Location and the evening wine reception were great. We used the free wine tasting coupon.
The room was next to the entrance and very noisy. They assign the worst rooms to the priceline customers, I guess.
The hotel was a pretty standard Marriott, if not above average. The rooms were clean, relatively big, and nice. Wine tastings each night in the lobby was a good touch. Even had dinner at the restaurant one lazy night, and found the food to be excellent. From the outside the hotel doesn't look as nice as it is on the inside, but that seems to be a theme in the area and shouldn't be considered a weakness of the hotel. The staff were very friendly. We didn't spend much time in the lobby except to use the free wifi there, but it was set up really well. Nice couches, convenient business center. We were there during the winter so it wasn't quite warm enough to take advantage of the outside space, but they had a nice pool and patio set up. Would be perfect if it were a bit warmer. Depending on which wineries you are going to, there may be better hotel locations. We went to several in sonoma and were about 20 minutes from the closest winery. Which we actually enjoyed because...
Lobby in the evening, had music and wine tasting, which was nice. Bed was very comfortable.
The amenities were awesome
I could hear guests by the pool (near or after midnight). You could also hear guests talking in hallway, they weren't yelling, the walls just seemed paper thin. All in all this made for a horribly sleepless night.
Room was very basic. Pool area was un-inviting. No outside area for walking, etc. Located on busy highway. Works for someone looking for a quick stay without any amenities. Fee to use spa. Should be complimentary for hotel guests.Member of rewards program and still had to pay for internet.
Nice room amenities, including in-room safe and fridge. Daily manager's happy hour with complimentary local wines. The spa is nicely appointed and suitably relaxing. Very close to resurgent downtown Napa, Yountville, and Silverado Trail. Personable staff.
Ambient noise, though not a huge issue, was loud enough that it bugged us when we tried to sleep. It was a mysterious hum which we couldn't locate, so it may have come from an adjoining room.Amongst the hotels in the Napa Valley, the Marriott is the one we've stayed at most frequently and also our favorite. Beds are very comfortable. Location is pretty optimal, especially for those who want to enjoy Napa but not necessarily lay out a ton of cash. The in-room fridge makes it handy to store snack/picnic provisions available nearby, at Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Genova Deli or any of the great vendors at Oxbow Public Market. VINeleven is much better than your average hotel restaurant/bar. Locally so...
Staff was wonderful and helped accommodate our request of two beds even though there was no place to request two beds on Priceline and the hotel was sold out of those rooms.
Only problem was there was no way on Priceline deals to indicate I wanted a room with two beds. Can't say enough positive comments about the staff!
This hotel is very clean, and the staff are extremely helpful. It is my favorite hotel in Napa -- easy to get up the valley, out of the congestion of downtown, and comfortable rooms.
The complimentary wine tastings each evening by a different vendor from the area.
THE ELEVATOR!! Scariest experience of my life each time we had to ride it. Invest in some maintenance!Lots of things to do and places to eat right around its location. It's south Napa, but the entire thing is only 18 miles long, so everything is accessible. Outdoor area was nice, bar was open.
