V friendly staff and rooms comfortable and v clean. the restaurant seemed overpriced and did not cater much for kids to eat, only alternative was a cafeteria and smoking was permitted which made it unpleasant. Bathrooms are looking a bit dated and not in the greatest of shape.
It was very easy to get to from the motorway and had (essential) car parking - though at a cost. It was some distance to The Alhambra but this was balanced by the quality of the hotel and the situation. It also had a very good cafeteria for drinks, breakfast and snacks.
Staff were very nice and helpful. Hotel has a nice feel, very clean and quite. Good location as well Parking was 14Euros per night but didn't tell me until i paid the bill. I would have asked for a deal as i was staying for 5 nights.
It was colocated with Hetz car rentals so we could return our hir car to the hotel rather than spend hours trying to find the drop off poiint - although i9t did take us 2 and a half hours to get to our hotel from when we arrived in Granada following the instructions on the booking.com website which were incorrect!!! Location was not central as advertised by the Hotel
The location is near to the centre There is no fitness, swimming pool
Courteous reception staff, clean room and comfortable bed. There is not anything I dislike about the hotel
Friendly staff, good facilities and very efficient. Excellent restaurant - try the ensalada tropicana. The underground garage is a nightmare - difficult to find, nowhere to stop, narrow chicane into the depths of the earth.
Friendly and helpfull personal, Nice and quite rooms,
Good location within walking distance of most major attractions. The air conditioning in the rooms only works from May - sometime in the fall. So even though it was 30 degrees C outside in April, the rooms couldn't be cooled off without opening the windows. However the street noise makes it difficult to sleep with the windows open. Hotel mgmt said there was nothing they could do about this. We were told "it's winter....". I just find it strange that the lobby was air conditioned & cool, but the rooms couldn't be. Also if you're bringing a car please note the parking garage is a very tight fit.
Within walking distance of railway station. Free wifi in lobby. Not expensive. Long walk from the attractions of Granada
This is a very comfortable city-centre hotel, well designed, with friendly, helpful staff, and a nice spa.
Located within a few blocks of the center of the city, this beautiful hotel is a prize. Friendly multi-lingual staff; comfortable, clean, modern rooms; roof top bar -- what is there not to like? Really enjoyed ourselves.
The reception staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, providing plenty of suggestions for eating and exploring. The hotel room was spacious and clean. The location is by far the best aspect of this hotel as it is only a block from the Cathedral (where you can catch a bus to the Alhambra) and the Albaycin and about 3 blocks from Puerta Nueva. The more backpacker style tapas bars are right next door on Calle Elivira, although people may need to go a bit further afield if they are looking for a more refined experience.
The free wifi, the remaining of the 16 centuries underground in the entrance of the hotel, near to Alhamra 10 min by taxi, the old & new shopping stores No dry clean service, the bathroom aparts no privacy, and there is smell in the bathroom
Beautiful hotel and fantastic location, very friendly and helpful staff. We had a corner room on the second floor which was very nice, but had a strange open layout with the toilet being virtually inside the bedroom - bit of an awkward room design.
Fantastic, impeccable and beyond reproach. This was, in summary the perfect escapade for Granada I feel; and my wife echoes my comments too. Staff were most helpful and jolly; and it had a most magnificent night view of the Catedral and Alhambra. Also, within walking distance to most shopping areas and bazaars. NONE!
Salvatore, at front desk, went far above and beyond with his hospitality and helpful information. Great attitude
Location Noise from traffic
Front staff was very helpful. The room is of Modern Design, but in some way not convenient.
The staff were superb, especially the lovely Salvador! The location can't be beaten, the standard of fixtures and fittings is very high and there is some flair to the design. The rooms are not suitable as twin rooms - a twin room merely comprises a king sized bed made up as two singles, not separated at all and there is no door to separate the bathroom, merely doors on the toilet and shower cubicles. So the rooms are only recommended for singles or very close couples!
The hotel staff were outstanding. They were quick to help and set a high quality of service. In the spa, there were a few minor things that needed work. One of the features didn't function and there was some part that looked in need of a bit of repair. ...and lastly the lighting... it seemed like there was a light that was. These are minor points though, I really enjoyed the spa.
Central Location, friendly staff
excellent service, helpful front desk, great location, knowledgeble about restaurants, etc
Extremely friendly staff, well positioned hotel, excellent bathroom with huge bath, free minibar, we had free coffee every morning ordered through room service. Only 1 english speaking tv channel - CNN.
