location was great. room was very comfortable. no free wireless in rooms
Clean, comfortable and excellent location
location was very good
Location was very good, central, close to sites and very close to U-bahn (underground), which made the city very accessible. Information desk in lobby was very helpful and booked tickets for a show for us, gave map and directions and was very pleasant and helpful-sir, take a bow! Safe in room was very good and no charge. Comfy bed, great shower. Good all round. Didn't eat there, so cannot comment on food. Staff at initial check-in could have been friendlier, all staff after that were very helpful. We were charged €6 for large bottles of water left in the room. One would think a hotel of this standard could include this as complimentary.
The location, the acces to U-bahn, the service
convenience of location The toilets for the ground floor are on the first floor
comfortable, relaxed, good service Breakfast very expensive
The location was great! Checkpoint Charlie is right around the corner and the Brandenburg gate/Reichstag is easily within walking distance (10-15 minutes). We had a Deluxe room which was on the next to top floor. It had a big walkout patio with a good view of the city (great for our dogs). All of the other standard rooms had a tiny 3'x3' balcony. The room itself was very spacious, clean, and better than I expected. And last but not least.... the breakfast buffet was probably the best I've had in a hotel in Europe while traveling over the past few years. It was wonderful and we were very pleased with our stay. I cannot think of anything bad to say about our stay.
Good location, clean room, value for the fare.
the hotel was good, 10 - 15 mins walk to a shopping mall. nice breakfast as well. We were upgraded to a superior room. :) a bit far from main attractions, but Berlin is very spread out so you will need to take a train to main attractions, cant really walk it
The spa facilities were lovely.Staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. parking is expensive if you can't get in the hotel car park and you will get a parking ticket if you leave your car outside the hotel.
Silence Everything was just fine
great room, very helpful staff, convenient location no airconditioning we could find, no milk provided in room for making tea
everything. A good relaxed hotel on a good location with good service
the location of the hotel and quietness the room was very hot but we opened the windows and it was bearable
Great location, helpful friendly staff, excellent breakfast. Will definitely stay at the Relexa Hotel Stuttgarter Hof again, no complaints at all
staff were very helpful, had a lovely room, location excellent near everything that we wanted to see.would recommend highly
Very friendly and service minded staff. No problem in staying at this hotel with a little child - high chairs etc., and staff kept smiling, even though leaving a mess after breakfast, thanks ;-) Great food from the hotel restaurant - comfortable with room service.
Pro: -This hotel is very close to the U6 stop which makes it easy to get to from TXL - It is like a block away from Checkpoint Charlie, several blocks from Topography of Terror. -There are several shops just across the street that have local artist/made souvenirs. -It is convienient to many places. I walked everywhere from this hotel. -The room is fairly large for an European hotel and is updated and very clean -nice walk in shower - the room included a double bed -i didn't eat at the restaurant but it looked nice. - Free apples everyday - The staff was incredibly friendly. I was give a map and points of interest were marked for me at check in - free WiFi - there was a towel heater in the bathroom Cons: - The area is under lots of construction. My room was on the 1st floor and there are new residences next door. As of April 2017 the construction has just completed the foundation so it will likely be going on for a while. I was only staying for 2 days, otherwise I would have asked for a room on the other side, away from construction. The construction started a 730. -there were no wash cloths - there was no conditioner or lotion - The breakfast was €17. There were tons of coffee houses and cafes nearby so it wasn't an issue.
Excellent location, clean, good value for money. Small room
This hotel was very cheap for a 4 star - but not cheap enough for the poor design of the room. Close to Check Point Charlie and the U Barn and had a supermarket and japanese restaurant around the corner. The rooms were very modern given it is a relatively new hotel. Staff were friendly. Automatic blinds as the room looked straight onto the incoming traffic on the main street. This hotel is hazardous to stay in! Tiny is an understatment. The room was so poorly designed that I left after two nights with numerous bruises. I know I paid for a standard room but I expected to be able to turn around in the shower without bruising myself and get in and out of bed without bruising myself and having to jump over things. Did I mention I am only 5ft 1 and 42kgs? There are separate doonas and the beds are small. The bed is surrounded by wooden edges which you are most like to bruise yourself on. There was also a hole in my sheets which made the flimsy foam mattress and cheap lumpy pillows even worse! Did I mention that the closet was smaller than a mini bar? Good luck fitting even 1 winter parka in there!
The service was excellent and the hotel staff were always polite and very helpful.
