I arrived and was surprised how old the building was but I stayed positive. I checked in and went up to my room. The hallway that led to my room was outdoors and had no lights whatsoever. I entered the room to find the most outdated, dirty hotel room I've ever been in. The nasty green carpet had stains and holes all in it. The walls had brown streaks running down them as if someone threw a cup of soda at them. But the worst was that I found half, yes half, of a cockroach laying next to the bed. I immediately checked out but was then told I couldn't get a refund because I booked online and it was nonrefundable. Needless to say I was upset. I had spent $182 for two nights at a hotel that should only cost about $20 a night. I then checked into the Hampton Inn UCF and it was great. So ya, all I can say is definitely don't stay at Ramada Downtown Orlando.
I liked how close it was to where I needed to be.
Service was terrible. The lobby tricked me because it was very nice but once I got inside the elevator that's when everything changed! The floors were sticky the elevator was dimmed, the halls smelled like mold, the carpet was wet. Inside the room was dirty, the beds were broken, sheets were dirty, bathroom was a big scary to go into, microwave was dirty, lamps only had one bulb in each one. The room was not clean at all
Is an old hotel but have hot water, good air condition.
NOTHING WAS GOOD, SINCE YOU WALK IN UNTIL YOU GET TO ROOM THAT SMEEL OF GHETTO HOOD
SHOWER CURTAINS WERE FULL OF MOLDS CARPET DIRTY BLANCK NEIGHNOROOD GHETTO PLACE
hotel is bad shape roach is in the room i can not go to that hotel again and i will till peaple not to even think of ramada hotel .
The place was gross. Bugs and sticky carpet. The halls smelled like marijuana and we found dead bugs and a pot roach on te floor
We were first greeted by Shelly, she was extremely nice and very accommodating. Our room was comfortable and clean. We read the reviews (which were not great) prior to booking, not expecting much we booked anyways due to location and cost but we were pleasantly pleased to see the opposite. The pool was very nice and clean and the location is the best part. We were able to eat at some great places downtown which ended up only being a short 5 minute drive and Universal's was also only a five minute drive. Best Deal on Kayak!
Our mini refrigerator was not working but Jonathan from maintenance fixed it within 15 minutes by exchanging it for a brand new one. He went far and beyond what was expected.
Bed AC Place for my stuff Balcony Cheap!
There was a hair on the bathroom sink, there were those little annoying ants, the room was a little damaged (the top lock on the door, and the safe was not operational, not that I planned on using it)
Staying there. An hour and a half to check in. Gave us wrong key. 30 minutes to get right key. Room was filthy. The ice machine area smelled like someone pissed in the corner. I wouldn't stay there if they paid me. IF YOU HAVE THE CHOICE TO STAY HERE OR SLEEP IN YOUR CAR... CHOOSE THE CAR OR STREET..
The hotel has a mildew smell on the first two floors. And the family suites all need some repairs and upgrades.
Do not stay there!!!!
The pool area. The breakfast buffet had real eggs and grits. Nicely scented soap. Friendly desk staff despite the management issues.
No towels, towels were like sandpaper, dirty floor, broken sink, sticky tables/walls, marijuana smell, smoke smell, inability to eat breakfast without waiting in line at the front desk for an hour, took 40 mins to check in, over charged, double charged after fixed over charge, hotel couldn't find reservation, hotel doesn't answer phone. I could list more.
I like the location.
If I didn't come in the right time by luck, I would've been waiting almost 2 hrs for check in. The hotel smells like smoke, the carpet was stained, their was roaches all over the place, I did a little experiment of leaving a small raisen on the dresser to see how many roaches I can catch , It was at least 7 big and small roaches that scattered after I cut the lights on. I would not stay here again !!
The staff tried their best to help
They were VERY disorganized. They made us wait till 3pm to check in but then the process took two hours! They didn't have rooms that were cleaned and no clean towels for the guests. I have no idea what house keeping did all day. Sometimes the staff was rude but I think it was due to the stress of being severely understaffed. Everyone that was checking in at the same time was very frustrated. Some said their rooms were disgusting and refused to stay. Others were given the wrong size and number of beds. I felt bad for the people working the front desk because of all of the nonsense they had to deal with that was seemingly due to actions of other employees at the hotel. My room was clean enough. The stay was okay, but the issues in the beginning left a bad aftertaste through out.
great breakfeast, nice pool area
The staff Aré nice
The facilities had a nice appearance and architecture and were very conveniently and centrally located right off of the highway. The pool looked nice (although I did not swim in it) and there was a small exercise room with a few treadmills upstairs.
Check-in service was rather slow and I was in a line. The room was a bit worn and my room number was even missing. I was somewhat disappointed with the $5 amenities fee per night, and don't understand why they can't charge that fee up front as part of the hotel so you know how much it actually costs. Other than that, the hotel was fine and I would stay there again.
I like the price and the location
No soap in room door latch was broken stained carpet loud ac ice machines far from rooms for the same price i drive has better rooms
The swimming pool area was dirty all my stay. The entire hotel was dirty. No good maintenance at all. The walls needs paint, well was really bad.
No smoking allowed
Dated rooms, not much hot water in the morning, no ESPN