The best thing about staying at the hotel was free internet acces, the courtyard, easy acces to the centre of the city. Free mini bar was good There was no music channel availabe through the tv. No cd player or radio to listen too. The safey deposit box should be in the room with a coded box. The sauna facilites were good but a swimming pool would have bene better. No tea and coffe facilites availabe in the room.
style of hotel and convenient position
The reason I selected Santa Paula was because the Hotel is in a 14 th century house , convent., medieval courtyard and the location.Unfortunately I did not receive the rooms I requested (courtyard view). I was not told the "type" of rooms I reserved were not located on the courtyard. Very frustrating. We revived every day in the Turkish Bath and sauna. The staff were helpful . Your descriptions and prices are extremely misleading. The reason I selected The ac Santa Paula was because the Hotel is in a historic building with a medieval courtyard + location.I Specifically requested a court yard room .I specifically requested 2 rooms on the court yard. We received 2 tiny new rooms in a new wing I did not know existed. The staff informed me the rooms I reserved were not on the court yard! Why did not some one inform me upon my reservation. The next morning the gracious staff moved our belongings to rooms facing the courtyard. They did not inform us that the court yard (not on the court yard level but facing the court yard) rooms were not the same rate I had been quoted substantially $$. Very frustrating experience.
We were upgraded to the older section of the hotel which was very quiet. The room was very spacious and nicely appointed. Last few nights in Spain, thought we would splurge. Hotel recommended some excellent restaurants.
perfect location, nice room expensive, especially meal services
very well situated
Fabulous hotel layout with good food selection for breakfast. Location is great for access to Alhumbra. Hotel is a converted monastery so had lots of space and many interesting alcoves to explore. Very clean and well serviced except for drinks waiter who 'forgot' to serve us more than one drink. Very poor drinks service in the lounge
the room was big, comfortable, good air condition, silent, good location of the hotel, helpful staff.
Friendly and helpful reception. Breakfast rates much too high, so that we had breakfast outside.
Very poor understanding of other than spanish garage too small for our medium car
Good service and a great value!
good location for city with most things within walking distance. Alhambra bus just a few min walk away. room good but air con did not work well and had to leave windows open at night which then caused a problem with noise.
Beautifully located in a lovely square, very nice spacious foyer. None that I could see.
Good location, nice room, in bright colors, very kind and helpful staff. The carpet was not clean (no vacuum), the room a bit dusty, but the bathroom and beds were proper.
Reception desk was very pleasant and helpful throughout the stay. Location was convenient to center of town and walking around the village areas. 10 min. cab to Alhambra and to watch Flamengo in the "cave". Lovely restaurant attached to the hotel.
Excellent location Parking is 5 minutes from the hotel
very comfortable, convenient location, friendly nothing
Amazing location on a beautiful square. Brand new, beautifully designed hotel. Lovely rooms with small balconies overlooking square. Helpful staff. And for the price, it's brilliant. Noise from the square - lots of birds! Would have been nice if breakfast was included, or had at least been offered.
Good central location, helpful staff on reception. Excellent breakfast. Everywhere spotlessly clean. Will recomend your hotel to any of my friends visiting Granada Our stay was fine, there was no problems or things we didn´t like
Location is good. Value for money. We requested non-smoking room, but the room we had was most likely smoking room. You can tell from the smell.. but we could wide open the window and after a while it was alright.
Good central location to shops and eating. Friendly staff that spoke english. The hotel room was very dated (we felt as if we were back in 1985). No breakfast.
Parking was available, parking attendant very friendly and patient. Granada is beautiful. The signage on the hotel, and to the hotel is confusing and wrong. Signs to the hotel point in the wrong direction, the Hotel has two different hotel names on the building, even though there is only one hotel. The reception staff were rude and had no understanding of customer service - it was my problem that the direction signs were wrong and I should have known that it was the Hotel Gran Via even though the sign above the reception entrance door has another hotel name. I had e-mailed the hotel twice asking for clear directions to the car park - all I got back was confirmation that we had requested a space. Granada is still beautiful
The location is ecxcellent. The stuff was very kind. the room is comfort. The parking is un site. Who needs more....? The location
It was vary centrally located. The staff were very courteous and efficient. The beds were comfortable and the linen clean.I also liked we could park the car in the hotel. The breakfast was good value.. The first room we were given smelled strongly of cigarettes!
The bed was tiny but very comfortable. The bedroom is very poorly lit - so that you can barely read in bed.