Very central, next to Gendarmenmarkt and at a walking distance of Unter den Linden. A design hotel, very clean and big. A perfect value for money. Moreover, the breakfast is big and has high quality Breakfast a little too expensive (12 euros). If you do not usually eat a lot in the morning, you have a cheaper cafeterias next to the hotel in Friedrichstrasse
It was very clean. Beds were comfortable, big bathroom. Good localization. We were missing small stuff like shampoo, body milk, or small toothpaste. This would be very useful, escpecialy for people who travel a lot, and stay in many places for a short time
Location was very good. It would have been nice to use lobbys internet without cost.
Central location (next to Checkpoint Charlie) in the Mitte. Friendly staff who were never too busy to make you a cup of coffee at the bar.
Very accessible The shower is a little too open and visible in twin rooms. This is a bit odd if you are not sharing with a partner.
We appreciated the location of the hotel near the centre of the city, within walking distance of many major attractions. We had an upgraded room which we especially appreciated. Not sure what the regular rooms would have been like....
The room was a good size with a bath & shower and a view overlooking Berlin streets , Location was very good for sightseeing, The staff were very helpful with information on where to eat , drink etc. and even booked resturants for us . We as a couple cannot fault the hotel in any way
An excellent and attentive staff - even kept the bar open specifically for our group of 8 persons. Nothing was a trouble to them. We all made gift purchases at the hotel... Our rooms were spotlessly clean and although not ready for us when we arrived at 9:30 (we did not expect them to be), the very helpful receptionist took our luggage and gave us tags to collect on our return. When we returned we received an excellent run-down of facilites available in the hotel prior to being given our keys. Couldn't fault the excellent breakfast and our meal (included as part of the Italian Weekend Break) was also excellent - we went off the main menu at very little cost!!! The staff in this restaurant were also very warm and welcoming and helpful. Our upgraded suites were perfect also. Couldn't fault this hotel in any way. Would recommend to anybody and hope to make a return visit. Everything was perfect - may be an idea to have tea/coffee making facilites in the rooms but we didn't miss same!!!
Comfortably large room for 3 persons. Good location at a historic site. Good front desk staff who guided us in chalking out our city trips. Good breakfast spread. One of the best Mercure hotels I have stayed in.
paid for an ordinary room but was upgraded to suite on arrival, not requested by me.Room was 11 metres long and normal width. best I have ever had. A luxury suite at 90 euros. Fairly good position next to Checkpoint Charlie. Close to U trains and Friedrickstrasse for me..........perfect........no complaints
Great location, comfortable rooms and helpful staff. The breakfasts were relatively expensive but offered a wide selection of food - enough to last a morning of sightseeing!
The convenience to the city centre & stations. The overall comfort.
Cozy, quiet and comfortable. Helpful and friendly staff. Very relaxing stay. Room was a little overheated. Breakfast was good but a little expensive.
ggod value for money. quality rooms and very helpfuş staff. food variety at breakfast was excellent
Near downtown. Good communications (underground, etc). Free internet access and a free PC. I was very lucky because I booked a normal room and they gave me a suite
Family Suite was excellent size and Hotel was very central Did not like the fact that the hotel had no restaurant for evening meals.
The hotel had a family suite comprising of two double rooms which was ideal and very good value
Very good value, good location next to the Kochstrasse U-Bahn station and of course, Checkpoint Charlie. Clean, quiet rooms.
Breakfast was excellent. The U station only a few step from hoteldoor is a godsend. The guys in the lobby were all very helpful and efficient Acctually no.
The breakfast, the location and the room
location near metro station; bright clean comfy room; friendly helpful staff hard to avoid getting water all over the bathroom floor when showering
The hotel was comfortable, quiet and in a perfect location. N/A
Excellent hotel, helpful staff fantastic place to stay.
Front desk staff very friendly, informative and helpful. Rooms very comfortable although could have used some extra pillows. No tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms and room service for tea ridiculously over-priced. €8 for two teabags and 2 mugs of hot water. The cafe across the road makes better tea for a lot less. Had book a double and got two single beds pushed together. This is not too bad but the two single duvets were far too small.
Googd breakfast and space in the room Lack of drinking water in the bedrooms free of charge
centrally located, but still very quiet, roooms nice and comfortable, friendly and helpful staff bar could be opened earlier than 6 p.m.
Excellent all round facility. Great location.
