seats are quite narrow, and little legroom. I don't think I'll fly them again."

Contras: "Madrid to Tampa... Got the nursery. Lots of crying babies... must be immigrating to the US. Why don't they put all people with babies at the rear so the rest of us can nap? Not IB's fault, the customs at Miami came to a halt for an hour. 2000 people standing in line, missing connections. There was a shift change, most employees didn't show up for work. was told 'It's a special day'. Fortunately I was at the head of the line. A few of us were routed to someone who was surprised to see US citizens. As a consequence, the always slow MIA failed to transfer my luggage. Still waiting for it... Air travel is such a pain these days. I'm sure more would fly if it wasn't such a hassle."

Contras: "Connecting flight by the same airline put us only 10 mil late. The plane was still at the gate, but they did not let 15+ of us on board and left. We had to wait for 2 hours at a very unfriendly customer service to get placed on another flight."
Prós: "I flew business class: the crew and comfort was great; the food was pretty good."
Contras: "Boarding was horrendous: they have the whole flight stand and wait to board! In Madrid, they called to initiate boarding and we stood for 15-20 min before anyone moved at all; business class was then called, and we ended up standing another 15-20 min in the jetway before being ushered into the plane! Even in business class, the entertainment system was poor it's difficult to use and my system froze entirely on the way to Madrid. It worked on the way back, but the selection was relatively limited and poor."

The night before I was unable to check in because their site had crashed, so there was no way for me to know where to go."
Prós: "Food was good. Nice blanket and pillow."
Contras: "The flight attendants were rude. I read online that they were but tought it can't be that bad. In real life, I was amazed by their general disregard and apathy associated with their job and us flyers. It was worse than the reviews. I really felt like they hated Americans. One flight attendant rolled her eyes when asked for something, another snacked her lips. They really don't seem like they like their jobs or their customers. If that's the case, move on."
Prós: "No nonsense all business crew. Barajas airport."
Contras: "Chaotic boarding. A large crowd was allowed to clog gate access, and no announcements were made regarding boarding procedures therefore as a preboarding family with toddler we had to push through the crowd to accessential the gate. It seems boarding status announcements could have alleviated the boarding tension."
Prós: "Boarding is quick and easy. Seating is comfortable enough for a one hour flight."
Contras: "No free beverage service . Snacks and drinks cart is wheeled through, but no one buys on such a short trip."

Contras: "The last thing I would ever expect from a flight attendant is negligent behavior. A child aged around 5 years old clearly unattended by parents throughout the entire 9 1/2 hour flight to Chicago was not only being disruptive but his behavior could have placed him in danger. From banging the table shut successively against the chair, to walking on top of the seat and placing his hands in the monitor behind him not allowing me to see my screen. Furthermore, his feet and legs dangled and kicked the person immediately next to him across the aisle, creating a dangerous environment for himself and for others as he could have gotten hurt from somebody or a cart passing through. I proceeded to express my concern for the child's safety and the flight attendant expressed these matters are delicate and refused to engage the parent in any type of conversation. This child's screams and incessant yelling lasted the entirety of my flight, hindering ANYBODY from sleeping or watching their entertainment without interruption. Hopefully in the future when faced with not only an extremely disruptive family but a clinically uneasy child, flight attendants will make an effort to at least announce the importance of respecting other people's flight experience. Needless to say this is the very last time I ever fly Iberia. This matter was not only brought to the crew's attention once but three times by three different people."

Contras: "Iberia Airlines The flight attendants on the Iberia section of the flight from Madrid to Chicago could have cared less. The plane was late and the crew could have cared less. They fasten seat belt sign was on way way too long with no turbulence so they did not have to open the bar. They would not serve vodka from the cart and you needed to go to the back of the aircraft for it. Will not fly Iberia again. ."

What happens when you have a inconsiderate person playing games behind you tapping your seat back like they are playing the xylophone? Ridiculous! People have lost their ability to be respectful, so please get rid of this and put the controls someplace else. This goes for all airlines. Thanks."
Prós: "The dood was decent (rice and chicken instead of a sandwich). Entertaiment was great, we had more than 20movies to choose from."
Contras: "The only bad thing was the weather. Ee ended up arriving 1hr later due to heavy rain, but then at the airport you could hear Iberia employees calling passengers with connections to speed up their process."
Prós: "The crew was fabulous! And the ride was on time and had plenty of entertainment."