The location was great for getting to the Alhambra and the Cathedral. One member of the reception staff was placing his own work ahead of attending to incoming patrons. He was reluctant to be of assistance twice in our short stay--fortunately there were others to fill in and pick up the slack. No English channel for news.
great location, walking distance to anything, quiet rooms expensive parking
The hotel is very good value for money. I like the fact that tehy are interested in environmental issues (towels) everything was good
The hotel was very close to the city center. The Suite was modern and large. The Staff was friendly. We had a very nice stay in the Gran Via 44 and Granada is a great city to visit! There was no supermarket close by, which wasn't convenient as we didn't book breakfast. Parking is really difficult. The hotel has 3 places for parking, which are cheaper than the garages in the area. Next time I would let the receptionist know up front that I want to book the hotel parking places.
Beautiful very big room. Friendly staff. Fantastic value for money - only 80 euros for a family of four!!! Superb location. No problems at all. Didn't bother with the breakfast. 9 euros for a coffee and croissant. You can get the same for about 2 euros in the coffee bar next to the hotel.
Location. Space and excellent facilities. Kitchen is nice. Breakfast while expensive is great
The room at Suites Gran Via was incredibly roomy and comfortable. It was nice to have the separate living area after a few days on the road. Belen was at the reception desk when we arrived and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
Great central location and comfortable 2 bedroom suite in a beautifully restored building No phone in the room
Staff was great & very helpful. Included breakfast delivered to room was excellent and timely.
Staff, evironment, services, location
Modern furniture, bath with window, kitchen (very useful if you travel with children as we did), everything very clean, near to the city centre and to all the sight seeings.
The front desk was very attentive and helpful. The location which is a short walk from the centre of Granada and the Alhambra is excellent I think a two bedroom suite should have two bathrooms
New remodeled room with nice toiletries. Location was very convenient. Quiet. Breakfast was delivered so you couldn't refill coffee. But this was minor and overall, we really enjoyed our stay there.
Its not often I can say everything about a hotel was excellent but with the Suite Gran Via 44 it is. With a family of 4, 2 adults, 2 children, there is not enough hot water.
This is the best hotel or appartment hotel we ever had and we travel quite a lot. It is located in the center of the city, yet very quiet. It is beautifully designed around an inner court in Andalucian style, and the appartment itself is spacious. It is nice and cool, while the sun is burning in Granada. The interior of the rooms is well designed with an impressive bathroom. Very pleasant staff. Quality-price rate is outstanding. No negative comment at all. A 100% rate, or 10 out of 10.
Good clean well priced accomodation. Did not like the undersized bath.
The hotel was very clean and centrally located with in walking distance to most historic sites. The central air conditioner system had become contaminated with cigarette smoke. We had to switch it off in the night as we could not breath in the room while the AC was on. Also, their internet doesn't work on the 3rd floor we stayed on. Other then that the hotel and staff were amazing!!
Very clean, modern and centrally located hotel. Rooms a bit small but perfectly adequate, and very clean and tidy. Friendly staff and very reasonable price.
Good place with cheap price. Recommend! Easy to find when you walk. Difficult to find with car.
friendly, helpful staff who were eager to please. room cleaned to high standard.
Recently renovated and presented "as new". Good location but surrounding area noisy at night - music & loud louts. This Hotel is very difficult to find , although it is only 100 metres off the main Street (Av. Colon) it is down a one way lane. The taxi driver had difficulties finding it - there is another Hotel called Granada Central !!
Great stay. Very affordable and excellent value for money. It was the cheapest accommodation we found during our one week Andalusian tour and undoubtedly the best one. Room was rather small but cozy, quiet, very clean, with nice bathroom, nice furniture. Wifi for free. Heating worked perfectly which was the common problem in other hotels - November nights were cold. Close to Old town, cathedral (5 min. walk), Albacin, Alhambra (max.0,5 hour by foot or take a near bus) many restaurants and shops. We walked everywhere. I highly recommend this place for everone who needs budget accommodation with good comfort of much more pricy hotels and wants to be in the midle of things. It may be hard to find for the first time. Staff speaks English on minimal level. Everything else was great.
just close to both Alhambra and city center. walk 30 min in the morning to the Palace. cross the street is the old Arabisch street. Restaurant everywhere, almost all the bus come here.
location and the comfort of the hotel hotel does not have meal options. Breakfast would add value if it exist. Hotel gets the payments in advance.
"Atmosphere", cleanliness, hotel staff. TV screen in our room too small and too far away from the bed (which was the only place for watching TV).....
The location The lobby stank, of sewerage. The beds were small and uncomfortable. Advertising it as "Lorca's house" also seemed misleading.
Great location, lovely interior and reasonable price!
I would like to stay again.
good location/staff parked the car /easy to find/ n/a
Visited sites of historic interest no
very good location, nice helpful staff, room basic but clean and not as small as in some cheaper hotels, small fridge / mini bar in the room
The staff were courteous and welcoming. The hotel itself was excellently situated in the centre of Granada and the rooms were large, clean and comfortable. An attrative hotel In true Andalucian style, well worth recommending to all prospective visitors. No. We would have liked to have spent longer there but hopefully we will return at a later date.