Great location close to Check Point Charlie. Friendly staff, well furnished, comfortable and clean rooms. Quiet. No bath
The hotel was very clean and spacious, the staff very nice nothing was too much trouble. Would have liked tea making facitlities in the room
Modern, clean, excellent location in the centre of Berlin, friendly and helpful staff. The nights were very muggy and there was no aircon, nor could I open the window very wide. Being a brand new establishment the lift broke down a few times during my stay.
Clean, modern rooms and smiling friendly staff. Lack of coffee/tea making facilities and nowhere in the hotel where one could just get a cup of coffee.
very clean, quiet and comfortable; free internet access (and with good speed); execllent buffet breakfast; helpful staff. Very small room with some desing idea's that are not practical, although original. Small deception: "Tapas bar" has a quiet limited choice
Great location ; clean rooms
Beutiful new hotel, friendly staff, great location No air conditioner in the room
Very helpful staff, Very good location, The lights in the window alcoves, there should be a switch to turn them off. or at least information in the room that they were on an automatic timer. The glass screen between reception and the breakfast room. They are too like doors and lots of people tried them. The general lighting in the room was too complicated especially for short stay guests.
Superb location, spacious room, nice bed, hardly any noise from the street below. Nothing really - except that the breakfast (which was very good) perhaps was a little expensive at EUR 17. Nice view, though.
Our suite was large and very comfortable. The location was perfect for sightseeing and shopping. The staff was courteous, but didn't go out of their way to be helpful. It was only when I expressed frustration about the operating hours for the business center and laundry room, that they became more accomodating.
Silence Service, price
Quality of suite and furniture. And location was great. Staff were very helpful. Free use of the fitness centre
delux room, clear, very close to the underground station (just few steps),comfortable bed...staff are helpful and polite... wi fi is not popular and limited (by request for free 1 hr). it should be free of charge as the room rate is not cheap. Even not in-room wifi, but should be free in common area.
The stay was very pleasant, however, I do think that the breakfast was a bit overpriced. Also maybe they should have some flexibility on the check out time, not by much but by an hour or so would be great.
Everything was excellent Nothing
We enjoyed the fact that the suite was spacious and very clean. The location is perfect for a city/cultural trip. There was nothing that we did not like.
The location is perfect. Easy access to many sights. Stadmitte U Bahn station at the doorstep. Walking distance to many historic sites and great neighborhoods. Many food options close by. Brauhaus in the complex (not in the hotel). The "hotel" has limited services and it is more of a serviced apartment setup. We discovered the mixed use complex was designed by the renowned Architect - JP Kleihues (notable buildings in the reconstructed Berlin and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago). We rented a Management Suite and it worked out wonderfully for our family of 3. It was a spacious (very spacious by european standards) two room suite with separate WC and bathroom. There is a great amount of built in storage for clothes and luggage. Our unit had a nice balcony accessible from the bedroom and the living room. The unit had a kitchenette with ample dishes, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. But with so many restaurant options, why cook at home?? We arrived in Berlin quite early in the morning and pleaded with the desk to let us have our room early, but no chance. We left our bags and set out to explore in a very jet lag state. Official check-in is 15.00 so don't expect to receive your room anytime before. The staff was kind enough to offer us the lounge to relax and wait for our room. We were briefed on all of the properties services and when we were escorted to our room, our luggage was already there. This property is a very good value and suited our needs perfectly.
That's what we wanted for Berlin. All of our expectations were met !!
prime location, spacious room, room decoration and style
friendly staff, central location, excellent business rooms and free wifi no air conditioning in busines rooms upto 4th floor, very small 7th floor single room
Very friendly and helpful staff. Modern design. Beside metro station and located beside a very beautiful square in the city centre. Excellent breakfast.
A beautifully decorated hotel with the most pleasant helpful staff.
I liked the room design, nice amenities, nice staff and awesome location. The way the bathroom door was constructed did not offer the maximum privacy.
This hotel is beautifully furnished, absolutely spotlessly clean, the staff very friendly and helpful and the location ideal for just about anything in Berlin. When we arrived the hotel did not have my booking on their books but the staff was very accomodating and immediately and without hesitation gave me their last room available for the night at the rate of my booking. It was my partner's birthday and it could have been a nasty surprise but thanks to the professional and costumer oriented policy of the hotel, it turned out to be a perfect birthday weekend getaway. The wi-fi was fast and free of charge and the room spacious and very well decorated! We didn't take breakfast so I can't comment on that. All in all, this is a great hotel!
Nice hotel in excellent location with museums, restaurants, shops etc. nearby. Breakfast somewhat poor.
