It was very clean and the staff were super friendly and helpful. A great place to stay. When you walk in it has a spacious room with a fireplace to greet you and a computer and printer to use. Staff was so nice and even helped get my car started when the battery died and brushed the recent snow off my car. There was a little fridge and microwave in the room. Even though there was a big event going on in the city and there were lots of people there, we weren't kept awake. Would gladly stay there again.
Staff response to inquiry.
Not quite as clean as we had hoped.Surprised to have discounted vouchers given us for a breakfast.
The location of hotel for my meeting, walking distance to it, free car parking space, nice and courteous staff.
That they quit the complimentary breakfast they had before, use to enjoy the breakfasts there, the tv's need updating and need maid service daily.
Great value for the money. Downtown location, free parking. This is easily the best value for the money that I know of in Anchorage. Having stayed at other hotels in town I would expect to pay half again as much for an overall experience of similar quality. Although the outside of the building doesn't look like much, the interior is pleasant and the rooms are comfortable and clean. The downtown location is convenient and the parking is free (a rarity for a downtown hotel in my experience.) The free wi-fi was faster than most hotels I have visited and the airport shuttle would be quite handy for anyone visiting by air. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. All in all I found my stay to be quite pleasant and very easy on the wallet. For anyone looking for an inexpensive stay in Anchorage that is still clean, comfortable, and convenient, you'll not likely do better than this.
The price I paid made it an excellent value.
The breakfast has been replaced with coupons for $3 off breakfast at the restaurant next door, so you still have to buy breakfast. Also, their 'business center' is one computer in the lobby.Overall, the hotel provided an excellent value. The staff was friendly and helpful, parking was sufficient, and it was just a short walk to downtown. Our room was on the corner of the building overlooking 4th Avenue so there was a fair amount of street noise, but that's to be expected. Our room was on the top floor and was oddly warm (70+ even when our heater was off) when it was 40 outside. It was a bit uncomfortable and resulted in us having to run the A/C during the night. The room was clean, however, with plenty of towels and its own private balcony. I would definitely stay there again, but I'd probably request a room on the other side of the building to cut down on the street noise.
The beds were fantastic. better even than some of the fancy hotels. The people that worked there were very kind and accommodating. The breakfast place next door (Slippery Salmon)was wonderful. The roll away cots were comfortable, the beds were comfortable. The air conditioner was loud, but I really like loud air conditioners. No surprise fees.
Close to downtown and the airport. And the price.
I only stayed for on night so for my purposes, the hotel and everything it had to offer met my needs.Seeing that I only stayed at this hotel for one night and not even a full 24hrs at that, I don't have much in the way of a refined review off everything they had to offer. Given that, I enjoyed my stay. The women who checked us in was welcoming and walked through all the dinner and breakfast options. The room itself was clean, spacious and pleasant. It was nice to have a fridge and a microwave. The bed, upgraded to a king, was alright, but really, nothing beats the bed that waits for you at home. I wish we could have taken advantage of the breakfast and dinner coupons but alas, that was not in the cards for us, so I have nothing to comment on about that end. All in all, for our one night stay, it was lovely place to stay.
Nice little patio for each room, check-in guys were very nice
Looks sketchy on the outside, but was actually decent inside, no poolThis hotel will do the trick for a night. It's not in the best area of town, but not the worst either (except for the trains which you can hear all night long). It looks pretty bad on the outside, but the room was a pleasant surprise (based on the outside appearance). The 2 guys that checked us in were silly and goofy, but friendly and welcoming, whereas the guy who checked us out in the morning couldn't be bothered to stop texting long enough to look up at us. As far as a place to sleep for the night, it was okay.
Not clean, broken air conditioners, smelled musty, bathroom had holes in the wall. Seedy place It was the worst experience for my family at a very expensive cost. I will never stay at a Ramada again.
