Duck Inn Lake Palestine is the perfect romantic getaway. It is a two-story brick waterfront guesthouse in the piney woods of East Texas--just south of Tyler. All three rooms are comfortably furnished rooms. Two are situated on the ground floor and there is an upstairs suite. All rooms face south across the lake to capture spectacular sunrises that illuminate a section of the 134 miles of shoreline. Sitting areas on shaded lawns under tall oak trees, on the long pier, or in the covered boathouse, provide perfect places for relaxation, contemplation, and meditation. Lake Palestine is a haven for perching birds and pelicans, waterfowl and woodpeckers, cardinals and kingfishers: Birdwatching is exceptional. Fishing is excellent all year and there are boat-launching facilities,fishing guides and lake tours available. For your convenience, your refrigerator will be stocked with a variety of both hot and cold breakfast items. You and your sweetie can heat up your own breakfast when you want it!