Exellent location, friendly & helpful staff, charming interior. Good enough breakfast, thus You can choose "breakfast menu" in a lot of nearby caffees. Some problems with air conditioning. I hope the solution will be realised asap.
Staff: very kind and helpful, spoke many languages. The room: very nice, big and silent. Well located for city walks, the cathedral, the Alhambra and Albayzin. Difficult to access by car. Parking rather expensive.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room comfortable. WiFi a plus. Great location: easy walk to train station and to shops and restaurants and buses. The atmosphere is charming.
The location was good. Relatively close to downtown--very close to good bakery an coffee shop. (That's where we got our breakfast every morning).
The room was very small and the hotel is in a small alley,no main road, the drain was very slow in the shower.
Friendly and informal. Gave excellent tourism advice.
Great location, helpful and friendly staff who speak English, nice property with a cute little courtyard to relax during the day with a nice cup of tea. Comfortable spacious rooms with a very useful heater and very comfortable, clean and well ventilated bathrooms.
The patio I was apprehensive upon approaching the hotel, but once inside, found it delightful and the staff very helpful. Of the four hotels we utilized this trip ( including a Barcelona luxury hotel, the Abadia was our favorite
Service provided by the staff No breakfast available
Friendly staff -typically Spanish but modern. Easy to find and close to railway and Granada centre. Nothing
Great location, excellent staff & comfortable room, what else do we need??
Location and possibility for parking the car.
In the centre of town and very near to bus stops to airport and to Alhambra. The price is excellent and the staff is friendly and communicate in English. No kettle and cups to make a cup of tea or coffee!
Leaving it The staff are the most unfriendly i have every come across. The Hostel is also very difficult to find and is on a street where the traffic never stops so you do not get a great deal of sleep if you are in a room to the front of the hostel
location service no good, room too small and spuky, too expensive for the quality of services offered.
center location a couple next to our room made noise at 3am. the wall is so thin that we could imagine exactly what they were doing.
perfect central location and cheap for those on a budget who just want a bed for a few nights and no thrills loud corridors and slamming doors sometimes annoying,
Cheap, good location, excellent value for money
no discretion at all between room. It´s as though only a curtain separate each room...., no breakfast whatsoever served there.... and the staff should learn to make you feel more welcome ..... but for the price paid, not really complaining, though watch the cleanliness of your bathroom !!!!
friendly reception, fluent in english (quite strange for Spain) - the 4-bed room was pretty good, clean with spacious bathroom, they changed towels everyday - the location was also great, about 10 minutes walk from every hotspot old windows that couldn't protect from cold and noise, but you could take it
The price was really good for a room with a bathroom, and the central location. The staff didn't even want to call a taxi for us, although we needed it urgently. They sent us to the taxi stand near the hotel, but all the taxis were occupied. Thankfully, we finally managed to find a bus to our destination.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Provided good facilities for our baby and was in an excellent location.
Excellent value for money and position. There's too noise in the near streets during the night...
their friendly, helpful attitude no
Good location, interesting design. Near enough to sites downtown. Parking nearby. Helpful staff. Flamenco tour recommended or coordinated by hotel was not a good value. Included breakfast was poor: just toast and coffee/tea; and service was very slow at best.
We had to pay our breakfast but according to the hotel´s offer should be gratis (including).
Location was OK. The room looked out onto a wall fitted with air conditioning units and was badly in need of renovation, there were even holes in the carpets. We were offered another room but were told this would be noisy.
The staff were helpful. It was good that the hotel allowed a double room for single use. The room was clean. Don't expect the Ritz, but for the price, the facilities were fine (ie no fridge, mini bar, internet in room etc). However it did have these facilities available in the foyer and the cafe. All rooms are smoking.
This hotel is not worth the money I paid for. During my recent holiday in Andalusia, I stayed at this hotel for 3 (1 day plus 2 day bookings) days, Zeus Hotel Malaga 1 day, Tryp Los Gallos Cordoba 2 days and Vime Corregidor Seville 3 days. Los Jeronimos is really a lousy deal. I rate it at 2 out of 10, whereas the other 3 are rated at 8 to 9.5. Please take this hotel out of booking.com. I am a frequent user of Booking.com for my hotel booking.
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful.
Conveniently located, cheap and it provided parking (for an extra 14euro per day). The first room we were assigned had dirty and worn carpets. We changed rooms - the second room was fine. However, we could hear a lot of noise from the room next door - maybe they were noisy, but i think it was more to do with poor sound insulation.
