EVERYTHING was Amazing. The view, service, room service, amenities and the room was perferct We loved everything
The place is awesome and we really enjoyed it The place is 5stars but the service and the employees are 0 stare
Much better than the Ritz @ Laguna Nigel or Montage. Outstanding service
the views and the bungalow room was great food service (both in room and at the pool lunch) was slow, inaccurate and not as expected. although the food quality was very good.
Beautiful resort! Loved our room. Food was amazing! Love the boutique on site. Front desk was great. Had an early check in. Staff overall was very slow and not to experienced when it came to bellman and room service. Every time we called for something we sat on hold for a period of time. Then when we left the resort i couldn't see out of my car windows. I had hard water spots all over my beautiful clean mercedes. The sprinklers covered my car and when i asked the valet to help with windex they looked at me like I was crazy.
Mattress was comfy. No self parking option. Valet $32 but half price for hybrid vehicles.
The bathroom was great and the bed was very comfortable. The restaurant was just fair.
Quiet room, good gym, nice pool area, friendly staff. Limited food options (restaurant closed for lunch on Saturday), mediocre TV reception (channels and quality), room looked a bit tired.
Below average service Room had a weird smell. Asked reception to change my room and they said that they couldnt. They told me that I would need to upgrade and pay the price difference. Cleaning service were cleaning empty rooms at 10 pm while we were trying to sleep. 32$ parking per night in an area where it should be free. Better options out there. Definitely not returning.
Got a great deal great location! Be prepared for the $30 parking fee.
$32/night mandatory valet parking is ridiculous. Other than that, nice place.
The rooms need to be updated.
The staff was very friendly and they surprised us a an anniversary treat!! The room was beautiful and the bed was super comfy! Valet is mandatory and quite expensive!
We booked a single King. We got a tiny room with two double beds. Said they were out of Kings. Said they don't guarantee requests for online bookings. We were very disappointed. They did move us the second night but there was a constant banging noise in the vent so we couldn't sleep. We were treated like second class boarders. Parking is $32 a night with no option. The breakfast was not up to Fairmont standards. We will not stay there again.
$32 for parking! My god.
It was all very beautiful, nice comfortable bed. Everything seems nice, new, and fresh. Amazing internet speed. Seems very executive. No where nearby will have free or cheap parking. I paid $30 bucks for parking overnight and $20 for wifi. Room was decently priced, but it was so fancy i didn't want to take the complimentary soaps just incase they'd charge me for that too.
Clean an beautiful room I did not like paying $32 to valet our car for one night
Quite for relaxation Nothing I can think off.
Manager on site was very rude and unfriendly ! He never apologized for his behavior nor did he offer a solution
Breakfast excellent. Free Internet. Good location. Parts of the hotel could do with updating.
Very clean, room with internet and service attendants were excellent. The food was very good. Ciomplement the fitness center with more options than what was available.

Loved the location. Also very friendly staff and included buffet breakfast was nice. Room was very small and dark. While it was clean, the carpet was old/ dingy.
Great location They are doing 'renovation' so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt but the hotel just seemed 'tired' Rooms are very small. Rooftop deck is great but super crowded and we were never able to get a table in the evenings
quaint and cozy and a great location room was a bit small
Location to beach. Safe and fridge in room. Great hotel staff--very friendly. Fabulous hot breakfast--great food w fresh fruit, crispy bacon & hot coffee. Room was hot. They provided a portable ac but it didn't work & was extremely loud. After replacing it twice, the 3rd unit worked. Used ear plugs & cover our heads w pillows to get any sleep! I will never stay on 1st floor again!
Bizarrely decorated room (room had been redone recently) that made me feel like I was in medieval times. Weird. Breakfast was good and the hostess there was very friendly. IT IS SO LOUD I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT! To get to my room, I had to walk by the public men's and ladies rooms which patrons of the very loud and busy bar use. 15 people waiting in line, blocking the hallway, and at one point, someone vomited. Not pleasant.

every hotel staff is friendly! beach access! free parking, free breakfast small bathroom
Breakfast, view, accessible! Great deal for the money! Pool was kind of shabby, needed upgrade. Very difficult to get in n out of bathtub for showering!
Location, location. Aliso Viejo beach is always our destination beach, when we go into the laguna area. Very convenient location. We were a little worried when we arrived to our front hotel room, to find it was right next to the breakfast area. It actually turned out to be a perfect location, woke up and strolled right next door to eat. Food was great! Great access into the city after breakfast. No complaints, will definitely be back.
