No basic facilities like fridge, micro, coffee maker in room

They will not store your luggage before or after check in, you've to pay $5/bag. It's not much but other hotels will do it with no extra charge. Don't expect anything fancy for that price and location but it's decent.
My room was poorly managed, tv needed to be replaced. Only reason. I stayed here was because of the price and that it was centrally located.
That MOMA did not have my reservation sent over and had to call Geneva to get them to send it over costing me extra money for toll call across the world and then waiting an hour for it to be sent , never using them again even if it was the best deal not a happy customer that's for sure
Basically located in the center of everything
Old, worn down, room WAS NOT clean when we checked in , old q tips and used soaps in bathtub, bathroom looks like it hasn't been updated since 1980...we didn't say anything BC we were there only for one night so we didn't want the extra headache....yes its cheap but next time I'll pay a little more and stay at a much better hotel
Location, that's it.
Hotel is dark, dirty rugs, old roo me furniture, old bathroom. Hotel over all needs to be remodeled from top to bottom.
One older male at check in desk was curt
Location is Great and convenient to everything!!
mattress had big sag/hole in the middle and pillows were almost flat. Rooms appear very worn/dated and there's no refrigerator.
I liked the location and felt like we got I deal for the location... the room was small and very dated but it served its purpose and was perfect for the weekend concert.
It was close to the building where I was working.
Hard bed Musty smell thankfully the windows could be cracked open. Bath too small. Elevator too slow. Surly staff. Tried to tack on an additional $30 facilities fee for nothing. WiFi is slow. Will never stay there again even if it means a long commute.
Location right on Penn station
First of all, the shower was awful. Burning hot to freezing cold no matter what you set it to. The view was just another wall of the same building, and it looks like the windows have never been washed. The mattress was hard and our nonsmoking room had cigarette burns in the bedspread. The room was so small that the mini-fridge was unable to open even halfway. Lastly, the antique door was bulky and barely opened wide enough to wheel a suitcase through. Paid extra for the 1500 suite access which included breakfast, no one watches that door so I enjoyed a bagel with no cream cheese, using the single broken toaster. Coffee machine broke and no one fixed it for the time they leave the coffee out so no coffee. WiFi cost $10 a day, didn't use that.
location was great! very clean nice staff
every thing looked old. very simple hotel a long wait for check-in(long line) they at first gave us a room that was taken, found that out only when we got up to the room opened the door and found suitcases and stff all over... no fun..
The location!! Easy access to so many aspects of Manhattan - subway, sites, food, post office, etc. The price was good considering it's so convenient, too.
Tough for such a large hotel, but it needs modernization. It's just a little 'used'.
The lobby looked amazing and the location was great. The front desk staff was pretty great when I was in front of them.
They couldn't find the reservation I made. I had called down for extra pillows 4 times before I gave up and then they arrived after 11 pm. When I tried calling the front desk the woman on the phone sounded annoyed that I called multiple times. yet the only reason why I did was because I still hadn't gotten my pillows and needed to find out if they finally got my reservation so I knew that I wasn't going to be charged twice.
nothing to like about.
so many. dirty, smelly, 100 years old bed and carpet. do not go. pay some more for better hotel.
Location is amazing. Walking distance from everything of interest in Midtown / Hells kitchen. 1 step away from the subway.
Had to pay for leaving the bags in the basement for 2 hours before my train. $5 per bag, cash only - very disappointing. The room was not very clean, I could see someone's palm prints on the dusty bed frame. The furniture is old. Like, I regretted not bringing my own sheets and towels - I didn't quite trust the hotel with cleanness.
Long check in lines.... Dirty.....smelly .... Dump
they charge more that I paid before for the reservation. The rooms were so old and dirty. There were no fitted sheets or mattress pads and so dirty. Just a top sheet. Terrible pillows. Our shower curtain had black mold on it. The carpet is so old and dirty. We wore shoes anytime we were in the room. The lobby is too crowded. The staff was not friendly. I think they get so many complaints that they are mute to complaints. They don't care. I hated this hotel. It was gross. I do not recommend this hotel at all. no for pleasure or business. even a motel is much better than this "hotel".

