Best breakfast! They offer good tours and activities, live music evenings etc. It's lively so easy to meet people.
Rooms and bathrooms in dorm rooms could use some upgrade. Lockers were a bit of a struggle, bathroom could use a shelf to place your things etc. Wifi and keycards don't work well.

This hostel exceeded my expectations! The hostel is very well organized and the rooms are superb!! I was staying in a girls' dorm and we had our own bathroom and the room itself was spacious for enough for 6 persons. The staff is well-trained and organized you could really see that Che Lagarto knows what they are doing in terms of hospitality! I really loved the dinner nights with local live music which creates a fantastic atmosphere! In addition to this, the prices are good with dinner nights and the food is amazing! Further, Che Lagarto had by far the best breakfast buffet I have had during my stay in Brazil, definitely recommend you to book it with your booking! I would love to return here once with good weather conditions, I bet the experience would even be better!
The only point of improvement I have would be the Wifi. I was staying there with two days of rain and a lot of people started to use the wifi at the same time and the signal was not that good anymore..

Great place; nice rooms, clean bathrooms, a lot of breakfast possibilities, helpful staff, a beautiful boottrip and lots of people to connect with.

The breakfast for 18R was fantastic with eggs, sausages, fruit, cakes etc. Nice atmosphere in the hostel terrace, the staff will help you with anything, tips for trips to beaches. You can even shower after checkout when your bus is in the evening.
The lockers are under the beds and the beds are very close to each other so it's a bit hassle to get your big luggage in and out.