Great staff, hotel and overall experience. Very well maintained. Clean and they pay attention to the little things. The staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was great. We will defiantly be staying there again next trip without a doubt. The one thing that stood out to me immediately was the doors to the rooms.. they were structured in a way to be secure, safe and worry free when you left the room. A little pricy, but honestly you get your money's worth.
I love the location and the room. I did not like that no one informed me that paying for beach-side view would include the 7am wake up from street construction crew that was directly below me. Jackhammers going at 8am which at that point I decided to not extend my stay and check out! If I had known I would have never even stayed there in the first place!!!
Location was amazing and price was great. Pool, breakfast and view was our favorite. Our room was on the first floor and when we walked in we noticed it was damp in the room. Then we noticed that our room was half underground. So we figured for 1 night, with the location and price that we would just deal with it. Later that night after going out for cocktails and dinner we came back into the room to find that it was still really damp like an old basement even with the air conditioning on high for hours. After reading all the ridiculous rules and instructions about the whirlpool we got in to find out non of the controls worked so it was an all or nothing experience. Hours later in the middle of the night I awoke to the air conditioning make loud noises. In the morning I found that the carpet around the whirlpool was wet due to some kind of leak from the water closet. Also no air conditioning in the bathroom. All and all the place was very nice but they didn't offer any discount or anything for our experience. *don't stay on the first floor.
The parking structure is excellent in an area that's hard to park. The location, even though it's a bit south from the action is good. The views from the room and deck are also great. The room is plenty spacious and well layed out. Would stay again. The staff is so, so. Erin was great and gave us an upgrade which we are grateful for. But other staff were not so helpful. The air conditioner is either on or off. If you set a temperature, it simply ignores it. I tried to get it fixed with no result. I was told that all air conditioners work that way. I needed some ice and finally found it on the third floor. The machine was out of order with a sign that says to use the one on the second floor. The layout is difficult to say the least. When I couldn't find it, I asked the front desk where it would be and was told that's in the garage and the entry is through the second floor. Enough said.
the location was the best part of this hotel stay and it had a full kitchen, as well as the location being close to where we had to be. At first when we got there @ about almost midnight there was a complaint about the noise and the worker was not really worried about his complaint so that worried me...then when we checked in she gave us the wrong room on the wrong floor making a long night even longer...the breakfast was not the best, if you are a cold person you should take more blankets
Near the ocean Stains all over ceiling. Bed and couch were very old and lumpy. Nowhere to lounge and be comfortable. When we checked in they laughed at me when I asked if any upgrades were available. Then they put us across from the valet stand, constantly giving us noise and chaos just outside the window. Between the bad bed and noise I never got to sleep past 9. Hot tub was yellow with urine. Kids were in it all day unattended.
You are LITERALLY on the water when the tide comes in. Awesome!
Beachfront room, great service Heat(not in hotel's control), but first room we were in had A/C inadequate to cool room. Changed rooms and did much better.
We were upgraded to a beach side room which was awesome. The room had a great view. The hotels location is great. Very comfortable bed. Room was over the bar, extremely loud until bar close, which fortunately was shortly after 10pm. No parking except for valet which was ~$30/night
Location, two pools, beach access, beach toys and chairs.,.Great staff Would be great to have some basic cruiser bikes to borrow for a ride downtown and some foamy surf boards to borrow at the beach ( in addition to boogie boards, which were awesome).
Mari and Javid at the front desk were great and informative. Mari even gave my Lab a treat, which was appreciated. Ocean view room was spectacular. We'll be back! Again and again. Air conditioner too loud
I would have loved the beach/waterfront location if it had not been for the overcrowded beach front and hotel. This place was extremely crowded and tourist-y, more so than any other popular beach. I did not like that our hotel check in was at 4pm. Parking was terrible and you had to pay. Right when we arrived we were stressed out about waiting for people to move in front of us, park and get into our hotel room. The room smelled like a wet dog. They gave us the wrong hotel room reservation. We over paid for a hotel room we did not get. The valet tried double charging us thinking we wouldn't notice. They also double charged us for the hotel room itself and I had to call and get it refunded. The Pacific Edge Hotel is a rip off and I believe you could have more fun and a better experience somewhere else.