That it was in midtowm
his is the most horrible hotel I have EVER been to. All the staff I've come across has provided terrible services. They were rude and had nasty attitude. The hotel room floor on level 4 and level 7 was disgusting. The hotel did not provided any slippers for their stained brown floors. It was rare for house keeping to answer the phone. I waited over 2 hours for towels and pillows twice . I would always have to go to the front desk for any problems because they don't do anything over the phone. I would never come back to this nasty and disgusting hotel. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. I would give this hotel zero stars if possible. I rather stay at the inn than this place. This hotel is a JOKE!
The only thing particularly good about this hotel was its proximity to Times Square
This is apparently a very old hotel and rather than modernize it, it is treated like a living museum.
Have stayed many times. This is a no frills type of place, but very easy to get around and perfect if you are coming into the city on the train.
This is one of the most touristy and ugly parts of the city. The hotel is what it is. It feels safe and is relatively clean but also dingy. Really don't like the hawkers right outside the hotel. The hardest part is just getting past the block and sometimes getting past the crowds to get on with the day.
I liked the location and friendly staff.
The hotel hallways are very dirty. Old walls with chipped paint. My bathroom toilet seat had rips in it. There was mold under the bathroom counter. Dirty bathroom floor. This hotel should be $100 per night not $250. If you're staying for a night then this is ok to stay but if you are visiting New York for more than one night, try a different hotel. I for one won't be staying here again!
Location is its only redeeming quality.
Mold in my room and AC unit. Hair in my bed. Enough said.
Remodel urgent the rooms
Hotel was excellent and cleaned. we liked it. I will always recommend my friends to stay here and my next visit will be there.
Front desk rude very unconcerned about our problem and asked us to call Kayak/getaroom. Didn't get any help their either. Told me they would refund my money. Never felt homeless until that very moment.
Hotel did not have our reservation and was full and turned us away. We booked by Kayak/Getaroom and had confirmation number but was turned away at the hotel as they were full.
Well located, provides just what you need. In NYC, little time is spent at the hotel; the beds were comfortable and the bathroom clean.
The rooms and bathrooms do look run down, but considering the price and being in NY, it's OK for a few days.
The hotel was centrally located to public transportation, Times Square, shopping, and dining.
The hotel is old and I like that, but it could use a remodel to freshen up the rooms.
Took way to long to get checked in from the time I book it online to check in took 3 hours and had to call getaroom and stay on the phone for 45 min until I got an answer. When I asked for my receipt the next morning I was told they don't have it I have to print it online.
Its location was perfect for what my friends and I had planned for the weekend.
My friends and I came in late after a night out in the city to go to bed. We lay down in the bed and half the bed collapsed to the ground. When it was brought to the attention of management they said they would put the room out of commission but never offered to compensate us in any way for our uncomfortable night stay. I had even asked if there was a place we could hold out bags at the hotel while we got lunch because we had 3 hours before we had to catch our train and he directed us to the baggage claim downstairs where we would have to pay for them to hold it. Very disappointed. I would ever stay there again.
The location of the hotel is great and the apartment is very big.
The carpet was not cleaned.
The Location, because is close to everything
There was one Employee, especifically on the booth that you ask for directions and buy tickets for Shows concerts etc that was very rude. We ask for some opinions and all she said thay she couldnt tell us nothing. For me she was very rude, also an Old lady came to the lobby and she was about to cry because she was lost, and this employee or receptionist didnt try to help her. I felt so bad for her that we call a taxi and tried to help her.
Although there was an issue with our kayak booking (hotel never received booking-needed to have vendor fax to hotel), the staff has helpful and helped us the best they could. Lobby was nice. Everything looked clean
Matress and pillows weren't very comfortable..room was small but it is NYC, it's to be expected.
The location was excellent and it is very spacious.
It is very old, so some facilities aren't as up to date as they should be.
