Cleanliness and comfort.
A good hotel, a good selection of food for breakfast.
Booked for restaurant which was closed whole stay!!
Good breakfast, staff very helpful Room and bathroom a bit tired
Elevator very small,
well situated location for main line train station providing an ideal base to explore, comfortable
It wsa close to the City Centre and convenient for all facilities. The bedroom (for two people) was on the small side.
Location is very central Room was barely big enough to fit the second bed.
Very friendly, helpful staff. Location good. Good value for money
The hotel was clean and efficient. Breakfast was good. The beds were comfortable. The way in to the hotel was a bit difficult to find as there were road works in front of it. Although the car park was fairly near that was also a bit difficult to get to at a time when the traffic was very dense.
Near the station of train and of the town. The kitchen wiht somme plates, fork and glasses where stolen.
The best thing this place has going for it is its location. It's an easy walk to the cathedral and other sites, and there's a great waterfront street right across the river with a ton of restaurants. The front-desk staff was helpful, which given the deficiencies of the hotel, they needed to be. This is far and away the ugliest hotel we've ever stayed in. We got the "family suite". You walk in through a tiny kitchenette and into a "living room" furnished with a sofa bed and a small table with a TV. The other room has a full or maybe queen bed. There's absolutely no other furniture - no night stands, no dressers. There isn't even any bad art on the walls. It feels more like you're squatting in an recently abandoned apartment than staying in a hotel. The WiFi was absolutely non-existent. I'm used to hotels having painfully slow WiFi, but at least it's there. The night we arrived, the hotel's network wouldn't even show up on the list of available networks on any of our devices or my laptop. The next morning, it briefly showed up, but only long enough to bring up the sign-in page before disappearing. So the place saying they have WiFi is basically false advertising. Despite the room being set up supposedly for families and for four people, there were only two sets of towels in the room. The room wasn't dirty per-se, but it didn't feel clean, either. The drab grey paint on the walls probably didn't help. Neither did the hole in the door between the rooms. There is no air conditioning, and the fact that it's on a corner of two very busy streets meant that we had to choose between being kept up all night because the room was too hot, or being kept up all night because of the noise. We definitely would not repeat at this hotel, not would we recommend it to anyone else.
The price is too expensive for the room including facilities and equipments.
Excellent location, Free wi-fi. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. Breakfast extra. As a result we did not think the hotel was value for money.
Easy access to the centre of town The room was quite small for the money paid!! The bath was quite small for someone like myself who id 6Ft tall. There is a magnifying mirror on the glass mirror in the bathroom which has been placed on the wrong side , making it difficult to use.
Location No air conditioning, rooms may wish some renovation, wi-fi access price above average
Central position Very noisy at night No car park arrangement - car broken into
The breakfast with the local food products was quite good! I also liked the charm of the old "bourgeoise" home. It was a little noisy, we could hear the neihgbours in the room up to ours.
Nice hotel, clean friendly and very welcoming. Excellent location in the centre of town. A short walk to nearby parking.
The hotel rooms are small and the decor of the rooms is best described as varied. No off street parking. Hotel feels dated and gloomy
It was nice and quite, and the shower was very good with ample hot water, and the beds wer comfortable so we had a good nights sleep.
Good location. Functional but clean. Outside looked very poor. Breakfast was poor value.
Great location of the hotel near Christmas Markets and station. Very slight damp smell to room.
Good breakfast, I was surprised that such a small hotel has it's own ovens to make fresh bakery. Even in a 2* hotel, for a price of over 70 EUR a night I would expect to have at least a piece of soap in the bathroom.
The room was large and light. Staff were pleasant and spoke some English. Hotel was close to the centre of town. Off site parking was quite a walk with baggage. (tho cheap at 6 euros overnight).
Friendly Staff Friendly Staff
Location is excellent and access is easy from the cenre of Amiens I had booked parking at the Hotel, but on arrival I was told that the parking was full. The breakfast was very poor standard and frugal amounts on the table. Not a real choice of anything. Three cereals, one Yoghurt, be early or it's all gone, tea coffee and Jam plus bread. Pretty Poor. The Room in the promotional material looks fantastic and the material reads, immerse yourself in Art Deco Style in the Heart of Amiens. Well I obviously have no idea what Art Deco Implies as the room I got was very small, and not a shred of Art Deco, the reason I had chosen the Hotel. the shower also ran hot and cold.
I was given a room at the back. As I did not have breakfast at the hotel (it is not served until 08.30 am and I needed to set off early) I cannot comment on the breakfasts.
Great location, very practical. Basic facilities but enough for a young couple. Everything was as expected
The location Lack of storage space for clothes. The toilet in the room with no ceiling (Phew)
Good location for central city Small room. Basic breakfast.
The hotel was in a good location. It was very difficult to find and parking was tricky. The rooms were quite small and the stairs were difficult for my parents to get up and down with luggage.
The hotel is close to the railway station and easy to get to There was a strange smell in the room and it needed to be aired.
location is perfect, they have private parking. breakfast could be better
The furnishings are basic but very confortable and clean, the room was spacious, service good, petit dejeuner good. Ideal for short stay where you are out and about for the day.
The value for money for a hotel in a central location was good as was the continental breakfast - especially the croissants. The hotel did not have an air of freshness and smelt musty on the staircases and in my room. The shower room was also tired and smelt musty too. The hotel needs to be refreshed if this can be budgeted for.
Very close to the medieval city and cathedral and also the modern shopping area. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Appreciated the off-street parking. So, would recommend the hotel but with the limitations mentioned below Dark, dreary interior - mostly dark brown with poor lighting and no handrail on the stairs ( not suitable for my elderly mother who was with us ). Also, rooms for two people only included one chair - there should have been two chairs- and there was nowhere else where we could sit in comfort. Finally, although we had booked a triple room, when we arrived, there was no triple room available. At first, we were offered a small double room which we declined. We were then offered a larger, twin room which we accepted but had to point out that we expected a reduction on the price as shown on our booking form ( as their twin rooms cost less than their triple rooms ). After discussion, they did agree to this .
Great host! Hotel is managed by couple and has a homely atmostphere. Very nicely decorated. Decent tv (not one of those things mounted to the ceiling), but mostly French channels. Nice dog and cat. The neighborhood seems run down but it's only five minutes walk from the center and the restaurants. Highly recommended.
family hotel; friendly, good location
Very close to the train station, which was essential with my luggage and jet lag Make sure you bring your own toiletries, they don't have the best free ones
central to the heart of Amiens, station, bus terminus, bars, cheap food places but also good restaurants and the retail sector. Third floor and no lift.
The position of the hotel being close to the city centre and train station makes it easy for travelers to find.
The proprietors were charming and helpful. The room was quiet and the hotel was in a convenient location. Unfortunately Room 4's bed/mattress were very hard so it was difficult to sleep comfortably.
The people were lovely. The room was as described. We were completely comfortable. It isn't fun getting bags up and down a narrow stairway but it isn't a big deal either. We expected it.
For a 2-star, this place is amazing. Clean, quaint, good breakfast. I have stayed in 3-star hotels I was less satisfied with. I highly recomment Hotel Alsace Lorraine. Nothing. Great place.
Helpful staff No car park; no bar; tiny room