The location was great, they accommodated our request to be up high so we were able to watch the sunset from our room, staff was excellent, valet is quick and treats your car with respect Room wasn't clean, found underwear behind dresser, light was missing from one of the ceilings lights, drinks left open in the fridge and hair was left on the vanity counter.
The front desk staff was so sweet and accommodating...I felt like I was friends with some of them by the end of my stay. The room was cozy and summery, with a cute little kitchen area and a counter with a large mirror right outside the bathroom. The beach was right down the stairs and across the valet road from our room...so close, you could hear the ocean from our room! The Deck, one of the restaurants connected to the hotel, was perfect for beach-side lunch. Proximity to town was ideal for roaming and shopping. We rented bikes around the corner and went all over the beachside part of town on back streets! I ended up booking another night's stay because I was loving the hotel and the town so much!
Your Front Desk staff was excellent and very pleasant. Stinky room, need to change ironing board (shakes while ironing). We called your maintenance guy I forgot what it was for. That day our other group of friends got a much better deal at one of the top hotels in your area.
Bottle for body wash was filthy and should have been replaced. However, staff compensated us by deducting 50% from our parking.
CJ at the front desk was helpful and Friendly Rest of the staff i encountered were also great
The location was perfect close to shops, restaurant with easy access. The hotel rooms were very comfortable & roomy. The staff was excellent, exceeded any expectations. My toilet had some trouble flushing but aside from that no problems. Please do not print that for public use.
Excellent customer service. Everything was great!
Hotel was beautiful, staff was courteous and friendly. $29/day for valet parking when no public parking was available. This added an additional 10% to the total cost of my stay. Ridiculous.
Very nice & comfortable rooms Wonderful staff. Very helpful & personable Nothing. All was good
The Hotel was truly five star, excellent staff and the rooms were great. Good location but you need a car to get anywhere in California. The Fashion Island shopping centre is next door and offers alternative dining options. This was our first visit to Newport Beach and the Hotel was a positive start to a great trip. As with most west coast hotels the parking costs do increase the cost of staying but overall this was a minor issue.
The decor was awesome A little pricy
Nice hotel which is close to PIMCO and Pacific Life Insurance
We come back regularly. The hotel is well appointed and the staff is very professional. Rooms are comfortable and view to ocean side over fashion island is super. Oak Grill Room on the deck for breakfast is a treat.
everything except the HOT, HOT, HOT weather. could not get hotel room cool enough in face of heat wave (25 degrees above expected temperature).
Great location - right across from Fashion Island shopping center. Easy access to restaurants, movies, shopping. Staff was very courteous and friendly. This was my second stay here. I would come back.
Very relaxing, wonderful food and brilliant staff. Did not use Spa. Pool was good. We had to move rooms as there was building work on that side of the hotel. Very surprised that they even put guests in such rooms as work started as early as 5am and we did not sleep after that time.
I think the valet parking fee was too high. There wasn't any options provided to self parking. You had no choice but to pay $32 parking fee.
Booked an ocean-front room. It was 1/2 level above the pool and walkway to rooms. No way you could leave the blinds open to enjoy the view without people staring in. Asked for another room and was told none available; this at 3:40 pm. There we still lots of people checking in later. I believe that because I did not book directly, I was not given priority on this and below. And, arrived at 2:00 pm and told we could not check in until 4:00 pm. We were not offered a hospitality room and found later that they had them. When we did check in, were informed that check out was by noon. So, though rented a room for a day...it was really 20 hrs. We were given a dining credit, but in no way made up for the room. And then.....there was the non-operating elevator. After staying at the hotel 20+ times in the past on business, I will not return.
Hotel is directly on the beach, and I mean, at high tide, 15 feet from the surf. All rooms face the ocean. Romantic dining restaurant with views of the ocean. There are floodlights illuminating the surf so you can see the ocean while you dine. Below the restaurant is a very cool bar, also, directly on the beach. Excellent location as they say. The pool sundeck is nice and the valet service was good. pool was heated and there is a jacuzzi. The property is older and they can charge the money because of their location. You wouldn't pay this amount if the property wasn't on the beach. Byzantine design and labyrinth of hallways makes for a confusing layout and difficult to get anywhere on the property. The pool is not a resort pool and is only the size and shape of something you would encounter at any discount chain motel. There is no separation of brats from the spa and pool so peace and quiet in those areas with your honey will be difficult.
