We loved it and will definately stay here again. The easy going attitude toward our dogs was very important. We loved having the wonderful space to walk them adn getting to see the deer was great! My daughter especially like the Honey Nut Cheerios! :)
Loved the quiet, at-home atmosphere. Extremely accomodating. My favorite place to stay in Duluth!
Warm and cozy, great shower, wonderful sheets. Lots of room, vary clean, good coffee and continental breakfast too. The best kept secret in Duluth!
This room smelled good. Very clean. TV had cable. I will definately stay here again. Loved the fridge!
Very clean, quiet adn comfortable. Off the beaten path. Hope to come back!
We've stayed here before and will always come back here! We enjoy its peacefulness.
Everything is very good. The service is really good.
Nice little place. Love the quiet. Thank you for my stay.
Very friendly owner and staff. Lovely grounds. Quiet and clean.
Extra clean, great value, friendly owner, great customer service. Love the sheets and towels. Room had microwave and refrigerator. Grounds are neatly kept. Nice and quiet. Great view.
I liked the comfort of the bed and it was clean and new. I didn't like the fact that there was no pay per view.
Staff was very courteous and respectful. Excellent breakfast. Great rooms
Great views, comfortable and clean rooms, great amenities
Perfect weekend away with my husband and toddler. The rooms are clean and spacious. Loved the balcony, we watch the ships pull in and out my son loved this. The pool was great, shuttle service was convenient and the breakfast bar had plenty for all the choose from. Would recommend this place in a heartbeat!
We had a pleasant view of the harbor and enjoyed all of the amenities like the free hot breakfast, free internet, lounge area, free parking etc. pool looked inviting. Place was clean and staff were friendly. I would recommend this place. Beds were too soft.
This is a beautiful hotel right on Lake Superior. It is clean and well decorated. It is just on the other side of the aerial lift bridge, so convenient to everything in Canal Park. The breakfast was substantial and tasty.
This hotel is tucked about 6 blocks from Canal Park. Easy walking to shops and restaurants. Super clean and very nice hotel. We stayed at the Harbor Suit - awesome views from all windows and large patio to watch the boats. Our family of 4 was wowed!
loved the harbor view of the marina from the room! breakfast was a good assortment to choose from nice to have a balcony the staff were very nice and efficient too the room had nice decor, and hallways had great old pictures of the boathouse and area the whole hotel was very clean Pricey! a lounge/restaurant would have been nice, they had a small bar that only served a few types of beer. Anti smoking but that is the City of Duluth, the property is small so you dont have to go far to smoke off property
Very nice. Relaxing, and a nice walk to Canal Park
very inviting and friendly. have stayed here twice and would do it over again and recommend to others. here with my mother.
Staff Kate was nice. She did her best job to fix the mistakes the other staff didn't do. The hotel is nice but in a odd area looking out at a big boat yard and a few run down houses. When confirming my stay the staff didn't do anything they said. We got stuck with a room looking at a big blue roof. They did give us another room which was made for a wheelchair person so the bathroom shower had no tub so when taking a shower the water ran all over. This is an $90 to $100 hotel tops anything over that your wasting money sorry to say.
Complimentary breakfast, and they serve quite a bit of food. Good location close to Canal Park. It is a little bit pricey.
Hotel failed to service our room both days after being asked to handle it.
Nothing Didn't even stay, the lobby smelled like pee, and we simply left before checking in and cancelled. Gross.
Easy parking & to find. Wasn't too noisy. TOO bare bones....no coffee pot, no shampoo/conditioner, no KLEENEX. had flooring-not carpeting. Even for a weekend night, price jacked up too high for what you got. Lucky we only wanted it to have a place too sleep...
The room had the faint smell of new paint. The bed was in excellent condition and the overall cleanliness was a welcome change. The only thing I didn't care for was the rather loud 2am conversation outside me window from the parking lot.
Was clean, the parking lot was under construction so parking is very limited. Staff was very friendly and the rooms are average. Parking
uncomfortable beds--i woke up in pain and stiff. also there were pipes running along the floor, and the place smelled like cigarettes. no tissue or body wash. very unhappy with our stay!
The room and hallways smelled very badly!f Very unclean hotel!
Everything was great! Stayed in a newly remodeled first floor room. No carpeting in the room which we appreciated.
I enjoyed having my dogs travel with me. Duluth Grill shares parking lot, perfect. Fair price.
I didn't like the fact that there little furniture in the room. At least there should a couch or 2 comfortable chairs.
The front desk staff was great! Very friendly and helpful. The room was newly remodeled and cleab. The bed left a lot to be desired. It was very uncomfortable and you could feel the springs.
It's not terribly out of the way. The staff is nice and helpful and happy. The room looked newly remodeled. The whole floor, but especially my room, stank strongly of stale cigarettes, despite the fact that everything was labeled no smoking. The room was cold during the day, and freezing at night. I couldn't find a heating vent anywhere in the room, which probably explains why. This would be fine if the blankets were thick, but each of the blankets are about the thickness of a plain sheet, and about as warm, too. I had to get up and get bundled up in clothing and get back underneath the covers just so that I could get a good night's sleep. And because everything in the room is extremely hard (concrete-like "wood" flooring, walls with very rugged washable paint, etc) any sounds from the hallway reverberate throughout your room quite loudly. I would pay more money just to not stay here my next time in Duluth.
Location in Duluth. Smelled like smoke. Still brass key entry. outdated décor and bathroom. since like a motel better drapery. needs complete heating and cooling system. Air conditioners were covered and out of service. Hot weekend in Duluth.
The woman at the desk was very helpful with ideas of what to do in Duluth and where to have a nice dinner. Ex. Cruises and Pickwick. I reserved this room on Fri. We got there on Mon at 11am. There were no rooms available until 3pm. I requested a room on the first floor because my partner has MS and it is very hard for her to walk upstairs. The lady at the front desk told me that wasn't a problem. When I came back at 4 they gave me a room on the 2nd floor and when I told her I requested a room on the first floor she said there weren't any available. My partner walking up and down the stairs was very hard on her. I won't be coming back because I was told one thing and given something else. To top it off the cleanliness of the room was below average.
Convenient location. Very dark room. Carpet felt damp. Looked dingy and room didn't look clean. We picked this hotel as it was pet friendly. Found out when we arrived they don't accept cats. Won't book here again
Price Pretty run down, needs updating.
the hotel was clean, staff was friendly. The location was quiet for the most part (highway noise if you open the window). It was worth the money and I would stay at this location again. The continental breakfast was pretty pathetic.
