The location is great, near everything you need to visit at Évora. The breakfast is very diverse and you have outside tables if you like. The view is beautiful where you can fell the Alentejo weather.

During the breakfast, some hosts were walking without masks and the hotel staff was ok with it. I made a complaint and then they started to guide people about the rules. I did not felt very safe about that behavior, but mistakes during COVID should be taken seriously though.

Our Hostess Marisa could not have done enough for me ! I was there to celebrate my partners 60th birthday ! It was difficult to organise (corona) and She helped me in so many ways that I would have been lost without her ! The establishment should be very appreciative of her as I was !! The hotel itself although in a very old and historic setting is beautiful but less than a 4⭐⭐⭐⭐ !! The breakfast was excellent and you could see her efforts again ! The room, although very nice and historic was positively dangerous! The bathroom had 3 steep steps which were lethal for the inferm !! 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ would have had better facilities, for example slippers, robes, iron There was a carpet in the room that I tripped over many times as did my partner ! The ends were sticking up !! There was an easy chair that had pretruding legs to take your toes off !- When Marisa was not there the place was unattended ! I understand the virus but surely 1person deserves the same treatment as If the hotel was full !! Otherwise stay shut ! Marisa was excellent as was the room maintenance staff !!