The views No air conditioning
Location, rooms. Customer service could be better, we requested an early check in which they said was not a problem, we got there around 11am their regular check in is at 4:00pm, they told us our room wasn't ready yet but it would be ready soon. 4 hours later and still wasn't, they finally call us around 3:15pm to tell us that our room was ready, so we went to check in and when we said our name they told us it was a mistake that our room wasn't ready yet! So finally we check in at 3:50 pm, I guess still an early check in right? To top it off, when we received our bill, they charged us for a wrong service for almost $100 more! I don't know if we will be back.
the location is top - very central, next to the Laguna beach and the strip a not-so friendly receptionist put me up in a room facing the street, despite I asked for a quiet room. She cited that there aren't any rooms available, however, I headed out to explore the town and upon my return and later inquiry with reception (much nicer personnel now), there was a room available but at an extra charge which wasn't worthwhile.
location, on the beach, great bar, good breakfast the rooms need srucing up.They look tired and worn out.
Amazing location, our room had a really nice view, the room was clean, small and simply furnished but charming. The hotel is older but I still liked the historical vibe and it felt cozy and quaint. Restaurant had a fantastic view and good food, would happily stay there again. Staff was really nice, price was reasonable, especially for New Years. Could use a fridge in the room.
I left a pair of heels purposely in the trash basket because they were badly marked and 'banged up' after attending an outdoor wedding in a lemon grove in Oxnard. (I figured that by placing them in the trash it would signify that I was tossing them.) I was pleasantly surprise to receive a phone call from the front desk asking me if I had accidently left them and wanted them mailed to me at home in CT. Amazing
The location is directly on the coast and smack dab on Main Beach which is fantastic. The hotel itself and rooms are ancient and have not been updated AT ALL. The hotel was rebuilt in 1930 (originally 1888). There was no air conditioning, the windows still looked original (single pane) and blocked minimal sound. We heard car alarms incessantly and the people below. The room and bathroom were tiny and old and didn't look clean...mold throughout the bathroom tile grout. The window treatment looked like something out of a horror flick...the rod was completely askew with dirty 70's style curtains. We left the hotel without staying a single night.
Location was everything, literally right on the sand. Best part about the hotel was the restaurant. Man, where to start! First I must say, me and my girlfriend are not picky travelers. We are completely fine staying in a motel 6 if it is clean and up to par. Hotel Laguna is far from par. Every time we'd go take a shower, the faucet would randomly shoot out scalding hot water and burned my girlfriend twice. Our window was broken, so I had to hang out the window to tighten a loose screw so it would work. We had a garden/ocean view when we booked our hotel, but we looked at nothing but the parking lot all weekend. The staff member that checked us in looked completely disinterested, and couldn't even give us proper change for our receipt. Overall, don't waste your money here, like I said the best part is the restaurant, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!
The staff were very helpful; the food was delicious; and the ocean front views and beach access wonderful. Hotel was originally built in 1929 so the rooms are bit small.
Location is great! One of the few "private beach" strips in SoCal with bar service on the beach. Great view and beach is swimmer friendly, especially a hundred yards to the north (kelp bed right off the hotel beach...better swimming a hundred yards north). Hotel is historic, and so are the rooms. Bathrooms are still "period" and vintage but functional. NEVER, EVER book a "village view" room. What that means is that your room is on the street side of the hotel, mere feet from a very busy street. We could hear the hoots and hollers from the bar right across the street loud and clear. And, street sweepers and trash trucks do their thing at night. AND, the hotel is NOT air conditioned so the window needs to be open if it's hot. MUCH better to pay the extra cash to be on any side other than the street/east side of the building with an ocean front or garden view.
Marriott hotels have always been an enjoyable experience. The room, location and overall stay was very nice. The in room dining as well as pool service staff was beyond slow. The drinks by the pool had a 30 minute ticket time and I had to call in room dining 6 times before my what was supposed to be surprise order of champagne arrived. I'm in the industry as well and understand things get busy. The in room dining gave us some strawberries as an apology for the delay which was nice but th pool staff did nothing to appease everyone's clear annoyance with the slowness of service. It wouldn't deter me from returning necessarily but it does make me question the hiring process at this location. Not only was the pool staff slow, the gentleman had the personality of a shoe.
It was close to malls and movies. Not the best views in Newport
Spa was amazing! Pay for parking and taking extra money for deposit
The friendliness of the staff
Fantastic location.Great value for money.Very clean.Great pool and jacuzzis.Will definitely be back!Even a Starbucks!And a great bar.Fire pits at night.Sunset was incredible to top off a great getaway.10/10.
