Hotel was situated by the metro and bus stops into centre of paris. Very easy journey by bus or train to see sights. Transport was cheap, plenty of shops bars and restaurants all around the hotel. Staff were helpful and friendly. No english tv stations unless you want to constantly watch the news. Very small lift.
The metro station is next door... The bathroom was a discrase for a hotel chain like Holiday inn, there where many defaults in the bathroom, the room itself was old and you could see it was used a lot... it is time to refurbish.
Service was good; the bathroom looked new (whereas the building looked very old). I think the carpet should be replaced by wooden floor. It looked dirty although it may not have been. Also one of the night table is broken. The fridge is so full it is difficult to add your own food or drinks bought outside. I read there was a business center but it is in fact the front desk and they use only very coarse paper I was ashamed sending.
Friendly stuff, provide useful information about the attraction nearby. Comfortable room. Too far from town. Can access to famous places with metro but need to change other metro lines.
Quiet and safe location No valet parking
clean the room on time and very tidy the lights in the room are not very bright
the room was very large with a kings size bed and double sized sofa bed, and a large bathroom. we were two, but seems to be good for a family. the staff are very friendly. it's very close to the metro station (very nice area with restaurants and a supermarket). very quiet. we were lucky to stay at very cheap rate!
Clean, friendly A bit out of the way
Right next to the underground. Made it easy to get from the hotel to other places of interest.
Easy to reach metro. 15 min walk to Roland garros . I always pay in advance by CASH (inorder not to carry) to hotels wherever I stay and never had a problem like that. They asked us about the breakfast and we decided to pay for 3 days 2 person as a total of 90 euros extra. Our other friend decided to pay by credit card and he also asked for 3 day breakfast . We made 1 day and decided not to have it other two days. When we returned to hotel we told this to night manager and he said hw would tell this to day manager. In the morning I told this to morning manager and he told me 'Yes yes I know' . Anyway when we checkout they accepted my friend to pay for 1 breakfast by credit card but they rejected for me to return my 60 euros !!!! They say they can not !!! BURGLARS ...
It was close to the metro, which makes traveling easy. Everyone who works there seems to speak French and English. The elevator was ridiculously small. Also, the people working at night seemed really annoyed that they had to let me in and out. I felt a bit as if I was trapped inside overnight.
The convenience of the location for us. The staff did make every effort to accommodate my family - including moving furniture etc to make room. There was no parking close by and unloading from the car outside was very hazardous. No provision for taking any bags to our room - my wife and children had to await my return from parking the car (nearly 45 minutes) to go up to our room! The breakfast wasn't advertised as being just bread and jam and cereal - there was no cooked breakfast provided.
The staff were friendly and helpful
Breakfast was included in the room rate. It was convenient for Roland Garros and in a nice area. It was not well maintained. Three lights were not working when I arrived and had to be mended. There was no plug in the washbasin and the shower head leaked badly, spraying water as much upwards as down.
Distance to Parc des Princes Very unfriendly staff
Location was perfect, close to metro etc. Staff was very friendely and helpfull. Bathroom was poor, impossible to regulate water temperature in shower, which was dirty.
Lovely hotel with great staff. Great value for the money.
The hotel was near a Metro and near where I was working Poor breakfast that started too late in the morning.
it was close to the area we needed and easy to find lack of parking and the local parking was closed
Location - near metro, taxi stand and buses; Accommodating and helpful staff; breakfast is adequate
Staff is helpful. Location is good - close to Metro. Several places to eat nearby covering a range of prices.
Perfect for short familly trip.
Clean, comfortable. We hear the sound of lift from our bed room all the time as it located next our room.
Staff welcoming, hotel clean and tidy and restraunt meal was excellent
It was good None
restaurant portions were very small for the cost. i think the neuvo quisine approach should be abandoned and larger portions offered.
Nothing I found the staff to be extremely rude, the linen in the room smelt disgusting even after changing the linen it was still terrible, my pre-arrange tax service was always late causing us to almost miss our cruise dinner, my wake up call from the hotel was 30mins late, the food menu was terrible and the food was not great either & i would never reccommend this hotel to anyone.
Windows were open 1cm and nailed there! the room was on a main road where the noise did not abate and we couldn't close the windows!
The staff very friendly and the free internet in the room.
Kind hotel Staff, very good, wifi, a nice large clean room, well designed working desk. The location of Hotel is perfect for my purpose(business). It is an expensive hotel but you've got what you paid for, and I think with the same price you get a lot smaller room in the center of Paris usually.I also like the fact that they have smoking room as smokers tend to be discriminated more and more (and at the same time no smell of cigarette at all in the another area The water tmperature of bath and shower is set on 38 degree which wasn't hot enough for me and it can be colder but not hotter. Also the room temprature wasn't warm enough for me to work at night although it may be a good temperture to sleep. I tend to feel cold so for the most of people it would be ok, but I'd prefer to be able to make it warmer(there is a controller but I couldn't make it warmer at night time)
after reading 1 poor review I was apprehensive but need not have worried as I could not fault the staff or the hotel or the breakfasts. All were excellent. The friendly efficient staff in all departments.
Friendly and helpful staff Breakfast price was high for what was on offer
Clean, comfortable, modern, close to Metro, restaurants and shops. Some staff need to be a little less rude and agro. Some extra english language channels on TV would. Wine glasses and a corkscrew in the room would be good - you are in France after all and a glass of wine or two is mandatory. Room service was a little flaky (breakfast included croissants and pastries on day one and dry, stale bread by day four for the same order).
A good, clean hotel with friendly staff at a good location
very overpriced for a fairly basic hotel - especially compared to similar priced hotels nearby
It was close to the festival site which made the event even more enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
great food small, old rooms twin beds renovation going on (paint fumes, dust, etc.)
Clean, Good location, Bathroom, Bar, Breakfast, Lobby area.
Good hotel for business. Metro not to far but long way from City centre and train station. Additional charge for Internet and extra for VPN capability, in this day and age Internet should be included at no extra charge.
I did not like the fact that they charge the credit card immediately upon booking which was totally wrong in spite of their conditions. I did not like the fact that they do not allocate rooms as per your requirements but as you arrive so we ended up having a smoking room when I had required a non-smoking. For the price we paid we had more facilities in other hotels than the Mercure.
Hotel is situated in a quiet residential area of Paris yet has a number of restaurants nearby and train and Metro services are a short walk away. A number of local bars and restaurants unfortunately close for the weekend.
Brand new room, great service and perfect location with good parking.
modern rooms with small kitchen, silent location, good air con, choice of two types of breakfast.
room service was good quality, prompt and friendly hot water ran out during pouring the bath, and took all night to reheat.no french hotels, even expensive ones, have tea/coffee facilities!!!
