Hotel Piolets Soldeu Centre

Excellent location for skiing. 150 yards from Soldeu gondola and lift. 100 year Ds from public bus to go to the capital Andorra de Vella. Excellent buffet for breakfast and dinner which is included. Friendly English-speaking staff.

Any drinks including tap water during the dinner are for fee. There is no landry neither in the hotel nor laundromat in the town. They can dry clean or wash your stuff for 3 euro per item with mandatory ironing (sacks?). Spa is mediocre for 4 euro per visit or package 20 euro for 5 visits, but without changing pool towels ( yes, you have to take it to the room and dry it there or exchange it for 1 euro in spa. What the point of discount?) Outdoor deck and chairs and tables there never cleaned from snow. So, even at a sunny day you can’t enjoy a cup of coffee or drink outside. Hotel entrance porch and adjacent walkway are poorly plowed as well. We had to catch a tour bus at 7:30 in the morning after night snowfall and the stairs on the porch were cowered with a foot deep pale of fresh snow. It seemed that nobody even planned to plow it then. In 4 star hotel! It’s really not safe when you’re walking in skiing boots with skis in your hands on poorly plowed walkway. We noticed similar problems in entire Andorra. Is it their tradition not cleaning snow well on the roads and walkways?

Fabulous location, outstanding views as our room overlooked the ski slopes. Everything very convenient, supermarket, ski/boot hire, bars, etc. Thoroughly enjoyed our 5 days here and will definately return.