The staff is VERY sweet and helpful. Great location. Valets were SO SWEET! Extremely clean. My ONLY problem was I reserved TWO DOUBLE BEDS. I brought my 15 year old daughter and her best friend For a one night getaway. I received an am txt that our room would be ready at 4pm.. So we went to fashion island for fun lunch at Lemonade And some shopping. When we went to check in.. At 4pm.. I was told That they had over sold and our room had one king bed. In my reservation I specified THREE PEOPLE! I feel like I got bumped cuz I reserved thru kayak... Paid less. They brought up a HUGE rollaway That took up half the room. We couldn't even make room for it.. So we all 3 slept in one bed. Not the end of the world.. But I would have appreciated better communication. Beautiful hotel and we had a lot of fun.
Rooms are very nice with 4 star amenities. mix of families, locals and travelers First night room was noisy due to being close to event space. They switched rooms for me next night with an upgrade and waved resort fee. Very professional and accommodating staff.
Our room had such a great view of the bay. It was very relaxing and quiet. We kept the balcony doors open almost the whole time! The staff was very polite and accommodating whenever we asked for anything. The first room we were put in, the shutters were broken and would not close for privacy. As soon as I called down, they had someone come up and move us 5 doors down within minutes. The staff was very polite and helpful.
Great room on marina. It took over an hour to check in. Hotel did not have my Kayak reservation right and I had to spend a lot of time on the phone getting it straight. Also, make sure you get a room with a water view.
Heat didn't work. Charged $28 for parking without alerting us in advance. Room was completely standard of any hotel. Room service forgot our dressing, and the food was subpar
The staff was very friendly and accommodating at the front desk, restaurants, housekeeping, and pool. Room was big and it was nice getting bottled water every day. Food at the restaurant (lunch) was surprisingly good and sitting outside by the bay was enjoyable. Overall, the facility was "tired" and is in need of renovations. Especially, the pool area lounges and chairs were old and stained. We prefer fitted sheets (which these were not) and carpets throughout the hotel (room, elevator, halls) need attention. We were told by one of the maintenance personnel who was in our room to fix a sliding shutter door, that the hotel was be remodeled within the next 3 months which is encouraging. Location was somewhat of a catch-22. It was nice being on the harbor but you really couldn't walk anywhere to shop or eat. Must have car if you want to go anywhere off site. Overall, we had a good time.
Older hotel that's maintained to near Disneyland standards. Great value, very comfortable beds, granite in bathroom, excellent service, SPARKLING clean pool, $1/load laundry, nice fitness area, free breakfast, GREAT location. Stay here!
Close to shopping centers and food joints. Asked for a king and they gave us two queens. Dirty sheets. Not enough towels
Location was convenient to attend a wedding surroundings were clean and all stores close to the hotel for last minute shopping The entrance doors need to be updated as critters were able to crawl in which can be scary to some occupants we only noticed it in the morning of our departure but overall it was a reasonable price for our stay.
The staff was very nice. I missed "check in" by a few hours because I was exploring. But the staff insured me I had no worries and could check in at anytime! Room was clean, beds were so soft! The hotel itself was amazingly beautiful a cottage feel. I have never been to a hotel that had to give you vouchers for the breakfast kinda weird but not a deal breaker.
Close to where we had a out of town job Friendly staff Clean Only a Continental breakfast Room decor is a buy dated
Beds where nice
Super nice staff, soap and lotion were really nice More light, fire station nearby
Good looking place, great location, good food options in the area, super friendly staff Beds could've been more comfortable, especially the pillows. You can tell they cheaped out on a lot of things like breakfast but I would definitely stay there again
the grounds were beautiful and the staff was pleasant. I would stay there again. tried to stay an additional night, unable to keep the same room and would not be able to pay the same orbitz rate, this I understood BUT i was told I had to check out at 11 and could not check into my new room until 3 I HAD JUST STAYED 3 NIGHTS! but couldn't transfer?
This lodge is like an oasis in a desert. The room was very quiet, the courtyard was lovely, and I slept wonderful. The internet was good, and there was a small fridge, microwave and safe in the room. They also provide a small, simple breakfast. I recommend this lodge.
the location and value type of room
The large bathroom with a separate shower and bath was amazing. The bedrooms had doors separating it from the spacious living room. The bed was extremely comfortable. There were 2 TVs with a fairly good selection of channels. The hotel is located away from places to eat so ordering room service sounds great but it's extremely overpriced. Price of parking was ridiculous. Sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable and the extra blankets were scratchy.
