The young lady who worked at the front desk on mornings need a little bit of training in customer service and the experience would have been excellent for my purpose of business. Completely unsatisfied with the way she spoke to my mother. No respect. My mother called me in distress. The clerk was right about what she was trying to communicate and I accepted that as my responsibility, and rectified it. But speaking to my mother as if she is poor and can't afford their room (which we only stayed at for location purposes) is unacceptable. She is dangerous to your establishment if she remains untrained since you never know who your establishment will entertain. Your establishment should be grateful that the other woman, who works on afternoons, is the darling that she is. Good choice for business.
Finding a hotel in Manhattan for that price is hard. It isn't very fancy, but has the basics. If you are in NYC for a short trip, and you're mostly running around outside and you come to sleep only, this is perfect for you. The heater has no settings in which you can change its flow; by the middle of the night, we were all sweating and sleeping with our clothes off. Given it is winter, I can't complain too much. Standard double beds, tv with no decent channels, wifi you pay for separately, a wardrobe for your suits to hang, a little coffee table and a nice bathroom.
