That the hotel was renovated recently, that the reception staff was friendly and helpful, that Callela had a quiet and pleasant atmosphere and that it was near Barcelona. That the drinks for the all inclusive menu weren't the real thing (the Coke wasn't real Coke), that the dining room could be improved, same with the food and that the sunbeds near the hotel's beach bar weren't free. Also, the cleaning staff from the upper levels were rather slow, sometimes we didn't have our room clean until 4 o'clock in the afternoon.
The hotel was classed as 4 star, I dont know who gave it this rating as it would be at best a poor 3 star. The dining room service was terrible, people had to queue up for a cup of tea. The quality of the food was comparble to that of prison food. There was poor sound-proofing between rooms and you could here those next door coughing, talking etc
1. Crowd for breakfast, 2.Too noise of young neighbours early in the morning 3. Uniform and plain food (mess commons) for breakfast
we loved the the cleanliness and the spacious rooms. staff were friendly and helpful, food was fresh and plentiful - would go back again. didn't like the noise from the bar, the cigarette smoke drifting up to our room from outside the bar every night, nor the ash and cigarette ends which ended up on our balcony from the rooms above. some of the guests could be a bit rowdy but we didn't frequent the bar so had no problems.
Good size rooms which were very clean & comfortable. I loved the location of the hotel - a 10 minute walk down to the many shops and restaurants. The beaches are absolutely beautiful again a 10 minute walk from hotel. We did not eat much in the hotel but I was impressed by the high quality of the food and variety in the evening. The hotel staff could do with attending a customer service course! The place was run to suit the staff and not the guests with too many unneccessary rules and regulations! The staff are very rude and tended to bark orders to the guests instead of politely asking. I felt uncomfortable and embarrassed on a few occassions.
-very friendly staff (reception and too restaurant); -clean and nice room with balcon; -bathroom with shampoo+gel+tooth brush; -very and good food; -open swimming pool in Januar (indoor); - nice place (not directly on beach - 350m, but nice - pinies etc)
On arrival we were told we were at the wrong hotel, when I showed my booking form the then said tHEY had overbooked and we had to be moved to a diffrent resort. I refused to move resorts and was eventually given a small box room that was meant to sleep 2. I will not book through your company again or this hotel as my holiday was ruined due to staff attitude and being let down by my booking. AS I have said above, and the entertainment consisted of a spanish old age pensioner disco.
The hotel staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help. the quality and variety of food in the restaurant was excellent. Hotel was very impressive with its cleanliness and facilities. It you are thinking of booking this hotel please do so you won't be disappointed Nothing negative can be said of this hotel
Food was very good.
We like to seat on the balkony. The location was very good. The coffee in the mornning. The hotel demand check out very early.
It is not high only 4 floors only euro sports and cnn in english
Close to the beach, friendly staff, clean room, nice restaurant near by. Family room is the same with standart room just added extra bed but price increased on 50%. We hade some problem with noise nights becouse the next door guests were very "energetic" with songs, drinks etc. It means there is a not good isolation between rooms.
staff and food noise between rooms
Pretty good hotel if you have no high requirements to the size of the room for fur people. Reastaurant is very good.
Breakfast was amazing. Hotel is fresh & clean. Breakfast ends at 10 AM, a little early. Room was above children's play pen so very noisy.
The hotel is located near the beach and more or less near the railway station. There were a lot of various food in the restaurant. The drinks for the dinner are too expensive. E. g. A cup of tea from the teabag - 1.5 EUR, 0.5 l of Coca-Cola - 2 EUR. The walls are too thin, so I could hear the elevator's movement next to my room.
very good hotel situated next to shop area and at a 3 minutes walk to the beach. excellent food(a lot of sea fruits) and staff. the dining area was a little too crowded
Nice hotel in a nice location, close to the train station. Rooms are modern and very clean. Walls are rather thin, noise from rooms next door easily penetrate through the wall and can disturb you. Breakfast not available before 7:45, so no breakfast if you're on business and need to leave early.
food was great
friendly staff, good selection on buffet and very proffessional would be nice to have a bigger pool area
Good breakfast, manager of hotel is very polite, good position. no parking place, arrogant man on reception, crashed car behind the hotel
The staff were very nice and helpfull. The room was very clean. Did not like the food. We went to restaurant early for meal and there was a queue. We went later on to try it out and the staff were clearly not happy as they were setting up for the next service. Even had to wait in a queue to make toast/
Excellent value for money
Very good breakfast. Close the the beach, parking was kind hard
The room and common space are very good and clean. The food is excellent. Small pool. Expensive hotel private parking (but it was not big issue to find free parking 50-100 meters from hotel), safe cost 4 additional Euros per day.
Have been to this hotel many times and always get such a warm welcome, especially from the Dining Room staff. They are also very much aware of special diets and are willing to provide what is required. Not enough sunbeds and lack of control of rowdiness around the pool.