They charge $25 for parking and there are no other parking options.
Parking should be more clear that it is charged.. I would have rather just ubered there
Newly remodeled and well kept up. Quiet, and a great view. Service at the cafe was awesome. The price I paid was a very good value.
$28 for parking a night? Like just hide it in the fee or something because it's just ridiculous. I'd guess that 95% of guests arrive with at least one car.
Loved that the bedroom was separate from the family room, complimentary mini fridge, bath tub & stand up shower was a big plus, easy access to freeway, food & beach! Other than noise from remodeling, I love love love this location!
Not much See above
Pool area not cleaned up well....needs facelift badly! Bar Mitzvah at hotel was noisy at night. Expensive self-parking ($27 per day) and "resort fee" ($25 per day) adds significant cost to room.
Great gym and pools. Very nice outdoor setting. Parking costs additional $35/ day. Rooms are clean but feel old and cheap. They add 20% tip to the bill for any service provided...food.
The staff are very helpful and cheerful. Bar area is limited and subject to a lot of noise from families passing through or as part of a large concert crowd that can dominate the whole area at weekends. The resort is more than walking distance to most other shopping or restaurant areas or the beach. No quiet area for a drink and conversation.
Gorgeous landscape and places to relax. Kids at adult only pool!
Great location The rooms I experienced were tired and worn With your doorway opening underneath a stairway along with the construction taking place it is unacceptable as a resort As I waited to be moved to a different room , other guests stood in the hallway waiting to have their own room issues rectified Bellman was helpful but my request to speak to a manager was not responded to Upon check out the clerk asked me twice if I had had the breakfast ( as I was lying the first time) but not if I had enjoyed my stay and with the older noisy air conditioner it was hardly an enjoyable room At that time I asked to speak to the Manager after a few minute wait I was told he's busy right now I stayed at another nearby property for the rest of the week and will not be back and I will be sure to relay my experience
The water slide for kids was pretty cool and the food was good, although pricy. Self parking is really far from the rooms. Plus you have to walk up a steep hill to get from the parking to your room. They don't have ramps to some of the areas. Had to carry out stroller down to the pool with the slide. The walls in rooms are really thin. Our room was next to the maid service room so pretty much the whole nights we would hear door slamming, people talking and carts being moved around. On our last night we could hear a couple arguing in the next room for like an hour. We could literally hear every word. We had two small children with us so all the noise would wake them up. Pictures on the web look nice but in real life the hotel is not even close to it. The lobby is the only nice area in the hotel.
The room was very nice and modern. Valet parking efficient. The resort fee was an unnecessary and unreasonable charge. The Friday night brunch is $50 apiece and worth under $20. They served dried our turkey breast at the carving station that had to be covered in gravey. The beef chunks were very tough. Don't eat there. Bring snacks and drinks. A bottle of beer is $4.50 the resort store. Poolside service is only during summer. This is Southern California. Summer is year around.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The grounds were very nice with lots of places to sit and enjoy them. They have concerts on Friday night and they are quite loud, we were not notified they would be going on. I think that guest should be advised when they make their resevations.
Maybe decor needs updating
Close to Newport restaurants Found used silverware outside door at 4pm checkin. At 11:30pm silverware still there. Found used eyelashes on sink at checkin. No bathtub. Disappointed stay for the $220 nite rate
Very quiet and relaxing. The grounds are well kept, the room was very spacious. There are a lot of activities and the location of the hotel is great, you can drive to the beach in 5 minutes, fashion island is next door and Sherman's gardens are just down the road. Parking is expensive ($25/day) and the lot is a bit of a hike from the hotel depending on which room you have.
Walking distance to beach, shopping, and all of Laguna's great dining. Also right near grocery store.
Location Rooms were in the small side
The staff was very friendly. I felt like family! No microwave in the room
We only stayed one night but felt so comfortable the moment we walked in. You can park right in the hotel for only $15 a day and it is just a few steps into the hotel from the parking garage! There are only 36 rooms so it feels more comfortable then a large hotel. The rooms are so cute and fit the beach vibe. The staff are very nice and helpful. They had a bunch of great amenities like, milk and cookies at the end of the night, wine hour, a fire pit down by the pool to hang out by, and coffee/yogurt & granola in the morning. We will be coming back for a longer stay!
