The staff was fantastic -- put us in a newly-remodeled room on the top floor with a great view!
The location isn't great, in a part of the city that's dead after dark. We had to take Uber to restaurants and shops in the Short North, more than a mile away.
A nice room in a good location. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Free Wi-Fi should have been offered instead of charging an extra fee. Free parking would also be an added bonus.
Great location, friendly staff. We were upgraded to a suite at no cost for our anniversary celebration. Would definitely stay again!
The $25 parking fee is ridiculous! We found a meter on the street since it was a Saturday and meters are turned off on Sundays.
The location is great. The lobby is nice, and the valet parking is very convenient.
The rooms are very dated and drafty. The staff had average customer service at best. There was one guy specifically that was just plain unpleasant at the front desk. It was a 4 star property at one point, not any more. Wouldn't stay again.
Location was pretty good. Not too far from downtown attractions. staff was very friendly and helpful.
Requested a king room, there were none ready when i checked in @ 6 pm. Was upgraded too a queen suite for free. Bathroom was really small for a 4 star hotel and suite. Drop ceiling in bathroom was hanging down above the sink. Tv stopped working.
Cost of parking
I loved the location. Its right downtown if you are going to any event or plan or shopping in downtown Columbus.
I didn't care for the valet only parking option...It was a little expensive and I prefer to park my own vehicle. The parking charge was 25.00 for one night.
The location was great.
The size and ergonomics of the bathroom were small and difficult.
Cleanliness and courteous staff
It sounded like a sliding door or something sliding constantly opening and closing the entire time we were there. All hours of the night. I got no sleep because of it
It was the perfect location.. Valet system was great
Food in restaurant was terrible and the wait staff was terrible
There is no parking unless you pay $25 a day for valet
Everyone, the front desk, valets, housekeeping & restaurant staff are very professional, friendly, and helpful. The beds & pillows get A+. The location is great for visiting OSU. When the renovation is completed it will be a very nice place to stay.
The hotel is old & tired. Even though we were on a high floor we still heard traffic noise. The infrastructure is noisy- we heard the guests in the rooms around & above us using their sinks, toilets and showers. Was told renovation starts soon.
2 different rooms and both we're dirty
Several features available at other Marriott properties patronized previously were either malfunctioning or non existent.
Entering the hotel was very nice. Every one was super nice and inviting.
The biggest problem I had with the hotel is that our room actually had a pretty big pile of glass in between the bed and the wall. I will say it was hard to see because I got cut on it but to get cut in your hotel room is a very bad experience.
After paying for parking feeling as though i still have to tip
Bathroom was tiny. Shower curtain had mildew on it.
They took my money and I couldn't stay their because I had dog! My fog is clean n neat..show dog. Nothing on their site said no dogs. I need my MONEY BACK..THIS IS BULL. HORRIBLE, IGNORANT DESK SERVICE!!!
I WANT MY MONEY BACK. TJEY STOLE MY MONEY AND REFUSED TO GIBE ME A ROOM..
Friendly Staff, and the view from my room.in addition to below. I had dust on my Kleenex box, and the carpeting had stains in it. HMMMMMM?? A 4 Star hotel???
I ordered a hamburger for lunch, med-well. I know that can take longer(12 minutes I was told by the bartender), which makes sense. Well 20-25 minute later, got my food, and went to my room. opened it, and the burger was TORCHED, and resembled a hockey puk
Pool on roof so no using during winter. You have to pay for parking as a guess and its $25.00 a day roughly.
Clean rooms very freindly staff
Charge - $ 25.00 parking not noted when booked room Charge - $ 12.50 for internet service most hotels offer this service for free.
location was all that I liked
it took forever for front desk to answer call. 30 minute line to get parked with a $25 fee. charge nearly $13 for wi fi, door on bathroom was a folding door, towels were very rough. I have stayed a 2 star hotels that were nicer.
Location; near many great restaurants, night market with food trucks. Beautiful décor. Very comfortable beds. Only a shower, no bath tub.
I think $25.00/day valet charge is extravagant; beyond that, the hotel should make their potential guests aware of the charge before committing to the room. The room service was also overpriced, i.e. $37+ for 2 bowls of tomato soup and 1 grilled cheese.
The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was very nice as well.
We ordered room service and they only sent up one set of utensils and they forgot an item. We called down and asked them for the missing items, but they never came back with them.
Great location and plenty to do around the area. Staff was friendly and helpful.
The air did not work and the room was very humid. Staff said it would be resolved, but our stay was only for one day. Not the best of experience for the price.
Hair in the shower. They double charged my credit card once I got there when I paid through Priceline they also booked room under my card which still isn't credited to my account
Great staff, all around
Had issues with air conditioning. Kept pumping in hot air into room all night, was too tired to bother complaining. Also, walls seemed fairly thin - could hear phone conversations through heater while trying to work at the desk.
Bed was good, room clean.
Bathrooms are terrible, small w weird low toilets.
Changed rooms 3 times before just settling. All were dirty with old duvet covers that were unraveling. Bathrooms were so small you could barely turn around in it. Walls were paper thin and you could hear the conversation next door. Terrible experience.
nothing really it was way over priced for what you get.
yeah paying 25 dollars for valet only parking in the garage which is right under the hotel. The closest parking garage was two blocks up. I parked there to save 15 bucks.
The view from our room (15th floor) was amazing.
Staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. They charge an outlandish $13 PER COMPUTER for Wi-Fi. Parking was $25 per night. Also be aware this hotel is rude to Priceline customers. After booking I called to request 2 queen beds; they refused.
They did a decent job with the renovations and the room was large. The beds were comfortable.
This is not a 4 star hotel. The toilet in the bathroom had been used and not flushed. There was mildew in the bathroom.
yes, staff friendly.
The whirlpool was not open and I really was looking forward to that.
The hotel was nice and the staff was friendly. The best part was that the room was spacious, which accomodated our family. The restaurant staff was friendly and the food was pretty good. Overall a good stay! There is n excellent steakhouse across the street.
We went to Columbus for a wedding. The hotel staff made us feel welcome upon checking in. It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel was in a great location downtown. Close to everything. I would definitely recommend to people.
-would say this hotel was on par with the Hyatts in Columbus, but not as good as the Westin.
We were in Columbus for a wedding and this hotel was perfect for our short stay... The staff was very friendly on check-in and the valet staff was helpful all weekend, despite being very busy. The location is also great... just about 10 minutes from the airport and close to the capitol building and other downtown sites. It is in a business area, so some of the restaurants and fast-food places were closed on the weekend... However, there were some places open, including the ''Tip Top'' bar, just around the corner (try the sweet potato fries!). It is also about a five minute drive to ''Short North'', a great area with yummy restaurants and fun bars. The room was great... very clean with a VERY comfortable bed (half a dozen pillows and a cozy down comforter). There was also a nice, big chair for reading or TV watching. The bar inside the hotel was nice and open late on the weekends...drinks were reasonable when compared to other hotel bars we've been to. All in all... a great pla...
The staff from the Bellman to the Security Guard were extremely courteous and helpful. We could not have asked for better service. The baths were small, but otherwise the rooms were nice.
I asked for a king bed and on lowest floor possible. I got neither...said they were booked up and both werent avalible. They were remodeling, and the restraunt was a mess. Will not go back.
I travel often on business and was expecting another nice but boring hotel. Wrong. The recently-remodeled rooms, lobby, bar and restaurant are fresh and very stylish (ultra-modern furniture in the rooms, for instance). In a word, the hotel it very ''hip.'' Room service was excellent, as was the restaurant.