The room was very quiet and comfortable
modern decor, friendly staff, chocolate! na
Excellent location directly opposite big chain conference hotel (but less expensive), very kind staff, attractive rooms, original breakfast buffet, easy accesible free internet.
- we were fortunate enough to be given the penthouse on the 5th floor - excellent room with a lovely big bath in the centre of it - My wife thought it very special and enjoyed the experience of using it No -
For the most part of this hotel was good. The room was a little bit cold but not too much. And the nois of hallway was heard seriously loud: a sound of food steps, a nois of shutting of door, ect.
in the center of the town.next to the schopping area.can easily visit most places of interest on foot. it could have a more comfortable lobby.
the location, internet connection.
The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful with tourist questions
poor quality of WIFI connection (weak signal), missing parking place
The cleanliness of the rooms, the excellent location right in the city centre, the very reasonable prices, the friendliness of the staff.
Close to tourist area and staff very helpful Bed not too comfortable
Great room, friendly staff
it was near where we could reach sights, rooms were comfortable to return to and nice and big and airyand clean
Spacious room, nice "Biergarten", friendly and helpful staff Strange smell in the room, no waterheater and few tea or coffeesatchets (in a 4 star hotel should be a standard equipment)
It was a comfortable, well-placed apartment, which gave us a very good base for exploring the city centre and beyond.
Excellent apartment No
Very clean room. great kitchen. wifi worked well. perfect location.
Excellent location, service and room for the money
perfect location the bed was a bit uncomfortable, but I am very tall, thus this is a special case
Location close to the underground and shops and all places of interest The appartment was not ready at time of arrival
The apartment was very quiet, clean and centrally located. Small but very cosy. And the kitchen fully-equiped!. I really recommend it for a short visit to Berlin. The only problem I had is that the doorman didn't speak english, and we didn't speak german at all, was a bit difficult to explain him a problem we had with our keys. But everything was solved with good intentions and a bit of sign language
I liked the stay at Checkpoint Inn because it felt like a home and not a hotel room. I would certainly recommend it to people who wish to have a relaxing time after their busy days on business and who do not make fuss about buying coffee and cereal for breakfast.
Excellent accommodation.Fantastic location.Excellent transport links within two minutes walk. No towel change (perhaps owing to the time of year) - probably my fault for not investigating properly before going; but easily remedied by taking a spare next time!
The apartment was very close to checkpoint charlie and many other attractions in Berlin. We liked being able to make our own breakfast.Great to have wifi at low cost.Good security. Providing an extra pillow would have been helpful as they were not very deep. The blinds and curtains in the two rooms needed fixing or replacing.
Friendly staff The mattresses are too soft and the pillows are not very clean. There is a lot of traffic noise from Lepzigerstrasse the whole night and the windows are not sound-proof. As a result I almost did not sleep.
Proximity to Checkpoint Charlie, Excellent Bathrooms at end of hallway
non the room was very bad, full of moldy smell, and it smelled disgusting. The hotel staff's attitude is very poor.
Clean room and comfortable bathroom, nice people and brilliant location between friedrichstrasse and sony centre.
- The situation in the center of the town is really good. - The Hotel's team is always kind and helpful. - The rooms on the streets side are really too noisy. - Lack of air conditionning in the rooms during the summer (and Berlin weather can be very hot !) -
location - we were able to walk to everything
it's clean and good heating. breakfast is the same for three days
Very central, easy to find, parking available, nice staff, very good breakfast
No internet connection :(
it;s near the station and we can find it easily.and the breakfast is good vocie ..we cant sleep very well in the night
Very simple. Very central. Nice and clean.
the location is really central and the rooms are clean and warm and for breakfast there was lots of food WiFi did not reach the room
Close to centre Poor Heating
Bathroom Dirty towels
Amazing location, you can walk anywhere around the centeer within minutes. Great hot showers, spacious rooms and the price was ridiculously low. Wi-fi was a great plus and the breakfast very generous. Spotless room with wc and shower. Very low prices for snacks. Bought and umbrella and it was broken...
the location, and the breakfast everthing was perfect
Well located - very convenient to u Bahn.
good location and breakfast , The price is really very cheap. I booked for 3 days. The first day when I took bath, the hot water became cold. The bed sheets are thin and the heater does'nt work. But the season is winter, I amost frozen to death. So the second day I put on all my clothes.I asked for a new towel but the servers tell me I may pay 1 euro dollar. The wi-fi just only work on the first day.The walls are thin so i can hear the sounds from other rooms,i think other guests can hear my sounds too,so i must be quiet in room.