Having been before, we were disappointed at the changes in the hotel, ie, the food was always cold and not very appetising. The all inclusive card which used to allow 2 drinks per person per day at the beach bar, has now been reduced to just 1 drink per person per day. Lack of activities and evening entertainment. A very large group of teenage boys who were on a rugby tour, but were staying in the hotel between matches, comandiered the swimming pool and made it unpleasant for toddlers and smaller children
Great location! Very small pool, bad room cleaning.
Nothing The balcony was viewed on all sides and looked as if it would fall down if you stood on it.there was no furniture on balcony and it was extremely noisy.
Yes.The hotel location prohibited the trasfer vehicles.I had a half hour walk to and from the hotel, being partially disabled.I did not hhave the fare(8 Euros)for a cab. Also there wasn't any soap providedmair conditioning was charged as extra and the meals were double what you quoted in your booking confirmation. This hotel was not up to your usual standard.
Everything was perfect
Very nice familyhotel i the heart of Calella very close to the beach and the shopping area.
Friendly reception/staff, breakfast buffet, location to shops, beach, and train station. Decoration was very old. High cost of airport travel.
Good position, nice hotel
relaxed but responsible atmosphere because the place was family run. Very convenient for beach - but without the necessity to occupy a block of flats with a load of chavs.
The apartment was very clean and quite, the price was adequate to the standard of the rooms and the service was very polite, we enjoyed the entertainment program at the hotel (flamenco, belly dance and promotions at the bar). The water in the swimming pools was rather cold, sometimes at the reception desk we were given inconsistent information depending on the receptionist. The beds could have been a bit more comfortable.
Friendly atmosphere, helpful staff, excellent food on offer Had no balcony first night although we`d paid for one
Excellent location , nice staff, great value for money We felt that the breakfast experience was a bit hairy to say the least! It felt like being rushed out the door with food being cleared infront of people. At one stage I went to refill my coffee and the machine was switched off and the staff refused to help me as it was 1 minute past 10am - the same thing happened with the toaster on another ocassion for my husband! We also found the music at night very loud - without reason on many ocassions.
Not too noisy. Close to main shopping area, train station and restuarants. Away from the main nightlife area. Buffet breakfast.
Good location to anything that matters. Kind and helpful staff. Extreme cleanliness. A tremendous amount of noise 24/7. Both from other rooms inside and from outside. This is not a family-friendly hotel as they claim, but a summer camp, in the peak season at least. Many guests were pretty rude.
This is a perfect pension which is more than an four stars hotel. Wonderful place to relax, all the staffs are frendly, very kind and they work with all their dedication. I really enjoyed this pension and I am ready to come there again. The first thing. I liked is that all the pictures I saw on internet were exactly what It is there. The advertising made on internet by this pension is not a fake.
Very nice hotel, not big, but very family.Comfortable room, very clean (every days), very helpfull personals, very good price for hier quality. I will recomemd this hotel to my friends.
We liked everything. This is a very good hotel
One of the best accomodation we ever found in Spain. Not fancy yet very clean and comfortable with very friendly staff. Nice urban view from the balcony at the top floor. Excellent price quality ratio. In the hiqh season, parking place seems to be a must.
Fabulous value for money. Proprietors very friendly and informative. We hope to return again
Good location, great stuff. No internet in the rooms.
The hotel staff was very helpful, we were right on the beach, Calella is wonderful, and it was an awesome value for our money. We loved it!
Good basic hotel - good value. Delivers what it says.
Breakfast included, Dinner available in the hotel at reasonable prices.
Very close to the hotel from the beach. Cleaning staff did a good job. The hotel is very poor sound insulation. Breakfast is very ordinary. Reception staff unfriendly. We very much regret given this hotel.
the food regarding I was in my honey moon it would of been nice if we had a room with sea view
The food excelent, bathroom excelent, bedroom excelent. My wife and myself go to Malgrat , Callela.frequently our sixth visit this year.and both are senior citizens. Value for money, can`t find any faults.
it was close to the beach, clean hotel and nice view
The locatoin was ideal for what i wanted. The breakfasts where very good , and the staff on the whole were very helpful The dinners were a little boring and the room was very noisey[night clubs and trains]
everything coffee in bedroom would have been good.
I thought the price was very competitive for what we got, the view of the beach from the room was also nice.
Location is very good, hotel is clean, fair value for the money.
hotel staff, short distnace to beach, breakfest, balcony and air conditioner in every room you hear all sounds from hall, from neighbours. Especially loud sounds go throught a door between your room and neighbours room.
Close to the beach (400m) with nice view to the sea Train passes just in front of the hotel causing everything in the room to vibrate from 06:30 to 23:00, every 10 minutes. Under the hotel there is a big disco so in front of the hotel there are noisy people until 2:00 - 3:00 AM making it hard to fall asleep as there is a lot of noise in the street. There is no fridge in the room. Breakfast is very poor.
Price/quality ratio, bouffet for lunch and dinner, the sea is near weak insonorisation, no special way to bring your heavy luggages to the hotel - you have to lift it using the regular stairs - very uncomfortable for elderly people or people having problems with backbone, small choice of TV programs, no refrigerator in the room