Great staff, comfortable rooms. A little noisy off of 101 but not too bad.
The staff is very friendly and accommodating The housekeeping in the room was not very good. The robe was not hung up. The bathtub and basin did not drain very well. The room was a bit noisy from people sitting out by the pool. The air conditioning was very loud and not very effective. The room had a stale air from lack of circulation.
The Laguna Beach House was recently renovated by new owners, so everything was very clean, white and bright, with excellent beach décor, comfortable beds and a hip vibe. The people at the front desk were so kind and helpful, making restaurant suggestions and offering to make reservations. They even offer an umbrella, towels and chairs to take down to the beach a short 5 minute walk away. We will be back! Nothing. Stay was fantastic.
Wonderful location near Heisler Park and walk to town, beach, restaurants. Staff was exceptionally friendly, helpful and happy. Loved being greeted so positively! Rooms were clean and luxurious - loved balcony for morning coffee. Truly wished we stayed longer.
The renovations really turned LB House into something special. Staff are great people. Location is amazing. Rooms are great. I grew up in Laguna Beach and often the hotels seem to assume that Laguna will "sell itself" and they don't have to put the effort in, but this hotel isn't like that. Nothing I don't like about LB House. Place is sweet.
Awesome location, great value. The whole "surf hotel" vibe is well done. You can walk right into town along the beachfront promenade. As a added bonus, the hotel coffee is actually pretty good.
Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The room was big and gorgeous, the pool and amenities were lovely, and the staff was very warm. The homemade milk and cookies at night and yogurt and granola in the morning sealed the deal. We missed the wine hour but I'm sure it was lovely. For a birthday getaway, this place was wonderful. We would definitely come back again! Thank you!
Very friendly and efficient staff! No microwave in the room but the staff was able to heat something for me. I love their bed and pillows. I haven't slept that well in months! Thank you! The price of the room did not include parking. No breakfast options available besides coffee. Plus I incurred several road tolls traveling to and from the location because there was only one way to get there.
Helpful and friendly staff upgraded my teenage son and I to 2 queen beds (only 1 King was available online when I booked). The rooms were lovely and clean, very comfy beds. Located walking distance to beach. Great pool, hot tub, fire pit for evening/afternoon use. Had a great time. Had a downstairs room and the ceiling/floor above was very squeaky so when occupants above moved around you could hear every step...difficult to sleep through.
The room was clean and had a great view of the ocean The tub needs to be replaced. It was old and looked like it seen better days.
Nothing I started my period during the night and got a little blood on the sheets and they charged my credit card $150 without even telling me for "damage" to the room. It was extremely offensive and I will never stay here again. I am NOT happy.
Proximity to beach. Stayed facing the street side and it was loud.
We live in fullerton and stayed here in Newport and loved it. The beach was great. It was detached enough to not be too close to the very loud Newport area further south. Overall great trip.
Pros: Amazing Location, Friendly Staff, Property Facility, Pool, Beach Access, Comfy bed and good Decor. Will come back for a stay at this place again in future. Cons: The shower DOESN'T spit out uniform hot and cold water, The pillows were very old and clumsy - can do with some new pillows.
Cleanliness Pool area Breakfast wifi Garden area was very relaxing Free car parking Free towels and beach shade Free shuttle bus in Laguna beach everywhere No safe Some staff attitude was inappropriate about returning towels, even though they were returned at the pool area, rather than reception. Very pedantic
Location! It's getting old like me.
I love being so close to the beach. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating. The rooms are a bit dated, but are clean and comfortable. The atmosphere is relaxing, and the continental breakfast is very nice.
Very nice with great staff and ideal location No microwave
It was available near where I wanted to stay Dark and musty. The place seems tired.
It had great highway access and the rooms and staff were great. Even the maintenance gentlemen were kind.
It was clean and big enough for 3 people. Beds we comfortable. Bar was a little pricy but the drinks and service were great. No blow dryer in the room
The room was very, very clean. The room was smaller than I expected. I had a king size bed in a twin size bed room space.
None will not got this hotel. Very bad customer service, booked 2 double bed room but got one king size bed room. Very pricey for the service.

Hotel staff was very accommodating to our needs when one member of our party ended up ill. We found a used bandaid and lip gloss on the floor.

Excellent value for the location and hotel quality.
